Veteran Nollywood actor and producer, Prince Femi Oyewumi otherwise known as Laditi, is dead.
The actor died in the early hours of today at the age of 64
Laditi was said to have been suffering from a chronic back pain for some months now and he was rushed to an hospital when his condition worsen last night.
The late Fémi Oyèwùmí during his lifetime was a down to earth thespian, film director, inimitable composer and script writer. He appeared in epic movies like: Aye toto, Koto Orun, Ija eleye and many more.

Two people have been rescused from the wreckage of an Airbus A320 which crashed after an ‘engine failure’ in Pakistan on Friday May 22, with 98 people on board.
One of the survivor, Zafar Masood, a Bank executive said, “Thank you so much. God has been merciful, the other known survivor was named as Muhammad Zubair.
The PIA’s Airbus A320 carrying 98 passengers including eight crew, was attempting to land at the city’s Jinnah International Airport after flying from Lahore before it crashed into a residential area of Karachi at about 14:30 local time (09:30 GMT).
At least two people aboard survived, according to the country’s health department, revising an earlier statement that three were alive. But the other 95 passengers and crew are believed to have died.

A Nigerian lady identified as Adiaha Edidem has taken to her social media page to reveal the high demand of Nigerian men in ‘the abroad’.

The singer took to his social media pages to share an animated photo with his greatest counterpart, singer, Wizkid.
The photo which was photoshopped, shows him and Wizkid donned in traditional attires.
He tagged Wizkid in the photo as he called himself and the “Joro” crooner, the two greatest of all times.

An Family Court sitting in Akure, Ondo State has stopped a forced marriage between Alhaji Yusuf Lateef and a 16-year old Secondary school girl.
According to OSRC, the court presided over by Justice Aderemi Adegoroye, ordered the return of the teenager to her family for proper care and education and warned the Alfa to stay away from her.
Alhaji Lateef had approached one of his members, Mr and Mrs Olasunkanmi, in 2019, when their daughter was 15 years old, and sought her hand in marriage. Despite the girl’s protest, her parents forced her to accept the proposal and a day was fixed for the marriage.
However, the girl, in connivance with her elder brother, Quadri, fled their Ore home on her wedding day and went to the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, Akure, where she was sheltered and legal works began to stop the marriage.
The cleric and the girl’s parents were later arraigned at the Family Court for violated Part three of the 2007 Ondo State Child Rights Law. .

The court’s ruling was that the girl be returned to her parents and Alhaji Lateef be made to sign an undertaking to stay away from her as well as ensure no harm comes her way.
A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane crashed in Karachi on Friday, May 22nd — the flight was reportedly on its way from Lahore to Karachi.
The plane, reported to have conveyed more than 100 passengers crashed into a residential area near the southern Pakistani city of Karachi, the country’s civil aviation agency said on Friday.
“The plane crashed in Karachi. We are trying to confirm the number of passengers but initially it is 99 passengers and eight crew members,” said Abdul Sattar Khokhar, the spokesman for the aviation authority.
A spokesperson for the state-run Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), Abdul Sattar told the newspaper Dawn that the flight was carrying 90 passengers and 8 crew members and had been due to land in Karachi at 14:45 local time (09:45 GMT).
The newspaper said a rescue operation was underway and emergency workers had arrived at the scene. There were no immediate reports on the number of casualties.
Users on social media have since started posting images and videos of the residential area where the plane crashed. The videos show smoke billowing from the plane. Others have a close-up short of the area where the crash took place.
