A man has committed suicide after he took to his Facebook page to write ‘Rest in peace to me’
The man identified as Dennis Yego Kogo from Kabiyet in Mosop, Nandi County hanged himself hours after sharing a series of photos of himself and wrote in his caption: ‘Rest in peace to me.’
A few minutes later, he posted again to his Facebook story: “kama kuna mtu ananitai then kam before midday tomorrow morning (If I owe you any money, come and meet me tomorrow morning).”
His lifeless body was later found hanging from a tree.

The British-Nigerian heavyweight Champion recently enrolled for his National Identity Number and according to reports, was issued the slip immediately. The National Identity Management Commission in a bid to promote the importance of enrolling, opted to use the Boxer’s photo on their official social media page.
However, Nigerians online lambasted the Commission after they posted these photos of heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua, enrolling for his National Identification NUmber NIN and picking up his NIN slip.
Asides expressing anger that their own pictures were not displayed on the commission’s Twitter handle, some Nigerians say they have done the same registeration for years and are yet to pick up their slips.

Brooklyn rapper Pop Smoke has died at the age of 20, TMZ, The Hollywood Reporter, and Rolling Stone report.
According to TMZ’s source, he was shot during a home invasion at his house in Hollywood Hills. Pop Smoke was reportedly pronounced dead at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in West Hollywood on the morning of Wednesday, February 19.
At the time of writing this, the suspects have not been caught.

The police in Mecklenburg outside Burgersfort have launched a manhunt for a 52 year old suspect Senyatse Lucas Phasha, who allegedly killed his four children at ga-Pasha village, Polokwane.
The bodies of the children were found at two different locations in the area.
The suspect allegedly informed a neighbor on Tuesday morning, 18 February 2020, about the murders and and also indicated to him the places where the bodies were.
The police were then informed and on arrival, the lifeless bodies of three children aged 09, 07 and 05 were found in the nearby bushes and that of a 3 year old was found next to the local mountain, at about 3 kilometers from the first scene.
Preliminary police investigations indicate that the suspect stopped the vehicle transporting the kids from school on Monday 17 February 2020. The driver, who apparently knows the father, stopped and let the kids go with their father.
Three of the children were found with stab wounds. The youngest was found with open wounds. The children were identified as follows:
• Katlego Pasha, 9 year old boy
• Joyce Pasha, 7 year old girl
• Tshepo Phasha, 5 year old girl
• Adel Phasha, 3 year old boy.
According to reports on social media, the man had taken to Facebook to accuse the children’s mother of cheating and infecting him with HIV.

The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba, who also visited the scene has condemned this incident in the strongest possible terms, more so as it was allegedly perpetrated by someone who was supposed to protect these victims.
An orchestra violinist who recently underwent an operation to remove a brain tumor had to play her instrument to ensure surgeons did not damage the part which controls the movement of her hands.
Dagmar Turner, a 53-year-old management consultant and passionate violinist from the Isle of Wight, had a tumour removed at King’s College Hospital, according to Sky News.
Before the operation, Dagmar was worried she could lose her music skills but she later pleaded with the surgeons to allow her play the violin while she is being operated on.

According to the surgeons, they mapped her brain, opened the skull and then got her to play the violin as the tumour was removed.
Professor Keyoumars Ashkan, a consultant neurosurgeon at the hospital, said: “This was the first time I’ve had a patient play an instrument,” he said.
“We managed to remove over 90% of the tumour, including all the areas suspicious of aggressive activity, while retaining full function in her left hand.”

Ms. Turner thanked the surgeons afterwards for preserving her 40-year love for the instrument.
“The violin is my passion,” she said. “I’ve been playing since I was 10 years old. The thought of losing my ability to play was heartbreaking.”

It was exclusively gathered that she died on Monday, February 17, 2020 in Calabar, Cross River State.
Yes Magazine learnt that she battled stroke and weight issues for a long time in Lagos. And was ultimately moved to Calabar, where it was hoped that her only daughter and child would take adequate care of her.

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Adeboye, has been dominating the trends on social media after his recent piece of advice where he told men not to marry women that do not know how to cook.
Also on Tuesday February 18, The RCCG General Overseer, turned to women to advise them not to marry a man who has no job.
