Nollywood’s infamous actor, Uche Maduagwu has taken to his social media page to shoot his shot at Billionaire Daughter, DJ Cuppy in a rather strange way.

The controversial actor took to his Instagram page to reveal that he is ready to wash DJ Cuppy’s pants and dresses if she will marry him.

Two teachers, six female students abducted from school in Kaduna State

No fewer than six female students and two teachers have reportedly been abducted at the Engraver’s College in Kakau Daji, Chikun local government area of Kaduna state.

According to a report by TheCable, one of the parents whose daughter was abducted said he received a call from the abductors in the morning on Thursday, October 3rd.

“They told my daughter to give them a number to call, and that was when they called me, but I could’t understand if they were asking for ransom because they spoke in a language I could barely hear.

I spoke with my daughter and then they collected the phone from her and terminated the call” he said.

A reporter couldn’t hold back tears after she was attacked live on air in Barcelona at a march to observe the second anniversary of the Catalan independence referendum.

Laila Jiménez, from Spanish television network Telecinco, was reporting live when she was hit on the head by a Red Bull thrown by a protester on Tuesday evening, October 1 – she was then pushed and shouted at by angry Catalan separatists outside Jaume Balmes school, on the corner of the streets of Consejo de Ciento and Pau Claris.

Some demonstrators yelled at her to leave but others were kinder and tried to protect her, with one of them offering her paper towels to dry herself.

Miss Jiménez, who struggled to hold back tears, later changed locations and continued reporting.

She later described the incident as “humiliating”, according to Informativos Telecinco.

The treatment of the journalist spurred outrage online, with several Spanish politicians condemning it.

On Twitter, Gabriel Rufián, spokesman for the Republican Party of Catalonia, wrote,

“Doing this with a female worker with a microphone on the street is disgusting.”

“We won’t apologise to Madonna University” – Parents of students detained in prison for 7 months for criticizing school says

Looks like the legal battle between the management of private institution, Madonna University and parents of the 6 students of the institution detained for 7 months in prison custody for criticizing the school on social media might be going on for a long time, as they’ve vowed not to apologize to the school authority over their wards’ action.

Speaking on behalf of the parents on Thursday October 3rd, Mr. Christopher Onyejekwe stated that they had an agreement with the university’s management to withdraw the lawsuit.

He said,

“Sequel to the meeting we had with Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Ralph Madu, the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Madonna University; the Registrar of Madonna University and the Rector of the Saviourite House of Formation, Fr. Dr. Oliver Udaya, on 24th day of September 2019 at Assumpta Cathedral, Owerri, we, the accused persons of a case before the Federal High Court Awka with suit No: FHC/FHC/C/03/2019 decided to give peace a chance.

“We also took into good view the concerns of many Catholic Bishops, especially Most Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor of Awka Diocese and Most Rev. Hilary Okeke of Nnewi Diocese.

“We realised that giving peace a chance will be in the best interest of the image of the church, the image of Madonna and decided to settle the matter at a roundtable.”

However he said when the agreement was presented to the founder of the University, Rev. Father Edeh, he insisted that the parents must tender individual apologies to the school.

“We were optimistic that the voice of reason would prevail; but when the resolution of our meeting was presented to the founder of the university, Rev. Father Edeh, he asked us to tender individual apologies to the university.

“Why should we tender apologies to him for detaining our children in prison for seven months and ruining their career?” Onyejekwe added.

When Punch’s correspondent reached out to the Deputy Registrar of the university, Mr. Charles Njoku to comment on the parents’ decision, he revealed that he was sacked without any reason.

“I can’t react. They have just sacked me from the university without any reason given to me. I’m in my house” he said.

Asked whether his sacking had anything to do with the students’ matter, Njoku said, I don’t know. They didn’t give me any reason for my sack.”

EFCC operatives have arrested three suspects for conspiracy and obtaining money by false pretence to the tune of N7, 107, 540.00.

The suspects- Adewuyi A. Adebayo,31; Osikoya K. Gboyega, 44 and Akintunde Ogunrinde, 47- were arrested on September 9, 2019 following intelligence about their activities. They were arrested at different locations in Lagos State and transferred to Makurdi, Benue State.

EFCC says the petitioner alleged that on 18th of February, 2018, he noticed his MTN line had stopped working as no calls or messages came to his phone and the phone displayed a message saying, ‘invalid SIM card’. He went to the MTN office to lodge a complaint but was told to apply for a welcome back SIM that was not successful as someone else had swapped his SIM card in Abia State.

He immediately contacted his account officer at FCMB to inform them of the development and to change his alert phone number to another line only to discover that transactions had occurred on his account without his consent.

The threshold limit for online transfers on his account had also been increased above five hundred thousand Naira and the sum of Seven million, one hundred and seven thousand, five hundred and forty Naira (N7,107,540.00) removed from his account.

Further investigations revealed that the suspects masterminded the alleged the fraud.

University of Ibadan International School suspends student for wearing hijab to school

Ikhlass Olasubomi Badiru, a female student of the University of Ibadan International School, has been suspended by the school’s authorities for reportedly wearing a Hijab to school in July.

The student was reportedly given the punishment after the disciplinary committee found her guilty of act of impudence to the school authority.

The letter reads ;

“At the meeting of the Students Disciplinary Committee (SDC) looking into students’ misconduct held on Wednesday 28th August, 2019, you were found guilty of act of impudence to school authority.

“Your action contravenes the school’s rules and regulations. Therefore, you are to serve two weeks full suspension effective from 7th September 2019 to 18th September, 2019.

“Also, you and your parents shall be expected to report to the counsellor on Monday 21st October 2019 to present a written undertaking o the school to obey rules and regulations throughout your remaining days on the school.”

Mr. President, I am writing this letter with a heavy heart. Attached pictures are alledgedly your arrival in South Africa, a land still wet with the blood of your children and you are all smiles recieving flowers to a heroes welcome on a red carpet.

I put it to you sir, such arrangement was never queried because your son or close relative was not part of those killed gruesomely. From the last I know, my son lives in South Africa, and I put myself in the shoes of those parents, families whose bread winners lives were cut short out of hate, wickedness and outright evil, how will they percieve this? Will you demand true justice?

Under the UN article, every person have right to travel and live anywhere in the world. What if your son was killed(God forbid), is this the kind of entry your protocol will accept? Sir, Nigeria can do better. The govt who cannot send one of the aircrafts in your fleet to evacuate planned this, disgusting. Nigerians that loot shoprites are in court and South Africans that killed your sons, daughters and country men are giving you red carpet welcome. Shameful.

Sir, your ability to allow SARS to torment Nigerians without you addressing it vigorously. That peaceful protests disrupted right from what Legendry Tuface Idibia planned to the recent Omoyele Sowore’s planned revolution protest are no good signs for our democracy. Maybe this is why you hardly bother rejecting or query some diplomatic or govt actions that may anger Nigerians, maybe you assume we FEAR you and protest can never happen. For how long?

In my opinion, that welcome and body language is like spitting on the graves of slain Nigerians. That is even if Nigerian Embassy know where the bodies are, how they were buried and where they were buried.
I will continue to speak up responsibly on matters that affects people’s peace, that may trigger perpetual violence on and offline. In the case of Nigeria, SILENCE HAS NEVER BEEN GOLDEN, IT IS BECOMING A PUNISHMENT. The culture of silence, fear and cowardice are reasons why most political evil, non-challelance and extreme disregard continue unabated.

27 year old man caught digging up his father’s body after 14 years to retrieve his leather shoes.

A Kenyan man was caught exhuming his father’s body to retrieve his leather shoes.

27-year-old Patrick Mwangi Katonye was caught by members of the public, disinterring the body at around 8 am on Wednesday, October 2, in Maseno Village.

The photo above shows the disturbed grave of his late father Johnson Ndonye in Subukia, Nakuru County.

According to Nakuru Police Commander Stephen Matu, the suspect wanted to retrieve a pair of leather shoes his late father Johnson Ndonye was buried with back in 2005. The police commander said the man claimed he wanted to sell the shoes.

“The suspect told the police that he wanted to sell the shoes. He waited for members of his family to leave the home before exhuming the body but the shoe was rotten,” said Matu.

Police arrested Katonye and ordered him to be taken for psychiatric tests before being presented in court where he will be charged for disturbing the dead.

“It is wrong for anybody to exhume the dead. Such can only be done if permission is granted by a court of law. Investigations have therefore commenced after which the suspect will be arraigned,” added the police boss.

Matu said the suspect’s family requested the police to allow them to conduct prayers before reburying the body, as it is a taboo to exhume the dead.

“Police are liaising with the family and the church to rebury the body. The family requested us to allow them time to conduct some prayers and cleansing,” he said.

Nigeria’s Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo has said that he will continue to remain loyal to his number one, President Buhari.

Osinbajo’s pledge of loyalty to the President comes in the midst of rumored cold war between the office of the Vice President and the President.

Recent moves by the President such as the replacement of the Economic Management Team headed by Osinbanjo with the Economic Advisory Council mandated to report directly to Buhari, have fueled such speculations about the crack within the Presidency.

Hauwa announced the good news today on Instagram stories. Sharing a photo of herself cradling her bundle of joy, she wrote:

“Our little one is here. Alhamdulillah”

Hauwa Indimi, the daughter of Maiduguri billionaire oil mogul Mohammed Indimi and her husband Mohammed Yar’Adua, the son of late NNPC boss got married in grand wedding ceremonies in 2018.

President Buhari yesterday, October 2, departed Abuja for South Africa to begin a three-day official visit to South Africa.

The president left the Presidential Villa around 1:30 p.m. for Pretoria via the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

According to the presidential spokesman; President Buhari went to South Africa to honor the invitation of his counterparts, President Cyril Ramaphosa to converse and discuss the welfare of Nigerians and how to build a harmonious relationship with their hosts

Evicted Big Brother Naija ‘Pepper Dem’ housemate, Ike, has spoken on relocating to Nigeria from the US.

Ike was evicted alongside Elozonam during last Sunday’s live eviction show.

Ike, who hails from Imo State shuffles between Houston and Texas.

However, Ike on Wednesday disclosed that he would not be going back to USA anytime soon, adding that he would stay back in Africa to make money.

He said this while answering a question to a fan who asked if he was going back to the USA.

The fan asked : “Ike will you go back to USA soon.”

Ike said: “Too much money in Africa, I’m here for good.”

One-eyed Sunday arrested over serial murder of 15 people in Ogun

A one-eyed man said to be on the Police wanted list over the murder of 15 people have been arrested in Ogun State.

The suspect identified as Sunday Paul a.k.a Blade, is reportedly the leader of the Eiye confraternity in Ikenne and he was arrested on September 21 after a discreet investigation.

News of his arrest led to a wild celebration in the community and it was learnt that he has been arrested in the past and charged to court on three different occasions. He also spent some time in prison custody over a murder related case before being released recently.

The state’s police spokesperson Abimbola Oyeyemi said ;

“Upon his arrest, it was discovered that he has been arrested and charged to court on three different occasions and that he recently came out of prison over a murder related case.

On interrogation, he admitted being the leader of the Eiye cult group in Ikenne and its environ, he equally confessed being responsible for the killing of one Kabiru who he claimed to be a member of a rival cult group. His arrest has elicited wild jubilation in Ikenne and its environs.”

A Nigerian lady is going viral on social media after she was filmed shedding ‘hot tears’ when she finally got to meet Nigerian Singer, Mayorkun.

The lady was so determined to meet the singer one on one, that she burst into tears when she was by his car window and then proceeded to mount a road block and so Mayorkun, seeing her determination , decided to let her sit by him in the car.

She was super elated and could not hold back tears and she could be heard saying ;

American business magnate, Bill Gates has revealed his foundation and that of his friend and Nigerian Billionaire Aliko Dangote are working together to improve malnutrition in Nigeria, which could also have an impact on all of Africa.

The Microsoft founder made this known via his Instagram page, and also disclose that both of them have a lot in common as successful business men.

Sharing this photo of them posing together, Bill Gates wrote,

‘Aliko Dangote and I have a lot in common. We both started successful businesses in the late 1970s, and for our second act in life, we both chose to start foundations.
