Embattled singer, Naira Marley‘s management has given yet another update over his release as he remains in custody.
Updating his fans and followers via his Instastories, his management stated that the singer is still in the Ikoyi Prison as the EFCC is yet to confirm the sureties.
About a week ago, the singer’s management reacted to claims of the singer still being in prison over his inability to find a Level 10 civil servant.
They stated then that the sureties were ready the day he was granted bail and all they are waiting for was operatives of the EFCC to confirm the addresses of the sureties.
About a week later, the EFCC is still yet to verify the address of his sureties and he still remains in custody.
Veteran Nollywood actress, Omotola-Jalade Ekehinde has pointed out, for people to understand, that marriage is not the cause of domestic violence, but people are.
She revealed this as she countered media personality, Daddy Freeze’s recent IG post, advising women that being called a “Living miss is better than a dead Mrs”.

Noah Tindle, a one month old baby has been left to fight for his life after he contracted herpes in his eye after being kissed at a christening in the U.K.
Noah and his 21-year-old mother, Ashleigh White, had attended a christening in September 2018, when he was a newborn. He was passed around to multiple relatives and friends, who were all kissing and hugging him, White told Caters News Agency.
“About a week later, his eye started going a little bit red. It started swelling and getting blisters, so we ended up taking him to the doctors,” White said.
He was later diagnosed with Herpes simplex virus 1 (HSV-1), which is known as the “kiss of death,” which almost caused him to lose sight in one eye.

On Wednesday, the State Security Service announced a nationwide crackdown on individuals allegedly caught posting inciting materials on the Internet.
The SSS said it had recently observed that some social media users were distorting Nigeria’s history to promote ethnic violence and tip the nation into crisis, a development it said must be urgently reversed through state interference.
SSS spokesperson, Peter Afunanya, said in a statement said that some “unpatriotic” Nigerians have been using social media platforms to make “unguarded public statements and/or use the social media platforms to instil fear in the minds of citizens”.
“These are reflected in the misleading statements and articles being circulated among unsuspecting members of the public. Such inciting materials oftentimes are designed to make or convey false accusations by one group against the other. They also resort to skewing historical narratives to suit their objective of masterminding ethnic violence in the nation. So far, some of the culprits have been arrested,” Afunanya said.
The SSS said it was “determined to ensure that the tribal chauvinists and mischief makers do not continue to exploit socio-political differences and Internet platforms to threaten the peace and stability of the country.” The service said regional and community elders should not only desist from making “unguarded statements” but also help shut down all ethnically-charged rhetoric by persons in their respective domains.
The SSS vowed to “sustain the apprehension and prosecution of defaulters,” because it would not relent in its quest to prevent crimes and keep Nigeria as an indivisible country.
This is sad!!! A businesswoman, identified as Abimbola Ayanwale, has been killed in Lagos by some yet-to-be identified persons.
According to one of her friends, the deceased had stepped out immediately after receiving a call around 8pm on Monday, June 10, 2019.
However, barely two hours later, the CCTV of a shop close to the Maryland Mall captured the moment her body was thrown out of a Danfo bus.
The friend said they believe she was intentionally murdered by someone that knew her, because none of her valuables was stolen, neither was any of her body parts missing.
The source revealed that her hands and legs were tied up, and she was shot before being thrown out of the bus. Her family members are now calling on the police to thoroughly investigate the matter.

President Buhari yesterday said his administration has brought Nigeria back to its feet through its change agenda.
The President who came into office in 2015 after the 16-year rule of the PDP, stated this when he spoke at the inaugural celebration of June 12 as the Democracy Day at the Eagle Square, Abuja.
He said
“In my first term, we put Nigeria back on its feet. We are working again despite a difficult environment in oil on which we depend too much for our exports. We encountered huge resistance from vested interests who do not want Change, But Change has come, we now must move to the Next Level. By the Grace of God, I intend to keep the oath I have made today and to serve as President for all Nigerians.”
According to the President, he respects the independence of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and ensured that the last general elections were the free, fair and peaceful.
“Throughout the last four years, I respected the independence of INEC. I ensured that INEC got all the resources it needed for independent and impartial management of elections in the country. All interested parties are agreed that the recent elections, which except for pockets of unrest, were free, fair and peaceful. I thank all the people who worked for our party, who campaigned and who voted for us. I thank my fellow Nigerians, who, since 2003 have consistently voted for me. Victory is your greatest reward; peace, unity and greater prosperity will be our collective legacy.” he said
The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) has banned Kano Pillars captain Rabiu Ali for 12 league games for igniting match violence after Monday’s NPFL Championship Playoff match between Kano Pillars and Rangers International of Enugu at Agege Township Stadium.
The football governing body also fined Kano Pillars N8m, and ordered the club to play their next three home games behind closed doors and with a suspended 3-point deduction.
Ali is being punished for his role in the match violence. After the match, the Kano Pillars captain confronted the referee Adebimpe Quadri for awarding an equalizing penalty to the opponent club.
The confrontation led to a violent scene, with Kano Pillars’ fans invading the field with objects in an attempt to attack the referee who took to his heels. Watch the video here.
According to an official statement issued by the LMC on Wednesday, Ali was charged for accosting the referee and in so doing, incited others to commit acts of violence and misconduct in breach of Rule C1.3.

A man and a school girl were busted inside a lodge in Kitengela, south of Nairobi, Kenya.
The 17-year-old girl, who is a Form Three student, was supposedly heading home for the mid-term break.
The man is said to have booked the lodging room in the morning and later returned with the girl who was still in her school uniform.
The lodge attendants promptly alerted the police who arrived at the scene and nabbed the couple.
Identified as Patrick Waweru, the man owned up to his actions saying that the school girl had consented to their plans.
“We had agreed and she (the school girl) said we could go to a lodge with me. When the police stormed in we were still talking and nothing had happened,” the man said.
Police officers had a hectic time controlling a huge crowd which had gathered outside the lodge to get a glimpse of the man and the school girl.
Residents condemned the incident calling on the police to take action on the suspect. The two were taken to the nearby Kitengela Police Station.
The long arms of the law has finally gripped a priest in the Methodist Church, identified as Rev. Peter Adegoke Adewuyi for faking his own kidnap with the intention of making his church members and other concerned individuals pay a ransom.
The Ekiti State Police Command who effected his arrest, also picked up one Sunday Oluwadare Adewole who was helping the priest in making calls to unsuspecting members of the public to demand ransom.
The culprit, who is 31-year-old was said to have perfected his evil plans by lodging in a hotel in Ado-Ekiti and hid from public view from where he and his accomplice were making calls to the members of the public to pay ransom for his release.
He claimed that his ‘captors’ demanded N3 million ‘ransom’ before he could regain his freedom. The development reportedly threw his church into confusion with members raising cash to pay the ransom for what turned out to be fake kidnap saga.
The phoney kidnap stunt was busted by the Police who intercepted and arrested the holder of the phone with GSM Number: 09078589516, with which the N3 million ransom was being demanded.
Unknown to the priest, he was being tracked to a location near First Bank in Okeyinmi area of Ado Ekiti, where he went to pick the ransom. While being interrogated by the Police, Adewuyi confessed to have masterminded his own ‘kidnap.
The priest also confessed that he lodged at a hotel during the period of his self enforced disappearance from the public.
The two suspects are presently being detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) of the State Police Headquarters.
A Nigerian man has openly come out of the closet. The Twitter user with the handle @tiwadidthat is awaiting reply from his parents after he disclosed to them via ‘Whatsapp’ that he is a proud gay.
The young man also stated that he doesn’t mind getting disowned by his parents.

Police in Mukono, Uganda have arrested a woman accused of forcefully feeding her teenage step daughter food mixed with her menstrual blood.
Annet Namata’s husband, Unusu Lungu in an interview with Observer, revealed that he learnt about the shocking incident from his neighbours who intervened to save the teenager’s life when they saw her vomiting on the veranda after the suspect had left to go and trap grasshoppers.
He says the curious residents asked the teenager what had happened but she couldn’t speak and instead pointed at a plate of food inside the sitting room. The irritated residents notified Lungu after giving the teenager hot water to wash her mouth, garlic and charcoal powder to swallow.
Lungu says he couldn’t withhold his anger and attacked Namata at her workplace. She reportedly confessed and blamed the girl, saying that she removed the blood from a bucket and mixed it with her food. According to Lungu, the suspect fled into hiding when he left to report the matter to local authorities.
“She mixed the blood with the sauce made of eggplants. She forced the teenager to eat it threatening her that she would strangle her and vanish. So I asked her to eat the food herself and that is when she confessed and said that indeed the food contained menstrual blood. But she blamed the daughter as the one who went and removed the blood from her knickers and added it to the food so she could be blamed.” said Lungu.
The village council leaders thereafter sweet-talked Namata on phone and convinced her to return for mediation. Sarah Namawejje, the Women LC I representative says Namata pleaded guilty to the accusations and asked for forgiveness.
She claimed that she was ill advised by her friends to feed the minor with menstrual blood so as to turn her into a lunatic. Namata claimed that she felt infuriated because of the preferential care that her husband was giving to the teenager.
Namwejje says that the case weighed heavily on the Village Women Council, which prompted them to handover the suspect to police.
“She told me that her husband ‘loved his daughter so much to the point of even beating me in case I annoyed her. Every nice thing my husband was giving it to her.’ I asked if indeed it is true that she gave her step daughter menstrual blood? She admitted and said ‘yes’ and that she had contacted a friend who advised her to give the teenager blood so she could become mad. She asked for forgiveness from the husband and the council.” said Namwejje.
Rogers Sseguya, the Mukono district police commander, says they have handed over the matter to the child and family protection unit, which is also ensuring sufficient care for the teenager to recover psychologically from this trauma.
A man is currently nursing unwanted bruises as a result of his high libido which led him to try to get in bed with his brother’s wife. He was however caught and was flogged without mercy.
The man was heard screaming and begging in pain as he was been beaten.

Following his arrest in Florida on Monday, Jason Lindsey told the police that his wife, Tynell, confronted him because she found a condom in his vehicle and she suspected he was cheating. .

Tynell reportedly grabbed a knife during the argument and scratched her husband’s face with her nails.
Jason said he wrestled the knife away from her then said he “kinda lost it” and began choking her with one hand while stabbing her with the other, according to the affidavit.
Tynell’s 8-year-old son heard her screaming, came into the master bedroom and witnessed the attack, the report said. The boy eventually called 911.
Jason claimed he was defending himself, telling deputies that Tynell had attacked him with a knife in the past.

A 29-year-old student of Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Birnin-Kebbi, and resident of Badariya area identified as Solomon Benedict, has committed suicide over his financial plight.
According to reports, Benedict allegedly mixed some substances believed to be insecticide with yogurt and drank it. His friends were unable to rescue him until his condition became worse.
Speaking with newsmen on Tuesday, one of his friends said:
“We noticed he was no longer at ease. He was holding his tummy and we later learnt that he pour some insecticide into his drink. He died before we could stop him.”
It was gathered that Solomon died as his friends were rushing him to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
A female friend of the deceased in Jega town, also said
“For some time now, he had been telling me he would kill himself if his financial situation did not improve. But I never believed he meant it. I remember whenever he visited me at Jega, he always lamented over his financial predicament and I would give him some money to transport himself back to Birnin Kebbi and thereafter he would tell me he would kill himself one day if his situation failed to improve. I was shocked when a friend called me from Sokoto that Solomon had killed himself.”
Kebbi State Police Command Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Nafiu Abubakar, confirmed the incident to newsmen on Tuesday
“Yes, we are aware of the incident. The boy was 29 years old. He committed suicide at Badariya area of Birnin Kebbi” he said.
Meanwhile, a friend, James Peters took to Facebook to mourn the deceased. He wrote:
“God!!!!!! This life is very short… We can’t ask God why, You re the all knowing God, you knw best, only You Lord knw wat he was passing through. We beseech dat lord u have mercy on his soul, plz don’t look at the wrongs he has Don whole still on earth….
