The screenshots of the Instant Messaging conversation between a working class lady and her boyfriend has begun causing a frenzy on social media over how the whole thing went.
The beginning of the conversation which happened in the wee hours of 28th September 2019 starts with the lady asking her boyfriend if he’s awake.
When he replies in the affirmative, she begins to air her displeasure of him being a liar to her. Puzzled by what offence he may have committed, he asks her “What did I do?” and she began questioning him of what he did with the money she loaned him the previous week.
The conversation takes a new heated turn in the middle of the night after the guy admitted to not using the money for what it was for but “giving it to his family for upkeep”. The lady then dealt a card of she being in charge in the relationship and as such, he should play by her rules.
The gentleman then cowers by saying if the tables were turned, he wouldn’t treat his girlfriend the way she’s treating him. He eventually declared to end their relationship once he’s repaid his debt and amused by his decision, the lady generalized all men as cowards.

President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with the families of three University of Port Harcourt students reportedly murdered by their kidnappers and their bodies buried in a shallow grave in April.
The President also extended condolences to the university authorities and the Rivers State Government over the unfortunate incident.
Describing the tragic occurrence as “sad and heinous,” President Buhari regretted that the “evil perpetrators have cut short the prospectively bright journey of these youths.”
He prayed that God will comfort all those who mourn these young students, and grant their souls eternal rest.
President Buhari, while noting that the Nigerian Police Anti-Kidnapping Unit has apprehended one of the suspected perpetrators, further directs the Police Authorities to intensify search for the remaining suspects and bring them to justice.
According to the President, “This administration will continue to equip the law enforcement and security agencies to bring to an end the evil activities of kidnappers in the country.”
Following the detainment of popular music video director and producer, Clarence Peters by the Lagos State Police command over the death of professional dancer, Love Divine popularly known as Picture Kodak, his girlfriend of 14 years, Jennifer, has taken to social media to defend him.
It was gathered that the music video director is being detained and questioned at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), Yaba.
Jennifer took to her page to air her displeasure over the development as she says the Nigerian police force are “destroying people’s reputation”.

POPOOLA, after the on-scene investigation was done, the body visited at the morgue, came to a conclusion they had no case with CLARENCE PETERS(who was not on the scene of incident) SEGUN the business manager, the 4dancers and two other members of staff of CAPITAL DREAMS PICTURES, (all referred to as witnesses), that it was a NATURAL ACCIDENT. He wrote his report to that effect. Events took a different turn when The DCP- YETUNDE LONGE, came in and asked that the report be torn, he wrote a second one that she tore again. By the third report, then came in MR. OYE and his father Sir Shina Peters and she couldn’t continue with her foul play. She agreed they had NO CASE with him and the rest of the witnesses. “So why are u still holding him..” everyone asked, she said she was waiting for the autopsy result so she can attach it. When she saw she had been caught, she sent them to put out a press statement that he was charged for murder. So thinking Nigerians, can someone be “CHARGED” without an autopsy conducted?
Backtrack a bit, after LD passed on, it took more than 24hrs to seek the consent from her family to conduct that autopsy. By the time the consent was gotten, due to the COVID-19 caused NIGERIAN COURTS CLOSURE, the autopsy was to start on monday being tomorrow.
So again, how are we talking “he’s being charged for MURDER”??? Since they decided to throw the first blow of negativity, lets go ALL OUT with the information. You have all been waiting for a response from him and because he chose to be law abiding, someone who contributes positively to the nigerian economy, they want yo tarnish his name? And artistes, everyone is quiet? Nobody is asking questions other than “how can she be electrocuted”??? Is it right? Who is going to charge PHCN to court for the SURGE? Nine pastors were reportedly arrested for holding church services in Bayelsa state, flouting the lockdown order issued by state governor, Douye Diri.
The Pastors who were apprehended on Sunday May 3 by the Bayelsa State Task Force on COVID-19 include P. B. Barima of the Methodist Church, Obogoro, Timi Aaron of Believers Love World, Akenfa, Adaba Glory of Saint Paul Healing Church, and Chris Ezene of God’s Grace Salvation Ministry, Obogoro.
Others arrested are Plus B. James of Prophetic Grace Love Ministry, Opolo; Alfred Munemune of Halleluyah Deliverance Ministries International; Daniel Owi, Winners Chapel, Obogoro; Sardauna Oguta, All for Christ Zion Church, Akenfa 3; and Tony Justice Samugba, New Covenant Tabernacle Ministry also of Akenfa 3.
Permanent secretary in the Ministry of Information and member of the task force, Freston Akpor stated that the pastors are being detained at the police headquarters in the state and would be charged to court for alleged violation of the COVID-19 order.

In the latest update of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country, 170 new cases have been reported as of Sunday evening, May 4th by the National Centre for Disease Control.
In a new update on their Twitter page, the NCDC reports that there’s new cases in Lagos, Kano, Ogun, Bauchi, Kaduna, FCT, Sokoto, Katsina, Borno, Nasarawa, Adamawa and Oyo

Tanzanian president, John Magufuli on Sunday ordered the probe on the country’s Coronavirus testing kits after samples taken from a goat and pawpaw tested positive.
Speaking at an event in Chato in the northwest of Tanzania, the president said the COVID-19 testing kits which had been imported from abroad had “technical errors”.
Magufuli also said he had instructed Tanzanian security forces to check the quality of the kits, who then randomly obtained several non-human samples, including from a pawpaw, a goat, and a sheep, but had assigned them human names and ages.
According to him, these samples were then submitted to Tanzania’s laboratory to test for the Coronavirus, with the lab technicians left deliberately unaware of their origins.
President Magufuli later disclosed that samples from the pawpaw and the goat tested positive for Covid-19, adding it was likely that some people were being tested positive when in fact they were not infected by the Coronavirus. \
“We extracted a sample from a goat which turned positive. This tells you that something is not adding up,” he stated.
“Are we now supposed to quarantine goats and fruits?” President Magufuli questioned.

Bill and Melinda Gates who have through their foundation, committed over $100m in fighting Coronavirus, have been subject of conspiracy theories in the last few weeks for using their fame and wealth to push for science-based approaches to end the pandemic.
The former minister who had before now described the Gates family as disciples of Satan and Illuminati agents, stated sarcastically that “the GATES of hell shall not prevail”.

Ahead of the ease of the lockdown in Lagos, Abuja and Ogun states, three more Covid-19 related deaths have been recorded in the city of Lagos.
The state’s Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi, shared this via his Twitter handle earlier this afternoon.
Giving an update of the latest development of Covid-19 cases in the state, the Commissioner wrote in part,

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, (CDC) has added six new symptoms to its existing list of symptoms for Coronavirus infectious disease 2019.
Before this recent development, the known symptoms of Coronavirus are fever, cough, and shortness of breath are indications that someone might have the disease caused by the novel Coronavirus.
But the CDC has now added six new conditions that may come with the disease, which are chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat and new loss of taste or smell.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has directed commercial banks to halt any plans of sacking their staff due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The decision was made following a special meeting of the bankers’ committee held on Saturday May 2, to review the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic on the Nigerian banking industry.
A statement signed and released by CBN spokesman, Isaac Okorafor, on Sunday May 3, said that going forward, the CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele, will have to be consulted before any bank staff is dismissed during this pandemic.
The statement read
“A special meeting of the Bankers’ Committee was convened on May 2, 2020, to further review the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic on the Nigerian banking industry.
The Committee particularly deliberated on the issue of the operating costs of banks in view of the disruptions emanating from the global economic difficulties and decided as follows:
1. In order to help minimize and mitigate the negative impact of the COVID19 pandemic on families and livelihoods, no bank in Nigeria shall retrench or lay-off any staff of any cadre (including full-time and part-time).
2. To give effect to the above measure, the express approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria shall be required in the event that it becomes absolutely necessary to lay-off any such staff.
The Central Bank of Nigeria solicits the support of all in our collective effort to weather through the economic challenges occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic.” the statement read
The CBN however did not state whether or not bank staff that have already been sacked will be recalled.
Osun State Government has announced two new cases of coronavirus in the state, bringing its active cases to 10.
The state’s Commissioner for Health, Dr. Rafiu Isamotu, in a tweet on Sunday said the new cases are wife and son of a previously confirmed coronavirus patient.
Isamotu said, “#Covid19Osun Update as at 3rd May, 2020: Two new cases of #COVID-19 infection confirmed today (Sunday), wife and son of a previously confirmed case. Total confirmed cases in Osun now 36; active cases, 10; the number of deaths – 3.”
When contacted for further clarification, Isamotu told The PUNCH that the two new cases were from the samples sent for a test by the state.
The state, during the weekend, recorded its third fatality following the death of a patient in her late 60s at its isolation centre in Asubiaro, Osogbo.
A statement by Isamotu on Saturday said, “On a sad note, we lost a COVID-19 patient in her late 60s at our isolation centre in Osogbo. We pray God to grant her eternal rest and give her family the fortitude to bear the loss.”

Bala Elkana, spokesperson of the state police command in a chat with LIB, confirmed that the director has indeed being detained and is being questioned as the police is investigating for murder.
He said since the incident happened in Clarence’s apartment, himself and some others who were present at the time of the unfortunate incident, have been invited.
“Yes it is true, he is in our custody answering some questions.
We are investigating the circumstances that led to her death so definitely there are questions investigators will need to find out and he is one of those that need to answer some of those questions; that is why he has been invited and some few others who were there.” Bala said,
When asked if they will be detained beyond today, he responded
“They are detained. It is full fledged investigation. It is a murder charge. We are probably looking at murder. We are not concluding at this stage. If she died of electrocution according to reports, it is left for us to find out. Was she actually electrocuted? What went wrong? Autopsy will also show” he said

This is coming after it was reported that the dancer died in the music director’s house on Wednesday, while charging her mobile phone.
Multiple reports suggested that the dancer was barefooted and sat near the door of the residence while operating the plugged phone when the incident happened.
According to reports, she suffered chest burns when the phone fell on her body and died before they got to the hospital.

Leader of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Francis, has called for international scientific cooperation so that every country of the world will benefit from a Coronavirus vaccine when it is made.
The Pope who was speaking from the papal library at the Vatican while delivering his Sunday service address today, said any successful vaccine developed should be made available around the world to benefit all of humanity.
Pope Francis also thanked all those around the world, providing essential services.
“In fact, it is important to unite scientific capabilities, in a transparent and impartial way to find vaccines and treatments,” he said.
”It is also important to guarantee universal access to essential technologies that allow each infected person, in every part of the world, to receive the necessary medical treatment.”
Recall that World leaders pledged in April to accelerate work on tests, drugs and vaccines against the disease and share their findings, but the United States did not take part in the launch of the World Health Organization (WHO) initiative after Trump announced he was halting funds to the WHO over what his administration feels was the agency’s pandering to China.
