Operatives of the Uyo zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC), have arrested 22 suspected internet fraudsters at different locations in Imo state.
The all-male suspects, whose ages range between 20 and 41, were nabbed recently at “Sight and Services” within “World Bank”, in Ugwuma Town and “Road Safety” by Toronto road, Egbu, Owerri, Imo state.
They are: Chinonso Anozie Frank; Ogadibo Victor Chikeluba; Clinton Njoku Onyekachi; Okoro Edwin Chigozie; Anozie Chibuzor Harold; Anyaeriuba Canice; Ogbuehi Anderson; Okere Nonye; Njoku Paul Chibuike; Ndalaka Felix Chukwuebuka and Anele Chibuike Timothy.
Others are; Chidi Kalu; Uparai Daniel; Ubochi Christian Ikechukwu; Udoka Obi; Chiagozie Morris Obiano; Moses Akaedite; Henry Princewill Chisom; Prince Ibe; Ugwuegbu Fredrick Ekenna, William Peter Obinna and Udoka Ihiekwe Kelechi.
At the point of arrest, several cars and gadgets were recovered from them and they include: A black Lexus E5 330; a silver-coloured Toyota Corolla LE, a silver-coloured Toyota Camry and a blue Toyota Corolla LE.
Others include a silver -coloured Lexus E5; a black Toyota Venza, a grey -coloured Mercedes ML350 SUV and a silver- coloured Toyota Highlander SUV.
Also recovered from them are 15 laptops and 20 sophisticated mobile phones. The suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

A young Nigerian man has cried out after plumber removed 23 used condoms that was blocking the toilet in his uncle’s house.
He took to nairaland to share the story. According to him, the uncle and his wife have just celebrated their second year anniversary and have been blessed with a child.
However, the marriage is on the verge of collapse because of the used condoms found in the toilet. The uncle is surprised as he is not always home and has never used condom on his wife.
The house was reportedly built a year ago so it couldn’t have been there before they moved in.

Big Brother Naija housemates Vee and Nengi, on Wednesday night engaged in an argument. Nengi blew up over a sarcastic comment Vee made about her and Ozo.
Ozo, Laycon and Vee found themselves in the same group for the Patricia Bitcoin task but Ozo was seen to be the weak one on the team as he left them in the middle of the rehearsal to be with his love interest, Nengi.
Vee blamed Nengi for distracting Ozo, which led to their group loosing the task.
According to her, Nengi and Ozo did not concentrate during the group task, adding that she was fond of taking out time to be with Ozo which led to their team’s loss.
Nengi felt the statement was harsh and flared up though Vee had claimed it was sarcasm and she never meant what she said.
Nengi who got very angry at Vee’s statement noted there are things one should not joke with.
She said,

“You are rude and I know that was not a sarcastic joke. It was not nice, nobody wants to fail any task intentionally.
“All she said was unnecessary.”

A woman has narrated how refusing the advances of a man led to an altercation that landed her in trouble with the law as police intervened and allegedly took his side.
@naebili said a man in a car offered her a lift but she declined and crossed to the other side of the road to take a bike.
While on the bike, the man’s car overtook the bike and suddenly stopped in front of the bike blocking their way. This move almost caused an accident as the bike man nearly crashed into the car.
She claimed the man then accosted her and said: “How can I be talking to you and you’ll just walk away like that? That’s not how they do things nah. You girls won’t know who you’re talking to, you’ll just be behaving anyhow.”
She said she tried to cross over to the other side of the road but the man grabbed the belt loop of her jean trousers, pulled her back, and slapped her.
In anger, she picked up bricks and threw at the man’s car.
She said the police arrived at this point and took the man’s side. They took them both to the station, demonised her, then asked her to pay for the man’s broken window.
Fortunately for her, she made a call to a friend and the friend called a senior police officer who came to her rescue.

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan zonal office, have arrested two pairs of brothers: Ayoola Timilehin, Olusola Timilehin, and Oladayo Fayemi, Tolulope Fayemi and three others suspected to be internet fraudsters.
The other three suspects arrested with them are Temitope Kumuyi, Babatunde Oyelakin, and Olanrewaju Ibrahim. They are all between the 20 and 30.
They were arrested at their hideout on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at Alaka, Elebu area of Ibadan, Oyo State.
The suspects were arrested based on intelligence linking them with opulence without any identifiable means of livelihood. Items recovered from them, include: four cars, laptops, exotic phones, and a stamp bearing the identity of the bursary section of Queensland University’s School of Medicine, Australia.
They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

Many communities have been affected after Margai bridge which links Kebbe Local Government Area with other parts of Sokoto State, collapsed due to severe flooding.
It was learnt that a part of the bridge, which was built during the tenure of Governor Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa, was washed away by the ravaging flood on Tuesday, September 8.
The only alternative route for the inhabitants of the area was that linking them with Jega Local Government Area of Kebbi State, which is over 100 kilometres from Sokoto metropolis, Daily Trust reports.
Malam Anas Dukura, who hailed from Kebbe, expressed fear that scores of students might miss the ongoing WAEC, unless something urgent is done.
He said,
“Our people must reach Jega, through a rough route, and then go to Aliero, another local government area in Kebbi State, before coming back to Tambuwal,” he said.

A Thai teenager, identified as Siraphop Masukarat, has been hospitalized after a python bit the tip of his penis as he sat on the toilet seat.
The 18 year old went to the loo on Tuesday evening, when he felt an intense pain on his manhood. As he looked down, he saw that the snake had bitten the tip of his penis, with blood spurted on the toilet bowl.
This unfortunate incident took place in Nonthaburi, central Thailand, around 13 miles north of Bangkok.
Siraphop ran out of the toilet with his pants halfway down. On sighting him, his mother called paramedics who rushed him to the nearby Bang Yai Hospital to have his wounded penis treated.
Doctors stitched the tip of the penis and treated the bite wound with antibiotic wash, to kill any bacteria from the python’s fangs.
Narrating his horrific experience, Siraphop said:“I was using the toilet but a few moments after I sat down, I suddenly felt pain in my penis. I looked down and saw there was a snake hanging in the toilet. Then there was blood everywhere.
“It was only a small snake but its bite was so strong. I hope that my penis can recover.”
According to reports, animals arrived at the scene and found the python still coiled up in the toilet bowl. They used their equipment to snare the snake and put it into a sack before releasing it back into woodland.
The mother of the victim, Sutapath Masukarat, who was still terrified expressed her shock and wondered how the snake got into the house.
She said: “I don’t know how the snake got into my house. It could have been through the drain connected to the toilet.
“I know the snake really hurt my son but I’m relieved it was only a non-venomous python. If it was a cobra, he would be dead.
“He will be scared every time he goes to toilet. But he’s recovering well at the hospital and I’m thankful to the rescue volunteers for catching the snake.”

A man in a video circulating social media could be seen demonstrating traits of insanity after reportedly alighting from his brand new Benz.
The incident happened in Anambra state.
In the clip, the unidentified young man could be seen acting really strange as eye witnesses gathered and sympathized with him over the unexplained situation.
According to reports, he allegedly came down from his 4matic Benz and started roaming about the street like a mentally unstable person.

A popular US-based Ghanaian pastor identified as Sylvester Ofori has been arrested after he shot his wife Barbara Tommey.
The incident took place outside the 27-year-old woman’s workplace at the Navy Federal Credit Union, near the Mall at Millenia in Orlando, on Tuesday 8th September 2020.
Barbara was shot by Sylvester, near the business’ front doors on the 4600 block of Gardens Park Boulevard just before 9 a.m., an Orlando Police Department spokesperson said.
Tommey was pronounced dead at Orlando Regional Medical Center shortly after she was rushed there for medical attention.
The 35-year-old pastor was taken into custody at his apartment Tuesday evening, the OPD spokesperson said. He is being held at the Orange County Jail without bond on a charge of first-degree murder with a firearm.
During a press conference Tuesday morning, Chief Orlando Rolón said the shooting was captured on CCTV.
“You can tell that she was surprised by what was happening,” he said.
The Navy Federal Credit Union released a statement on the shooting.
The statement reads,
“This morning, a team member was fatally injured during an act of violence outside our Millenia branch, by a man she knew, according to the police.
“Our thoughts are with our team member’s family. Our number one priority is keeping both our members and team members safe. We will ensure all team members at the branch are provided with the support they need during this time. Any further information can be provided by the Orlando Police Department.

Lalude has however been honoured by the Akinjide Adeosun Foundation (AAF).
The Foundation on Wednesday conferred on Dr. Lalude its 2020 Leadership Award, during the AAF 5th annual colloquium with the theme, “Integrity – A Sine Qua Non to Building a Prosperous Nation’’.
Speaking at the event which held virtually, Mr Akinjide Adeosun, AAF’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer of St. Rachael’s Pharmaceutical Nigeria Ltd., said the recognition of Lalude was is in line with the core mandate of the foundation.
The core mandate is based on the belief that life would be good for everyone if the nation gets leadership right in all spheres.
“Integrity is an essential building block to building a prosperous nation. Truthfulness, honesty, respect for people, hard work and humility are traits of Integrity”.
In his words,
“Many years ago, our awardee, Papa Olufemi Lalude, the first managing director of the Shell Nigeria Exploration & production Company SNEPCO was offered a bribe of 6 million dollars.
“The organisation that offered him the bribe moved against him. However, he refused to be cowed and stood his ground.
“He was sued with his employer but he triumphed. Lalude is a man of integrity, a rarity in our clime dwarfed by corruption and greed.
“Today, Papa at 81 is living a peaceful, joyous and fulfilled contented life. We are celebrating him today. He began his career with integrity as his legacy in mind.
“We have many good people in Nigeria. We must celebrate them to dwarf the bad publicity the few bad people is giving our nation.” He added.
Billionaire, Terry Waya has revealed why he allowed his son, Kiddwaya carry out his National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, in Abia State.
He disclosed this during an Instagram live session with Dele Momodu on Tuesday night. Terry said he did not influence Kiddwaya’s posting because he wanted him to feel the pains of average Nigerians.

Terry Waya via his Instagram live with Mr. Dele Momodu of Ovation Magazine, praised Erica for loving his son Kiddwaya unconditionally and being at his side all the time.
He then promised her half of the ultimate prize money if his son Kiddwaya wins the show.

Celebrity barman and Instagram celebrity, Pascal Chibuike Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest has lost an ambassadorial deal with V Bank, barely 4 months after signing the deal.
The legal officer of V Bank issued the notice of termination letter to Cubana Chief Priest on September 7, 2020.
The reason for the termination wasn’t succinctly stated in the letter. However, there are speculations that it might be as a result of the assault allegation against him.
It was earlier reported that the night life entertainer assaulted a woman at his former club, Cubana Owerri and fled.

According to recent reports, Cubana Chief Priest ended his partnership with his boss and chairman of Cubana Group, Obi Cubana.

A Niagrian lady has taken to social media to advise men to marry women who can at least afford to pay electricity bill in their absence.
The Nigerian lady identified as Cynthia Anyisia on Facebook gave this advice on the platform today, September 9.
According to her, Nigerian men when thinking of marriage, should lookout for that lady who can afford to “at least” pay electricity bill in their absence, unlike those who would let power supply to be disconnected and wait for the husband to return so they could tell him “honey they have cut our light”.
She wrote in a popular Facebook group, “Marry a woman that can at least pay for Nepa bill. Not the one that will say honey they have cut our light”.
