A Nigerian mixologist who witnessed moment corpses of Coronavirus patients were loaded into a van at the Infectious Disease Hospital in Yaba, has spoken up against relaxation of the lockdown in Lagos.

The man who took a sick friend to the hospital for treatment, said he has seen 7 people die in a space of 14 hours. @AmeenJimoh described relaxation of the lockdown as the worst idea anyone could conceive as the daily cases is now more than the capacity of the isolation centers in Lagos state.

He also recalled how a young man who only had his boxers on, died on the floor of the Lagos Island general hospital because “hospitals are stressed”.

He tweeted;

Stay at home or be extremely cautious.

I have seen 7 people die in a space of 14 hours. A man died in his car, another was brought in the afternoon, died at night. It’s no fuvking joke. Relaxing this lockdown is the worst idea anyone could conceive. The daily cases occurring is more than the capacity of the isolation centres in Lagos combined.

Secondly the daily cases aren’t daily per se ad the results don’t often come out immediately, there’s a lag. Health care officials are doing the most. The hospitals are stressed, this is the worst time to fall ill or catch a serious flu, you’d be turned away, and serve around till you probably die.

This was the case in Lagos Island general hospital. A young man died on the bare floor with just boxers on, the only treatment he was given was “FANTA”. The hospitals are stressed. We are on our own. Stay safe!

TECNO Foundation has donated essential medical supplies in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in support of the fight against the ravaging coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria.

The material donation which was handed over to the Lagos office of the NCDC on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2020 by officials of TECNO Foundation included 100,000 medical masks, 10,000 medical gloves, 1,000 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and 5,000 googles amongst others.

Speaking during the presentation, an official of TECNO Foundation, Mr Attai Oguche who handed over the medical materials to officials of the NCDC reiterated the importance of adequately equipping medical personnel who are at the forefront of the battle against the deadly virus.

While receiving the donation on behalf of the Director General of NCDC, Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu, Mrs. Olajumoke Babatunde, Head, Lagos NCDC expressed gratitude and acknowledges the kind gesture by TECNO Foundation in showing care for the health care workers who are at the fore front of the fight. “The PPEs donated here today will be used judiciously because NCDC is supporting 36+1 states. Some of these items will be taken to the other states of the federation to support the response activities” she said.

Also speaking at the donation, Dr. Everistus Aniaku, Director & Team Lead Emergency Operations Centre Establishment, NCDC, stated that “TECNO Foundation’s goodwill will go a long way in helping us to respond to COVID-19 pandemic in Lagos state and Nigeria because we are here to support Lagosians and protect the life of Nigerians. We sincerely appreciate”.

According to Mr Oguche, “health care workers are the most exposed to the virus because they deal directly with the cases. For Nigeria to win the fight against coronavirus, medical personnel should get all the support needed in terms of equipment and motivation.”

“There is a need for material intervention at this time as we collectively battle COVID-19. Obviously, health care workers need more protective equipment to fight the virus and care for the cases. That is why TECNO Foundation is donating today” he said.

Mr Oguche further thanked the government of Nigeria, the NCDC and all medical personnel involved in the fight against the pandemic for the progress recorded so far and promised the continuous support of TECNO Foundation.

TECNO Foundation is giving these medical materials with love and earnest prayers to support the medical personnel for their efficacy in this grim war. “We believe humanity shall prevail,” Oguche said.

A female National Youth Service Corps Member’s life has been tragically cut short after she slumped and died in Rivers State.

The entire 2019 Batch C,Stream 2,Corp members in Rivers State, have been thrown into deep mourning after one of their own, Atiye Florence Aduke, lost her life on Saturday May 30th, 2020.

According to reports, Miss Aduke slumped and hit her head against a wall in her house on Wednesday, 27th May, 2020. She was quickly rushed to the hospital but efforts to save her live proved abortive.

Sharing the painful news on Facebook, a relative, Atiye Olawale, wrote;

“Painfull exit, Atiye Florence Aduke u told me that I should come and visit you once u come back from Port Harcourt to Lagos of which i make move?, before getting there, u call? me on my way that “Bros Wale” don’t bother yourself ‘I will be fine’ but greet? our mother for me till I come back from my journey. Not knowing that u are saying your last word.???????????”

A married man identified simply as Lucky has been apprehended by residents in Abakpa, Enugu State after defiling a 13-year-old girl.

The minor identified as Godiya met Lucky after leaving her grandmother’s house who scolded her. The suspect who she asked for direction took her to a bush where he defiled her, gave her yoghurt and N2000 to ‘keep mute’.

According to a Facebook user, Leon Dag, the padophile also impregnated a 15-year-old girl who gave birth two weeks ago.

He wrote;

This married man by the name Lucky ,defiled a 13-year-old girl called Godiya, in a place called South Africa in Abakpa,Enugu State.

On Monday, June 1st,2020, she was scolded by her grandmother and she threatened to go back to her mother. On her way,she met lucky and asked him for directions and he took her to the back of a house where there was bush and defiled her . He gave her yoghurt and N2000 to keep mute .

After a while , her worried grandmother started a search for her and asked a couple of guys who had seen her grand daughter earlier and they took her to where they saw her . Godiya was interrogated when she got home and forced to confessed due to the beating she received from her grandmother . She revealed Lucky had threatened to kill her if she told anyone.

She started bleeding and passed out and was rushed to the hospital for treatment while Lucky was handed over to the police after thorough beating.We also found out that he impregnated a 15-year-old girl and she gave birth two weeks ago .

A notorious cultist, Adewale Adeoye a.k.a 16 was paraded on Tuesday June 2 by the Ogun state police command, alongside 30 others arrested for various crimes.

The suspects paraded at the command headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta were arrested over their alleged involvement in cultism, armed robbery, murder and illegal possession of firearms.

Adeoye said to be a member of the Eiye Confraternity, was arrested alongside five others at their hideout in Ijebu-Ode. The Commissioner of Police in the state, Kenneth Ebrimson said the suspect has been on their wanted list in connection with cult-related killings in Ijebu-Ode and its environs.

Two locally-made single-barrelled pistols, one double-barrelled pistol, 11 live cartridges, assorted charms and Indian hemp were recovered from them.

Speaking to newsmen, Adeoye said he had only killed 3 people and not 16 as speculated. The suspect who identified his victims as Vandan, Koledowo and Abas, said two of them are killers of the leader of the Eiye Confraternity in Ijebu-Ode.

The notorious cultist who said he is a professional printer and a drop-out from Michael Otedola College of Education, revealed that he was the fourth in command in the confraternity in 2017 and later became the second in command a year later.

Adeoye said;

“I have been arraigned twice. I was first arraigned in 2012 and regained my freedom in 2015 because the complainant did not show up in court and they could not find anything incriminating against me.

“A few days after, the police came for my arrest again and kept me in custody for another two years before I regained my freedom again in 2017.

“I have not renounced my membership. They didn’t give me the chance because they told me that they would kill me if I renounced my membership.

“I was made Chairman of a unit in the RTEAN in Ijebu Ode, but I can tell you that I have not killed 16 people, but only three.”

A Nigerian man has provoked members of the Facebook community after he revealed his intentions to rape his daughter in the future.

The man said this while reacting to a shocking post about a man who abused his own child.

While many frowned at the ungodly act, Facebook user, Ofe Noni, laughed about it and said he can’t wait to have his own daughter so he can have his way with her when her mother isn’t around.

In his words; “I can’t wait to give birth to a beautiful girl… So I can bang her when my wife is not around.”

The young man also added a ‘licking lips’ emoji that made his post even more creepy.

Meanwhile, his comment and photo is now being circulated on Facebook.

In the latest update of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country, 241 new cases have been reported as of Tuesday evening, June 2nd by the National Centre for Disease Control.

In a new update on their Twitter page, the NCDC reports that there’s new cases in Lagos, Oyo, FCT, Kano, Edo, Delta, Kaduna, Rivers, Borno, Jigawa, Gombe, Plateau, Osun and Bauchi.

A breakdown of cases by state;

A little boy has been found dead in the back of a car with his eyes plucked out days after he was reported missing in Suleja, Niger state.

The 9-year-old boy, identified simply as Emma, had been missing for two days, before his body was found in the parked car on Monday morning, June 1.

According to the information gathered, the boy’s mother sells roasted corn close to the scene where his body was found.

A twitter user, @ibrahim_navy, who shared the photos, wrote ;
