Pepper Dem housemate and finalist, Mike Edwards has revealed how he feels about Erica and Kiddwaya in the BBNaija ‘Lockdown’ edition.

The reality who is also expecting his first child with his wife, Perri took to his page on Twitter to share how he feels about Erica and Kiddwaya

Every day, viewers of the Big Brother Naija show take to their various social media pages to share their views about the Lockdown housemates.

While everyone has housemates that they support, they also have those that they admire. This is no different for 2019 BBNaija Pepper Dem housemate Mike Edwards.

Although he has not openly shown support for any of the housemates.

According to him, the Lockdown housemates look cute together.

Mike Edwards is expecting his first child with his wife and former athlete Perri Shakes Drayton.

The expectant mother and former athlete took to social media to share photos from her baby shower which according to her, took place yesterday, August 17.

Mike was missing at the baby shower, but the occasion was filled family and friends of the couple.

According to her, her baby shower was memorable and a day to remember.

There has been dating speculations between the duo.

This won’t be  the first time, he is posting her picture on his page.

On July 25 2020,  he shared a photo of himself and actress Rosy Meurer, as he explained the importance of loyalty in business and personal life.

Recall that shortly after the marriage between Tonto and Churchill ended,  she accused Rosy of having an affair with Churchill, an allegation Rosy denied.

Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter, Naira Marley has advised ladies to make their own money.

The Controversial singer, took to his Twitter page to give this advise.

According to him , when ladies make their money it saves them from unnecessary sex.

“Girls make your own money it will save you from unnecessary sex”, He wrote.

This advise came days after the rapper revealed that he doesn’t see the need to show off his wealth.

He stated that the reason he does not flaunt his riches online is solely because he has the real money as such, there’s no need to try and prove a point.

Man arraigned in court for allegedly assaulting a 100 year old woman

Man arraigned

Abdullahi Salisu, 27, who allegedly assaulted Bintu Adams, a 100 year old woman was arraigned at the Ile-Ife Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

The prosecution counsel, Insp. Sunday Osanyintuyi alleged that the defendant perpetrated this crime on Sunday, August 16 around 3.45pm at Sabo, Ile-Ife.

Osanyintuyi told the court that the defendant and others, who are still at large, attacked Bintu Adams and inflicted injuries on her forehead.

He claimed that the defendant also attacked a 20 year old housewife, one Mrs Usman Adamu.

The offence, he said, violated the provisions of sections 355 and 516 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Osun, 2020.

The defendant was charged with three counts of conspiracy, assault and causing hurt, however he pleaded not guilty.

The Defence Counsel, Mr Leke Dada, pleaded for the bail of the defendant in most Liberal terms.

Magistrate A. A. Ayeni granted bail to the defendant in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like amount.

Ayeni ordered that the sureties must swear to affidavit of means, reside within the court jurisdiction and the addresses must be verified by the prosecutor.

He adjourned the hearing until Sept 24.

In related news, a middle-aged man, David Kigoma Onguyi was arraigned in court after verbally abusing a female trader at Maasai Market in Kenya.

The porter-cum-menial worker was charged with creating disturbance in a manner likely to cause breach of peace, after insulting the woman identified simply as Nyaboke at the market where she runs a Maasai curio shop on January 5, 2020.

The heated exchange ensued after the suspect who took a customer to Nyaboke’s shop on December 19 where she bought goods worth Ksh500, refused giving her the money but promised to settle the debt “later in the day”.

All attempts for Onguyi to give Nyaboke the money was futile, leading to claims of the trader’s private part stinking at the market where other traders and customers watched in disbelief. Continue reading here

Big Brother Naija ‘lockdown’ current Head of House, Kiddwaya, has apologised to his fellow housemates over the seemingly insensitive comments he made last night.

Recall that last night, Kiddwaya said his net-worth and bank account are bigger than all his fellow housemates in the Big Brother Naija house. (Read Here)

Terseer Waya alias Kiddwaya is the son of a Benue State billionaire, Terry Waya. He made the statement while talking to his love interest, Erica – former Deputy HoH.

His fellow housemates, especially Ozo and Wathoni deemed the comments insensitive and this were angered by it.

However, he apologized today, saying his comments were “quite insensitive but wasn’t an attack on anybody.”

A photo of House of Representatives majority leader, Hon Alhassan Ado-Doguwa with his four wives and 27 children, is making rounds on the internet as he clocks 55.

Recall that in January the lawmaker representing Doguwa/Tudun Wada federal constituency of Kano state in the House of Representatives, made the news for revealing that he has 27 children and still counting.

Daguwa disclosed this while being sworn in at the house plenary session on Wednesday January 29, also showed off his 4 wives he came to the chamber with.

Daguwa said;

“Mr. Speaker, I would like to let you know that with me today here, are my four respected wives.

“Mr Speaker, these four wives you have seen have produced 27 kids for me, and I am still counting. I am still counting.”

Commenting on the disclosure, the House of Representatives Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila jokingly said “the more, the merrier”.

Gbajabiamila said;

“I must bring to the knowledge of this house a little anecdote, what you told me, sometime ago. You told me, don’t beg me, you told me it was getting late around 7 o’clock, and there were many children playing in front of your house in Kano.

“You got worried and you went out, you told the children, “common, what are you still doing outside by this time of the day. You people should go to your homes.

“And one of them said to you, “haba, baba, this is my house.” So he was one of those 27 children. But I guess, the more, the merrier. You get my point; continue.”

Nollywood Veteran actor, Kanayo O. Kanayo has condemned the act of men kneeling to propose. He described it as being un-African and copied from the western world.

The actor expressed his agreement with Pete Edochie’s statement in an Instagram live video where he said that the practice is not part of our culture.

He, however, issued a disclaimer that his statement shouldn’t stop people from living their lives. He iterated that they should live it the way they want and they don’t necessarily have to live with him in the stone age.

Carpenter stabbed to death while trying to protect a prostitute from assault

A carpenter in Kogi, was stabbed to death on Monday, while he was trying to prevent his neighbour, Murtala Dare, from assaulting a prostitute at a popular bar in Lokoja.

Dare and Lukeman are neighbors, who own shops opposite the popular drinking spot where call girls used the behind for short time.

According to report, Dare wanted to beat the prostitute for taking a customer to the back of the building for a quickie.

The suspect usually collects money for the use of the spot, so he interrupted their rump and threatened to beat the girl for not paying him.

Dare who is now in police custody was said to have interrupted the sex rump and threatened to beat the call girl. It was, however, gathered that the intervention by late Lukeman to stop Dare from being violent, angered Dare who broke a bottle and allegedly stabbed Lukeman Kabiru on the neck.

The Kogi State Police Public Relation officer, (PPRO), DSP William Aya confirmed the suspect was arrested in his hideouts at the back of Total Filling Station in Lokoja.

Big Brother Naija housemate, Ozo’s immediate elder sister, has in a new video that’s currently making rounds online, begged viewers of the show not to think that her brother doesn’t deserve to win at the end of the reality show.

According to her, while a lot of people might have the notion that the 28 year old consultant is undeserving of the grand prize because he comes from a well-to-do family and a rich background, she pleads that such notion shouldn’t deter his chances of winning as he’s also had his fair share of struggles.

In the video she made to address the issue, this sister, Ugy Chukwu shared of how Ozo had been a late bloomer, but his perseverance and hard work is what has brought him this far and even when he tried to achieve some things a while back, he had setbacks.

Man left heartbroken after finding out his wife has been sleeping with her Doctor for 10 years

A Nigerian is left heartbroken after finding out his wife of 10 years has been sleeping with Doctor in a hospital where she goes to, for antenatal.

According to the man, his wife is a very quiet person who appears reserved but got disappointed to find out she is “a big serpent”.

He revealed that whenever his wife is pregnant, she insists on a particular hospital and Doctor, not knowing she has been sleeping with him all the while.

They have two kids and she is currently pregnant with their third child. He has sent her packing and has subjected his 2 children to DNA test and is awaiting result.

For him, the only regrets he has is that he has invested so much in the family; has been spending on his mother-in-law’s health, bought a new car for his brother-in-law which he uses as a cab and sent his wife to University of Calabar after marrying her.

Honestly, if not that she is pregnant now, maybe I would have bitten her to death two weeks ago after I found out that the reason she is always running to the doctor is because of their evil deeds. How can a man who calls himself a doctor be sleeping with a pregnant woman? I have never denied this whore of a wife my body. Even when I return tired from work, I still perform my duty. Anyway, I don’t want any problem that is why I threw her and the bastard she is Carrying out of my house same last week. Right now, my parents and siblings have already been notified. Kidd, who had a bit of drama yesterday with the rest of the housemates, was about to retire to the executive suite when he pulled Erica to himself and began fondling her breasts.

According to him, saying you cannot marry a poor man is a symptom of poverty.

The broadcaster noted that ladies who knows how to make money, do not make money their focus in choosing a life partner.

Omokiri, while shading ladies, who make money a criteria in choosing a man, advised men to refrain from using money to attract women.

He noted that, using money to attract women, will make a man end up marrying a woman that is only after his pocket.

Olakunle Churchill finally breaks silence on being the father of Tboss’ baby

Mr. Olakunle Churchill, ex-husband of Nollywood actress, Tonto Dike has come out publicly to deny the rumour of being the father of Tboss‘ baby.

There has been speculations about the resemblance between Tboss’ daughter and Churchill. However, Mr Churchill has refuted the claim in the comment section of actor Uche Maduagwu’s post on Instagram.

The actor threw the question that has been on the lips of fans at Churchill:

Mr. Churchill responded that he is not the father of Tboss’ daughter and people should leave her alone.

Nollywood actress, Damilola Adegbite has given a piece of advice to her followers on her Instagram page.

In her post shared recently, the mother of one educated her fans and followers on the need to live their lives without depending on anybody or expecting much from people.

According to her, this really gives the peace. Sharing a very nice photo of herself, she wrote;

We all want different things in life and very rarely, do we completely put other people’s needs before ours. Nigerian songwriter and music entrepreneur, Oluwatosin Ajibade, popularly known by the stage name, Mr Eazi, will this week grace African Voices Changemakers, a personality magazine programme of the Cable News Network (CNN) sponsored by telecommunications service giant, Globacom.

Born July 19, 1991, in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, the 29-year-old read Mechanical Engineering at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana, from where he began his musical career in 2012 with his rhythm and blues single entitled “Pipi Dance”.

The single garnered huge traction online culminating in more high-profile recordings for him. These included “Skin Tight” which featured Efya in 2015. This gave rise to further collaborations with other notable artistes including Ghanaian R&B star, Sarkodie; Lil Kesh, and Burna Boy who are both successful Nigerian music merchants.

In 2017, Mr. Eazi released the mixtape, Life Is Eazi, Vol. 1: Accra to Lagos, which featured guest appearances by Big Lean, Tekno, Phyno, DJ Cuppy, and others. The album contained singles like “Leg Over” and “Tilapia” which became instant hits with music lovers across the African continent.

He will be telling viewers how his music traversed Nigeria to Ghana leading to him pioneering Banku music which is a rare fusion of Ghanaian highlife and Nigerian chord progressions and rhythms.

African Voices Changemakers will be on DSTV Channel 401 on Saturday at 9.00 p.m. and on Sunday at 4.30 a.m., 7.30 a.m., 12.30 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. The programme will be repeated on Monday at 5.30 a.m.

Nigerian Doctor says it’s unfair for people who cheat in WAEC to become medical doctors

A medical Doctor, Dr Aisha has taken to social media to publicly condemn exam malpractice while giving reasons why it is not fair.

Nigerian Doctor says

Dr Aisha lamented over the high rate of exam malpractices in the West African Examination Council Exam, WAEC, exam papers leaking and level of unseriousness among the youths with regards to studying hard.

According to her, it is not fair for people to cheat in WAEC exams only for them to end up studying to become medical doctors knoing fully well they did not merit the course of study or profession.

“WAEC of those days is different from nowadays, expo everywhere, our younger generation no longer read like the way we use to do back then, It’s not fair for someone who cheat in his Waec to be a medical doctor…. I am proud because i don’t cheat.” she said.

Enugu Stay-at-home mom returns N14 Million mistakenly paid into her account

A honest mother returned approximately N14m that was mistakenly paid into her account in Enugu state.

On Monday, August 3rd, one Mrs Josephine Nchetaka Chukwujama Eze, a mother-of-three, received an alert of N13,946,400 from Sankiya Global Investment Ltd, a company she didn’t know and had no transaction with.

She made up her mind to return the money to her bank. She also told her husband and he agreed that it was the right thing to do.

The following day, Tuesday, Mrs Chukwujama, in company of her husband visited her bank at Zik Avenue, and informed the bank about the alert she received.

Her husband, Chukwujama Eze, a journalist and lawyer, revealed that a number of people have condemned them for being naive and not “smart” enough. However, he said he’s proud of his wife.

Man allegedly impersonates deceased landlord’s son to claim his estates, bank deposit

The Anambra state command of Nigeria Police have arrested one Ikechukwu Igwegbe Ilodinru for allegedly impersonating his dead landlord’s son with the intention of claiming his estates and bank deposit.

Spokesperson of the state police command, Haruna Mohammed said the 43-year-old suspect who hails from Onneh village in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra, approached the probate Registry of the State High Court in Awka and started processing for a letter of admin in respect of a deceased person namely; late Okafor Osuokwu Anthony and presented himself as the deceased’s first and only Son in order to obtain the document which would have given him access to the deceased property, estates, and bank deposit.

‘‘Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect equally swore to an oath under false pretense that he is the deceased’s biological son. The suspect also obtained a forged death certificate allegedly from the National Population Commission stating that the deceased whose actual death took place on 27th of July 2020, occurred on the 23rd of July 2020. “

He quickly rushed to Union bank to withdraw the deceased’s deposit, but was advised to get a letter of administration; The suspect who voluntarily confessed to the crime, was a tenant in the deceased’s house at Igboukwu and impersonated the deceased’s first son who lives in Zaria, Kaduna state.’‘ the spokesperson said.

Haruna said exhibits recovered in his possession include alleged forged dead certificate of the deceased, false sworn declaration as the deceased’s next of kin, and sworn affidavit in the High Court, Awka.

The police spokesperson while stating that an investigation is ongoing, added the suspect would be charged to court for prosecution.
