Controversial investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has taken to her official social media page to pray for celebrity couple, Davido and Chioma.
Kemi Olunloyo prayed for the couple in a recent tweet she shared on her Twitter page earlier today, June 17. She asked God to bless the relationship of couple which seems to not be at its best moment currently.
While some followers applauded her for making peace with the couple cause she’s known to have called them out severally, some other users insist that her post was just a covert mockery of the celebrity couple.
She wrote on her page,
“God bless Davido and Chioma. May your relationship be SEALED with a wedding soon. May your marriage be blessed. So help you God! Chioma my lover will change to Chioma my wifey”
Popular Nollywood Actress and billionaire wife, Regina Daniels has complained bitterly over the likelihood that she won’t be able to give birth outside Nigeria due to the coronavirus induced flight restriction.
She expressed her displeasure via a pose she made on her instastory.

Two children have died after a storey-building collapsed in the Gafari Balogun area of Ogudu, Lagos State today June 17.
The Director-General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, who confirmed the sad incident, said the building collapsed due to mudslide resulting from a downpour.
His words ;
“The LASEMA Response Team received a distress call at 12.40 pm about the collapse of a one-storey building at the Gafari Balogun Street in Ogudu.
On arrival at the scene, the agency’s responders observed that the building collapsed as a result of a mudslide at the rear of the building which was caused by heavy rainfall.
The agents were informed that two children, one male, and one female were trapped and immediately commenced a search and rescue operation. Unfortunately, they were found dead and their remains had been transported to the mortuary.
Integrity testing will be carried out on the remainder of the building which has now been cordoned off.” he said
Nigerians are dragging popular singer, Dbanj on social media following the ‘legal steps’ he took as regards to the rape allegation that was peddled against him by a lady.
Recall the award-winning singer recently demanded, through his legal team, a 100M Compensation and an apology from the lady due to the ‘lies from the pit of hell’ which he claimed was the case with the rape accusation.

Three Federal Road Safety Corps officials have died after they were reportedly struck by lightning in Ogun State.
The quite tragic incident occurred early on Wednesday, June 17, in the ancient town of Ilese, near Ijebu -Ode, in Ijebu North-East local government area of Ogun State.
The lightning struck at about 10:00am while the officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) were preparing for the early morning parade within the vicinity of their office located at the old toll gate.
According to Vanguard, a senior member of the Corps disclosed that there were about twelve officials in the same office when the lightning struck 3 of them.
Men of the state’s special security outfit code-named “OP MESA” have taken over security of the entire area, chasing onlookers away and preventing journalists from taking pictures.
Also, traditionalists worshipers otherwise known as Sango adherents have joined other FRSC officials at the scene of the incident in Ilese Ijebu in a bid to perform some traditional rites on the corpses before they are released to government officials for burial, the publication adds.

A 300–level Mathematics Education female student of the Federal University of Oye Ekiti, Ekiti State, identified as one Faderera Oloyede has been discovered dead in an apartment belonging to her boyfriend, Ayo Maliki, in Osun State.
Faderera was found on Tuesday inside her boyfriend’s room at Koko, Iree, Osun State. She was said to have gone to her boyfriend’s place in company with her friend identified as one Kemisola Adewusi, a student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

According to reports surrounding her demise, her boyfriend had prepared rice for his visitors and while eating the food, the deceased suddenly developed stomach ache and started vomiting.
She, however, died shortly afterwards after efforts to save her life yielded no result. “They tried to save her life but she died after complaining of stomach ache,” one source said.
The Student Union Government President of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Kehinde Raji, who confirmed the incident, disclosed that Maliki went into hiding immediately the incident occured.
He, however, disclosed that the police were invited and took the corpse of Faderera away. Spokesperson for the Osun State Police Command, Yemisi Opalola, Kemisola had been detained.
Nollywood actor and director, Ramsey Nouah, has asked that all the Twitter accounts impersonating him be blocked.
The 49-year-old made the request on Twitter on Wednesday after a graphic identified as Louisa Jilo, tagged one of the fake accounts when she called out Ramsey Nouah and the producers of the 2019 film, Living in Bondage: Breaking Free, for using her work without compensation.

There was a little bit of commotion earlier this morning in the Ojota area of Lagos when a lady plunged down the pedestrian bridge in an apparent attempt to commit suicide.
According to reports, the initial attempts by a passersby to stop her from jumping proved abortive as she freed herself from the grip of a man who was holding her back before she took a leap.
It’s gathered that the Lagos Neighbourhood officers later helped her to a safe place to avoid been hit by oncoming vehicles. The DPO Alausa Police Station later came to the scene to take the lady away.

A Nigerian lady identified Louisa on Twitter earlier called popular Nollywood Actor and Director, Ramsey Nouah for using her designs in his movie without paying for it.
The lady who admitted there was no paperwork done when she was contacted for the job in 2018, claimed she only requested a down payment but was also not given because the media director for the movie told her then that the budget had not been approved.
I just accepted the job and started working straight away. The only thing I remember requesting was a down payment. But the then media director pleaded that the budget was yet to be approved but I shouldn't worry. As soon as it is. He will avail me some funds towards my charge.

Music executive, Jude Okoye has asked Police to release the young man who issued death threats to him over Cynthia Morgan’s career saga.
He revealed in a tweet this morning, June 17, that he asked the police to release the young man after he made statements, wrote an undertaking, and also apologized to him over the threatening messages he sent to him via DM on Instagram.

A Nigerian man, Tony Ejinduaka took to his Facebook page to mourn his friend, Obinna Anumba, who just died of COVID-19 in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.
According to Tony, he and late Obinna were classmates. He said until his death, Obinna was a banker in Port Harcourt.

A 32-year-old driver Mayowa Adeyemo has been remanded in Ilesha Correctional Centre, for reportedly torturing his 18-month-old son with burning cigarettes.
The suspect who was arraigned in court sitting in Osun State on Tuesday June 16 on two counts bothering on assault and exploitation, was accused of beating the child with a stick and burning him with a cigarette by the Police prosecutor Abiodun Fagboyinbo.
The suspect pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Adeyemo told the court ;
“I have five children from five different mothers. Several pastors I consulted told me that my mother was the one bewitching me. I am a taxi driver but things have not been fine for me. The son I assaulted with sticks is the son that my fourth wife bore for me.
“When his mother got pregnant, we got separated due to the insistence of her family that she should not marry me.”
Chief Magistrate Modupe Awodele adjourned the case to July 14, after remanding Adeyemo in Ilesha Correctional Centre.

The close friends who admitted to being former friends with Esther touched on Esther’s transfer of emotions from Nelson to Frodd despite knowing Diane had a thing for Nelson — a move they deemed as an act of betrayal.
Venita, talking on “Esther and Frodd’s” kiss said she felt the kiss was heaven sent but just before she continued, Esther cut in to set the record straight about the whole kiss drama.
She adamantly denied kissing Frodd and claim it was a group agreement — she says Frodd kissed her and it was not the other way round.

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Muhammad Bello on Tuesday June 16, announced that Nigerian rapper, Naira Marley will be prosecuted alongside those who featured and entertained fun-seekers at the Jabi Lake Mall in Abuja over the past weekend.
In a press statement released by the Minister’s Chief Press Secretary, Anthony Ogunleye, Bello said the FCT Administration views the actions of the organizers and attendees at the concert as reckless, wicked, insensitive and utter disrespect and disregard both for the law and the well being and welfare of fellow citizens.
He urged residents of the FCT to observe health guidelines outlined by authorities as he pointed out that several guidelines instituted by the FCT administration to curb the spread of Coronavirus, was violated at the drive-in concert.
Bello said,
“The FCT Administration which has a responsibility to protect the lives of the citizenry is determined to prosecute all those involved in orchestrating these infractions to the full extent of the law”.
This comes after Jabi Lake Mall was shut down by the FCT administration following a mobile court’s judgment.
Veteran Nollywood actor, Browny Igboegwu has after ten years of marriage welcomed his first child following consistent pressure from relations for him to get another woman to bare him a child.
According to the actor, in a post on his official Instagram page as he celebrate the birth of his first child, he revealed that over the years of waiting, he was under constant pressure from people to get another woman to bare him a child or he could adopt a child while he waited.
Now he’s welcomed a child with his wife, Becky and he’s grateful to God that despite all odds, they’ve finally had their breakthrough.

The reason for the breakup was never made public but some details about what really went wrong have now been uncovered.

he Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has said that the new COVID-19 drug, Dexamethasone is yet to be approved for use in treatment of patients with the viral disease in Nigeria.
The low-dose steroid treatment dexamethasone is a major breakthrough in the fight against the deadly virus, UK experts say. It considerably reduce the risk of patients dying from COVID-19.
In a series of tweet, the NCDC said it is aware of the drug, however the drug has not yet been approved for use in Nigeria.
“The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) is aware of recent outcomes from a UK-Government funded clinical trial for COVID-19. The results support the use of Dexamethasone as a possible treatment to reduce the risk of death among COVID-19 patients, who require oxygen or mechanical ventilation.
Please note that the Government of Nigeria has not validated or approved any treatment for COVID-19. In addition, the use of Dexamethasone for COVID-19 treatment has not been validated by WHO.
We are aware of ongoing clinical trials conducted by scientists in the UK and will work with our sister agencies to evaluate this emerging data on the use of Dexamethasone. We will inform the general public on outcomes following scientific review and validation.” the NCDC tweet reads.
Though his fans and followers are yet to see a new post from him on any of his social media platforms since he announced that he’ll be taking time off them to do some “cleansing”, the singer has however made an action on one of his official social media pages.
A quick check on singer, Davido‘s Instagram page shows that the singer has unfollowed everyone on his page even though he’s not active in making posts on the platform as of this moment.
Precisely two weeks ago, Davido took to his social media platforms to announce to his followers that he’ll be taking time off social media as he’ll be needing time to do some cleansing.
He however stated that he’ll be back when he releases “ABT” which according to previous posts on his page before he went off the social media radar, should be sometime in July.
