A Nigerian police officer has been dismissed for stealing a TV set and a pair of shoes.
The dismissed police officer was attached the Jigawa State Police Command and is said to be the son of a retired police officer was identified as Abdullahi Yusuf.

Jigawa State Police commissioner, Bala Senchi confirmed the dismissal of the officer who he said has been stealing since he joined the police force.
Confirming the dismissal, Bala said ;
“A policeman is expected to be of good characters and morals, that’s why he’s entrusted to protect the lives and properties of the people. The command would not spare any officer found tarnishing the good image of the organization.”

Nigerian ace comedian, Okey Bakassi, has given his two cents on what he thinks about the way things are done in the ongoing Big Brother Naija show.
Okey Bakassi who took to Instagram to lament the eviction of ‘smart and intelligent’ housemates in the reality show.
The comedian criticized the choice of Nigerians in voting for housemates, adding that their decisions showed how Nigerians select their leaders.
Bakassi said:
“The Big Brother eviction show is a reflection of the society, shows that smart, intelligent, stupid, docile human beings can coexist.
“It tells you about politics and how people vote in Nigeria. Most times you think the smart ones, intelligent ones will be the ones to win but they get to leave the reality show while the stupid ones have a way of hanging around for too long even when you don’t like them; that is the reality.

Big Brother Naija housemate, Ike had a mild drama in the house today after his love interest, Mercy moved his belongings. According to Ike, the way Mercy touches his stuff especially his Coins showed zero respect on her part.

Lizzy Anjorin mocked Toyin Abraham with a dance video attached to an Instagram post she shared in reaction to legal papers she was served over an alleged defamation by her colleague.
Earlier today, Toyin Abraham demanded that Lizzy Anjorin apologizes on Instagram and also abide by a Cease and Desist on defamatory posts against her person, stated that silence is not golden and it is quite ideal to let a pig know that it belongs in the pen rather than wrestle with it.
Toyin also warned that the legal action in which she will be seeking N500m as damages will commence in 24 hours if Lizzy Anjorin fails to comply with the notice.
However reacting after she was served the legal papers, Lizzy Anjorin poked fun at Toyin Abraham with the “name of the letter” alongside a dance video.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan zonal office, has arrested one Kehinde Olumide Agbabiaka, a sales agent of Fidelity Bank Plc.
According to a statement from the EFCC, Agbabiaka’s arrest was sequel to a apetition jointly penned by the bank’s Regional Security Officer and the Cluster Control and Compliance Manager, in which it was alleged that the suspect suppressed, diverted and stole a total sum of N137,000,000 (One Hundred and Thirty-Seven Million Naira) from personal and corporate accounts of a customer in Ibadan.
Filed on August 20, 2019, the petition alleged that Agbabiaka committed the offence between January 2017 and July 2019.
The suspect, who was the account officer attached to the customer, was said to be visiting the business premises of the victim weekly to collect cash with the understanding that he would remit same to his accounts domiciled in the bank’s Challenge, Ibadan branch.
But, instead of depositing the money, Agbabiaka was said to have at different times remitted only a portion and on many occasions diverted the whole sum to personal use.
In order to cover his criminal acts, the suspect, according to the petition, would rather issue fictitious bank slips to deceive the customer that he truly deposited the sums.
This continued until the customer reviewed the statement of his account and reconciled same with the cash collection register. It was then they discovered Agbabiaka’s fraudulent deeds, prompting the bank to put up the petition. So far, the EFCC investigators have established a prima facie case of diversion and stealing against the suspect.
Further investigations also revealed that he had used the suppressed sums to build houses, purchase cars, invest in fixed deposits and insurance policies. He also gave part of the loot to people as friendly loans. Some of the items have been recovered and registered as exhibits.
The antigraft agency says he will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
