However, the Afropop star, who recently moved into his new Banana Island house in Ikoyi, Lagos State didn’t disclose what had happened to him.
His manager, Asa Asika, in a recent interview stated that Davido is doing fine and there isn’t any cause for alarm.
The manager stated that the singer only sprained his legs and would soon be back on his feet.
“Davido is recuperating well. He’s resting his legs and he’ll be good. Nothing is broken. He just tripped; that’s all,” he said in the interview.
Davido took to his social media page recently to write about doing a cleansing and how he has been putting people before him but now, how he is set to focus on his life.
The singer also revealed he’s changed his mobile number.
A septuagenarian landlady who resides at Abule Lemode, Ijoko, Ogun State has narrated an ordeal she faced with a truck driver, Wasiu Bankole, 25, who allegedly baregd into her apartment and raped her.
Wasiu, who reportedly resides in the area, was drunk when he barged into the old lady’s house around 11:00pm on Tuesday and overpowered the woman who was asleep and had his way with her.

The 70-year-old lady, while speaking with pressmen shared how Wasiu covered her mouth but she still mustered strength to clamour for help.
“The man (Bankole) came to my house at night. He forcefully entered my room and raped me. He covered my mouth so that I would not be able to seek help. I was the only one at home; my tenant was not around. I know him as a resident of our community.
“I was struggling to resist him but he overpowered me. I eventually managed to scream and people who heard my voice came to chase him away. I don’t know what would have happened to me without the intervention of my neighbours,” the woman recounted her ordeal to City Round in Yoruba.
One of the old woman’s neighbours, who came her rescue, Ayoola Oluwasegun, hit the suspect on the back with a stick to let go of the victim.
He was said to have reported the case at the Agbado Police Station and the Divisional Police Officer, SP Kuranga Yero, led a team that launched a manhunt for the suspect.
It was gathered that the team arrested Bankole the following day and recovered his clothes and a torch he abandoned at the woman’s apartment while he escaped.
Bankole in a chat with pressmen, admitted to being drunk but denied raping the woman. “I swear, I didn’t have sex with the woman,” he declared.
When he was asked how his belongings got into the woman’s apartment, he said he had no idea.
He stated,
“It was some vigilantes who beat me with sticks. I am a truck driver. The only thing that is not clear to me is how my clothes got into her room. It appears someone wanted to frame me up. I was drunk but I didn’t have sex with her. I knew the woman through my landlady. She normally visits my landlady.”

There was pandemonium around Aba, Abia State after a man who has been pretending to be mad, was nabbed with a dead
baby.
According to reports, that the man always dressed like a mad man to deceive people while carrying out suspected evil plans.
After he was caught by civilians, he was however lucky security operatives intervened and arrested him because there was an angry mob ready to beat him to death.

Men of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested Adeyeye Oluwatosin Babatunde, a Botany student of Lagos State University, who was seen in a viral video inappropriately kissing his three year old step sister (name withheld). The incident happened on June 2 in their home in Shagamu.
A statement from the state police command spokesperson, Bala Elkana, said the state Commissioner of Police Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu saw the video and instructed detectives from the Gender Unit to analyze the video and apprehend the suspect.
The team got Babatunde arrested today June 5 at about 11am. He has been handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba for prosecution in Court.
The state Commissioner of Police expressed his gratitude to Nigerians who helped in bringing the incident to the notice of the Police and urged everyone to continue to speak out against sexual and gender-based violence.

A teenage girl has been apprehended for faking her own kidnap alongside her boyfriend in Ogun State.
The 17-year-old identified as Seun Adekunle, was arrested alongside her 25-year-old boyfriend, Basit Olasunkanmi, after her other, Bukky Adekunle, alerted the police on the 4th of June 2020 that she sent her daughter to Lafenwa market since on the 1st of June 2020 and has not returned since then.
She stated further that she received a mysterious call two days later who claimed to have abducted the girl and demanding for the sum of N500,000 as ransom.
Mrs Adekunle said the caller warned her not to make the mistake of involving the police if she still needs her daughter alive.
However, a technical and intelligence based investigation led the police to the hideout where the girl and her boyfriend were hiding and pretending to be with kidnappers.
Glee Hotel has debunked the news of having popular singer, Dbanj’s alleged rape victim on their guest list on 2018.
Recall, D’banj is said to have raped a lady inside one of the rooms in the hotel where the girl lodged. He’s said to have been given a spare key to the girl’s room.

Nigerian cinematographer, Kemi Adetiba has slammed a Twitter user who claimed that Timi Dakolo’s wife, Busola used her rape case against Pastor Fatoyinbo to get an Instagram verification.

Tony Ojukwu, the Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission NHRC,has said that the young man who was seen in a viral video inappropriately kissing his baby sister, will be made to face the law.

The Yobe state police command have arrested a 66-year-old man, Baba Sahabi, for allegedly raping little girls in the Sabon Gari area in the state.
According to residents of the area, Sahabi who resides in the Daban Kare area of Sabon Gari was very friendly with children and used chocolates and sweets to lure little girls into his compound where he would allegedly rape them.
A resident of the area said who spoke after his arrest said
“He is always buying chocolates daily to use to lure the girls into his compound. The victims who live around his area were sexually abused several times by the randy man. He was said to have been very friendly with children and often offer them sweets. Parents of the victims said that they only discovered about the incident after the girls were showing signs of being in pain. A check on their bodies showed that the victims’ private parts were severely damaged as a result of repeated assault.” a resident told SaharaReporters

A sleeping thief has been handed over to the police in Tanzania after falling asleep during an operation at TV presenter, Farouk Karim’s house.
Confirming the incident in an interview with East Africa Radio, Farouk Karim said the thief entered his compound by scaling the fence.
However, he went into his car but later fell asleep. Farouk said he was shocked when he woke up to find the unknown man taking a nap in his car. He was subsequently handcuffed and handed over to the police.
Farouk said: “We found him deep asleep in the car with all he had stolen the previous night on his lap. I think as he tried removing the power window from the driver’s side that’s when he fell asleep”.

A man, identified simply as Mr. Edafe, has died after he was struck by lightning during a downpour in Benin City, Edo State.
The deceased was reportedly working at a building site around the Cattle Market in Asoro Hill, on Ekehuan Road, when the rain started. He took refuge in a nearby uncompleted building.
The thunderbolt was said to have displaced all who took shelter in the building, striking and leaving Edafe dead instantly.
A gunmen attack at the branch of a bank in Isanlu town in Yagba East local government area of Kogi State and a police station in the town on Thursday June 4, has left many feared dead.
Though details of the attack is still quite foggy as at the time of filing this report, it was however revealed that the robbers first stormed Isanlu Divisional Police Station where they killed those present.
They thereafter proceeded to the bank where they also killed more people. Kogi state’s police spokesperson told Daily Trust,
“Attacks on a bank and police formation was reported by civilians but I can’t give you details because the DPO on ground cannot be reached yet but the Deputy Commissioner of Police is on his way to assess the situation.”

Top notch Nigerian media personality, Tolulope Oniru-Demuren better known as Toolz has narrated the painful story of how she lost her first child.
The 38-year-old OAP revealed this in the latest episode of Life Lessons with Betty Irabor on Thursday, June 4.
Toolz, a proud mother of one, who was recently appointed Programs Director at Beat FM, shared her tragic experience about what it felt like losing a baby after 6 months pregnancy.
According to her, she was extremely excited and began looking forward to childbirth after she got pregnant few months after her wedding.
Unfortunately, as her pregnancy approached 6 months, she noticed she had never felt any movement in her womb and began seeking medical attention.
She eventually flew to the UK after Nigerian hospitals “missed a few things and didn’t pick up on the problem” early enough. Upon visiting a hospital in the UK, an ultra scan showed her baby was too small and may not survive.
“I never once thought that the health of my child would be an issue,” Toolz said.
Speaking further during during the program, she said her Doctor told her the baby was no longer alive and thus, would need to push the dead baby out.
“I heard a voice saying ‘this isn’t going to work out but you’re going to be OK”, Toolz said she went spiritual at that moment.
In her words,
“That was horrible, When we did the last scan, there was nothing, no movement.”
“Oh my gosh, it was horrible, it was absolutely horrible,” she added.
The OAP went on to state that the Doctor gave her some medications that were supposed to make her go into labour three days later.
After receiving the medications on Thursday, she was told to return on Sunday. However, she went into labour on Saturday, a day before the assumed day.
On that fateful day, she was preparing breakfast on that fateful Saturday when she felt sharp pains.
She recounted,
“I was in so much pain and that’s when I realized that gosh, I’m in labour. I was in labour for hours.
“It was very very traumatic. I try not to think about it too much.
“This was in the UK, they had to do like an autopsy, I had to arrange a funeral. It was horrible.
“That whole time, I was just like, ‘Yeah, God, I’m done’. I’m like ‘come and take me, I’m gone’.”
Toolz went on to reveal how she was later blessed with a handsome son after losing her first child.

The Police in Niger state have apprehended Ezekiel Yunana, 25, for raping an 85-year-old grandmother in Rafi local government area in the state.
The victim who reported the case at the Kagara police division, said she was inside her house sleeping when the suspect broke into her room through the window and then raped her. She explained that Ezekiel had threatened to kidnap her, asking her to pay a large sum of money, which she told him she didn’t have.
Upon interrogation, Ezekiel confessed to committing the crime. He said he decided to rape the old woman since she did not have any money to give him.
Spokesperson of the state police command, ASP Abiodun Wasiu, while confirming the said the suspect has confessed to committing the crime and that he will be arraigned in court soon.
Following the reports that a Babcock University student, identified as Godknows Adolphus Owhor otherwise known as Yangy, was called out for allegedly raping a whopping 24 ladies, he has now come out to react to the allegations.
Godknows’ alleged victims came forward with their stories after a Twitter user @caramelangiee shared screenshots of a DM she received from one of his victims.
The victim, who chose to stay anonymous narrated an encounter she had with Yangy… how he aggressively raped her when he invited her to his place in the guise that they’ll be going out together.
This followed with other victims, one who claimed he’s a pedophile, another claiming to be his cousin – the report spread like wildfire and it flew with the tale that the number of ladies he’d raped amounted to 24.
In a new video, Yangy, looking distraught and filled with emotions challenged any of the ladies who claimed he’d raped them to reveal themselves and own up to their allegations.
According to Yangy, the thought of suicide crossed his mind after he saw the claims that were doing harm to his name. He stated that it was the intervention of his relatives that curbed him from committing suicide.
He then threatens to sue whoever comes out with the claim that he raped her. Watch him speak below,
