Big Brother Naija Lockdown Housemate, Nengi has queried Ozo for keeping his distance from her since the Sunday live eviction show.

After the nomination process last night, an infuriated Nengi approached Ozo and quizzed him about his unusual distance and perceived attitude towards her.

Recall that Ozo had professed his love to Nengi and his intentions to spend the rest of his life with her, which she rejected on several occasions. However, Ozo was still persistent in his pursuit for her which earned him a lot of backlash from social media users for being a simp.

Ozo got a hard factory reset after his fellow housemate, Kiddwaya was evicted from the show and made him resolve to stay focused on his game and stay on his lane.

He had been distracted from his primary reason of being in the house and was more concerned about his feelings for Nengi. Hence, the decision to stay focused.

In the last few days, Ozo has successfully kept his distance and held his own but Nengi is unhappy with the distance and probably wants her friendship with Ozo back.

Popular Nigerian disc jockey and record producer, DJ Neptune has offered to be the DJ to play all the good music for free at Neo and Vee’s wedding, if the duo eventually decides to walk down the aisle.

He made this revelation following the couple’s entry into the grand finale of Big Brother Naija Season 5. Recall that, Neo and Vee luckily escaped nomination for eviction this week after nomination on Monday night.

In a surprise process for nominating housemates for possible eviction, the housemates were divided into two teams: white and black.

The black team nominated Laycon and TrikyTee for eviction, while white team nominated Dorathy and Ozo for possible eviction on Sunday.

Biggie thereafter named Ozo, Dorathy, Laycon and Tricky Tee as four housemates up for possible eviction ahead of Sunday’s final live eviction.

Reacting to the news, DJ Neptune took to Twitter to hail the couple in a tweet.

Nigerian on-air personality, Daddy Freeze has responded to a troll who said he stopped attacking pastors because he is afraid of curses.

The controversial media personality who has had altercations with several clergymen said he only addresses doctrinal issues as the spirit leads him to. He asserted that he is not afraid of curses and pleaded with people to tell their pastors to continue cursing him as it will be converted to blessings to him.

Taking to his Instagram account, Daddy Freeze highlighted bible verses to back up his assertion.

Disqualified Big Brother Naija housemate, Erica has stated that life threw lemons at her, but her fans used the situation to turn her life around.

The actress in a long speech thanked her Elites for their numerous support and also revealed how disappointed she has been when her BBNaija journey was cut shot but they never gave up on her.

Erica who took to her Instagram page to share a video that summarized her stay in the Big Brother house revealed that she stepped into the house as an open book and bore her strength and weakness for the world to see.

The video of Senator Abiola Ajimobi’s grave with world-class marble finishing, Air conditioning, luxury chairs and beautiful interior has got people talking.

The former Oyo state governor died on June 25, 2020 in Lagos from COVID-19 complications and was buried at his 6th Avenue, Yemoja Street, Oluyole Estate residence in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, according to Islamic rites.

His death came as a shock to many, as he was a promising politician in Nigeria.

Ajimobi’s family went all out to construct a mausoleum befitting for a king for the deceased.

In the video, the interior of the mausoleum was tiled with marble, furnished with Italian chairs and air-conditioning. It is said to have uninterrupted power supply.

Social media users have expressed their displeasure, claiming the mausoleum is unnecessary and the funds could have been used to finance other projects.

According to Premium Times, prosecutors have begun the process of arraignment by filling necessary documents and forms after his first appearance on August 17.

Hushpuppi reportedly entered a plea, insisting that he is not guilty of the charges. He will be represented in court by Vicki Podberesky, a top-rated lawyer in California and Gal Pissetzky, a Chicago-based lawyer appearing pro hac vice because he is not licensed to practise outside Chicago.

Customer allegedly shoots man dead over Shawarma in Lagos bar

The Lagos state police command is currently on the trail of a yet-to-be-identified man who allegedly shot one Kayode Oloruntoba in the stomach over Shawarma in the Alagbado area of Lagos State.

Punch reports that the unfortunate incident occurred after late Oloruntoba’s friend, Kazeem Okikilola, went to Avid Bar at Alagbado to buy Shawarma and called Oloruntoba to join him. However before Oloruntoba got to the bar, Okikilola and another customer had gotten into an argument over who was to be served first. The argument degenerated into a serious altercation and out of annoyance, the suspect left the spot, entered his car, and drove away.

A few minutes later, Oloruntoba met Okikiola at the spot and while they waited for the Shawarma, the suspect reportedly returned, brought out a gun, and shot in the direction of the two friends.

The bullet hit Oloruntoba in the stomach and the suspect immediately fled the scene after firing the shot.

A resident of the area who simply identified himself as Chinedu said the suspect mistakenly fired the shot at Oloruntoba who never met him or had the argument with him.

He said,

“He actually thought that he shot the person (Okikiola) he argued with. Unfortunately, the bullet hit the wrong person. Immediately, the suspect got back into his car and drove away.”

Another resident identified as Seyifunmi Akinola, said a native doctor assisted in removing the bullet from Oloruntoba’s body, adding that he died while being rushed to the hospital for further treatment.

In his words,

“Immediately the incident happened, his friends rushed him to the Merit Hospital where he was rejected because there was no police report. He was later referred to the General Hospital, Otta, Ogun State, where he was cleaned up and transferred to the General Hospital in Abeokuta.

“But instead of taking him to Abeokuta, they took him to a native doctor to remove the bullet from his body and returned him to the General Hospital in Otta, but he was rejected. He died on the way to another hospital.”

Confirming the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said six suspects, including Okikiola, have been interrogated over the unfortunate incident.

In an interview with the show’s host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu outside the house, he talked about his bottle incidence with Nengi which got him angry.

According to Kiddwaya, if not for the reality show ,he would not be in the same room as Nengi. He also that they wont cross paths.

“I lost my senses when she hugged me” – 67 year old man gives reason for raping 12 year old girl

A 67-year-old man identified as James Olajoyetan, has been apprehended by the police for allegedly raping and defiling a 12-year-old girl.

It was reported that James who happens to be a commercial tricyclist, took advantage of the little girl who came to spend Sallah holiday with her visually impaired grandfather in the Ejigbo, area of Lagos.

According to reports from ThisDay newspaper, the suspect allegedly raped the victim four times. It was reported that one of the occasions was right in the victim’s grandfather’s one-room apartment.

The 12 year old girl stated that James had called her, pretending to send her on an errand when he grabbed and defiled her.

In her words,

“When I went , I stood in front of his door. He told me to come inside to collect the money. When I did, he shut the door,pulled off my pants, laid me on the bed, pulled off his trouser, brought out his manhood and laid on me.While he was doing it I wanted to shout. He hit me severally and covered my mouth”

The rapist was caught by a neighbor who was alerted by the victim’s cry and out of curiosity, he peeped through the window, forced the door open, to catch him in the act. He resided an alarm and residents rushed to the apartment and handed the suspect to the police.

James who confessed to the crime said,

“My wife died in 2005. I have six children, the first is 35yrs and the last is 17yrs. I am still shocked that I could lay with a child that is much younger than my last child.

“When she came in, I gave her N100 and she hugged me. At that point, I lost my sense of judgement”.

Veteran actor, Pete Edochie, has alleged that he is being threatened concerning his role in an upcoming movie, “Fatal Arrogance”, as the movie is alleged to have ridiculed the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN).

In an interview with Sahara Reporters on Monday, the 73 years old thespian said broadcast messages and YouTube videos were circulated on WhatsApp in an attempt to forestall the project.

In his words,

“I was part of a movie that was done a few days ago. Two days after we ended shooting that film, I got calls from people all over the country referring me to WhatsApp.

“I checked and saw that the IMN, according to what I read, had notified the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) that Pete Edochie and the Nigerian government, with some actors from the north, had done a production that was intended to ridicule and misrepresent them.

“One claimed the government gave money to Pete Edochie to exculpate them from what they did in Zaria years ago. I’m moved to comment on this… I don’t understand what IMN is driving at.

“If they have complained to the Inspector-General of Police, and the IGP says to give him a copy of the film, what are we going to do because the film is not in existence yet? It is not in circulation.

“I’m supposed to have played a role that ridiculed their boss, chief, whoever is in charge of their group. I am suggesting that you wait, keep your gunpowder dry, when the film is released.

“You can now make your grumbles known to the IGP. Whatever is being done now is premature, it is not proper. Fatal Arrogance, whatever it deals with, the best thing is to wait until it comes out.”

It was gathered that the IMN, better known as Shiites, petitioned Mohammed Adamu, the police chief, saying that the movie portrayed the group in a bad light. Edochie, however, urged the sect to direct all grievances to the movie producers.

“My name in the film is Alhaji Shasha Kurungu. I’m not aware there’s a leader of any religious sect in Nigeria who answers that. If there is, it’s a pure coincidence; the name is fictional,” he added.

“If you want to express resentment over a production you haven’t watched, direct your grievances to the producer of the film, not to Pete Edochie who is a mere actor, it does not concern me.

“I did not write it, the film was produced by Kingsley Orji Anosike. I thank all those people who informed me of the campaign, denigration, and the organised threat of my person by the IMN.

“I thank you all. I’m a free-born of Nigeria, I was born and raised in Nigeria. I’m not going to run away from this country because a few individuals think they want things done in their own way.”

Popular Kenyan socialite, Vera Sidika has disclosed the whopping amount she spent on her breast implants years ago in Beverly Hills, US.

The socialite revealed that she splashed Sh.2 million (N7.1m) to get her silicone implants and said she went in for the surgery to make her body proportional because she used to be thick with a flat chest.

She said,

“I wasn’t proportional…I used to be thick but not proportional so I just decided to be proportional and added mu Boobs and I at least don’t wear bras anymore…. It costed me $20000 (Sh.2 million). Singer, Simi signs new deal with Apple music’s “Platoon”

Nigerian singer, Simisola Ogunleye, popularly known by her stage name, Simi has signed a partnership deal with Platoon, a UK-based record label owned by Apple Music.

Simi the newest member of Platoon, made the announcement on her Instagram page with a video in which she had a meeting with the Platoon family.

Similarly, she took to her Twitter page on Monday to also shared a video spotlight of herself in the caption of which she announced the coming of her next studio project titled ‘Restless’ EP.

Platoon Music, which was acquired by Apple in 2018, works with artistes to produce, distribute, and sell their content while using analytics to figure out the target market for their style of music.

Recently, the CEO of Platoon Records, Denzyl Feigelson, revealed his label’s intentions to help artists get through the pandemic. Some of the artists who recently joined the Platoon family include Cuppy and Mr Eazi.

Big Brother Naija ‘lockdown’ housemate, Laycon has revealed that he is yet to recover from Erica’s disqualification.

Laycon said this on Monday night during a conversation with Trikytee.

In his words ;

“The major thing I’ve not gotten over is Erica’s eviction.

“I have not recovered from her disqualification”.

Recall that Erica was disqualified from the Lockdown house after flouting several house rules.

The night before her disqualification, Erica verbally abused and bodyshamed Laycon.

However, after her disqualification, she disclosed that she does not hate Laycon.

Nigerian Rapper, Eva Alordiah has critically questioned why Nigerian men offer women to start a conversation with them.

She questioned the reason why they exhibit this behavior and how we got here.

Taking to her twitter account, Eva wondered who is to blame exactly. Could it be the way ladies have presented themselves or is the problem with the men.

Her tweet reads,

This is coming after a Nigerian lady took to the social networking platform to reveal that a man sent her 50,000 Naira just because she responded to his chat.

“Well, I love being a woman,” the user, @_Matriach wrote alongside screenshots of her chat with the said man and the bank alert of 50,000 Naira she received from him.

Susan Waya, mother of Big Brother Naija evicted housemate, Kiddwaya, has stated that her son’s love interest Erica, is a sweet lady as she finally reached out to her.

Mrs Waya, who spoke with Erica on phone, described the evicted BBNaija housemate as a “sweet lady”, adding that their conversation lasted for about 10 minutes.

She disclosed this to The Boss, a newspaper owned by Dele Momodu, on Monday.

Kidd’s mum, who lives in Essex, United Kingdom, revealed that she’s looking forward to meeting Erica.

In her words,

“She’s such a sweet lady… I’m looking forward to meeting her and can’t wait to see my son very soon in Lagos.”

However, Kiddwaya’s billionaire father earlier revealed that his son’s beau, Erica has not been picking his calls or responding to his messages.

He made this disclosure in an exclusive interview with BBC News Pidgin on Instagram. The billionaire said that he tried reaching Erica after her disqualification to encourage and empathize with her, but she refused to take his calls.

He said in pidgin,

“I con send message to her to tell her to take am easy, that it is not the end of the world because since she left she has not been taking calls, so I sent her a text message to calm down and Kiddwaya’s senior brother is talking to her, so that is not a problem.

“At least she con show my son love for there, so personally I don’t have a problem with her”.

Sanwo-Olu, Amaechi visit train crash site in Oshodi

The Lagos state governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Minister of Transportation, Hon. Rotimi Amaechi payed a visit to the scene of the tragic accident involving a train and a vehicle on Monday, Sept 15.

The accident occurred around 8am on Monday Morning.

According to the DG of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, the passenger bus with registration number GGE 972 GE veered onto the train tracks while crossing the rail at PWD inward Oshodi, Lagos. The bus was then dragged along for a stretch of the journey before the train managed to come to a complete halt.

Quick responders from the agency was able to successfully extricate the passengers. Six people sustained minor injuries and were provided with on-site medical care while two males were severely injured and were taken to LASUTH for further treatment. Two of the passengers unfortunately lost their lives in the accident.

Sanwo-Olu sympathised with the families of the victims, describing the accident as regrettable.

This accident happened on the day stakeholders reached a consensus to close the gates into the arena at the railway line because of safety concerns.

Big Brother Naija Lockdown housemate, Ozo has stated that he is presently pissed at his love interest, Nengi.

This is coming after the relationship between the two housemates became very sour with Ozo complaining about the fact that Nengi never congratulated him for surviving Sunday night eviction.

Ozo made this revelation in a conversation with vee.

In his words,

“I am so pissed at Nengi. I had my bath, talked with Dorathy for a while, Nengi came in and saw us talking and she dropped the pictures of me that I gave to her on my bed and didn’t speak to me again.”

Meanwhile, Nengi has earned herself a spot in the grand finale of the year’s edition after emerging the Head of House on Monday.

After a fierce competition with five other housemates, Nengi emerged as winner of this week’s challenge and will now be the Head of the house for the penultimate week of the fifth edition of the series.

Nengi now has immunity from this week’s eviction process and has access to the executive Head of House lounge and all of the benefits that comes with it.

Talented Nigerian singign sensation, Davido, following his social media comeback, shared a photo he took with his only son, Ifeanyi on his Instagram page.

The singer, captioning the photo, wrote simply “Junior”.

Since the birth of David Ifeanyi Adeleke Junior about a year ago, his parents, Davido and Chioma have refused to reveal his identity.

Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeruo and his wife, Chioma, have welcomed their second child.

The new father took to his Instagram page to share the news of the arrival of his daughter. He praised his wife for blessing him with the priceless gift.

Sharing photos of his newborn daughter, the excited father wrote,

“Another reason to be grateful to God. Thank you, my superwoman @oma_omeruo, it will take the grace of God to stop oh if u keep giving me gorgeous kids like this. I Love you”.

The couple had their traditionally marriage on December 30th, 2017, and their white wedding on May 15th, 2018.

Well wishers have taken to the comment section to congratulate the couple on the arrival of their bundle of Joy.
