A Nigerian guy on Twitter has recounted the experience he had after he confronted the lady he was dating who hails from Benin, Edo state.

An elderly woman was recently spotted dancing to controversial singer Naira Marley’s hit song, Tesumole.

Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde has said that 27 more staff of an organization in the Ibadan South West Local government area in the state have all tested positive for COVID-19 in the state.
63 members of staff of the organization had previously tested positive for the virus and are currently being isolated.
In an update shared on Friday morning, May 22, the governor said 27 more members of staff of the organization, iSON Xperiences, have now tested positive for the virus.
“The COVID-19 confirmation tests for twenty-eight suspected cases came back POSITIVE. Twenty-seven are from iSON Xperiences and the last case is from Akinyele Local Government Area. So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State is 190.
Let me reassure you, as Head of the Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force, that we are doing everything in our power to contain the spread of this disease, given the recent increase in numbers.” he tweeted
The state now has 190 confirmed cases of the viral disease.
A 7-year-old girl was murdered on Monday night, May 18, as she was fatally stabbed in bed by her mother’s friend hours after she drew a picture of him to cheer him up as he was going through a “personal crisis“.
Bella Rose Desrosiers died Monday night after being tucked into bed by her mother, Melissa. According to CBC, the bereaved mother says her daughter was then allegedly attacked by David Michael Moss, 34, who has been charged with 2nd-degree murder by police.
Melissa, a mother-of-two, said David was distraught so she convinced him to stay at her house while he sought help, according to the outlet. While at Melissa’s house, Bella Rose made him smile with a drawing of him.
Melissa said she was planning on taking David, a tattoo artist, to a hospital after she put her daughters to sleep.
However, later that night, while Melissa was saying goodnight to her daughters, Bella Rose, 7, and Lily, 4, Moss is said to have come into the room with scissors.
Melissa said Moss began attacking Bella Rose with the scissors as she watched in horror, as there was “nothing” she could do to “stop him.”
“It was reported that Moss stabbed the child in front of her mother. The mother tried to intervene and attempted CPR until paramedics arrived the scene,” police said in a statement on Wednesday, May 20.
Bella Rose was pronounced dead at the scene and Moss was taken into custody. This is the second time in one year that the family is experiencing tragedy.
Just last July, Melissa’s husband and Bella Rose’s father, Ben, had taken his own life. The couple had been married for nine years before the tragic incident.
In a statement after Bella Rose’s death, Melissa said,
“What I ask you to focus on, is the beautiful little girl my Bella Rose was and still is. Like her father, she had a huge kind heart that truly enjoyed life.”

Tanzanian comedian and Big Brother Africa 2014 edition winner, Idris Sultan has reportedly been arrested for making a mockery of the throwback photo of President of Tanzania, John Pombe Magufuli in a short video he shared online.
His lawyer Benedict Ishabakaki told BBC on Thursday May 21, that he was accused of contravening the Cybercrimes Act 2015 against cyberbullying.
The law states:
“A person shall not initiate or send any electronic communication using a computer system to another person with intent to coerce, intimidate, harass or cause emotional damage.”
Ishabakaki stated that they are now awaiting the arraignment of Idris who has been in police custody for two days and accused of using the internet to harass the President.
Ishabakaki said;
“They have not told him till now if he has broken any clause … but their questioning behavior is related to the video. We hope he can be released on bail today. In short, the police claim Idris used the internet to harass the president.”
The famous Tanzanian comedian Idris Sultan (@IdrisSultan) is jailed after posting a video in which he was laughing at a picture of the President of Tanzania.
Should he be convicted of the charges which have been leveled against him, Idris faces paying a fine of not less than Tsh5 million or imprisonment for a term of not less than three years or both.
Idris’ arrest has drawn furore on Twitter as users began demanding his release via the hashtag #FreeIdrisSultan.
This however, is not the first time he has been arrested. In October 2019, he was arrested for photo-shopping President John Pombe Magufuli. While summoning Idris, Dar es Salaam Regional Commander Paul Makonda claimed the comedian didn’t know the boundaries of his work.

A Filipino woman has been arrested for Filicide after she stabbed her three kids to death.
The 28-year-old mother from Basud in Camarines Norte, Philippines, stabbed her children, ages 5, 1 year/8 months old, and 4 months old, to death at their home. The mother also tried to commit suicide but survived it.
According to the Police, “the mother admitted to the crime thinking she was infected with the deadly Covid-19.”
Basud Police are suspecting the woman is suffering from Postpartum Depression.

Aggrieved youth on Thursday staged a protest in Abigi, Ogun State, following the death of a pregnant woman, Mrs Opeoluwa Waidat Adedeji, at a police checkpoint.
The protesters, who stormed the Abigi Divisional Police Headquarters, blamed policemen manning the checkpoint for her death.
The mother of six lost her life while on the way to hospital for delivery. The deceased was being rushed to the hospital on a motorcycle by two men, when they were accosted at the Sowore River checkpoint.
The police officers inquired why they were not wearing face masks and also not obeying the social distancing order of the state government.
The policemen allegedly delayed the trio on motorcycle, citing the ongoing restriction of movement over COVID-19, but later allowed them to go upon realizing the woman was bleeding profusely.
Adedeji, however, gave up the ghost before getting to the hospital, prompting the angry youth of the community to storm the police headquarters with the remains of the dead woman, insisting that policemen were responsible for her death.

Former Big Brother Nigeria housemate, Omashola has dropped a controversial comment on social media that is currently sparking reactions.
The reality TV star in his comment pointed out that nothing makes a woman more confused than being in a relationship with a broke guy who is extremely good in bed.
He made the comment via a tweet he sent out on his official Twitter handle on Thursday.
He wrote:

A 17-year-old wife accused of killing her husband as he tried to have sex with her in Bauchi has said she had no idea sex is a marital obligation, so she thought her husband was trying to defile her.
Salma Hassan, a resident of Itas-Gadau, was paraded at the Bauchi Police Command on Tuesday, May 19, for stabbing her husband to death 11 days after their wedding.
She told journalists that when her husband approached her for sex that night, she thought what he was doing was wrong, so she objected. However, her husband beat her and tried to force himself on her. She said she then picked a knife to scare him but mistakenly stabbed him with it.
She said: “We were married. We loved each other.
“I never knew that sex is a marital obligation. On that fateful night when he approached me for sex, I refused him because I have never been involved in it. I thought he wanted to defile me.
“He later got angry and was trying to force himself on me with slaps and beating, then I picked up a knife to scare him away but he kept coming. I didn’t know when I stabbed him with the knife in his chest.
“I have already given my statement. I’m in great suffering. I’m in great bitterness. I don’t know what will happen to me now. But I wouldn’t have done what I did if I knew better.”
According to a Police statement, a knife was recovered when they arrested Salma for culpable homicide at her home in Itas-Gadau.
“On the 24/04/2020 at about 0900hrs, one Haruna Musa ‘m’ of Itas-Gadau reported at Itas-Gadau Division, that one Salma Hassan ‘f’ 18yrs of the same address stabbed her husband, one Mohammed Mustapha on the chest. As a result, he sustained serious injury and was rushed to General hospital Itas–Gadau for treatment where he was certified dead. The suspect was arrested and has confessed to the crime. Exhibit recovered from the suspect was one knife,” the statement reads.
A Nigerian man who schooled in the United States is currently in a celebratory mood as he recently bagged a medical degree.

A 30-year-old Nollywood actor, Temitayo Ogunbusola, has been arrested after he allegedly stabbed his neighbour, Oladotun Osho, to death following a altercation over the payment of electricity bill.
Ogunbusola allegedly committed the offence around 7pm on May 17, at 4, Sebili Kazeem Street, Cele bus stop, Agodo Egbe, Ikotun.
Trouble was said to have started on Saturday when Ogunbusola was asked to pay his accumulated electricity bill by a man identified as Banjo. Temitayo, however, protested against the N22,000 passed to him as amount payable, which caused an argument between him and a few other tenants.
According to The Nation, Ogunbusola allegedly picked a stone and chased Banjo round the compound but was stopped by other tenants.
In retaliation Banjo then went out and brought about seven men dressed in military uniform, who physically assaulted Ogunbusola.
However, on returning to the house, Temitayo allegedly took a knife and chased some tenants, threatening to stab them.
He couldn’t find Banjo and he turned his aggression on Oladotun and allegedly stabbed him at the chest, preventing the occupants from taking the late Johnson to the hospital in time.
Oladotun did not survive the attack as he was pronounced dead-on-arrival when he was eventually rushed to the hospital.
lice spokesman Bala Elkana confirmed the incident, adding that the murder weapon was recovered by homicide detectives.
He said the body was moved to the General Hospital, Isolo and casefile transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) Yaba for further action.
Popular Nigerian Singer, Tekno has seemingly joined in the bashing of his female colleague, Seyi Shay after her scantily-clad photos were shared on her Instagram earlier today.
The photos went viral as soon as they were shared and it elicited criticism from Nigerians.
Seyi Shay made an attempt at damage control by revealing her account was hacked and she also warned her followers not to share any personal details with the IG account as they’ve been trying to get the account back.

A Nigerian lady has taken to Twitter to reveal how her friend said she can’t be her bridesmaid because her complexion is “too dark”.
According to the tweet she made, her so called friend said the bridesmaids would be adorning yellow dresses and as such she won’t be part of them.
The said identified with the username @Phatima_Kills said she lost her confidence as a result of what her friend told her.

Media personality, Shade Ladipo has lambasted Singer Seyi Shay as the former accused the latter of lying that her Instagram account was hacked earlier today.
YBL recalls that three pictures of Seyi Shay was shared on her IG page and it almost broke the internet but the singer’s management claimed her account has been hacked and she cannot tell who is behind this.
Seyi Shay says she believes it is a deliberate attack and her privacy is being violated. She added that the pictures are not from recent exchange.

A woman with extremely long fingernails has shared a video to show how she washes her hands.
The woman, whose fingernails are 16 inches long is seen in the video struggling to wash her hands properly. The nails kept getting in the way as she applied soap to her hands and rubbed her palms together.
She had to move to the side of the sink for her nails to be able to fully enter the sink without spilling water on the floor.

Danielle Jinadu lives with 3 chronic illness sickle cell anaemia, inflammatory bowel disease and athritis tendencies, and, as such, she was considered a high-risk COVID-19 patient.
Fortunately, she survived COVID-19. She took to Instagram to thank her body for always fighting, no matter what is thrown at it.
During the interview with BBC Africa, Danielle said what helped her stay positive and beat the deadly virus was the belief that’s she’s “intrinsically a survivor.”
