Very early on Saturday morning saw a second fight between Kaisha and Lucy after they both had a verbal exchange.
The verbal battle may have metamorphosed into a spout of rage when Kaisha tagged lucy an ‘old cargo’, after she talked back at her.
The argument started when Kaisha complained that she was not comfortable sleeping in the dark.
Lucy, apparently preferred not to talk about it, but Kaisha who chose to ignore Lucy’s preference went on to throw sarcastic comments all over the room.
Trikytee quickly stepped into calm the situation, but Kaisha was in rage already after bouts of verbal exchange. Lucy did not give in either, as she was heard saying “Everybody together, them no reach”.
For taking giant strides in his service to the nation and commitment to uplifting the underprivileged, seemingly hopeless and vulnerable in the society, the 2018 graduate of Mass Communication from University of Benin (UNIBEN), Emmanuel Oluwasayomi Ahmadu, popularly known as Mr Voiceover, has been bestowed with numerous outstanding awards following his impacts during his service year in Kwara State and Nigeria at large.
Emmanuel was commended for his outstanding performance and sterling qualities as a member of the NYSC during the Batch B Stream II, 2019 passing out parade ceremony on Thursday, 16th July, 2020, at the National Youth Service Corps Secretariat Oke-Oyi in Ilorin East Local Government Area of Kwara State.
Imbued with passion to positively impact on society and provoke change, Emmanuel, who was deployed to Kwara State for the mandatory national service in 2019, executed several personal community development projects to address some critical social amenity needs of his host community and State.
The Kogi State-born Mass Communication graduate had during his time in Kwara State distributed preventive kits (face masks) to Five hundred (500) community households and teamed up with NYSC, Kwara State Government COVID-19 Team, NGOs, Traditional Rulers, Community Leaders and Volunteers on the sensitization of thousands of community dwellers on safety measures against Covid-19 in Oke-Oyi Community in Ilorin East Local Government Area, to prevent the spread of the virus among the vulnerables in the community.
On the health front, Emmanuel channeled his meagre resources towards tackling the increasing menace of depression, hopelessness, despair and suicide attempt which has become a serious societal challenge that have received little attention over the years.
Laden with this crucible yet driven by passion and love in his heart to restore hope to those going through mental insecurities heightened by social pressures, he volunteered his wealth of experience to spare head series of personal projects on “Mental Health Awareness And Sensitization Programmes” in Kwara, Edo and Kogi, focused on tackling the menace of depression and suicide in Nigeria, reaching over 200,000 young people and adults in schools, campuses, communities amongst other social institutions.
Emmanuel researched depression to be one of the major societal problems globally and thought it wise to tackle the menace which has emerged as a predominant challenge in Nigeria leading to young persons and adults taking their own lives and indulging in societal vices, due to inability to cope with societal pressures, thereby giving rise to hopelessness, cultism, exam malpractices, drug abuse, rape, robbery, trafficking, prostitutions, school dropouts, teenage pregnancy, internet frauds, suicide and other societal misconducts prevalent among adolescents and youths in the country.
The Kogi-born Corps member discovered that depression as a mental illness occurs in different stages which ranges from the mild stage to the moderate stage and to the severe stage. In the mild stage of depression, the individual experience some symptoms of which is the best time to seek help or professional counsel before it get worse. He said that most people don’t speak up to get help from the appropriate quarters or they do not know where to go when they face mental distress, they rather prefer to endure the pain and die in silence, unless they are able to find trust to share their pain with someone who won’t judge them or better still, someone who have gone through similar or worse experience and have come out strong.
So he planned to make it one of his personal community development projects under the NYSC scheme in Kwara State to host ‘Mental Health Awareness And Sensitization Programmes’ that could serve as platform to bring together survivors, relevant NGOs, agencies, mental health advocates and free professional mental health services to the people at their door steps in schools, campuses, communities, mosques, churches and other social institutions inorder to meet the psychological and mental needs of these people and giving them a reason to regain hope once more. His project successfully reached and restored hope to fifty (50) selected secondary schools across three (3) Local Government Areas and Community in Kwara in One Hundred and Fifty Four (154) days.
Speaking on the occasion of the award, Emmanuel said he believed that the true essence of life is embedded in service to humanity, and that is why he is going all out to ensure that mental insecurity does not become a plague in Nigeria and beyond.
He revealed that millions of people have been thrown into hopelessness, despair and depression in Nigeria affecting both the rich and the poor, due to the impact of the global pandemic (covid-19). It has been predicted by World Health Organisation (WHO, 2018) that depression will rise in 2020 to become the second most prevailing health problem in the history of the world, leading to increased suicide rates, societal misconducts and mental health issues.
Speaking on his aspirations, the international award winner, who is an anti-depression and suicide advocate aspires to be the hope in the mind of troubled adolescents and youths in Africa. According to him, he seeks financial support to complete the registration of his NGO with hope of joining forces with International and national agencies, brands, state governors, NGOs, stakeholders and individuals who mean well in tackling this leading cause of death in communities, high schools, campuses amongst other social institutions across Nigeria and Africa.
According to him, the impact of the global pandemic (Covid-19) is leading to increased suicide rates, societal misconducts and mental health issues amongst young people and adults.
“Being a survivor of depression whose success story has made headlines globally and have served as a source of hope to millions of people worldwide, thereby contributing towards tackling depression and suicide menace, I have written a precise proposal ready for submission to identifying my story as a symbol of hope with any telecommunication brand who sees mental security of Nigerians as a priority both during the covid-19 and post covid-19.
I wish to contribute my wealth of experience by partnering as a brand ambassador on corporate social responsibility with any telecommunication brand to serve as a platform where people who are going through emotional trauma, hopelessness, depression and suicidal thoughts can speak up to get help through professional support.
I await ready hands and burdened heart to join me in paddling the canoe that sails affected people off the shore of depression and suicide, it begins with you!” He said
A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has ordered anti-graft agency, EFCC to release all items seized from BDC operator, Ismaila Mustapha aka Mompha.
These items include five luxury wristwatches, an apple iPod, an iPhone 8 device and a pair of sunglasses, which were among other items found on him on his arrest last October 19, in Abuja.
Justice Liman made the order while ruling on a July 6 application filed by Mompha’s counsel, Mr Gboyega Oyewole (SAN).
EFCC counsel Mr Rotimi Oyedepo had told the judge that it had earlier released Mompha’s Air Pod and sunglasses when the application was filed. He said the other properties Mompha sought were still with the commission for investigative purposes.
Justice Mohammed Liman ruled that although the prosecution has the right to seize a property during an arrest, likewise a duty to approach the court for an interim order, due processes must be observed and failure to do this is considered illegal.
Liman said: “None of these items was listed as exhibit, none of the items was listed on the charge.
At this stage, there is nothing on record that the items seized is being investigated on. The retention of the property without compliance with due process violates the requirements of Section 29 of the Act.
Failure to release the property is illegal. As at today, no charge has been file regards the items. It is too long to withhold the applicant properties.” Justice Liman therefore ordered the release and return of the items to the defendant.
The defendant also applied for the release of his international passport, which was not opposed by the prosecution.

Niger Delta Youth Association, NDYA, yesterday, petitioned the Department of Security Services, DSS, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, the Presidency and others over the massive embezzlement of public funds in the Niger Delta Commission and utter neglect of the Niger Delta region.
It wondered why corrupt officials in the NDDC and political office holders were still roaming freely despite the corruption allegations leveled against them.
It made the statement in an open letter signed by the national President of NDYA, Comrade Victor James, to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Department of Security Services, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and other agencies.
The letter read in parts : “I write to you all with a deep sense of sadness following your lack of defence for fundamental rights and economic freedom and growth of Niger Delta region.
“Are you scared of arresting these Senators, House of Representatives members and past Governors who no longer have no immunity ? Or are your hands all dirty (as the law often implies that he that seek equity must come with clean hands)? Or is it an indirect strategy designed to keep Niger Delta people impoverished? What is it that we don’t know about? Why the drama amongst elected politicians and NDDC management? If it was an activist, we sure it would be recorded as threats to national security for seeking for justice from government.
“I put to you all in accordance to the principles of strategic leadership and development. The activities of senators, House of Representatives and Governors taking advantage of Niger Delta people, via false contracts with impunity is a breeding ground for terrorism: when politicians siphon public funds excessively, they use to the detriment of state security structures .
“They either use the money to buy properties outside Nigeria, or fund a terrorist group, through the grooming of jobless people who in return are used to carry as thugs to carry out electoral malpractices and violence, while of they fail to win, the thugs are turned to insurgents. The system is polluted from the top and I have looked into the Nigerian Constitution closely; you have the power to enforce checks and balances in the country.
“The appointment of corrupt individuals by the president without properly checking the criminal records of those he appoints to represent Niger Delta people is an insult to our intelligence. If appointment has to go by partisanship, you need to pick people that protect the interest and dignity of Niger Delta people. Don’t make it look as if there are no decent people in that region because it is clear to all, that your appointment has no criteria to suit the integrity of the establishment.
“From senators to House of Representatives and Governor and all the private contractors who failed to used the money they took from NDDC should be detained.
Section 6, of ICPC Act 2000, duty-bound the commission to investigate and prosecute fraudulent public bodies and overseeing public bodies and educating the public. Section 5 of EFCC Act 2004 permits EFCC for conducting investigations, enforcing laws, and carrying out awareness-raising campaigns against economic and financial crimes. And the CCB for fostering the Code of Conduct for public officials with receiving and examining asset declarations (CCBTA, section 3).
“Whilst NEITI Act 2007, section 3 is mandated to develop a framework for transparency and accountability for the extractive industry. TUGAR serves as a one-stop shop for data, information, policy and diagnostic reports from conducting studies and corruption risk assessments (by Presidential Fiat of 27 July 2006). The Nigerian anti-corruption system is convoluted with a large number of agents and institutions with a considerable risk of functional overlap.
“These commissions are not effective as they stand for, this only happens if the hands of the officers are soiled. I write to you because I am passionate about the importance of strengthening security in Nigeria but it isn’t attainable owing to the loophole in money laundering amongst politicians who steal from the very ministry design to develop and eliminate crime in Niger Delta. The ongoing financial extortion in public offices deserve death penalties because fear is what shapes our moral values, if not the embezzlement would only exacerbate the existing security squabble. Those who took contact from NDDC must, therefore, execute it or return the money or face death penalty. We must do away with the existing self entitlements attitude as it is killing accountability and public trust.
“This is to send a strong discipline subliminal messages to the current generation and future leaders to respect the law of the establishment. I am impressed with the on ongoing probe of public officials, that is the evidence of multiple party systems not because of Buhari’s emergence. Accountability and checks and balances is effective when different people from different political parties repel the ugly establishment. If the President cannot divide Nigeria for whatever vested interest reasons best known to him, at least, let him restructure it to decentralize powers. Police commission should be elected to purge political neutrality in police service. Their job is to protect the lives and property of Nigerians not to defend corrupt politicians who used police to attain electoral fraud and violence. I came from different generation and am an agent of social justice and reform. Electoral reform must prevail before 2023 to strengthen public trust. Has Ogoni environmental clean up project been abandoned?
“Finally, the investigation at the Presidential Amnesty Programme has been six months now and I call on A.A. Lawal to refrain from his delay decoy and the committee should step aside to give room for the appointment of new chairman of the Presidential Amnesty Programme to take effect immediately. If the leaders of ex-agitators has conflict of interest to occupy the chairmanship, it shouldn’t be to the detriment of the region nor the 30, 000 delegates. I don’t expect you to take advantage of my people because I can see what is going on. I believe that my message is completely understood. I don’t trust any government officials due to their lack of respect for human rights and rule of law.
So the current management of NDDC should be suspended and replaced with people who have respect for rule of law and are driven by developmental initiatives. Also, activities of the IMC should be objective in order to engender transparency.
“Agencies for investigation must be neutral and those with serious corruption allegations must be suspended till investigation is completed. You can’t be a serving minister or MD or director whilst investigation is on, two things will happen, you might impede the investigation or rule of law and due diligence may be breached. The youth in Niger Delta are angry and jobless, I put it to you all, is only a matter of time bomb. Act quick, please!”
He warned that failure to resolve this problem, will not only encourage angry citizens to opt out of Nigeria as secessionists of Biafra, Oduduwa or Niger Delta Republican, it would give regional champions opportunity to groom their followers, to denounce Nigeria.

A man has caused an uproar on micro-blogging site, twitter, after he shared his views on acquiring Generational wealth.
According to the man identified as Joel, Generational wealth should not exist because it causes an imbalance in the society.
His tweet reads;
Generational wealth should not exist! Society should put a cap on what can be passed down to one’s kids.
Money and assets should be returned to the government once a person dies! Helps build a more equal society and gives everyone an almost equal playing field!
Savings should not exist either. Once the day is over any money left in your account should be seized by the government. Tomorrow we all start the hustle afresh. Ensures a level playing field.

Nigerian Music Mogul, Don Jazzy has taken to social media to share his thoughts about the ongoing probe of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
In his post, the MAVINS BOSS stated that the great opportunity for the Niger Delta region to become a model for the entire nation was wasted by a few selfish people.
His post reads ;
THOUGHTS ON NDDC : I read through this to know the Senate’s resolution on the back of the #NDDCprobe in the National assembly and so many things come to mind. NDDC’s birth in 2000 during former president Obasanjo’s regime was supposed to right the wrongs made under OMPADEC in the 90s but here we are, still digging the hole we found ourselves after two decades.
Corruption has now become so endemic in our nation that we pilfer huge public funds with reckless abandon. We like to blame the elite and the govt for the sorry state of the country while so many of us are just waiting for our turns to be in public positions and become rogues. Let’s be clear here – 20 years of NDDC have had many key grassroots’ actors from the Niger Delta region who would supposedly understand the plight of the people. A very great opportunity for this region to be a model for the entire nation was wasted by a few selfish people whose intention was to convert Nigerians’ patrimony to their personal wealth. We keep talking about unimplemented and abandoned projects by unidentifed contractors that were not rightly procured.
Are our consciences so untouched that we continue treading this disastrous path even with the rising poverty level and the dearth of infrastructure across the country? How would future generations of Nigerians feel when they read this history of unabated rot? Ken Saro-Wiwa of blessed memory, lost his life for this region’s cause. If the dead could see after their demise, would he be proud of how things have turned out? NDDC, with this huge financial recklessness over the years, is just one of many government agencies. I can’t even imagine how surprised we would be if many other government agencies are perused this way? This isn’t just sad but also very unfortunate. My people, we have a very long way to go.
Blessing Ejika Ubi is a beautiful young lady, who would cause heads to turn, effortlessly; with an infectiously positive attitude, she is a delight to encounter.
One would find it hard to believe that, just a few months ago, Blessing was riddled with pungent sores and rotting skin, from head to toe, caused by an untraceable and untreatable skin disease.
Science had written it off as an undiagnosable condition; friends spread filthy rumors about her, claiming that she had gotten mixed up with diabolical men; her family had given up, as had she.
Her story caused tears to roll down my cheeks, this morning, because, as a medical practitioner, I see hundreds of written off cases like this and I know exactly what patients go through. It’s so pathetic, I can relate.
Unable to carry out normal daily tasks by herself or even have healthy relationships with people, Blessing experienced the most isolated moments of her life; the stigma of the repulsive odour and sores caused her to be treated like an outcast. It is safe to say that every door she knocked on, seeking healing, was shut in her face.
What can you do if your reality tells you that, as a young Nigerian woman, you must become accustomed to suffering pain, rejection, and isolation for the rest of your life?
What can one hold on to, when all hope is gone?
When pastors, scientists and every solution under the sun are powerless to help, some would beg for death to take them, but Sister Blessing begged God to preserves her life; just like Job in scriptures, she was helpless but not hopeless.
Blessing was at death’s door when she encountered the God of Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin, Senior Prophet of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry, during a healing service; and God opened a new door for her, one of supernatural healing!
Today, Blessing is completely healed, and cannot contain her joy. She is a new creature in Christ, indeed!
God bless Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin! A man God has used extraordinarily to restore hope to lives across the globe, his compassion for humanity is worth emulating, his philanthropism is phenomenal, his deep dimensions of dream interpretation is divine and ground breaking.
It will be forever in history that during the height of the Corona Virus pandemic lockdown, this same Man Of God dished out over a Billion Naira to help humanity…Again, we say, God Bless Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin.
A Zambian pastor in 2018 made a revelation in 2018, and it is currently trending on social media.
The pastor identified as Zipporah Mushala, stated that children who indulge in watching animated are bound for hell fire.
She spoke on how Television programmes negatively influence kids, with many of them ending up practicing or re-enacting what they watched whether the things are wrong or right.
Speaking further, the pastor claimed that secular TV also goes a long way in throwing people to hell as she claimed to have seen an 8-year-old girl in hell because she used makeup and fixed artificial hair.
In her words,
“I saw a boy who looked 10 who was there for insulting. He had learnt these insults from what he was watching on Television. I also noticed that he was wearing a shirt that had a demonic drawing of a Spiderman cartoon, but the Lord said this cartoon had been drawn in the image of a real demon in hell.
“The Lord had previously told Rachael and I that He doesn’t want His children wearing clothes with demonic drawings. There is a spirit in that drawing which controls their behavior when they wear that. The Lord had also told us that people should get rid of clothes with drawings such as skeletons and skulls and other demonic drawings because they have evil spirits.
“You can only pray for clothes WITHOUT demonic drawings and they get purified from any spells that were cast on them while making them. The Lord said that for clothes with demonic drawings, these must be burnt. “The Lord has several times warned that secular Tv is leading people to hell. Secular Tv is any non-Christian program for example, all worldly movies including family movies, soap operas, wrestling, worldly cartoons for example like those found on Disney jnr, jimjam, nickelodeon etc and talk shows that don’t glorify God for example the Tyra Banks show and other worldly things even those which are called Christian movies or any other entertainment which if Jesus came to your house, you wouldn’t watch in His presence.
“Secular music is also any non-Christian song and even songs that are called Christian by people and yet have worldly beats such as rhumba; reggae, rap etc are unholy to the Lord. 1 John 2:15-17, James 4:4. “I saw a young girl of about 8 who was in hell for using artificial hair and makeup! I also noticed that she was wearing a string top and the Lord said this is indecent. Dressing your female children in indecent clothes such as bare backs, trousers, string tops and other indecent clothes will land them in hell! The Lord said,
“This is what the parents are teaching their children. Even girls as young as this are putting on makeup. The young children also see this makeup from cartoons like Barbie and they want to dress like those cartoons. They want to dress in the short skirts and trousers they see on those cartoons. Tell their parents to teach them the way of the Lord and to dress decently because they are coming to this place! If a child knows right from wrong and does not do right they are coming to this place! Many times in cartoons, they portray as though dressing that way is being ladylike. But it’s all a trap.”
The Chicago lawyer representing alleged fraudster, Olalekan Ponle AKA Mr Woodberry, Michael Nash has revealed why the fraud case against his client was dismissed by a US court.
It was earlier reported that the United States government on Monday July 20th filed a motion through its attorney John R. Lausch, requesting that the case against Woodberry be dismissed without prejudice, even though he was indicted by a grand jury on an eight-count charge of wire fraud.
However, commenting on the development, Nash told Premium Times that the case was dismissed because the government charged his client with a slightly different crime.
He said,
“The government dismissed the case because it charged him with a slightly different crime. In the long run, no difference.”
Assistant U.S. Attorney, Joseph D. Fitzpatrick who spoke on behalf of the plaintiff also told the publication that although the complaint is dismissed, the grand jury’s indictment is still active.
Fitzpatrick said;
“We dismissed the complaint, but the indictment (charging 8 counts of wire fraud) is still active. We cannot comment on the dismissal of the complaint, but I wanted to make sure you knew the indictment is still active.
“Mr Ponle has now been charged by indictment, instead of being charged by the complaint by FBI”.
It was further learnt that the suspected Nigerian fraudster is still in the custody of the U.S. Marshal.
