I’ll never encourage girls to be side chicks to married men — Actress Aigbe defends herself after backlash

Actress, Mercy Aigbe in a new video, denied encouraging girls to be side chics to married men.

This is coming after the backlash that trailed her statement in a YouTube Video that went viral.

If you recall, the delectable actress and mother of two, in the video admonished single ladies who are dating married men to play smart, and cash out asap.

She was heard in the video saying;

“If you are a side chic to a married man, Girl, you are better be cashing out. Secure the bag, get that dough, get that money because that man isn’t yours. Sis, he isn’t yours. He belongs to another woman so please it had better be worth it. Don’t go and collect chocolate and flowers as gifts from a married man oh.

“If you do, your head needs to be examined. If you are dating a married man, chop his money, collect his money because that man is already married. So stupid girls will be dating a married man will be doing love…sis he is not yours. He belongs to another woman so use your brain”

Now, defending herself after the backlash she received, Mercy said she’d never encourage young girls to be side chicks to married or single men.

According to her, the video was meant to be a fun video for every one to laugh over.. Mercy claimed her words were taken out of context… and some parts of the video was cut off. She encouraged everyone to take a peek at the full video on her youtube channel.

The actress stated that she always tells girls they can get way more than what they get from married men when they work on their own because there is dignity in labor.

Mercy also averred that everything she owns is from her sweat and everything said about her when the first video went viral is not who she is.

‘Nothing is more heartbreaking’ – Barack Obama talks about Kobe Bryant’s death

Former President Barack Obama on Saturday offered an emotional tribute to NBA legend Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter who died in a helicopter crash last month, asserting that “nothing is more heartbreaking” as a parent himself.

Kobe and his daughter Gianna died in a helicopter crash on 26th January in Calabasas, California while he was taking his daughter to a basketball game, and Obama said he knew Kobe’s death was still fresh in the minds of the NBA circle.

Obama was speaking on Saturday to a room full of journalists at a brunch hosted by the NBA for All-Star weekend.

In a video posted on Instagram by CNN journalist Wolf Blitzer, Barack says … “That loss is something that I know many are still grappling with — particularly, Kobe because he was with his daughter and those families and those children. And those of us who have had the joy and privilege of being parents, and taking our kids to ball games, and rooting for our children, and then seeing our dreams and hopes passed on to them … nothing is more heartbreaking.”

Young girl who was spotted reading by ATM at night reveals what she wants to become

The young girl who was spotted reading at night using the light from an ATM has granted an interview with PETER DADA of Punch.

Identified as Dele Rasheed, a primary one pupil of The Hope Of Glor Academy, Ondo Town, Dele was recently pictured doing her homework by the light of an ATM Gallery of a Bank Branch at the Yaba area of Ondo, around 10 PM.

This was because there was no power at Little Dele’s house. The picture went viral and the bank is believed to have taken interest in her. She tells PETER DADA about herself

How old are you?

I am six years old. I am in primary one. I live with my grandmother.

You were recently photographed doing your homework by the light of an ATM gallery…

I went there to do my homework because there was no electricity in our house.

Did your parent not have a generator at home?

No, we don’t have.

Is that what you normally do when there is a blackout at home?

Yes, when there is no power supply.

Who asked you to be going there?

Nobody did.

Did you see anybody there the last time you went there?

Yes, I saw a man there.

What did man tell you?

He asked for my name and I told him.

Are you not afraid of going there in the night to read?

I am not afraid.

What do you want to become in the future?

I will like to become a nurse because of their white uniform. I like them because they take care of people that are sick.

So you like treating people…

Yes.

I trusted God to protect Dele by ATM gallery at night – Grandmother

Forty-seven-year-old Mrs Samuel Veronica is Dele’ s grandmother. She tells PETER DADA about her grandchild.

Grandmother.

What do you do for a living?

I am a housewife. Dele is my granddaughter.

Where is her mother?

She is in Lagos.

Why is she not staying with her mother?

When our aunt died sometime ago and she (her mother) came to Ondo with her (Dele). So when they wanted to leave for Lagos, Dele said she was not going with them again, that she would stay with me. Since then, she has been staying with me. I enrolled her in a private school and have been taking care of her. She has been staying with me for about four years.

Where is her father?

He is also in Lagos State with her mother.

How would describe Dele?

She is very committed to her studies; whenever she is given an assignment in school, she will not rest until she finishes it. Even when you ask her to come and eat, she will not eat until she finishes her homework. She would say her teacher would beat her if she does not do her homework and if anybody offers to assist her in doing the homework, she would refuse.

Did you tell her to be going to the ATM gallery to work?

No, I was not the one. Oftentimes I discourage her from going there but she insists on going there to do her homework, especially when there is a blackout. On the night she was seen there, I didn’t want her to go but she insisted on going.

How far is the bank’s ATM gallery to your house?

It is beside our house; it is the building beside our house.

Don’t you think it’s dangerous for a child of that age to be outside at that time?

Initially, I didn’t want her to be going there. The first time she went, there was a blackout and she told me she wanted to go there, and I said no. I told her to use the torchlight on my phone, but she refused. She said she would not see the homework clearly. And we don’t have a generator.

How long has she been going there to do her homework?

That was her third time. When there is a blackout, she would go and do her home work there.

Were you not afraid that she could be attacked?

Well, I handed her over to God and I believed nothing would happen to her.

There are reports that the bank promised to give her N1m and a scholarship; has the bank contacted you or any member of the family yet?

Yes, even the manager (at Ondo branch) asked me to come to the bank and I have gone there. They gave me a form to fill; they also asked for my BVN and I have given it to them.

What was in the form you filled?

I don’t know, I don’t understand it but I believe our lawyer will understand it. I also believe it is about the promises they made.

Aside from the bank, has any other organisation offered to assist her?

Yes, MTN officials also came and they promised to install solar panels here that will give us electricity. Also, a solar company presented her with a solar lamp in her school. They also gave some pupils in the school small solar lamps. Some other people have been promising to assist her.

What is your reaction to the offers?

I am very happy, I don’t know what to say other than to continue to say thank you to the bank and other benefactors.

How is her performance in school?

She is doing well.

Nigerian man shares lovely photo of his “God-sent wife, 5 awesome biological children, 3 amazing adopted kids and one fantastic house maid” as he celebrates 16th wedding anniversary

Udoh also used the opportunity to share insightful marriage advice. Read his post below.

Celebrating 16th marriage anniversary with:
One God-sent wife,
Five awesome biological children ,
Three amazing adopted kids and
One fantastic house maid.
It’s been God all the way.
Here’s what I wish we’d known back when we got married:
1. You’re going to fight. Every couple fights, but the amount of fighting, and what you’ll fight over will be shocking. When you’re young, and money is tight, and you’re learning things about each other, and still figuring out who you are, there will be heated misunderstandings. The key is learning how to communicate effectively and authentically.
2. You’ll probably struggle with jealousy.
When you’re young, you might not be so great at managing difficult emotions, like jealousy. Unfortunately, getting married only amplifies that. After all, you’ve made the ultimate commitment to each other, so you’re likely to feel jealousy if your partner even suggests anyone else exists. You want to be their one and only.
3. You’ll still be attracted to other people.
There are some beautiful people out there and you’ll look. And when you get married young, most of these people are single. Look once and let it go, that second look is what will hurt your marriage.
4. You will need some time apart.
During the honeymoon phase, everything is chocolate and champagne. But it doesn’t take long for the day-to-day of marriage to set in and you’ll soon realize you need time apart. Don’t worry when you do need a little space; time apart will help you miss and appreciate each other more.
5. Merging your lives can get messy.
When you get married, you’re combining two lives into one. Topics like money can get tricky. Maybe you’re still figuring out how to earn it or save it. Your vision for your lives may change as you get older; it may not be what it was when you dated. Getting married means that you’re still figuring out who you are, and you’re doing that while committed to another person. Get ready to really get to know each other as you go through this process.
6. You’ll lose some of your single friends.
Yes, some friends you have for life. But some single friends will fade away because your interests are different. They want to go out and meet people, while you just want to hang out. That’s OK. It happens.
7. There’s only so many times you can have sex.
When you first get married, you won’t be able to keep your hands off of each other. Everyday will be a challenge to find a new position and crazy place to have sex. After a while, you’ll need a break. (And some electrolytes.) You have to make your relationship about more than sex.
8. Your in-laws will get intimately involved in your life.
When you fight, one of you will likely want to talk to someone, usually a parent. The parent, of course, will have advice for both of you, and will get in your personal business. It’s going to be irritating at times, but it’s not a deal breaker.
9. You have to fall in love all over again … every day.
A wise counselor taught us that love isn’t a feeling. It’s a decision. There will be days when you think you’re falling out of love, there will be days when you think about calling it quits. Love is a decision to stop listening to your emotions, and choose to stay together through the tough times.
Love is waking up each day and recommitting to your partner. Love is deciding you’d rather die than violate your partner’s trust with someone else. Love is a daily decision that you might have to make multiple times a day.
If you wake up everyday and make the decision to love, the decision to put your partners needs first, you will beat the odds. If you’re honest and communicate, you’ll beat the odds.
Those first few years of marriage were rough, but they taught us how to love each other and to appreciate what we have. We made it and I know you can, too.
Feel free to Share.

US woman to go to jail over $1,500 fake marriage with a Nigeria man

A New Jersey woman has been found guilty to charges of conspiracy to defraud the United States after a fake marriage with a Nigerian man.

The 28-year-old woman, Ajia Strauss who was arraigned before a Pittsburgh federal court on Thursday February 13, 2020, pleaded guilty to entering a sham marriage with a Nigerian man, Mosuru Ogunbiyi, 36, who was living in Pittsburgh so he could become a permanent resident.

According to prosecutors, Ogunbiyi returned to western Pennsylvania where he was already living after the marriage was conducted in New Jersey on June 3, 2016. He was said to have paid Strauss $1,500 for the fake marriage.

They falsified documents, made untrue statements to Citizenship and Immigration Services, staged loved up photos, claimed they lived together and also opened a joint bank account.

After Ogunbiyi filed for permanent residency status in 2017, text messages revealing their discussion about Strauss’ address and learning more about each other before the fake marriage were obtained by authorities.

The duo were indicted in July 2019 and the Nigerian man who pleaded guilty to same offence in December 2019, has already served two and a half months in jail and is also likely to be deported.

Strauss could face up to five years in prison and $250,000 in fines, authorities said. She is scheduled to be sentenced in Pittsburgh on June 3.

How OVER 1.5 GOALS made N6.2million in 3 months from football trading with N200,000 capital

How is that even possible? TJ gave account of his latest discovery and how he did it. One would have thought it’s a big deal but it is simple and easy..

First step; He uncovered a reliable and trustworthy tipster from UK that concentrate solely on OVER 1.5 GOALS. He made use of the tips supplied from them daily. Average of 100% – 500% return on capital monthly was achieved using 3 rollover strategy. (That is explained in a video tutorial to those who will be fortunate to join in this)

The journey to uncovering the trusted tipsters took him 4years of falling into the hands of scammers. So many stories but I have to cut short to save us time.

Secondly step; Adetunji sees football betting from a different perspective unlike many others sees it. The reason he called his approach FOOTBALL TRADING and not football betting. He follows a laid down plan. Only 2% of people around the globe into football betting know about this secret approach.

N200,000 starting capital

It will wow you to know it was 200k he turned to 6.2million naira in 3 months. He funded his betting account with 200k and subscribed to start receiving games from his trusted tipster.

The strategy is to stake N20,000 only at the beginning of a rollover cycle (10% of capital at the beginning of a rollover) and this grows along.

Below is sample of what 3 rollover means. It’s the best for the over 1.5 goals package. It will be explained in details. Started the one below with 42k and made it 69k the 1st day. Used the 69k and turned it to 125k the 2nd day. And on the final day, the 3rd day, used the 125k to achieve 215k. That ends the rollover. A successful rollover. Achieving 6+ of such rollovers monthly is the target.

Click Here=> http://bit.ly/faizfah , to subscribe to Adetunji’s inner circle and you will see the breakdown of the process. He doesn’t gamble but follow a laid down rule. He uses 10% of his capital to begin the rollover cycle of the over 1.5 goals. He trusted his UK’s tipster for this and strictly use his games.

He confessed that on rare occasion, the tipster might have a bad month in terms of performance. He recalled a certain bad month but having come a long way to trust them, he always keeps calm, think of long-term benefits and hope for the best. And overall, it’s been fantastic.

The month was February with -120% but, that the only negative month so far in 2019. Here are the PROFIT/LOSS for 2019 using the system.

January +299% , February -120%, March +379%, April +348%, May +375%, June +133%, July +648%, August +531%, September +656% and October 139%

This whole thing might look complex especially to those who are not used to football betting already. But it isn’t. Even someone who hasn’t done anything related to football betting before can implement this. Even if you don’t know who C. Ronaldo or Mourinho is.

I have told ADETUNJI to give more detailed explanation of the steps and processes involved, including sharing the games of his trusted Tipster and his strategy of using it daily. If you want that, Great! It means you can replicate his success.

Below is this Guy in the little world of his own. He vowed to me that his target for the next 6months from football trading is 20 Million.

I have convinced him to show this secret to just 97 people on how he did it. Click on this link => http://bit.ly/faizfah to subscribe to him today

Why Nollywood won’t stop making money ritual movies – Yul Edochie replies Fashola

Yul Edochie

Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has reacted to the statement made by the Minister of Works and Housing and former governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola, that Nollywood movies, could be fueling kidnapping and ritual killings given the number of persons the police have arrested with human skull and other body parts, with the motive of money ritual.

According to the Anambra State born actor, he is not in support of filmmakers banning such movies because he believes it is all about entertainment and it ends there.

“Sadly at the moment Nigeria is stuck with a crop of leaders who can’t move this country forward, rather they look for who to blame for their inefficiency. America has been producing action movies with plenty of gun violence since I was born till date, have you ever seen any American leader blaming entertainers for crime in their country? That’s because it’s all entertainment. It ends there. Our government should focus on providing jobs for the youths, spread wealth, improve the economy and security and crime rate will reduce. It’s very simple. They should stop looking for who to blame and do the jobs they were voted in to do or resign for others to try. Next thing you’ll see them thinking of how to ban Nollywood and render more people jobless,” he told Sunnews.

Manchester City slammed with £25m fine, also banned from Champions League for two years by UEFA

Manchester City slammed

English club, Manchester City has been banned by European football governing body, UEFA, for two years and hit with a £25m fine.

ManCity, coached by Pep Guardiola and owned by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the Abu Dhabi ruling family, were found guilty by Uefa’s Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) of falsely inflating their sponsorship revenues to make it look like the club was making more money than it was spending on player purchase, when submitting financial accounts as part of the Financial Fair Play (FFP) compliance process.

FFP was formed by UEFA to prevent European clubs from spending more money than they make as income.

With FFP, European clubs stopped overspending on player wages, restricting the amount owners are able to use of their own cash to cover losses.

With this new ban, Man City will now be suspended from any UEFA European competition for the next two seasons.

Man City have announced that they will appeal the case with the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).

The verdict passed by FIFA follows an investigation that after German magazine Der Spiegel “leaked” emails and documents in November 2018 alleging Man City owner Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan was mostly funding the £67.5m-a-year sponsorship of the club’s shirts, stadium and academy via Etihad airline.

A statement from the club on Friday said: “Manchester City is disappointed but not surprised by today’s announcement by the UEFA Adjudicatory Chamber. The Club has always anticipated the ultimate need to seek out an independent body and process to impartially consider the comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence in support of its position.

“In December 2018, the UEFA Chief Investigator publicly previewed the outcome and sanction he intended to be delivered to Manchester City, before any investigation had even begun. The subsequent flawed and consistently leaked UEFA process he oversaw has meant that there was little doubt in the result that he would deliver. The Club has formally complained to the UEFA Disciplinary body, a complaint which was validated by a CAS ruling.

“Simply put, this is a case initiated by UEFA, prosecuted by UEFA and judged by UEFA. With this prejudicial process now over, the Club will pursue an impartial judgment as quickly as possible and will therefore, in the first instance, commence proceedings with the Court of Arbitration for Sport at the earliest opportunity.”

Oluwo of Iwo reacts after he was accused of beating up a fellow king.

Earlier today, the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, was accused of beating up the Agbowu of Ogbagbaa, Oba Dhirulahi Akinropo, during a peace meeting to resolve a land tussle among monarchs within Iwo axis.

Oba Akanbi was accused of attacking Oba Akinropo in the office of the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Zone 11 Bashir Makama, who convened the peace meeting which other monarchs, top police and government officers attended.

In a statement released on his IG page, the accused monarch said he was only acting on self defence as the Agbowu of Ogbagaa was the one who initially attacked him at the meeting. Read his post below

“I Defended Attempt by Agbowu to Stick my Eyes After He Called Me Mad Man- Oluwo
Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba (Dr.) Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has make a clean breast of the allegation that he beat Agbowu of Ogbaagbaa, Oba Sikiru .

Oluwo stated he was truly invited by the authority of the police to make peace on his stance curtailing excess land selling by monarchs under his domain, a pronouncement that was not go down well with those affected as they regroup to act against the authority of Oluwo who gave them the crown.

At the peace meeting held at AIG office, Agbowu of Ogbaagbaa interrupted Oluwo while making his speech and called Oba Akanbi unprintable names, pointing his staff of office at Oluwo while attempt to stick the staff in his eyes was heavily rejected with force which Agbowu could not withstand.

How could a constable openly insult commissioner of police and make attempt to beat the CP? Can any monarch try such with Ooni, Alaafin?”

TBoss has finally revealed the face of her daughter, six months after she welcomed her into the world.

The 2017 Big Brother Naija star shared the photo on her Instagram page this evening and wrote;

There’s no greater love than the love of a mother to her child.
And that is why, selfish as it may seem I choose to shield you from the eyes of people who may not always have the best intentions.
But I also realize that I can’t protect you forever- Not physically anyways.
And besides, it might be somewhat selfish of me not to share a part of you with the world because you are without a doubt My Biggest Blessing & Greatest Achievement.
However, I would always pray for you & protect you spiritually- I have committed you to The Almighty God & HE Alone watches, protects & provides for you.
You truly are a Bright & Shiny Star my Baby Starr & nobody & nothing can change that.
My Jesus Baby- anyone who blesses you would be blessed and anyone who tries otherwise or even as much as thinks it- would feel the wrath of My Heavenly Father swiftly & Strongly upon their lives.
Mommie Loves you Always & Forever & a Day more.”
