A 33-year-old graduate of Geology and Mining from the University of Jos (UNIJOS) and construction worker, Oladipo Oyefemi, has been arrested for allegedly killing a 24-year-old hooker, Patience Musa.
According to reports, Oyefemi picked Patience at the West of Mines area of Jos, around midnight on May 31, 2019, allegedly for a night of fun, with an agreement to pay her N3,000 for the night.
Oyefemi, however, allegedly killed the woman while she was in his apartment and tried to dump her body. He was, however, sighted by local vigilantes and arrested.
The family lawyer of the deceased, Mr. Ralph Monye, disclosed that the corpse of Patience showed that she was stabbed on her breasts, heart, neck regions and other parts.
He added that the marks on her neck suggested she was strangled. The suspect hasn’t given any reason for his action.

Controversial journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has labeled as lies reports which say singer Naira Marley is still in custody because he couldn’t find sureties to stand for his bail.
According to Kemi Olunloyo who has also been in similar situation as the singer, it can take weeks before authorities verify the sureties presented, which Naira Marley’s management reveal are already on ground.

A final year Accounting student of the Ekiti State University has attempted taking his own life after he failed a course in his exams.
It was reported that the department suffered a mass failure in that particular course which left alot of the students upset.

TV producer and music artiste, Valentine Obilor, has shared the unpleasant encounter he had with some SARS officers in Lagos state over the weekend.
In a series of videos shared on his Instagram page, Valentine shared how he was accosted by the SARS officers along Badore road in Ajah at about 12:00am and how they questioned him over where he was going to.
Despite informing them he was on his way to a friend’s house for a recording session, the SARS officers demanded to see his phone which he refused. They used their guns to hit him, beat him up, fractured his hand and accused him of being a Yahoo boy.
According to Valentine, the SARS officers said he must be a Yahoo Yahoo boy for wearing dreadlocks. An obviously enraged Valentine wrote,

Police in Anambra State said they have arrested the suspected murderer of Chinasa Pauline Agbata, a female student of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
The police spokesperson, Haruna Mohammed, who confirmed this in a statement in Awka, said the suspect, Onudili Sontochukwu, was apprehended following discreet investigation.
He said, “It would be recalled that on the 20/3/2019, one Chinasa Pauline Agbata ‘f’, student of UNIZIK, was murdered and dumped at the school gate same date at about 7:30pm.
“Following the incident, Police detectives attached to the Command Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) launched aggressive manhunt of perpetrators and arrested one Onudili Sontochukwu ‘m’ aged 25years on the 2/6/2019.”
He said the suspect was assisting the Police with useful information that could help in unravelling circumstances surrounding the incident.
Mohammed also confirmed the arrest of two persons for allegedly abducting two undergraduate students in the state.
He said the victims, students of Anambra State university Igbariam and Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, respectively were later released by the suspects after collecting ransom.
He said, “On the 3/6/2019 at about 5:15 pm, Police detectives attached to the Command Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) arrested at Osisioma Aba in Abia State, one Kingsley Ugorji ‘m’ aged 33 years and Joseph Darlington ‘m’ aged 25 years following discrete investigation.
“Suspects who specialize in abducting university students using various tricks allegedly conspired and kidnapped one Obinna favour ‘m’ aged 18 years on 27/5/2019 and equally kidnapped one Amakaeze Luke ‘m’ aged 22 years on the 31/5/2019.”
The police spokesperson hinted that exhibits recovered from the suspects included three handsets belonging to the victims, adding that the case was being investigated.

A lady sadly lost her life while she was giving birth to her child recently – the lady, identified simply as Elizabeth has taken pre-delivery pictures and was eager to share them to the world after she delivered but unfortunately, she didn’t.
Before she died, Elizabeth took some pictures showing her heavily pregnant and begged that the pictures should not be deleted because she has plans to upload them to Facebook when she has delivered.
Elizabeth’s last words,
“Don’t delete those pictures, When I’m through with this pregnancy I’ll post them on Facebook, I am not there for now until I’m delivered of my baby.”
Sadly, Elizabeth died while giving birth to a bouncing baby girl. The pictures which she planned to upload on Facebook were later shared on the social media platform by a user who wrote:
“I just posted the pictures now you have given birth to your bouncing baby girl, the difference is that it’s not you, but at least it’s now on social media.
It’s over eight days now and your daughter can see clearly, she saw me this morning Elizabeth”.

The singer who was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and detained for alleged criminal offences, including internet fraud, and was granted bail days ago is still in prison custody.. and the reason is shocking.
According to unconfirmed reports, the singer whose fans declared May 30th – The day he was granted bail, as “Naira Marley Day” is yet to be released because “No Lagos state Level 10 and above civil service officer with landed properties has agreed to stand as surety for him, due to his alleged criminal records.”
Recall that the EFCC announced that evidence against him is overwhelming.
He was arrested alongside Zlatan Ibile, Rahman Jago and five others who have all been granted bail.
GTBank, Mastercard, Visa Inc representatives to testify against Naira Marley
Naira Marley’s bail was set to two million on the 30th of May, after a Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos granted him bail at his bail hearing yesterday, 30th of Mary 2019.
The ruling judge, Justice Nicholas Onweibo imposed on the artiste a N2 million bail, with two sureties in like sum. The first surety must be a civil servant from the level of grade 10, while the second surety must have landed property.
The Trial has been adjourned to October 22-24 and PUNCH is reporting that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is set to present about nine witnesses in its case against the musician.
Court documents which were obtained by the correspondent of the reputable newspaper, reveal that the witnesses will give evidence of their investigation and tender exhibits, as well as reveal their findings to the court.
Some of the witnesses are believed to be GTbank, Mastercard, Visa Inc.. and they are expected to tender relevant card and account details of the defendant to the court.
Naira Marley was picked up by the commission on the 10th of May at 9 Gbangbala Street, Ikate, Lekki, Lagos, alongside Omoniiyi Temidayo, popularly known as Zlatan Ibile and three others, with the latter been granted bail 4 days later.
After Marley’s arrest, the commission filed 11 charges against the singer bordering on alleged cybercrime and identity theft.
The alleged crimes were in contravention of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act and the Cyber Crimes Act, which the artiste risks seven years in jail if found guilty.
Section 33 (2) of the Act, which Naira Marley was accused of contravening reads, “Any person who uses: a counterfeit access device; an unauthorised access device; an access device issued to another person; resulting in a loss or gain commits an offence and shall be liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term of not more than seven years or a fine of not more than N5,000,000.00 and forfeiture of the advantage or value derived from his act.”
