I therefore enjoin citizens to continue to listen and obey health advisories issued by our health experts as they coordinate resources to beat COVID-19.

Beautiful actress, Adunni Ade has reacted to the arraignment of Funke Akindele by stating that no one is above the law.
Adunni Ade shared a photo of herself with Funke Akindele with caption saying…
If you really do not understand the video she put up then you definitely need help comprehending. She is an extremely careful person and does all she can to to be a Law abiding citizen of this country.
She has the same set of people around her, living with her. Same people who have been around her before the lock down. she chose to celebrate her husband with her family who have been in the house with her all along. I wish I could say much but damn, this is totally unfair. I hope you are happy whoever you are, wherever you are with this.
No one is above the law but these folks have been with her for well over 2 weeks.
We read and watch videos all over social media of folks attending weddings, funeral, churches and the cops shutting it down, some form of harassment Or even preaching to them to stop church for now but never for once an arrest.
I just saw the disgusting video of her in court and folks all around her, did y’all forget social distancing? The same reason she’s been arrested. No mask ? No gloves, nothing and she’s been arrested???? This is some Bull!
Something ain’t adding up! I pray for you Sis! I pray for the twins ??

The identity of the army officer, who killed a young man, Joseph Pessu in Delta State while enforcing a stay-at-home order by the state government, has been revealed.
Joseph Pessu was shot dead by one Ilekura Samson Ajayi at around 10:30am on Thursday at Ada Val Arenyenka Street, Ugbuwangue, Warri, Delta State, while trying to withdraw money to purchase medicine for his pregnant wife.
His killing caused a stir and sparked a protest in the community with his enraged friends and kinsmen blocking major roads to express their anger.
A senior police officer in the state gave the name of the killer army personnel as Sergeant Ilekura Samson Ajayi of the Nigerian Army 4 Brigade Benin, Edo State, with force number 02NA/52/3134, Sahara Reporters can confirm.
According to him, police preliminary investigation showed that Ajayi is attached to Operation Delta Save, 3 Battalion, Nigerian Army, Effurun Barracks, Warri.
Operation Delta Save was launched by the Nigerian military to protect oil installations as well as prevent oil bunkering activities in the Niger Delta region.
“Ajayi was deployed to a company called ‘B Coy’ where they are providing security before the ugly incident occurred at the checkpoint where he and others were deployed to on that fateful day.
“I can conveniently tell you that Ajayi is no longer in our facility at the area command, Warri.
“He has since been released from detention and if in doubt challenge the police authority to show him to the press. He has been released to the unit of the Operation Delta Save which he is attached to.
“But his release from our detention to the unit of the Operation Delta Save does not make him a free man or left off the hook of the murder because he will be made to face a disciplinary action. He will be court martialled by the army authority,” the source said.
Investigation by SR however, revealed that Ajayi hails from Imeri in Ondo State.
When contacted to know if the suspect had actually been released from police detention in Warri, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, said she had no idea about that.
She said,
“Well, for now I don’t have any more information than his detention. I don’t know about his being released.”
An Archbishop of the Enugu Province and Bishop of Enugu Anglican Diocese, Most Rev. Emmanuel Chukwuma, yesterday, said the Province will not be shutting down any of its branches over Coronavirus pandemic.
Chukwuma who faulted the order of government for churches and places of worship not to open, said it was unfortunate and wrong to categorize church and worship centres with drinking palours, night clubs, markets and companies.
The cleric also said he would not shut the churches because he is not the owner, as the church belongs to Jesus Christ, adding that if people were stopped from “running to their God in worship in a time like now the whole world was confusion, where would they run to for safety, help and deliverance?”
He said shutting the church in a trying time like the one faced by the country would mean giving the devil opportunity to ravage the people and the country.
Warning that attacking the church will not bring solution but worsen what we were faced with already, Chukwuma advised that there was need for the country to continue to seek divine solution to the challenge of COVID-19.
The Archbishop, who was reacting to the disruption of worship of some Anglican churches in Enugu, warned security operatives to stop forcing members of the Anglican Church from worshipping in their church buildings, insisting that he had ensured that all hygienic protocols and social distancing practices were kept for the good of the people.
“I have told them (Police) not to try it again unless they want more trouble for themselves and their families. There is no way you can ask the church of God to stop when we need prayers to bring healing upon the land, especially when we are faced with a problem as serious as coronavirus that has defied every human solution.
“It is wrong on the government to send police after worshippers. I think if they are serious, what they should do is to ensure that the hygiene protocol is kept, that the social distancing order is also kept, while encouraging those at the altar to pray the country out (of the pandemic). What can man do under this circumstance without God? What can even the President or our scientists do in this trying time without God? It is wrong for people to think that we will not find answers to what has befallen us through prayers. So, I want to warn that whoever is behind the disruption should stop in his own interest.
“The last thing I will do at this time is to close the doors of my church building. In my Cathedral, we worshipped today and we will observe all the Palm Sunday and Easter activities. I will worship on Monaday, Thursday as well as the Easter Sunday. It will be sad on anybody who tried to stop us because. We’re doing what we are supposed to do.
In the fourth episode of her ‘Discovering Princess Shyngle’ vlog, Gambian actress, Princess Shyngle revealed that it was when she woke up and saw blood all over her bed that she realized she had lost her child.
In the video, shared on her YouTube page, she says,
“Everything happens for a reason and as much as the devil wants me to be angry with God right now, I won’t.”.
She went on to say, while in profuse tears,
“I lost my baby, she’s gone, The most painful thing on planet earth is to lose your child, whether the child is alive and you lose it, or the child is in your tummy when you lose it, it is the same pain.”
I know my baby is watching over me in heaven and that’s why she came for me to know her.
The actress went on to reveal that her man, Federic has been trying to call and reach her from jail, she said he’s been starving himself and trying to commit suicide.
“I messed up, but I still love him. When somebody is the love of your life, no matter how hard you try, you can’t just get over them just like that. I thought I could, but I can’t so I’m gonna unblock him and hear what he has to say”.
In course of her video, her husband, Federic calls Shyngle and apologizes for everything he has put her through. He asks for her forgiveness and says it’s his fault she’s had to deal with everything she’s going through. He thanks her for forgiving him, and promises to do her right.
The actress just went on to encourage anyone who’s going through something or going through ‘it’ to be strong. She says nothing is perfect, no perfect relationship, no perfect life, everybody is fighting a battle.
She also noted that she could have presented a perfect life of being in the States and engaged to her man, but she chose to share her story.

Funke Akindele
Recall the Lagos State Government, in its effort to contain the spread of coronavirus, banned any gathering of more than 20 persons. However, Funke Akindele, who was used by the aforementioned to sensitize her fans and Nigerians on good practices that can help curb the pandemic, seemed to have flouted the rules after she held a houseparty to celebrate her husband, JJC Skillz birthday.
She was picked up by men of the Lagos state police command this evening while her husband, singer Naira Marley have been asked to come forward for questioning.
Shortly after the news of her arrest broke, Dettol Nigeria on its Twiter page, said as a responsible organization, it does not condone any breach of the guidelines on Covid-19 and are concerned about the turn of events. NCDC on its part said it has not engaged brand ambassdors as part of its response to COVID-19.

The tweet read: “The NCDC partnered with Dettol on a public service message to educate our communities about preventive measures against COVID-19. Funke is not a brand ambassador of the NCDC.
“As a responsible organization and brand Dettol does not condone any breach of the guidelines on Covid-19. As an organization we are concerned at the turn of events.
“We will continue to support NCDC and the Nigerian govt to fight COVID-19.”
NCDC in a post on its Twitter page said the agency has not engaged any brand ambassador as part of its response to Covid-19.
The tweet read:
“As an agency of the Federal Government of Nigeria, NCDC has not engaged brand ambassadors as part of our response to Covid-19.
“We continue to emphasise that all Nigerians maintain social distancing to prevent the spread of #COVID19.Stay home and stay safe.”
Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele-Bello who was apprehended on Sunday, 5th of April by the Lagos state police command for disobeying the social distancing order given by the government, spent the night at the State Criminal Investigation Department SCID office in Panti, Lagos.

The police source, who spoke to LIB, revealed that added that they would be arraigned in court this morning.
Nigerian singer, Naira Marley and some other guests at the party who the police have asked to report at the SCID for questioning are still being awaited.

Popular Nigerian author, Chiamanda Adichie has taken to her IG page to pen her thoughts on the Coronavirus pandemic the entire world is currently battling to contain.
Reflecting on the Coronavirus pandemic, Adichie disclosed that she is now reminded everyday of how fragile and breakable humans are. She disclosed that she is uneasy each time her husband who is a doctor leaves for work and each time her daughter coughs.
Read her post below ;
Last week, my family suffered a devastating tragedy, the very sudden death of my closest aunt, from a brain aneurysm. One day she was well and happy and the next day she was gone. Our time is filled with pain whose cause still does not feel fully true. We cry and yet we feel as though she is not really gone.??
??
And it is more surreal to grieve a sudden death in these strange times when the world has shut down, places once full are empty, heavy with the ghosts of silent gatherings, and across the world people are dying alone. Coronavirus is a menace in the air, a menace inside our heads. Every day I am reminded of how fragile, how breakable we are.??
??
My husband is a doctor and each morning when he leaves for work, I worry. My daughter coughs and I worry. My throat itches and I worry. On Facetime I watch my elderly parents. I admonish them gently: Don’t let people come to the house. Don’t read the rubbish news on whatsapp.??
??
This is a time to cope in the best way we can. There are moments when our spirits will sag. Moments when we will feel tired after doing absolutely nothing. But how can we not? The world as it is today is foreign to us. It would be strange not to be shaken to our core.??
??
I cannot imagine thinking of over-achieving, or of accomplishing more than usual, when all around you the world as you know it has changed, perhaps never to return to what it used to be. And yet we must continue to go on day by day. We must choose to live. And to do so we can set small goals. Like drink more water, if you’ve spent the past ten years wanting to be more hydrated. Like learn something every day, no matter how small. Like call loved ones – not text them, call them. Like help someone – with a small cash transfer, an encouraging message, a shared laugh.??
??
I believe in allowing myself to feel what I feel. But endless negative feelings are enervating. And so to manage it I give myself time to feel what I am feeling – an hour, or two, or three, or four – and then when the time is up, I try to push my mind into a different territory. It doesn’t always work. But it’s worth trying for when it does work.?
In these pandemic-blighted times, living with a medical professional who so far has diagnosed two positive cases, in an American state being told to brace itself for an onslaught of more cases, my goal is to feel anxiety but not allow it fester into paranoia. And what helps me is knowledge. The news can be emotionally exhausting, and can inflame anxiety, but it is important for me to educate myself. I am always careful about my news sources, and I always keep in mind that there is much still unknown about this coronavirus. I will share links to articles in my stories. ??? ???
And I make an effort not to read only about the coronavirus. I have just started reading ‘Selected Poems’ by Kenneth Fearing and a wonderfully honest memoir, ‘Minor Feelings: An Asian American Reckoning’ by Cathy Park Hong. ??? ???
I am listening to the great Bill Withers, may he rest in peace.??? ??? ???
I wish you all strength and as many moments of tranquility as possible. ???

Ubi Franklin has seemingly sent a scathing verbal attack down the way of reality star, Tacha after she lambasted him earlier on Sunday for talking down on her on his IG Live Session.
Ubi had revealed that Tacha had once begged him to use his connections to help her get into the Big Brother Naija house buy after he said he didn’t have she started insulting him.
The Music executive also opened up to Mercy that Tacha was one of the persons he NEVER wanted in the house.

On the latest update of the back and forth between Ubi and Tacha, the former has sent a subtle shade at the latter, referencing the infamous ‘body odor’ that the reality star is alleged to have.
