The first day of Big Brother Naija Lockdown has already produced some scintillating drama – enough for fans to get their Twitter thumbs flicking away at their phones.

From Ozo and Erica to Lilo and Eric, the Ships look ready to sail pretty early. Although Lilo was quite vocal about calling Eric her best friend, their slightly affectionate position told another story. Probably in a bid to know his true intentions or just making conversation, Lilo asked Eric about his plans for the girls in the House. His answer might have not been satisfactory, but she found comfort lying in his arms and that was all that mattered there and then.
The Housemates gave it their all on the first night in the House and they seem really hyped to be in the House. We can’t wait to see how much more they get to reveal about themselves and what dramatic twist and turns we will get during their stay.
We got a glimpse into who might be the bosses and the followers of the Big Brother Naija Lockdown workouts. At first, Housemates sat on the sidelines, tentatively deciding what to do while watching Neo and Ka3na bust out their dance moves in front of the mirror. It’s safe to say, they can burn the floor.
But after the Housemates warmed up, Praise took over the group session, coaching the ladies and giving sage advice. His efforts didn’t escape the glares of the other men in the group.

Post-workout, Erica and Neo got to know each other a little better. Erica shared her aspirations as a Housemates saying she just wants to get to the end and get the money. Neo then revealed he’s a Cancerian, to which Erica replied: “Usually Cancerians are quiet and emotional. But you’re talkative.”

Police operatives from Satellite Town in Lagos have apprehended the notorious leader of a gang and he reportedly claimed he was the son of a Lagos monarch.
The man identified as Yusuf, AKA Prince, was arrested at Abule Oshun where he allegedly led his gang to a warehouse to rob and extort the owners.
Trouble reportedly started after members of the gang stormed a warehouse in Abule-Osun with the intention of extorting money from the owner but the attempt was resisted leading to a fierce crisis. The gang reportedly wounded scores of people and destroyed properties in the process.
Unconfirmed report claims that two persons were feared killed during the crisis that erupted Saturday morning, July 18, and their bodies were taken away to an unknown place.
Yusuf’s arrest comes after several months manhunt. He had reportedly been on the police’s wanted list for a series of crimes.
When he was arrested, he allegedly claimed to be the son of a man who claims to be the Oba of Oguntade village in Satellite Town.
His arrest triggered wild jubilation by residents who had been subjected to killings, extortion, harassment and intimidation for long by the gang.
Talking with LIB, Lagos State Police PRO, Bala Elkana said,
“I know we have a particular Yusuf in our custody, which has been on our wanted list for series of crimes in the past, around that axis. I don’t know whether he’s a son to any Oba somewhere.”
He added, “We have a Yusuf arrested who is involved in a series of crimes in the past that we’re investigating.”
A Nigerian doctor has taken to Twitter to narrate how he started showing symptoms for Covid-19, after he tested positive.
Dr Terry with the Twitter handle said that he went through the very hard symptoms like fever, throat pain, chest pain, vomiting, diarrhea, chickenpox, among others.
The medical officer said the time was really a difficult one for his family, friends, coworkers, and the hospital where he works.
Dr Terry said that he was free of Covid-19 symptoms for days before he tested negative for the virus. He, therefore, advised everyone out there to be very careful by adhering to all safety rules like wearing face masks, regularly washing hands, and staying away from public gatherings.
The Covid-19 survivor said that Covid-19 is very real, saying though he survived it, others might not.

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Ifu Ennada has stated that she has come to the conclusion that no man is faithful.
In a recent post on her Instagram stories, the beauty entrepreneur advises women to focus on themselves and live their lives.

Big Brother Naija 2020 housemate, Rebecca “Nengi” Hampson, referred to simply as “Nengi” has shared with other housemates on the show, a bit of her life story.
According to 22-year-old former MBGN finalist, she lost her dad at the tender age of 2 and her mother just two years ago, adding that life wasn’t quite easy for her as her mother had to play the role of both parents to take care of her and her sister.
Nengi revealed that although her mother wasn’t educated, she felt it important to give her children the best education by putting them in a good school.
She added that she moved to Bayelsa state, where her aunt’s house is after her mother died of kidney diseases. Life became unbearable as an orphan but with God, she pulled through by winning a pageantry contest and used the money to further her education.

The quite sudden demise of a Nigerian bride who passed away one day after her wedding to her beau in Delta state has thrown her husband and family members into mourning.
According to a journalist, Sapele Oghenek the lady whose name is yet to be identified as at the time of filing of this report, is said to have married on Saturday, but tragically lost her life on Sunday.
It was however gathered that on the day of her marriage, she had receive a mild treatment which had suggested that she might have been sick.

Five years ago, the couple revealed how they had suffered the painful loss of their first child 24 hours after her birth and 14 hours of labour.
The couple lost a full term pregnancy with Tito painfully writing about it on her blog in July of 2015. They welcomed their son Joshua in July of 2016 where she wrote at the time,
On Sept 7th 2015, I had a miscarriage. I was 10 weeks pregnant.
Ironically, this happened on the day I got baptised. It was during church service and I spent a significant amount of the service in the bathroom; Bleeding.
I still went ahead with my baptism because it became so clear to me that I needed that baptism. I needed the cleansing. I needed to be refreshed and to start anew and as I stepped in that pool of water, I felt God so strongly. I knew I was walking into a new beginning and everything prior was being washed away.
I still don’t know how that water did not turn red considering how heavily I had been bleeding a few minutes before but I had no doubt that something changed with that baptism.
This is probably not what you expected to read. After all, I am the same person who shared my testimony after the loss of my daughter.
I am sure like me, you expected the next part of my story to have been more straightforward. Especially now that you probably know I gave birth to my precious son in July 2016, a year after I shared my testimony.
However, please do not think God did not know what I was going to experience because he did and he prepared me to stand and I did. Praise and thanksgiving never ceased from my lips because I made a decision that no matter what happened in my life, I would praise God.
I didn’t have the answers and I was not going to spend energy, trying to figure it out but I knew God had the answers and so I left that burden to him and gave him his due as God. I was not going to try to do what only he can do. And he showed himself to truly be Yahweh because in October 2015, I got pregnant again and in July 2016, a year after I shared my first testimony, I shared another testimony because he blessed us with a beautiful son.
When I found out I was pregnant again, I was in awe at how quickly God showed up because I truly never expected it. I thought it’ll take some time and that was fine with me. I wasn’t in any particular rush to get pregnant again but God does things in ways I can’t even imagine and he decided it was time. Who am I to argue? I was so ecstatic.
I was at a point in my life where I was waking up at 3am every morning, spending time with God and growing in relationship with the Holy Spirit and everything about my pregnancy was spirit-led (it sounds like cliché christianese but it really is the truth).
I didn’t even have to do a pregnancy test to know I was pregnant. It was a dream I had that told me I was. In my dream, I was about to take a glass of alcohol and someone tapped me on my hand and said: “drop that glass, don’t you know you are pregnant?” and I just knew I was.
I told my husband and that was that. I didn’t even bother with a pregnancy test because my spirit was so connected with the spirit of God that I knew when he spoke.
This was in October and I eventually did a pregnancy test in December (just because I wanted the physical confirmation). I also didn’t want to do a test earlier because I just didn’t want to be too human about things.

The acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Prof Kemebradikumo Pondei, appeared to have passed out on Monday during an investigative hearing at the National Assembly.
Pondei collapsed where he was seated as members of the House Committee on NDDC grilled him.

An arrest warrant has been issued for a Louisiana woman who left her boyfriend in a critical condition after she allegedly shot him for refusing to argue with her.
Jenalisha Lawrence, 29, has been charged with attempted second-degree murder in the shooting that left her boyfriend in a critical situation.
Police say that the suspect was the man’s ‘estranged’ girlfriend.
The shooting occurred early Saturday morning July 18, in the Caddo Heights neighborhood of Shreveport at around 7.30am in the 1400 block of Grigsby Street.
Authorities at Shreveport Police Department said they were called to the home over report of a shooting and when they arrived they found a 34-year-old man on the sidewalk suffering a gunshot wound to the body.
He was taken to Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport with life-threatening injuries and he is still listed as in critical condition, according to KXAN.
Witnesses told investigators that Lawrence shot the victim following an interaction in which the man refused to argue with her.
She fled the scene in a green Honda Accord with a primer on the left passenger’s side front door.

A 23-year-old woman, Iyabo Julius, has been arrested by men of the Ondo state police command for allegedly conniving with her lover, Adedayo Sunday, to rob and kill her ex-lover, Suleiman Azeez, so they could get married quickly.
The state Commissioner of Police, Bolaji Salami, who disclosed this to newsmen, said the incident happened in the 12/12 area of Ore in the Odigbo Local Government Area of the state.
“One Suleiman Azeez, 25, a commercial motorcyclist, left home for his daily bread with his Bajaj motorcycle but did not return home. His body was later found in a pool of blood around the 12/12 area Odigbo via Ore.
The case was subsequently transferred to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Akure. Upon discreet investigation, detectives trailed the suspects, one Adedayo Sunday, 25, and Jeremiah Monday, 20, both of Odigbo via Ore, who were arrested where they had gone to sell the stolen motorcycle.
On interrogation they confessed to the crime and said the former girlfriend of the deceased, one Iyabo Julius, 23, who is now Adebayo’s lover, asked them to rob her former boyfriend of his motorcycle and equally kill him so that she and her new lover could get married.” Salami said
Items recovered from the suspects include a Toyota Corolla car, one TVS motorcycle, and the sum of N231,000.
The police boss said Iyabo has been arrested and all three of them will be charged to court as soon as investigation is completed.

A 32-year-old Nigerian man identified as Aboh Ogbeche, reportedly committed suicide in the presence of his mother in the Lawanson, Surulere area of Lagos State on Friday, July 17, Punch reports.
Mr. Ogbeche who did not leave any suicide note, had poured a harmful liquid into a cup and sat before his mum where he gulped the liquid and started convulsing afterward. His mother immediately raised an alarm and he was subsequently rushed to the hospital where he was certified dead.
Described as a quite jovial person, many people who knew Aboh have been left in shock as they had no inkling he was ever going to take his own life.
His friends have since taken to social media to mourn him. One of his friends, Gulf Limmer, who took to Facebook to mourn him, wrote “What happened to him? Why Aboh? We chatted three weeks ago. Why Ogbeche? Why did you take your life?”
The state police command spokesperson, Bala Elkana, however, said the command is yet to receive a report of the suicide incident.
Popular Warri-based rapper, Erigga, has shared a thoughtful message for his fans a with regards to how people can shape their future.
Taking to social media, the musician shared a story of two boys being raised by a drunken father and how it affected their lives.
He went further to pass on his message after the short story, reminding fans that their perspective of things shapes their future.
Sharing this on his Twitter page, Erigga wrote; “2 brothers were raised by an alcoholic father. One grew up to be an alcoholic and when asked what happened,he said “ I watched my father”. The other grew up and never drank once and when asked why, he said “ I watched my father”. It is your perspective that determines your future.”

The music artiste who hails from Lagos started his musical journey at an early age. He describes himself as being versatile and a sexual enthusiast who is able to coin words together to soothe scenarios and moods.
