#BBNaija: Why I don’t like sleeping in your bed – Prince tells Tolanibaj

Big Brother Naija housemate, Prince revealed to his supposed love interest, Tolanibaj, that he feels uncomfortable sleeping in her bed.

According to Prince, he does not sleep peacefully whenever he sleeps on Tolanibaj’s bed and that his spirit doesn’t accept some of her roommates.

The 25-year-old who hails from Imo state, said whenever he passes the night in Tolani’s room, he’ll have to start sleeping all over again in his own bed the next day.

He said this as he was confronted by Tolani who asked him to explain why he avoids her room. “It’s just about me,” he said.

“If I don’t feel comfortable about any place I don’t like being in that place. Yes I can come there during the day do whatever but I’m not just comfortable sleeping there.

“As a matter of fact I don’t really feel comfortable sleeping in any other beds. Me telling you that I don’t feel comfortable sleeping in you guys’ room, that’s the reason.

“I don’t feel comfortable there. Even when I sleep in your room, I don’t sleep as peacefully because even when I wake up the next day…how many times have I slept in your room?

“For every single time [I slept in your room] I always go back to my room to sleep the next day. The funny thing is, I wasn’t even the one that noticed it. People in my room noticed it.” he told her.

Man thanks God after he escaped death. (Graphic Photos)

A young Nigerian man has taken to his social media page to thank God for giving him a second chance after he had a close encounter with death.

Orji Kelechi Alichi shared photos of his battered face while he was in a hospital fighting for his life and he thanked God for saving him.

Kelechi also appreciated the doctors and nurses for helping to nurse him back to life, adding that some people who have had the same experience died on the spot.

Part of his post reads ;

Even though I walk through the valley of shadow of death. I fear no evil for God is with me, that is the summary of my story. If not for God’s favour and mercies upon my life, this story could have taken another form. It may have been a sad story with sorrow and tears but God almighty has re-written my story and turned it into a story of joy, happiness and a new beginning.

I don’t need anyone to tell me that the hand of God was upon me, some people have such experience and die at the spot or lose their memory, but MY CASE IS DIFFERENT, it pays to serve Jesus, he says in Lam 3:37 “who has spoken and it came to pass, unless the lord has commanded it”. Am grateful to God Almighty for a new beginning, a fresh start and a golden privilege to do his work here on earth.

Am grateful to my family for their care, love, prayers, provisions and support towards me, if not for their support the healing process would have taken a longer time. To my friends who visited me at the hospital, those who called and those who said a prayer am ever grateful.

Nigerian man shares how his uncle is desperate to reunite with his children who all left him because he was too strict

A Nigerian man has taken to his social media page to share the story of his uncle who was quite strict with his kids when they were young, is now desperate in reuniting with them.

He shared of how the said Uncle visited his last child recently baring gifts after complaining that he barely keeps in touch with him or even visit him despite living in the same state.

The father and son engaged in difficult conversations during the visit and though it was quite awkward, it was progressive steps.

Read the Twitter user’s lengthy story below,

I just got off a long heartfelt phone conversation with my cousin. The conversation got me deeply into my emotions. It made me shed a tear and at the same time brought joy to my heart.

My cousin’s dad paid him a surprise visit at his apartment yesterday with so many gifts.

Yesterday was not his birthday. His birthday is still far ahead. There wasn’t any cause for a celebration. It was just a regular Saturday.

It was as though his dad came for restitution.

My uncle which is his dad complained so much about my cousin not coming home to visit them (him & his wife), despite the fact that they stay in the same state. His dad expressively whined about my cousin’s habit of not calling to check up on them often.

He is the last child. His other siblings are very far apart from their parents and hardly keep in touch.

His dad is now old. He is now trying so hard to build a connection with his son. This is his last chance to truly know and genuinely connect with at least one of his kids.

My cousin said it was an extremely awkward situation for both of them because, in the whole 26 years of his existence, he has never been in a room filled with silence and emotion with his father.

They could barely even keep a good conversation between them for over an hour.

The amazing thing was, they spoke about everything, from the morning when his dad came till late in the evening when he left. They had a ton of difficult conversations like childhood memories to school to career goals to relationships and all sorts.

He said the most awkward moment was when his dad asked him if he has a girlfriend and would want to know about her. He was so speechless for some minutes because he had to think of a response.

And, his dad was like, “Nwoke, tell me the truth, is she an Igbo girl?”

The most emotional moment was when his dad cheerfully congratulated him on doing well as a man. After he replied “Thank you” then he said, “I love you, daddy” then he hugged him and began to cry like a little baby. His dad had to pat him on the back as he said, “I love you too.”

It was a priceless moment for him.

I remember when we were kids. I sometimes visited my uncle’s house. It was a very religiously strict and proper family.

His kids had little time to play, watch TV, or do any other thing that was deemed unprofitable.

His kids were prohibited from going out to have fun and also bringing friends home.

They lived with a military kind of policy.

My uncle had a demeanor that made everyone feared him and forcefully respected him.

He was so tough that even just the thought of his presence sent shivers down the spine of his children. Though, he provided thoroughly everything they needed to live a comfortable life.

But after graduation, none of his children came back to the house.

They all fled and got their own apartments. After my cousin did his NYSC and got a job. He desperately saved some money, not up to 6 months, he rented an apartment and began to live all by himself just because he couldn’t withstand the standards and pressure from home.

3 years ago since he left, he had only visited home twice and occasionally called his dad. He is more in good and talking terms with his mom but he is relatively like a stranger to his dad.

He is so overwhelmed by the fact that is father is finally trying to know him after all these years.

His dad now requested that they do a video call at least once a week and he’d make it a hobby to visit home more often.

He concurred with all his dad’s pleas.

They hugged again.

Hearing my cousin narrating everything on the phone for hours was so therapeutic.

I’m so happy for them. I pray this their newfound connection would bring forth more blessings and goodness their way.

End.

Police arrest suspected fraudsters who specialize in cloning sim cards of prominent deceased Nigerians and transferring their money

Police arrest suspected fraudsters

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a syndicate that specialises in the cloning of Subscriber Identification Module cards better known as SIM cards of prominent deceased persons and emptying their bank accounts in connivance with some criminal bank officials.

The syndicate were arrested after their leader, Osita Nwafor alias Ossy, was nabbed by men of the Rapid Response Squad. Other members of the gang include Nwogu Chike, Anthony Odama, Ikechukwu Nkem, James Okonkwo, Adedio Paulinus and Olufemi Ogundepo.

A statement by the RRS says the suspects connived with some bank workers in Nigeria and outside the country to loot the funds of deceased persons.

It was gathered that Chika was working on the transfer of $220,000 from a foreign bank, while Ogundepo was working on the transfer of N25m from an old generation bank in the country before they were arrested.

When interrogated, Nwafor stated that they look out for the obituary of wealthy Nigerians and then work with their bank insiders to determine their account balance and then clone their SIM cards for online transfer of their money.

“Although I brought the team together, each member of the group has his area of specialisation. We look for potential victims and each member has his role on each of the cases.

Once I have done my part of the deal by looking for SIMs and accounts numbers, I push them to whoever among the member has to play the next role and that is how we treat our cases and apart from this, each member of the gang also has his splinter group. Whenever they have personal jobs, they also handle on their own.

Chike looks for foreign and local accounts for money lodgements. I don’t know anything about how he does that, I simply hand over to Chike. He has his connections and they work on percentage and once they agree on the percentage when the money comes, everybody gets their cuts.

We find obituaries of well to do members of the public, use bank insiders to determine the deceased’s account balance and clone their SIM cards for online transfers.” he said

One of the group’s bank informants was arrested in Lagos while another one who is based in Benin city, Edo state, has gone into hiding after he got wind of the syndicates’ arrest.

The seven suspected fraudsters have been transferred to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad for further investigation and prosecution.

Nigerian Lady recounts how suspected Fulani herdsmen kidnapped her and killed her fiancee

A Nigerian lady, Oyetoso Modupeoluwa, has recounted how being kidnapped by suspected Fulani herdsmen affected her negatively and also led to the death of her fiance.

In a series of tweets she shared on her Twitter page, Modupeoluwa disclosed that she regained her freedom after her parents paid a ransom.

She alsp said that she has realized she may not get over the trauma but will have to move on from it.

Oyetoso noted that food security in the country is in danger as many farmers have abandoned their farms because of the actions of kidnappers.

Read her story below…

“I was kidnapped by Fulani men on my way from the farm and my fiancée who was driving the car was shot and killed. I regained my freedom after my parents paid the ransom.

After the incidence, I withdrew into a shell and just wanted to be left alone. I got tired of everyone asking to know how it happened. It was painful and traumatic having to relive the experience each time I talk about it. Few days after my release…

I heard two people had been abducted again — one from the same town and another from a neighbouring town. Interestingly, even I was expecting to hear about it on the news and learn what the government had done about it. Alas! There was only silence…Just as I have been silent.

No one is willing to talk about it, and we all suffer alone and in silence. Speaking out is a tough decision. I was exposed to rain and cold as I was held in the forest for 2 days. Ever since it happened, I’ve been bothered by a feeling of emptiness, I get easily startled.

I’m hyper-vigilant with a profound fear of being kidnapped again. Spotting people dressed similar to the kidnapers has been a trigger releasing flashbacks. That sense of safety was broken and the lack of control in captivity shattered my self-confidence.

Out of the blues, I re-live the shooting, death threats, despair, helplessness and some other ordeal the kidnapping forced upon me. My family and friends endured the longest 2 days of their lives — waiting, hoping, and praying for my safe return.

My mum was distraught and even though I didn’t see his tears, I know my dad was crying inside. It is one of the worst experiences a parent could face. ——— So you will understand why people are silent about it. The trauma is not something you want to remember, you wish it didn’t happen and you try to file it away somewhere deep in the recesses of your memory. But, I realised the silence is keeping us under their oppression! I asked myself, “is the Oyo State government aware?

Or worse still, is the silence allowing the government pretend that there is no problem or the problem is not as bad as it actually is? Because this is such a lonely experience, and one that many of us hide, we often go through it alone.

But all these work in favour of the kidnappers. Many farmers have abandoned their thriving farms and those who are still there are constantly living in fear, unable to trust people around them, wondering if they’ll be the next victim.

The Ibadan branch of the poultry association of Nigeria reported that more than 10 of their members have been victims within the past 5 months. Our story needs to come out, because there is so much that isn’t said about kidnapping.

So much that I didn’t know until after I lived it, and if speaking out will make the government take necessary actions to end this incessant kidnapping, if this will prevent one person from going through this harrowing experience, then, hopefully it was worth it.

A frightening amount of money is regularly changing hands. According to the anti-kidnapping unit of police headquarters Eleyele Ibadan, once arrested the kidnapers have enough money to get very good lawyers and are released back into the system.

Unless and until something is done, the enabling environment ensures kidnapping will only continue and get worse. Food security is already in danger, with people abandoning their farms and many who would have ventured into agribusinesses being scared away.

If making noise is the only way we can get their attention so they can beef up security in the state, then make noise I will. I keep reminding myself how lucky I am. Far too many abductions end in tragedy. Through God’s grace alone, l made it home safe and sound.

I’ve realised I may not get over the trauma, (or maybe I will – only time will tell), but I know I have to move on… with it.”

“Idk why this generation doesn’t like the process of growth. You’re still a student, not like you’re into some fire business or sth but you want to be moving like Otedola already. Nawa”

Quite a number of her followers and netizens have agreed with her… however, some of them opine that it doesn’t mean there are not other youths who put in the work and are wishing to be like Femi Otedola.

DJ Cuppy wails as Sevilla defeats Man Utd; says it’s karma

English football club, Manchester United last Sunday evening, received a painful defeat at the hands of Spanish club, Sevilla who came back strong after Bruno Fernandes’ early penalty.

Manchester United’s early goal came from their 22nd penalty of the season. Bruno Fernandes converted from the spot in their Europa League semi-final in Cologne to secure a lead. However, goals from Suso and De Jong gave the Spaniards the edge in the match.

The game ended 2-1 in favour of Sevilla, who are now through to the Europa League final as they’ll face either Inter Milan or Shakhtar Donetsk.

Nigerian songstress and Disc Jockey, DJ Cuppy who recently became a fan of the English team, expressed her regret as her side suffered defeat.

In a recent post on her social media page of her reacting to last night’s defeat, she simply described it as Karma while adding the MUFC hashtag.

Also, the DJ cum musician recently released a track called Karma, so it was an allusion to both her track and her team’s loss.

Schoolgirl who claimed 10-year-old boyfriend was responsible for her pregnancy, gives birth to baby girl

A schoolgirl who claimed that a ten-year-old little boy is the father of her unborn child has given birth to a baby girl.

Darya Sudnishnikova was 13 years old when she became famous in Russia after insisting that she was impregnated by her 10-year-old boyfriend, Ivan.

Darya even went on prime-time TV earlier this year claiming Ivan was the father and Ivan backed up her story.

Darya later said she had been raped in her hometown Zheleznogorsk by a boy aged 16. She claimed she said Ivan was the father because she was too embarrassed to admit to the rape.

Ivan, now 11, chose to stand by her and he remains her “boyfriend“. Darya announced recently on Instagram that she has welcomed a daughter after going through a “tough” delivery.

The girl had to travel to Krasnoyarsk in Siberia to find doctors who will accept her, she said last week.

She wrote on Instagram: “That’s it, I gave birth to a girl at 10 am. It was tough, I’ll tell you everything later, I’m having a rest now.”

Police are still investigating the alleged rape case and are expected to take a DNA sample from the newborn girl to find out if the 16-year-old boy is the father.

Meanwhile, Ivan wants to remain in the life of Darya and her child. Not long before giving birth, Darya revealed that Ivan stays over at her house sometimes and may take over fatherhood of her child when he’s 16.

She wrote: “He does not live with me, he stays overnight sometimes. At 16, he will take over the fatherhood, but it depends on how everything goes on between us.”
