Daffy Blanco, a UK based Nigerian singer called out popular singer, Peruzzi, accusing him of rape and extortion.
Blanco posted on her Instagram handle @daffyblanco, that she contracted Peruzzi to write her hit songs, but he went beyond business by taking advantage of her.
She said that a drunk Peruzzi trailed her to the hotel room where she lodged and forced himself on her.
She also alleged that she contacted her lawyer, who decided she settle the case outside the court, but said that, scars of the incident are still hunting her.

A corps member identified as Adebayo Mukaila, was reportedly shot dead on Tuesday January 28 after being attacked by 2 robbers in Osun State.
The deceased was attacked by two robbers riding on a motorcycle while on his way home after closing his shop where he sold recharge cards and also operated a money transfer bussiness through the Point of Sales (PoS) machine.
Though residents of the community he is serving in heard gunshots by 11pm on the day of the incident, they were reportedly scared to come out to rescue the corps member who was in company of a little girl believed to be his daughter.
An eyewitness told The Nation;
“Mukaila was attacked after closing his shop around 11.00pm on Tuesday by the hoodlums.
“They first disposed him of his bag containing cash, PoS machine, recharge cards and bunch of keys before they shot him on the head.
“The robbers thereafter took flight on their bike after killing him. Mukaila’s daughter, who was with him when the incident happened, cried for help but nobody could come forward initially to rescue him. The sound of the gunshot was too audible but no one could come out of the house.”
NYSC’s spokesperson in the state, Catherine Otemuyiwa confirmed the incident and also revealed that they’ve visited the family of the deceased to condole with them.
A Supermarket in Abuja, reportedly a Chinese supermarket where imported seafoods and other animals from the asian country are illegally sold in the Jabi Area of Abuja, have been shut down.
Tweeting about this development on Twitter, the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) disclosed that the supermarket was shut down as a precautionary measure to the outbreak of coronavirus.
It was also discovered that some of the products sold at the supermarket had 2089, 2073, 2037, 2018 and 2019 expiry dates.

Olukayode Salako, husband of actress Foluke Daramola Salako, has accused a journalist, Olutade Oluwatosin Simeon, of publishing fake news of the dissolution of their marriage that caused the actress to suffer a miscarriage on Tuesday January 28th.
In a series of posts shared on his Facebook page, Mr Salako said Foluke was shocked by the report that she lost an eight week old pregnancy on Tuesday January 28th. A 33-year-old landlord, Stanley Ejike Awam, has been arrested for allegedly harbouring suspected internet fraudsters.
Stanley and 10 other suspected ‘Yahoo Boys’ were arrested by EFCC operatives today at different locations of the Ibadan metropolis following actionable intelligence on their alleged illegal activities.
A statement released by EFCC spokesperson, Tony Orilade reads in part
“For men of the commission who carried out the arrest, it was a daunting task locating Stanley’s six-flat property tucked inside an isolated environment around Ologuneru area of the Oyo State capital.”
He revealed that nine suspects, including Stanley, were arrested at the premises in Ibadan. Others are Henry Echefu, Usman Mustapha, Adeleke David, Olafuyi Josiah, Shorefire Ayokunmi, Riliwan Ajao, Abulsalam Abubakar and Lukman Salam.
Orilade said investigations is still ongoing and that the suspects will be charged to court in due time.
The cause of the fire outbreak at the popular Balogun market in Lagos state has been revealed.
Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Lagos State Governor on New Media, Jubril Gawat, revealed that the fire started after someone, possibly a trader, attempted to refuel his generator while it was on. An explosion ensued and the fire immediately started spreading.
Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, spokesman, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, said a total of seven buildings were affected while two of the affected buildings has collapsed.
“This fire has escalated to adjoining buildings totaling seven (7) in number and now is being contained by the Emergency responders-Lagos State Fire Service and the Federal Fire Service and NPA Fire Service. Seven buildings are affected and one has collapsed.
All responders are on ground and progress is being made. We urge for calm and will provide further updates,” said Oke-Osanyintolu, LASEMA’s Director General.
Men of the state fire service are still at the scene trying to put out the fire.

The director-general of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Shuaibu Ibrahim, has revealed the monthly allowance of corp members has been increased to N33,000.
The NYSC boss made the aforementioned known during a working visit to the NYSC secretariat in Bauchi.
According to a statement released on the scheme’s official Facebook page, Ibrahim said the increase is in line with the new minimum wage approved by the federal government. He said provisions for the new allowance have been made in the 2020 budget and payment would commence as soon as funds are released by the appropriate authorities.

Barely two months after a policeman and several goods valued at millions of Naira, went up in flames at Balogun market, a section of the popular market on Lagos Island, is reportedly on fire again.
The raging inferno was said to have started in the early hours of Wednesday, January 29, 2020.

On Sunday, January 26, 2020, the sporting world lost one of its greats in the person of legendary NBA player, Kobe Bryant, and his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, in a helicopter crash that also killed the seven other people on board.

Seven suspects allegedly using Point of Sale (POS) machines to extort unsuspecting motorists, have been arrested by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command.
The arrested suspects extorted motorists along LASU-Igando Expressway by claiming to be on contract with Ikotun-Igando Local Council Development Area in Alimosho Local Government Area.
The suspects arrested after a complaint by one of their victims, were identified as Taiwo Falodun (48), Mukaila Atanda (48), Adedire Olaniyi (40), Chibuzor Eze (26), Akinseye Alex (48), Rasak Eko (50) and Aro Dotun (46).
They reportedly extorted one of their victims of N41,000 for reportedly not speeding on the Expressway on Thursday January 23. Their victim’s vehicle which was impounded after being forced to drive to their hideout along LASU-Igando Expressway, was released on Friday January 24.
When RRS stormed their hideouts, 15 cars and two commercial buses with deflated tyres were recovered.

California rescuers have recovered the bodies of all nine victims from the scene of the helicopter crash that killed NBA legend Kobe Bryant, the coroner’s office confirmed Tuesday.
Three bodies were first retrieved from the scattered wreckage on Sunday, the day of the crash. On Monday, the remaining six were located as the search resumed.
In a statement, the Los Angeles County coroner’s office said the remains were ‘removed from the crash site and transported to the department’s forensic science center’ for examination and identification.
NBA legend, Kobe Bryant, 41, was traveling with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna to his Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks where his daughter was set to play. The pair died with seven others when the Sikorsky S-76 crashed into a hillside in Calabasas, northwest of Los Angeles.
Also killed were John Altobelli, 56, longtime head coach of Southern California’s Orange Coast College baseball team; his wife, Keri; and daughter, Alyssa, who played on the same basketball team as Bryant’s daughter.
Christina Mauser, a girls’ basketball coach at a Southern California elementary school also lost her life. Another young player, Payton Chester, was also killed in the crash along with her mother Sarah Chester.
The pilot, Ara Zobayan, 50, was the ninth victim.
The Investigators are expected to remain at the site of the crash throughout the week to collect evidence, with hope to find clues as to what caused the helicopter crash.
The Abia State Police Command has arrested and paraded a suspected armed robber identified as Kingsley Emezue alias Pakins alongside his gang members Enyinna Asiegbu (25) and Promise Sunday Obilor a.k.a Esere (26), for reportedly killing a couple before their three children.
Abia State’s Police Commissioner, Ene Okon told newsmen that the arrested suspects were connected to Sampson Iheukwumere Nwokocha a.k.a Grave, a notorious robber killed in December by the police.
He said the suspects who initially relocated after their gang leader was killed, returned to Umuahia in January 2020 after they thought the manhunt for them has been called off.
“The gang seemed to have gone on holidays to enjoy their loots and resurfaced around January 10, 2020, in what seems like recouping of expenses made during the Yuletides. The six-man gang on January 25, 2020, operating in a tricycle, snatched a Toyota Sienna van with registration number RBC477RL, along Health Center Road in World Bank Housing Estate, Umuahia.
“The gang, while operating in a Sienna van, shot and killed a couple, Mr and Mrs Darlington Chinyere Uzoma, along Secretariat Road, Ogwurube Layout, Umuahia. This was after robbing them of proceeds of the day’s sales.
“They robbed and shot Basil Okechukwu of Obowo, Imo State, on January 16, around Post Office Umuahia Road. Okechukwu was killed while on transit with the money he withdrew from bank.
“Officers from the Central Police Station, Umuahia and operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) on ‘Operation Puff Adder’ went after the hoodlums and intercepted a tricycle conveying two of the hoodlums named Precious Chukwuebuka Okoro and Ogbonna Ifeanyichukwu Justice. Interrogation of the duo resulted in the subsequent arrest of the other members of the gang namely; Enyinna Asiegbu (25), Promise Sunday Obilor (26) aka Esere and Emezue Kingsley (20) aka Pakins.”
Emezue introduced himself as a butcher when questioned by newsmen and also disclosed that he was lured into armed robbery by bad friends.
He said;
“We did the robbery operation actually on Saturday night, but I did not shoot the couple. It was our driver that shot them.”
On Tuesday morning, actress Bimbo Afolayan, took to Instagram to cry for justice after her mum was allegedly attacked by a landlord in the estate where she resides.
Internet trolls who saw the videos Bimbo shared showing her mum’s bruised body, asked her to go rent a “better” apartment for her mum as the current one doesn’t suit her status as the actress’ mother. They went as far as labelling her a poor actress.
Enraged by their comments, Bimbo posted series of videos on her IG page where she laid serious curses on those trolling her instead of sympathizing with her.

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has reacted to the death sentence issued to Maryam Sanda for killing her husband.
On November 19, 2017, Maryam stabbed her husband to death on accusation of infidelity after she found a message on his phone.
The Nigerian police charged Ms Sanda for culpable homicide in November 2017, and sought the death penalty against the accused in a two count charge.
On January 27, 2019, The Abuja Division of the Federal High Court, found Maryam Sanda guilty of killing her husband, Bilyaminu Bello.
Ms Sanda was sentenced to death by hanging by the judge.
Reacting to the news, Femi Fani-Kayode wondered who will now take care of the child left behind.
His wrote on twitter ;

According to her, she felt helpless after the case was reported at the police station, only for them to be shunned, yet she didn’t want the landlord to go unpunished for what he did to her mum.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell has written an open letter to the organizers of Grammy Awards after Burna Boy’s loss to Angelique Kidjo at the 2020 edition of the awards.
Naomi Campbell who praised Angelique for spreading light and opening minds through her music, stated that Burna Boy has not been given the accolades he truly deserves due to lack of education.
The supermodel averred that categorization of afrobeats in the ‘World Music’ category of the 2020 Grammys, diminished an entire genre in which such a high standard of talent has emerged.
Naomi who queried the recording academy on the voting pattern of the category, urged them to use the next 363 days to reassess and reflect on their perspective of ‘World Music.’

Recall that some weeks ago, the fashion designer is set to make her acting debut in Kunle Afolayan’s feature film, The Citation.
It is believed that Femi Otedola and wife, Nana Otedola, went unannounced to show massive support to their daughter as they visited her on the set of the movie.
These dramatic pictures have revealed the moment Kobe Bryant’s helicopter exploded in a fireball after it crashed into a hillside in Calabasas, California, killing the NBA legend, his 13-year-old daughter Gigi and seven others.
The photos, taken in the aftermath of the crash by a witness show the flaming wreckage of the helicopter after it plunged 1,000 feet into a hillside on Sunday.
The witness said he saw ‘helicopter parts flying everywhere’ after the aircraft emerged from ‘out of the fog’ and exploded in a ‘huge fireball’.
Before the crash, Pilot Ara Zobayan had told air traffic controllers that he was climbing to avoid a cloud layer.
On Monday, an accident investigator said the pilot asked and received special clearance to fly in heavy fog just minutes before the crash and was flying at 1,400 feet when he went south and then west.
Authorities also revealed that there was no black box on board but instead an iPad which was used for flight itinerary.
Pilot Zobayan asked for air traffic controllers to provide ‘flight following’ radar assistance but was told the craft was too low for that assistance, Jennifer Homendy of the National Transportation Safety Board said.
About four minutes later, ‘the pilot advised they were climbing to avoid a cloud layer,’ she said. ‘When ATC asked what the pilot planned to do, there was no reply. Radar data indicates the helicopter climbed to 2,300 feet and then began a left descending turn.’ The wreckage was found at 1,085 feet.
Homendy said last radar contact was around 9.45am. Two minutes later, someone on the ground called 911 to report the crash.
The helicopter, which left Santa Ana in Orange County, south of Los Angeles, shortly after 9 a.m., was heading to the Mamba Academy near Thousand Oaks, California when the chopper went down in Calabasas, about 30 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles.
All nine people on board the aircraft, including the NBA legend and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna died.
NTSB investigators went to the crash site in Calabasas on Monday to collect evidence. ‘The debris field is pretty extensive,’ Homendy said. ‘A piece of the tail is down the hill,’ she said. ‘The fuselage is on the other side of that hill. And then the main rotor is about 100 yards beyond that.’
The witness who saw the helicopter come down, and took the pictures of the flaming wreckage, told The Sun that: ‘One of the helicopter doors landed about 10 to 15 feet away from us. Helicopter parts were flying everywhere. There was very little left of the helicopter.’
Some experts suggested that the pilot might have gotten disoriented because of fog but Homendy said investigating teams would look at everything from the pilot’s history to the engines. ‘We look at man, machine and the environment,’ she said. ‘And weather is just a small portion of that.’
