Embattled Nigerian Instagram Big boy, Ramon Abbas popularly known as “Hushpuppi“ has been arraigned in a court in California, United States, ahead of his trial which will begin in October.
The 37-year-old Nigerian man accused of being the leader of a group that facilitates computer intrusion, business email compromise (BEC) fraud and money laundering pleaded not guilty to the four-count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, money laundering conspiracies, international money laundering and engaging in monetary transactions in property derived from specified unlawful activity.
According to Premium Times, prosecutors have begun the process of arraignment by filling necessary documents and forms after his first appearance on August 17.
Hushpuppi reportedly entered a plea, insisting that he is not guilty of the charges. He will be represented in court by Vicki Podberesky, a top-rated lawyer in California and Gal Pissetzky, a Chicago-based lawyer appearing pro hac vice because he is not licensed to practise outside Chicago.
Relationship expert, Joro Olumofin has filed a lawsuit against popular blogger, Tunde Ednut over cyber stalking and constant defamation.
The drama, began after Tunde Ednut shared a post where he insinuated that Joro Olumofin fakes the messages he claims he receives from readers.
Tunde once shared a photo of a man operating multiple phones, with the words, “Joro sending emails to himself and starting them with ‘Uncle Joro please keep me anon”.
Joro has however filed a lawsuit against the blogger for defamation, and he has vowed to make him get deported back to Nigeria.

Earlier this month, veteran Music producer, Samklef called Tunde Ednut for blocking him and Ubi Franklin on Instagram.
He said this happened after himself and the MMMG Boss, Ubi Franklin started their channels on the social media platform.
Flashing back to how he’s been friends with Tunde Ednut since 2007, Samklef disclosed that they were blocked by the former comedian and singer because he felt they are a threat.
He added that he doesn’t believe Tunde Ednut relocated from Nigeria to the United States with his “competition mentality”.

A 21-year-old lady identified as Blessing Levi, has been arraigned before a Magistrate Court in Choba Community in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, on a three-count charge.
The charge included; indecent dressing in a public place and taking the photograph of a police officer.
Blessing was alleged to have sometime in May 2020 taken a photograph of a police sergeant without his consent and as well dressed indecently with intent to cause disorderliness among members of the public.
She pleaded not guilty of the charges and was granted bail by Chief Magistrate Israel Agbaesor to the tune of N100,000 with a surety in like sum, who must deposit two passport photographs and must be resident in the same Jurisdiction.
Chief Magistrate Agbaesor ordered that the accused be remanded in police custody pending the fulfilment of her bail conditions.
The matter was adjourned till 22nd of October, 2020 for hearing.
Similarly, Abdullahi Salisu, 27, who allegedly assaulted Bintu Adams, a 100 year old woman was recently arraigned at the Ile-Ife Magistrates’ Court.
The prosecution counsel, Insp. Sunday Osanyintuyi alleged that the defendant perpetrated this crime on Sunday, August 16 around 3.45pm at Sabo, Ile-Ife.
Osanyintuyi told the court that the defendant and others, who are still at large, attacked Bintu Adams and inflicted injuries on her forehead.
He claimed that the defendant also attacked a 20 year old housewife, one Mrs Usman Adamu.
The offence, he said, violated the provisions of sections 355 and 516 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Osun, 2020.
The defendant was charged with three counts of conspiracy, assault and causing hurt, however he pleaded not guilty.
The Defence Counsel, Mr Leke Dada, pleaded for the bail of the defendant in most Liberal terms.
Magistrate A. A. Ayeni granted bail to the defendant in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like amount.

The usual practice is for the woman to take up her husband’s surname after marriage, but Ryan Morrison has revealed that he is going against the norm as he is going to adopt the surname of his wife after marriage.
Explaining the reason behind his decision, Ryan said his surname doesn’t have any root, as his grandpa gave them a random name to hide a family secret.
On the other hand, the surname of his wife can be traced back to hundreds of years in Japan.

The unarmed black man, Jacob Blake, who was shot in the back seven times by a white police officer in the presence of his three children in Kenosha, Wisconsin has been left paralyzed from the waist down after the shooting.
The Police officers were called to the scene of the incident because of a domestic dispute in the neighbourhood. They responded but it ended with one of them shooting the black father on Sunday, August 23rd around 5pm.
The shooting instigated riots and protests in the state for two consecutive nights.
Jacob Blake’s father, speaking to a US newspaper said the victim is now paralysed from the waist down and doctors are not sure if it is going to be permanent.
He also said that Jacob had eight holes in his body, contradicting initial reports that he was shot seven times.
“What justified all those shots?” his father asked. “What justified doing that in front of my grandsons? What are we doing?”
His fiancée, Laquisha Booker, speaking to local NBC channel described how the children were screaming as their father was shot.
She asked why the police would shoot someone “who’s not armed, not giving you no problems”.
“You shot him numerous times for no reason, it didn’t take all that,” she said. “[You] disregard that my kids was in the car at all – and you knew that they were in there because I kept screaming that before y’all made it to the other side of the driver’s side to get him in the car.
“I’ve been yelling that the whole time, let me get my kids. So that’s not important to y’all. What’s important is killing somebody.”
The officers involved in the shooting have been placed on administrative leave.
Zimbabwe’s most wanted armed robber, Musa Taj Abdul has been arrested after 20 years of unleashing terror.
He has been on the police wanted list since 1999 and was linked to the robbery attack on December 2019 at Wessel Shop in Msasa, Harare.
Taj who has been on the run for over two decades, was arrested Monday night while he was in the company of six other accomplices in the border town of Beitbridge.
It was alleged that his gang disarmed a security guard and stole a special Amadeo Rossi revolver, $160 000 and an Isuzu KB240 single cab vehicle.
On February 5th this year, the gang went to Makoni Shopping Centre, Chitungwiza, armed with pistols, an AK47 rifle and robbed unsuspecting complainants of US$19 000, $30 000, cellphones and a Toyota Allion vehicle, which was later found abandoned in Glen View.
On February 26th, the gang robbed another victim in Harare of US$40 000, jewelry, several pairs of shoes, a laptop, cellphones, a star pistol, and a Hyundai vehicle. They proceeded to the victim’s workplace and robbed him of US$227 250 and R28 000 with only US$10 000 being recovered by the police.
The suspect is also known for evading police arrests and escaping shootouts which has led to the death of some of his gang members.

Billionaire daughter Florence Otedola, known professionally as DJ Cuppy has revealed that animal sounds inspired her latest album, “Original Copy”.
In a statement to TheCable Lifestyle, Cuppy said she visited her family’s farm in Epe, Lagos, where she recorded series of ambient and animal sound samples used in the album.
“I went back to my roots, where I am from; Epe and mixed with the locals for inspiration, I visited my family’s farm and recorded lots of ambient and animal sound samples. If you listen very carefully you can hear these in each track,” She said.

In other news, popular Nigerian Yoruba actress, Dayo Amusa took to her page recently to share a series of photos and in one of them, a troll commented her dislike and asked why “Yoruba actors are local”.
The actress had shared some throwback photos from set of her rocking a duvet with black boots and sun shades, and an internet troll commented saying some Yoruba actress are just so local.
The lady commented saying; “Some of Yoruba actress are just so local……what is this now”
Dayo reacting to the insensitive comment the fan made, replied saying; “If only you know how disgusting, dirty, uncultured, irritating, sickening, you are.”
Fans were quick to check out the troll’s page, only to discover that she’s a fervent chorister in church and wonder why someone with such spirituality will be a troll on social media.
Popular Nigerian singer, Naira Marley has reacted after the identity of the owner of a popular instagran blog was revealed.
In what seems to have been an unintentional error, the IG account of the blog mistakenly went live on their official instagram account, and a face that showed, shouted “Jesus” and immediately went off the live video.

Nigerians are having a field day over the possible revelation of the face behind one of Nigeria’s popular social media blogs, Instablog9ja.
In what seems to have been a mistake, the blog mistakenly went live on their official instagram account, and a face that showed, shouted “Jesus” and immediately went off the live video.
Though the individual was on for only a few seconds, eagle-eyed netizens were able to make a snapshot of the person who appears to be a middle aged woman.
Reacting to the situation, the blog on their Twitter page, tweeted,

Twitter has gone wild with people’s reactions and comments about the incident. Some people are saying the woman’s life is at risk because of some sensitive posts she has made about certain celebrities in the past.

A video which captured the moment a lady’s long braid got stuck in the wheels of a commercial motorcycle, has gone viral after it was shared on social media.
The video which is currently serving rounds online shows people gathering around the scene trying to help the unidentified lady get her braids untangled from the wheels of the bike.
While the bikeman is still seated as he moves the bike forward and backward trying to untangle the hair, the lady is seen in quite uncomfortable position as her braided blonde hair, probably over 20 inches, twirls round the wheels of the bike.
Nollywood actress, Dayo Amusa has taken to her Instagram page to advise men in relationships to constantly shower their girlfriends with money.
The actress who isn’t okay with men asking her questions and not giving her money, decided to address the issue.
According to Dayo, these type of men need to learn the habit of asking for account number and sending money, instead of asking how the night was every time.
She stated that men who do not have money,should not be able to sleep well at night.
In her words,
“Ask for her account number and send her money, not every time, “how was your night”.. person wey no get money dey sleep?”
However, Nigerians on Instagram who did not find her opinion funny at all decided to react and call Dayo names.
