Big Brother Naija 2017 star, Gifty Powers, has said that its okay to expose one’s body but that it’s not a do or die affair.

The Federal Government has declared Friday, June 12, a public holiday to mark 2020 Democracy Day Celebration.
Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola who made the announcement on behalf of the FG, implored Nigerians to continue to cherish the selfless efforts made to attain democracy.

Operatives of the Lagos state police command have arrested an unnamed police Sergeant for allegedly stabbing an Inspector, Francis Adekunle, to death while under the influence of alcohol over the weekend.
According to The Nation reports, the Sergeant went berserk after drinking alcohol at a nearby liquor store and returned to his compound in Oke-Odo. The Sergeant reportedly picked a quarrel with one of his neighbors, and was chasing the man about with a cutlass when the Inspector, said to be attached to the Special Protection Unit (SPU) 2 Ikeja, intervened. It was in the process the Sergeant pounced on the inspector with the machete, leaving several cuts on his legs and body.
The erring officer who is currently being detained at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) Yaba, lives in the same compound in Oke-Odo with his deceased colleague and other tenants. It was gathered that prior to the fatal incident, several complaints have been made about how he drinks to stupor and attacks people in the process.
The victim was rushed to the hospital where he died this morning Monday, June 8.
Confirming the incident, the Public relations officer of the Lagos state police command, Bala Elkana, said an investigation into the incident has commenced.

“This did not happen in the barracks. They both stay in town with other civilians. They were neither on duty nor anywhere near police facility when it happened. I have to correct that impression because a lot of people have been calling me to say it happened inside barrack.

A National Youth Service Corps member, Nyah Patrick has brought nothing but utmost joy after he donated a two bedroom bungalow to a widow, one Mrs Blessing Onyekwere at the Inyia Community Ibere, Ikwuano LGA of Abia State.
While speaking during the commissioning of the project, the donor, Nyah Patrick revealed that he decided to embark on the project when late last year, he met the widow and her children who were at the verge of being ejected from where they were living.
Nyah in his speech, shared that on arrival at his host community, his initial plan was to print about 2,000 copies of exercise books as donation to students of his PPA, Ibere Comprehensive Secondary School but later changed his plan after his encounter with the widow.
He revealed how he later went round the community to seek for sponsors towards executing the project.
In her response, the widow, Mrs Blessing Onyekwere, who almost broke down in tears thanked the Corps Member and prayed that God blesses him immensely for his kind gesture towards her and the children.
While commissioning the project, NYSC Abia State Coordinator, Lady Bona Fasakin commended the Corps Member for being a good ambassador of NYSC Scheme by providing succour for the needy in his host community.
Lady Bona further prayed to God to bless and meet him at the point of his need. In his remarks, the Transition Committee (TC) Chairman, Ikwuano LGA, Honourable Stanley Ejigbo, also lauded the Corps Member for his effort, stating that ‘whatever seed a man sows, he will surely reap’.
He however promised to make the building more conducive for habitation so as to ensure that Mrs Blessing Onyekwere moves in soonest. The commissioning was witnessed by members of the community representing different unions, family members of the donor Corps Member, the Principal of his School and NYSC officials led by the State Coordinator.
One Mr. Oyinkro Miebode was left with the total shock of his life accompanied with severe pains on June 3rd, 2020, after his wife, Maureen doused him with a pot of hot water while sleeping at their home along INEC Road, Kpansia, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
Reports surrounding the incident reveal that trouble started on the evening of the previous day, when he slapped her for raining insults on him because he came too early to meet her somewhere in town.
The couple had agreed to meet at 8pm, but because he closed early from work and got a lift from his boss, he got to their agreed meeting place by 7pm.
While hanging around the place of their meeting before the stipulated time, he spotted his spouse walking past him, so he ran to her to notify her of his presence, but instead, she got angry that he came earlier than they agreed.
According to him,
“In shock, I then asked why she was angry that I came early. That was when she started accusing me of monitoring her. She insulted me till we got home.
I thought that we could settle the matter at home but it was hell. So out of anger, I gave her two warning slaps and instructed her to go to the bedroom and sleep.
At that point, a friend called me to come to his place for a private birthday party, and unfortunately, I came back home at about 1 am. So I was sleeping on the sofa in my living room when suddenly she bathed me with hot water.”
The wife fled home immediately but has been calling and asking the family forgiveness, noting that it was the devil that pushed her.

A man identified as Patrick Onoja Igah, has been arrested for allegedly raping a 7-year-old girl inside the 7th wonder church premises in Owukpa area of Benue state over the weekend.
According to reports, 26-year-old Mr. Patrick, popularly known as Omolomo, was caught pants down while having carnal knowledge of the underage at the premises of the Church located in Akparoji, Benue State.

The spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Anene Sewuese Catherine, while speaking on the issue, said the suspect lured the victim who was out to buy something for her parents, into the church premises where he raped her.

Sharing the email to his Instagram page, a man named Dave shared how he had been placing an order with Amazon when he discovered Bezos’ statement of support for Black Lives Matter and immediately cancelled it.
The man also stated that he was ending his business relationship with Amazon.
In response to Dave, Jeff Bezos wrote,
‘There have been a number of sickening but not surprising responses in my inbox since my last post. This sort of hate shouldn’t be allowed to hide in the shadows. It’s important to make it visible. This is just one example of the problem.
And, Dave, you’re the kind of customer I’m happy to lose.’
This comes few days after Bezos shared an email exchange between himself and another angry customer on Instagram.
The customer said it was “disturbing” and “offensive” that Amazon posted a “Black Lives Matter” banner on its website. He also pointed out to him that “All Lives Matter.”
In his response to the customer, Bezos wrote,
“I have to disagree with you.”
″‘Black Lives Matter’ doesn’t mean other lives don’t matter. Black lives matter speaks to racism and the disproportionate risk that Black people face in our law enforcement and justice system.”
A Nigerian lady identified as Adaeze Gift has announced her decision to give out her old Bible to one of her Christian fans.
In a video which she shared on her page, she said she doesn’t believe in the lies contained in the Bible, so she’s willing to gift it to one of her fans.
She further disclosed that she is an antichrist, a water goddess, adding that she serves river, so anything contained in the Bible is totally against her belief.
She said she earlier planned to burn the Bible, but on a second thought, she considered the fact that most of her followers still believe in it, so she decided to give it away.
