Mavin Records artiste, Dr. Sid has revealed how his career got so bad to the point that he got so frustrated with life.
He confessed that a mild stroke followed that frustration which almost cost him his life. He then dropped the submission that “the race is not for the swift, neither is the battle for the strong, or bread to men of understanding.”
He also added that if Nigeria must get better, the change must start with the individual.
In his words;
“I have had a period of real difficulty. I have had a period of financial difficulty. I was making music, nothing was working. I wasn’t getting booked at shows. Of my own doing, I didn’t have passive income. I didn’t have anything outside of music. I had health issues; I had high blood pressure and a mild stroke last year. I almost died.”
“At that point, you think to yourself ‘What’s going on?’ I’ve struggled. In struggling you understand that the only person responsible for the change is you. Same thing with Naija as a whole. The issue with this country starts with individuals.”
Ahead of his rematch with Deontay Wilder next month, Tyson Fury has revealed what he has been up to.
At a press conference on Tuesday, he said he has been masturbating up to seven times a day. Fury explained that the purpose is to keep his testosterone levels up.
Talking to Hoop Jab he explained all the new things he’s doing to turn the draw into a win, “I’m doing a lot of things I didn’t before. I’m eating five/six meals a day, I’m drinking eight litres of water a day.
“I don’t know if any of that even matters on the night. It didn’t matter before but if it’s gonna give me an edge on winning this fight then I’m willing to try it, why not.
“I’m masturbating seven times a day, keep my testosterone pumping. I’ve gotta keep active, testosterone flowing. Don’t want the levels to go down”
Whilst some pleasures are being increased the 31-year-old also revealed that there is some others he’s had to cut down on, like drinking diet coke, “I’m really eliminating all the distractions this time. No phones, no thing like that. No diet coke, which I’ve become susceptible to,” Fury added, “I’ve had tons, and tons, and tons of it in every training camp. This is the first training camp in 10 years I’ve not had one diet coke and I won’t have any until after the fight.
“This is the 1st training camp where I’m going to bed early at 9.30 every night and I wake up every morning at 7 am, fresh as a daisy.”
Talking of ‘knocking one out,’ the Manchester born boxer thinks that the second fight will be different to the first showdown when they face on February 22nd.
For much of that fight the lineal champion boxed on the back foot and moved well to avoid Wilder’s punching power, though he did twice get caught with shots that put him on the floor but didn’t end the fight, but Fury claimed on Monday night he’ll end the fight in two rounds, saying, “I’ll meet you in the center of the ring, Deontay Wilder. February 22nd, you won’t have to look anywhere for me. Just watch out for the right hand because you’re going to sleep in two rounds. Two! Two rounds, he’s going down.
“I keep having a dream about two rounds. In poker, I keep getting dealt number two. It’s definitely a thing. He’s getting knocked out in two rounds. 100 percent!”
Fashion-designer and daughter of billionaire Femi Otedola, Temi Otedola, has revealed she is in love with acting.
She made this known while announcing her role in Kunle Afolayan’s movie, ‘Citation’.
According to Temi, who is making her acting debut in the most anticipated movie, saidshe had been passionate about acting since her school days.
Explaining how fate brought her back to her first love, she said:
“I have been watching Mr. Afolayan’s films like forever. From ‘Figurine’ to ‘October 1’, ‘Phone Swap’, and I was actually introduced to him, I told him that from university and through school I have always been into acting and that was my first passion in life and he told me about a script coming out and the lead character is actually a girl of my age and a university student and the story tells a tale of something that is so relatable and relevant to what is happening today, not only in Nigeria but all over the world.”
On why she took up the role, she said,
“the lead character is a girl of my age and in the university while also treating a global issue that confronts women. So it is a story that is close to my heart, and I thought I could really bring that story to life.”
When asked why she’s kept the creative side of her life from the public for so long, she said,
“for me, it’s all about timing, so, for me until this movie proposal had come, I don’t think I would have entered into this arena of creative work, but this script is perfect for me. I’m so happy that I waited for this time. With Kunle Afolayan’s film, it means I am starting at the top. So, I’m just so humbled to have been given this opportunity. The message is to tell women that we are hearing their stories, that we believe them. Women are being harassed in several ways.”
On leaving fashion for acting, Temi said, “both of them are still very close to my heart; I will always be designing and doing fashion, but also, this is my one true love. So I’ll continue acting.”

Social media commentator, Reno Omokri has suggested that the King James Bible, popular amongst Christians, was not accurately written.
Read his opinion below:
“One of the biggest mistakes Christians make is to think that the King James Version of the Bible is an exact or evening equivalent translation of the original Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek Scriptures. Not true. Not true at all.
“The King James Version is similar to a version of one of many sides of an argument. When people argue, they tell their ‘own side’ of what transpired. As an independent and objective bystander, you will be foolish if you hear only one side of the argument and conclude based on that.
“Sadly, that is what many people do with the King James Version. And this has led to a situation where their faith is built on lies, half-truths and inadvertent errors by the translators.
“There are actually people who have said, ‘If King James Version was good enough for the early church, it is good enough for me!”. Such is the ignorance of many so-called Christians that they are unaware that the KJV was established in 1611, more than 1500 years after the ‘early church’. Many people you know, actually think that Peter, John and Paul, among with many of the Apostles, wrote the KJV. I am not joking.”
“One of the Scriptural verses that the KJV got either deliberately or inadvertently wrong is Isaiah 45:11 which reads in that version as follows: “Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.” Based on that, many genuine believers have been commanding God. Let me put it this way, it is actually stupid to command God. And the original Hebrew Scriptures never said such.
“The truth, which is clear if you read the original Hebrew, or even if you read the preceding and succeeding verses, is that God speaking through Isaiah was showing disappointment in people who were questioning His judgment. The preceding verse (Isaiah 45:10) says: “Woe to the one who says to a father, ‘What have you begotten?’ or to a mother, ‘What have you brought to b
“The truth, which is clear if you read the original Hebrew, or even if you read the preceding and succeeding verses, is that God speaking through Isaiah was showing disappointment in people who were questioning His judgment.
“The preceding verse (Isaiah 45:10) says: “Woe to the one who says to a father, ‘What have you begotten?’ or to a mother, ‘What have you brought to birth?’” The verse before that (Isaiah 45:9) says: “Does the clay say to the potter, ‘What are you making?’ Does your work say, ‘The potter has no hands’?” Now think. After giving out such warnings as was given in verses 9 and 10, why would God now ask His creations, you and I, to command Him about the work of His hands? The answer is that He did not.
“Almost every other translation gives the right translation to Isaiah 45:11. I will give four below and you can compare them with the KJV: “”This is what the LORD says– the Holy One of Israel, and its Maker: Concerning things to come, do you question me about my children, or give me orders about the work of my hands?”-NIV “Thus says the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and the one who formed him: “Ask me of things to come; will you command me concerning my children and the work of my hands?”-ESV “This is what the LORD says— the Holy One of Israel and your Creator: “Do you question what I do for my children? Do you give me orders about the work of my hands?” There are two verses in the King James Version which have always troubled me and made me question my faith as a youth. Those verses are 2 Kings 2:23-24 which read: “And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth litt.”
