John Boyega attended the Star Wars Premiere in London dressed in traditional attire to show off his Nigerian roots but Sugabelly criticized his outfit and he dismissed her with a few words.
The controversial Sugabelly, who once said Pete Edochie isn’t a good actor and also that Don Jazzy’s Mavin studio is ugly, wrote in reaction to Boyega’s outfit:
I don’t understand the choice to wear Hausa clothes instead of Yoruba clothes. Both the hat and the babanriga are Hausa style.
However, the actor dismissed her with just two words as he replied : “And so.”
Nigerian cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye A.K.A Bobrisky, has flaunted his ‘new body’ following his recent liposuction procedure to have a perfect body.
Bobrisky took to his social media page to unveil his new body in a video of him boarding a private jet. The procedure reportedly took place in Dubai last month.
A student was jailed on Friday, December 20, for urging her boyfriend to prove his love for her by killing his ex-girlfriend during a macabre plot ‘to prove himself’
Sarah Mohamed, 17, loitered outside the victim’s home in Openshaw, Manchester for two hours while she waited for her boyfriend, Rhett Carty-Shaw, also 17, to kill the mother of his child.
As she waited outside, she sent more than 50 text messages to encourage him to carry out the brutal attack in May earlier this year.
One of the messages she sent to her boyfriend while he was inside with the mother of his child reads: “Why you taking so long? Hurry up and do it.”
The pair were both jailed for 16 years on December 20, 2019.
Mohamed had first plotted the murder after she discovered that her boyfriend was continuing his relationship with his ex-girlfriend, 17-year-old Imam Nasir.
Manchester Crown Court heard during the trial that she was angered and “felt humiliated”. She proceeded to end her relationship with him and said that he had “let her down” and that she “cannot trust him”.
But Carty-Shaw was upset about the relationship coming to an end and arranged to meet with Mohamed at lunchtime the day before the attack in an attempt to talk her round.
Just hours after the meeting, Carty-Shaw made Google searches on asphyxiation and “how long do people get sentenced for murder”.
The court heard that the boy turned up at the victim’s home the following day with a change of clothes along with a large kitchen knife in his bag.
Ms Nasir described how Carty-Shaw had told her that he had to kill her. She said he also asked her whether she would kill herself for him, whether he could kill her and how he should kill her. He told her that he was being pressured to kill her and that people would harm his family if he did not go through with it.
Miss Nasir recalled how at one stage he had asked her to give the appearance of strangulation so that he could take a photograph and send it as fake evidence of her death.
She applied make-up to her neck to fake strangulation and closed her eyes so that he could take a photo but when she opened her eyes she saw him holding a knife.
Miss Nasir tried to call 999 as well as one of her friend’s but he prevented her from doing so. She instructed him to leave and tried to push him down the stairs and out of the house into the garden which is when Carty-Shaw became extremely violent.
He inflicted numerous blows that left her with wounds to her face, neck and armpit plus three to her back and shewas lucky to escape with her life.
Carty-Shaw left the scene shortly after and made his way to his girlfriend Mohamed who was waiting outside. The pair talked and embraced after returning to Mohamed’s home before he left and she returned inside the property.
Carty-Shaw was arrested a short time later while standing at a bus stop close to his co-defendant’s address.
It became apparent that he had changed his clothes and trainers and was in possession of two plastic bags which contained an open packet of Dettol wipes, some of which had already been used.
It is thought that they had been purchased in order to clean the large kitchen knife, a green sports bag and his blood stained clothing and trainers.
His accomplice, Mohamed, was arrested soon after and her phone was seized.
Phone analysis showed that she was constantly pressuring the boy, repeatedly texting him instructing him to video what he was doing and send the footage to her video so that she knew that it had been done.
She wrote: “Vid it then delete it when I see it please… Did you get rid of the phone?”
Police also found a message telling Carty-Shaw not to do anything stupid and leave his DNA behind or he would be going to prison.
In one exchange Carty-Shaw wrote “I did it to prove I love you – there was no other way to keep you”
And Miss Mohamed replied: “I know there wasn’t -I’m gonna protect you at all costs.”
Miss Nasir, who is said to have been lucky not to have been killed in the attack, was taken to hospital where she was treated for serious injuries.
Mohamed has now been jailed for intentionally encouraging or assisting a person to commit murder.
She denied wrongdoing claiming she thought Carty-Shaw was simply going to end his relationship with the victim and she wanted him to record the break up on his phone as proof.
Carty-Shaw was originally charged with rape but was found not guilty. But he admitted causing GBH but was convicted of the more serious charge of attempted murder.
Both were sentenced onFriday, December 20, 2019, to 16 years behind bars.
A judge ordered they be named due to the “strong public interest” in the case.

Nigerian Singer, Timaya has incurred the wrath of Ik Ogbonna and other Nigerians after he stated that he doesn’t like to be compared to other Nigerian celebrities because they wear fake fashion items.

Apostle Johnson Suleman, General Overseer of the Omega Fire ministries has reacted to the impeachment of US President Donald Trump.

A lady has taken to her social media platform to recount how a male corps member serving in northern Nigeria was beaten and almost killed because he performed CPR on an unconscious female student to resuscitate her.
Writing via her handle, @Deola_Adereti narrated how a JSS 3 student felt ill and was brought to the office occupied by corps members. A male corps member asked the sick student to remove her hijab so he could pour cold water on her face because she was sweating profusely and was running a temperature.
But the sick student refused to remove her hijab for religious reasons. She soon collapsed and her breathing became faint. As the male corps member tried to perform mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, students objected.
But she soon stopped breathing and the corps member ignored the protests and performed CPR on her. That saved her life. When she recovered, she was taken to the hospital, while angry male students went after the corps member with weapons. He managed to escape.
The following day, the father of the girl and other male members of the community came after the male corps member. They allegedly accused him of defiling the sick student and beat him to within an inch of his life.
Ace Singer, Duncan Mighty has finally opened up on his recent arrest by policemen in Imo State.
Following initial reports that the musician was allegedly kidnapped in Imo State, fresh reports indicated that he was arrested by officers of the Imo State Police Command on allegations of fraud.

Singer, Wizkid is being sued jointly by Tony Tetuila and Ghanaian musician Tic Tac, over copyright infringement, demanding $82,000 in compensation.
According to the plaintiffs, Wizkid had sampled their song ‘Fefe Ne Efe’ released in 2004 but failed to pay for it.
In an interview on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz with Andy Dosty, Tic said Wizkid sampled the chorus of ‘Fefe Ne Efe’ for his verse on DJ Tunez’s song titled ‘Gbese’.
In a writ addressed to the defendant, Tic and Tony Tetuila are seeking damages to the tune of N30,000,000 equivalent to GH?473,379.29 ($82,758.62).

Nigerian media personality, OAP LOLO, was recently a victim of traffic thieves after she attended singer Teni’s concert in Lagos.

Men of the Inspector-General of Police Special Intelligence Response Team (IRT) have arrested two suspected kidnappers, a 28-year-old Best Kevwe Iweh and 30-year-old Emmanuel Tomson for reportedly killing their gang member Raymond Enahon.
The arrested suspects reportedly murdered the gang leader on August 19 for fleeing with a N5m ransom they got from a victim’s family, buying a Lexus ‘Jeep’ and lavishing the rest on his numerous girlfriends. The deceased’s remains was then buried in a shallow grave at Obiaruku village in Delta State.
Upon being arrested, Iweh and Tomson led the IRT operatives to the grave where Enahon’s remains was exhumed.
A police source who confirmed the arrest said;
“The downfall of the gang started after IRT operatives, on the instruction of the IG, went to Delta State on the trail of a notorious kidnapping gang, led by Best Kevwe Iweh. The gang, who is a native of Oria Abaraka in Delta State, was successfully arrested. He is a notorious kidnapper and had been terrorising Delta State. The second suspect, Emmanuel Tomson, was arrested on August 18.
“Both suspects have confessed to several kidnappings, including the kidnapping of a former finance officer in Delta State in August 2018. They also admitted to kidnapping and killing Raymond Enahon, their gang member. Raymond bought a Lexus RS 330 from N5 million ransom realised from one of their kidnappings.
“Raymond collected the ransom and fled. They confirmed that Raymond bought a Lexus from the money and spent the remaining part of the ransom with his girlfriends. According to the suspects, they lured Raymond somewhere and killed him. After killing Raymond, they sold the jeep for N1.8 million.”
Effort to arrest other members of the gang has been intensified by the police.

Banky W has taken a swipe at Nigerian lawmakers over the allocation of N37bn for renovation of the National Assembly Complex.
The singer who contested in the 2019 general election for a seat in the House of Representatives, stated that the leaders of the National Assembly have no conscience over the amount budgeted for the renovation project.
According to Banky W, N37Billion was budgeted to renovate an office building at a time the education and healthcare sector are in a state of emergency.
He tweeted;

A dog owner, Carley Coca was left in shock after being unable to recognize her pet after taking him to the local groomer.
Carley Coca, a 28-year-old from Florida, took her seven-year-old dog, named Nanuk, to her local groomer to cut his hair a little bit but it seems there was a mix up in communication, and when she came back the next day to pick up her dog, he looked so unrecognizable that she even passed him.
Carley said she was suprised to find out her very hairy dog had become bald and now looked more like a British Bull Terrier than a Samoyed and she has to wear him sun cream until his fur grows back.
She said to Mirror UK: “When I went to pick up Nanuk from the groomers, I literally said out loud, ‘That’s not my dog’.
“The groomer assured me it was Nanuk and I even had to call him to check, but he looked like a complete different breed.”

Looking at the recent trend of things in the music industry, it looks like Olamide Adedeji popularly called Olamide Badoo is no more bad again as an artiste. Most especially in 2019 that is about to come to an end, it feels like his career is going to end with the year.
Olamide Badoo is an amazing artiste no doubt, he has done so well for himself as an artiste, as a businessman in music, has helped several people but it looks all that is about to become a history judging by the recent happenings, maybe it’s just that his season as an a-list artiste has ended.
Olamide came into the industry with a track titled ‘Eni Duro’, this track shook the music industry and he almost immediately rose to become one of the most sought after musician in Nigeria. He immediately continued with ‘Omo To Shan’ featuring Wizkid, both were everyone’s favourite at this time and this contributed to the success of the song. Olamide later got the name Young Erikina, he released songs and he became a household name in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
Olamide, since then , has released hit songs back to back, has done several shows which were sold out, raised the likes of Lil Kesh, Adekunle Gold, Chinko Ekun, YBNL Princess, Lyta, Picazzo Rap, Yomi Blaze, Fireboy DML to mention a few, even after having so many artistes to look after, Olamide still got time to release hit songs.
However, 2019 has not been a good year for the artiste, although traces of this were seen in 2018 but they weren’t so obvious as 2019. Olamide has enjoyed fame on merit ever since but has done little to enjoy longevity. As much as people wants to dance, people get tired sometimes and wants to listen to something that has great meaning. Taking a look at 2face, Banky W, these people can’t release a song today without people getting to know it, they are legends already, their sound is unique and they have a very good line of lyrics but Olamide released some tracks which include Woske and Pawon this year and it was just short of expectation for some people.
The vulgar languages, even on his instagram page, some people had to unfollow him due to the content he was posting to promote the songs, he began posting ladies dancing naked, shaking their butt and his page was almost looking like a porn site. People believe things like this should occur with an upcoming artiste who is looking for attention not someone who has gotten the attention already.
Olamide didn’t win any notable award this year, he didn’t make any notable achievement this year and next year isn’t looking like a glorious one for him, looking at this, Olamide might never recover from the death of his career, however, I wish him well.

Indigenous Nigerian Rapper/Singer, Zlatan Ibile turned 25 yesterday, December 19th, and he celebrated the big day by, first acquiring a Diamond plated wrist watch, and then a Brand New Range Rover.
This comes after he shut down his maiden concert, Zlatan Live, which held at the Balmoral Convention Center in Victoria Island, Lagos.
The rapper shared a photo of his new 2016 Range Rover Autobiography to his Instagram Stories. Davido also shared it and congratulated Zlatan.
