‘I felt bad for my husband when we were told we couldn’t have sex before marriage’ – Actress Stella Damasus

Nollywood actress Stella Damasus has taken on this topic in a recent discussion she had with a couple online and she spilled more about her marriage to film director, Daniel Ademinokan, while speaking on dating and sex.

According to her, courtship is a period when couples know each other as they get ready for forever in marriage.

The film star explained that the courtship period is when the foundation is properly built.

“Dating this person to a lot of people means sex and after immediately after that, marriage. they skip the actual dating and skip courtship. The courtship period is where that foundation should be built properly, where you are getting to know each other because you want to have a forever with that person,” she said.

According to her, the courtship period was very tough for her and her husband because they were instructed by their pastor that they must not be physically intimate.

“That period for us was very tough. I felt so sorry for this man because we were told specifically by our pastor at that time that under no circumstance must we have any physical interaction,” the mother of two revealed

“So, the man lamented and said how can I have a babe like this, and I can’t touch, I can’t look,” Stella said, noting that the period was a very hard one for her and her husband.

Apostle Suleman responds to Witches advocacy group who challenged him to heal a Covid-19 patient and get $1,000 reward

Nigerian clergyman, Apostle Johnson Suleman has replied Leo Igwe, director of Advocacy for Alleged Witches (AFAW) who challenged him to treat just one COVID-19 or HIV patient and get a reward of $1,000.

Igwe, a doctoral degree holder in religious studies from the University of Bayreuth, wrote in an open letter to Suleman recently,

“I am challenging the founder of Omega Ministries, Apostle Suleman, to demonstrate his so-called gift of healing under agreed medical and scientific conditions. I ask Suleman to heal a person with a confirmed case of COVID-19 and get a thousand US dollars. This challenge has become necessary because Apostle Suleman has in a recent video urged the government of Nigeria to allow him and other pastors with the gift of healing into the isolation centers so that they could pray and heal those who have been infected by the virus.”

Now, Apostle Suleman has taken to Twitter to respond to Leo Igwe’s challenge.

He wrote,

“A certain Leo igwe says I should heal covid19 and get a 1000 dollars..I will send you the details of those already healed.. so you can investigate.. I am not the healer, God is…to mention 1000 dollars, shows you are broke and poor..keep it..you need the money than me..

“Normally I wont reply critics..but the website he uses has been constantly writing against me for 3yrs non stop..all kinds of stories. also, I feel so ashamed to see some Christians joining the world to attack itself.. Not in my time..Jesus christ called herod a fox..(Luke 13.32.).

“A pastor speaks for the oppressed and gets arrested, you are silent. he feeds the hungry, you are silent..he employs hundreds of jobless folks you are silent yet you claim to be a Christian. he replies critics and you are quick to say he should behave like a man of God?.hypocrites.

“For those who say christ never replied critics, you dont know scriptures..matthew 12.24-27,Lk 13.31-32.. he replied when necessary..I am not of the stock of pastors, that keep quiet when you attack pastors,. you ‘ridicule’ and expect us to keep quiet..some silence means consent..”

“Proverbs 26.5 say ‘Answer a fool according to his folly. lest he be wise in his own conceit’…

“According to proverbs 26.5,we are not replying critics,we are correcting fools..”

Juventus star, Paulo Dybala ‘tests positive for Coronavirus for fourth time in six weeks’

Juventus star, Paulo Dybala has reportedly still got Coronavirus, more than five weeks after he first tested positive.

The Juventus forward who was among the first Serie A players to contract Coronavirus alongside team-mates Daniele Rugani and Blaise Matuidi, has had a total of four tests in six weeks as a result of his initial diagnosis, with his most recent coming back positive.

Dybala had confirmed on March 21 that he and his girlfriend, Oriana Sabatini had contracted COVID-19 after his first positive test for the disease.

Though Spanish programme El Chiringuito stated Dybala has had four tests in the last six weeks, it is unclear if Sabatini has also been tested or if either of them are still displaying symptoms.

The couple however seem to be in great spirit. Dybala’s Instagram story showed him working out in a home gym before doing a TikTok dance with his girlfriend, days after they welcomed dog Kaia to the family.

The Argentina international footballer had shared his experience with Coronavirus, which left him struggling to breathe. He said at that time;

“Luckily [we are] much better, these days we do not have any symptoms.

“I had stronger symptoms, I got tired very quickly, when I wanted to train, I was short of breath after five minutes. There we noticed that something was not right and through the tests the club did we were told that we were positive.

“From there we had more symptoms, such as cough, tired body and when we slept I felt very cold, but from the club they had told us that we were going to be fine so we had to be calm.”

Serie A teams, including Juventus, are scheduled to return to training on Monday, May 4. Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said;

“Players would be able to undertake training individually from 4 May, in groups from 18 May, and then we’ll evaluate if there are the conditions to allow the season to be completed.

“We need to complete all the discussions to ensure that if we do reach that stage, we’ll do so in the utmost safety and security.

“We are passionate about sport and don’t want our athletes to get sick.

“I’m passionate for football. Like many Italians, I initially found it strange that the championship could be interrupted or suspended but I think that even the most ardent fan understands that there wasn’t an alternative.”

Prank gone wrong! SA lady left devastated after pranking her boyfriend with fake pregnant test

A South African lady unknowingly put her relationship to a test when she decided to give her boyfriend a pregnancy scare and the result was far from what she’d expected.

@Spar_good on the social media platform, shared how she’d taken a positive pregnancy test image online and sent it to her boyfriend in a bid to prank him.

Upon hearing the news from his girlfriend, the man —as seen in the screenshots of their chat— was absolutely convinced that he wasn’t the father of his girlfriend’s unborn child and asked her to go to her baby daddy.

The guy quickly put on a defensive front by saying of the two times they had intercourse, he “never planted his seed in her” – things got escalated real quick when he began calling her names and telling her they’ll be breaking up.

Certainly not the conversation @Spar_good was aiming for, but it brought her to the realization that “her boyfriend never loved her”. She eventually put him out of his misery by telling him it was a prank but it was already too late as they’d both decided the fate of their relationship.

She however, in her post on social media says she’s not ready to be single but is confused on what to do… See the screenshots she shared below,

SAD : UK man stabbed to death days after his father died from Coronavirus

A 24-Year-old man has been stabbed to death, just days after his father died from Coronavirus.

David

Gomoh, worked with the NHS, was speaking to a friend on the phone when he was stabbed “multiple times in a ferocious assault” by a group of men in masks seconds after leaving his home at 10.25pm on Sunday.

Detective Inspector Tony Kirk, of the Mets Specialist Crime Command, said;

“David’s family are going through unimaginable torment

“Within days his mother has seen the death of her husband and son; his sister has lost her brother and father, both are now heartbroken.

“David was a young man who had worked hard to put himself through university and, like his mother, worked hard for the community in the NHS.

“At this time we believe the only thing David did to be murdered was walk down a street.

“He was apparently approached by a group of men wearing masks and stabbed multiple times in a ferocious assault.

“I have no doubt this was a planned attack that singled out David because he happened to be in that area.

“David and his mother, who have done so much to help the community, now need the public to come forward and tell us what they know.

“If you have any information, please think of this young man and the suffering of his family and call us.

“If you don’t want to give your name, call Crimestoppers, but do make that call. David’s family deserve both answers and justice.”

#Covid-19: Centers for Disease Control and Prevention adds six new virus symptoms

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, (CDC) has added six new symptoms to its existing list of symptoms for Coronavirus infectious disease 2019.

Before this recent development, the known symptoms of Coronavirus are fever, cough, and shortness of breath are indications that someone might have the disease caused by the novel Coronavirus.

But the CDC has now added six new conditions that may come with the disease, which are chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat and new loss of taste or smell.

According to CDC, the expanded symptoms list could prove important because with a limited number of test kits available, typically those seeking a test must first show symptoms.

NPR and other news outlets reported last month that loss of smell and taste were reported by some people with COVID-19. Patients with the disease caused by the coronavirus have also reported muscle pain, chills, and headache.

The symptoms usually appear within two to 14 days after exposure to the virus, the CDC says. It stresses the “emergency warning signs” for COVID-19 are trouble breathing, persistent pain or pressure in the chest, confusion, or inability to arouse. and bluish lips or face. People with any of these symptoms should seek medical attention immediately, the CDC says.

The coronavirus has proved highly contagious and potentially deadly, but the vast majority of people who become infected will show either no symptoms or only mild ones.

The U.S., which has the highest number of confirmed cases in the world, is poised to cross the 1 million mark in coming days, with the number of deaths from the disease surpassing the annual death toll for pneumonia and flu, according to the CDC.

Woman accuses hospital of stealing her baby in Lagos

A 31-year-old nurse, one Mrs. Faith Obinna, has accused doctors at the St. Raphael Divine Mercy Hospital in Ikorodu, Lagos State, of stealing her baby, moments after delivery.

In an interview with NewTelegraph, the new mum revealed that she used the Catholic hospital for her pre-natal care and that during her many doctor’s appointment, three scans were conducted and it was recorded that she had a set of twins.

She said it was shocking to her when she delivered on March 6 and only “one of her babies” was presented to her by the doctors.

She claims her baby was stolen in the labour room of the hospital before she could recover from anaesthesia.

“On the first day I registered at the hospital, one doctor Ade that attended to me, asked me to go for a scan. The scan showed twins. The pregnancy was then four months. The second scan was to determine the sex of the babies. One was a boy, but the technician couldn’t tell the sex of the other baby because its leg covered the organ part. I was later handed over to doctor Uzoma, who took care of me until delivery.

On the day of the delivery, they tried to send my husband away, but he refused to go home. He went out to wait. After the operation, they called my husband and told him that it was only one baby inside my womb. Even though I was feeling groggy, I only heard the cries of one baby. I asked my husband, where is the other baby, the staff asked me to calm down. Four days later, my husband and I decided to raise the alarm. The chief medical doctor of the hospital asked me to accept just one baby, I refused.” she said

Speaking further, she said,

“When I was about to be discharged, I asked for my scan results, they refused to give them to me. Rather, they hid my file. When we wanted to leave, they locked the gate against us.”

When the couple was eventually allowed to go, they narrated the incident to friends and family members who persuaded them to return to the hospital to demand the whereabouts of their baby.

Obinna said when she went back to the hospital, a reverend father and a reverend sister were invited to the meeting where the hospital staff claimed there was an error on the scan results.

“We asked for the scan result. They said that if they released the results, they wouldn’t like to see it on social media that it could affect the medical doctor and the hospital could be shut down. He said that what happened was scan error. I told them it was impossible. I know that scan error could occur in sex, but not where twins’ detention is concerned. I saw the babies with my two eyes. I know they are with one of my babies. The reverend asked us to have mercy. He promised to refund all money we had spent since I registered with the hospital. We refused.” Obinna said

When interviewed, the consultant gynaecologist in the hospitl, Dr Uzodinma, said he took delivery of Faith, along with six other doctors.

“First of all, it’s not my hospital, it’s a Catholic hospital. I’m a consultant gynaecologist with the hospital. Faith Obinna was my patient. I gave her my phone number; if I wanted to steal her baby, I wouldn’t have given her my number. The true situation of things is that in November 2019, I asked her to do a scan, which she did in the hospital, with one of our male staff. The scan showed two foetuses.” he said

“Coronavirus will vanish after 70 days with or without intervention” – Israeli Professor

An Israeli professor has claimed that he novel Coronavirus will disappear after 70 days with or without intervention.

The unproven claims were made by Professor Isaac Ben-Israel, who is the head of the security studies programme at Tel Aviv University.

He said that all efforts to stop the spread will lead to the same result because the virus is “self-limiting”, and peaks at 40 days before rapidly declining.

His calculations claim to show the pattern of daily new infections as a percentage of accumulated number of infections.

They start at around 30 per cent, but decrease to 10 per cent after six weeks, and ultimately reached a level of less than five per cent a week later.

In his own article he wrote:

“Our analysis shows that this is a constant pattern across countries.

Surprisingly, this pattern is common to countries that have taken a severe lockdown, including the paralysis of the economy, as well as to countries that implemented a far more lenient policy and have continued in ordinary life.

When The Times of Israel asked him how the virus would die without any intervention, he said,

I have no explanation.

There are all kinds of speculations. Maybe it’s related to climate, or the virus has a life-span of its own.

In a television debate on Monday, Professor Gabi Barbash, a hospital director and the former Health Ministry director general, said that death tolls would have been far higher if Israel and other countries had not taken the steps against the virus.

The Daily Telegraph‘s own analysis across 20 countries found the peak appeared to be closer to 60 days instead of 40.

In response to the claims, Professor Babak Javid, a consultant in infectious diseases at Cambridge University Hospitals told the publication,

To suggest that mitigation measures are irrelevant to the trajectory of the spread of the virus doesn’t take into account the fundamental concept of the dynamics of transmission of an infectious disease within infectious, susceptible and immune individuals in a population.”

He said if exponential growth is unchecked it will decline but that is only the case if a majority of the population are infected.

He added: “It is not true if mitigation efforts have reduced the base number of people infected.”
