Beverly Naya, has revealed that she was mocked and bullied for her dark skin, as she hinted at discrimination in the industry.
Beverly made this known as she opened up on her own experience while shooting her new documentary ‘Skin’.
Beverly Naya said she’s still in shock from what she gathered from some Nigerians, most especially, controversial crossdresser, Bobrisky while researching the documentary.
While recounting how she was mocked and bullied over her dark skin, she said, she is just contributing her own best to stop it. The actress said;
“As an industry, we need to diversify. As a person, I need to impact on people. I grew up in very difficult situation. I was bullied and mocked for my skin. Same problem is trending and I have to contribute my best to stop it.
“I interviewed about 30 people, including Bobrisky, for this project and I had the opportunity to travel to my home town, Delta, for the first time. I aim at being Nigeria’s prolific documentary expert.”

‘I didn’t mention Cristiano because I put him aside from the list with me.’

Daddy Freeze unleashed his savage self on singer, Waconzy after the latter took to his IG page to drag the media personality and leader of the Free my Sheeply movement before calling him a demon.
Waconzy had written,
“As Christians, one of our basic duty is to protect the body of Christ (the church). We must not let demons make jokes with our God. This foolish man @daddyfreeze is trying to do a harm to the church that i protect. No way ! Never ! @waconzyis here !!”.
Responding to the jab, Freeze shared a screenshot of Waconzy’s post and blasted the singer in return, writing,
Dear Wack-onzy, why don’t you concentrate on protecting your seemingly insentient career, the body of Christ will be fine.
–
Your post appears to be an an odd in-between compromise, between fighting for the church and fighting for attention, which lends no cohesiveness to sound doctrine, rather it serves to endorse the majesty of your unscholarliness.

Prince Chizemdere Ezuma, the founder of Jesus Intervention Household Ministry, Ejigbo, Lagos, has been arrested for allegedly sodomising, prostituting and infecting underage boys with HIV virus, The Nation reports.
According to the report, he was arrested at his residence after an informant notified the police he had resurfaced, three months after he was declared wanted.
It was gathered that the suspect climbed his ceiling where he hid for over two hours to evade arrest when detectives stormed his home few days ago.
The suspect was declared wanted after an alleged male prostitute, Prince Chinecherem, was arrested and charged to court after a 16-year-old victim, Anthony Ikem, made revelations that implicated them.
Ikem, who was found sneaking out of the suspect’s home with a polythene bag containing used condoms and other items, was accosted by neighbours and he confessed he was one of several sex partners of the pastor.
Ikem also confirmed that the Ezuma usually gave them to service some of his male clients including VIPs. The teenager was taken to the hospital for checks and it was discovered he was HIV+.
It was gathered that some residents of the community were worried he was corrupting their male children and initiating them into the club, hence, their keen interest to see that he was arrested and prosecuted.
Findings revealed that Ezuma was moved to the Gender Section at the Police Command Ikeja, yesterday afternoon, following pressure from certain quarters in the division to release him.
In his confessional statement to the police, Ezuma claimed he usually paid the boys N2,000 for sex. Investigation showed that he brought about 15 boys into his apartment where he forcefully penetrated them all through the anus.
“The reverend confirmed he is HIV+ and has been receiving treatment for over three years. So, he knew he was HIV positive and still infected his victims and clients with it,” said a source.
It was just another random day on Instagram and quite busty Nollywood actress, Cossy Ojiakor decided to tease her fans with a rather raunchy post on her page which she captioned,
Hahahha am proud of my flaws …. I am #ageless … #timeless am just a little girl trying to have fun…. I may be 50 sometime … seventy something but in my heart am just 20 something ….#bootyclap on point….pls love me just this way
Upon seeing her post, mother of one and born again Christian, Tonto Dikeh decided to let her know that she sees Cossy doing the work of God and winning souls for Him.
According to Tonto, she says that though she’s seen that Cossy still has a long way ahead, she’s sure that the latter will souls for God.
Tonto wrote,
Dunno why I always see you winning souls for God, it may seem like a very long way ahead but Cossy I believe so much in God and in you!! YOU WILL SAVE SOULS AND I WILL REMEMBER THIS DAY AND SMILE COS I HAVE SEEN IT!! Love you and I am soooo proud of you now and will be when GOD USES YOU!!
Seems Cossy wasn’t buying the whole preaching thingy and so in response, she clears Tonto by telling her that she too is born again and she should channel her preaching to her she-male friend and of course, we sure know who Cossy was referring to.
Some Nigerian netizens are currently having a heated debate online after a video of a Lagos-based Pastor, Kingsley Okonkwo, admonishing men against sex before marriage, surfaced online.
In the video, the pastor who recently had a spat with singer, Simi over his stance on women and marriage, said men should stay off premarital sex as it ends up destroying their destinies.
”Dear single man, please don’t fall for the trick that men can live anyhow, it is women that should keep themselves. Sexual immorality destroys destiny. All the grace of God in your life that you should have been using to gain mileage and make progress, you are emptying it on top of a woman. Sexual Immorality will reduce a man to a piece of Bread, it is taking the glory over your life. You will never become what you are meant to be if you have no self control. You think you are the one using women? You say to I have slept with many girls. If only God can open your eyes to see how you are ”uselessing” your destiny There is life flowing from you whenever you are sleeping with somebody you are not married to. It drains you, deadens the sensitivity of your spirit. Adultery stays in family except it is uprooted. You are just passing problems to your children” the pastor said
As some Nigerians are feeling rather indifferent about the message, some others support the pastor’s message and some others are of the opinion that sex doesn’t affect destinies.

A six-year-old South African lass is currently lying in the hospital after a rottweiler viciously attacked her while she was out with her mother in Pretoria.
Her mum, Jessica Delport, had gone to Pretoria to sign a contract and collect the keys to new apartment she had just rented.
When they arrived at the apartment, Delport and her eldest daughter stepped out of the car and there was a rottweiler which the owner of the house told them was a friendly dog and there was no need to fear.
“It came near us, to smell our scent and did not do anything weird. I went into the house with my eldest daughter to sign the contract and I got the keys. When I returned to the car and opened my passenger door the dog just went into the back of the car where my other daughter was.” Jessica said
Six-year-old Caylee was sitting in her car seat, playing a game on a phone.
“She didn’t talk or move and the dog started smelling her face, which made me uncomfortable, but I thought this dog just wants to smell her like he did with us then get out of the car. And the next moment she started crying that the dog was biting her. She started screaming and I saw the dog had my daughter’s arm in his mouth. I got on top of the dog and wrapped my legs around him, putting my hands into his mouth, to pry his jaws open.
“I even have stitches on my fingers from trying to open his mouth, the teeth just sunk into my fingers and I eventually got him loose from my daughter.” Jessica
Delport sustained puncture wounds on her arm and under her arm close to the lungs.
“The old man grabbed my daughter and tried to run to safety, but as soon he tried to run, the dog slipped from my grip and got hold of my daughter’s leg. The dog shredded her leg, we couldn’t get it to leave her, it was just terrible.”
She said the owner of the dog was not available.
“He is in Canada and it is a complex and the dog was running free and just attacked my daughter unprovoked. He pulled my daughter from the car seat, that’s how strong the dog was and he just kept going for her.”
Delport said her daughter was in theatre for operations and had to have 150 stitches. She had 16 puncture wounds but is recovering well.
“We haven’t seen her legs and the stitches but it was a nightmare and it still is. If I close my eyes I see it happening all over again, I see my daughter and me trying to get this dog away from her and I just see her arm being crushed by this dog. I can’t even sleep. I haven’t slept in three days because I have those pictures in my head, the cuts, the bruises … and it’s costing us,” an emotional Delport said.
Last week, activist and leader of the Joint Legal Action Aids JLAA, Kingsley Ughe, shared the story of a Nigerian man, Olatunji Olaide, who was in prison for 24 years for a crime he did not commit.
Another NGO, Legal Defence and Assistance Project – (LEDAP), has now released a statement revealing that Mr Olaide died in 2012 shortly after he was released and that no one should make any cash donations on his behalf.
Read the statement below,
LEDAP CALLS ON THE GENERAL PUBLIC TO DESIST FROM MAKING DONATIONS TO ANY ORGANIZATION ON BEHALF OF OLATUNJI OLAIDE
Our attention has been drawn to the fraudulent reports circulating on social media platforms requesting for cash donations from the members of the public to assist Olatunji Olaide who spent twenty four years in prison for an offence he never committed. We were also notified that one Mr. Kingsley Ughe, the Chief Lawyer of Joint Legal Action Aid claimed to have represented Mr. Olatunji Olaide at the Court of Appeal on his conviction for murder. This information is a gross misrepresentation of facts.
Late Olatunji Olaide was convicted by Honourable Justice A. O. Silvia of the Lagos State High Court on February 15, 1995 for murder. Legal Defence and Assistance Project- LEDAP solely handled Olatunji’s case on pro bono basis and secured his release on the 5th of June, 2012 , after the Court of Appeal discharged and acquitted him of murder after spending twenty-four years on death row. Late Olatunji was one of the longest serving prisoners at Maximum Security Prison, Kirikiri, Lagos. Following his release from prison custody, his original interview with LEDAP was published on our website at http://ledapnigeria.org/bn-at-6-our-stories-our-miracles-sentenced-to-death-an-innocent-man-steps-out-after-24-years-in-prison-olatunji-olaide-shares-his-story-of-survival-freedom-hope/ . LEDAP has no link whatsoever with the said Mr. Kingsley Ughe, the Chief Lawyer of Joint Legal Action Aid (JLAA). He never represented the late Olatunji Olaide in the Appeal Court.
LEDAP hereby calls the general public to desist from making any donation to any purported organization on behalf of Olatunji Olaide who died shortly after he was released from prison custody in 2012 and to report any further fraudulent requests for donations to the Nigeria Police.
LEDAP is an non-governmental organization of lawyers and law professionals, engaged in promotion and protection of human rights, access to justice and good governance. LEDAP offers free legal representation to indigent persons in prison. For more information on LEDAP, please visit our website, www.ledapnigeria.org

Back in 1988
I trained as a photographer but back in the 80s I didn’t have enough photography work to sustain me so I worked with my father who traded in cattle. My father was an old man so I joined him and I used to go to the bush to buy the animals. I was married with two sons. That year, as the time for the Ileya Festival drew closer, we were going to supply some companies with cattle so I had to go and buy them from Niger state. He listed all the things that I was going to buy – cows, rams and goats. I left Lagos on the 30th of May, 1988 to Gwari in Niger state. I had to go inside the bush to select the animals I wanted so that I would get a trailer to convey them to Lagos.
The Arrest
Because of the language barrier, I needed an interpreter for the negotiations. We were in the bush when some policemen came and asked me if I was a visitor. I said yes, I was a visitor that I had been coming to the village for many years. The man said they were looking for people who ran into the bush. I said I didn’t know anything about it that I was selecting rams there. Then they arrested me and took me to the police station even though the interpreter told them I had been coming to the village for some time. The next day, the 1st of June, they said the case could not be handled at that station and it was transferred to the State CID at Niger. From there they transferred me to Ilorin in Kwara state. All the while, I never knew what they were accusing me of. After a week, some policemen came from Lagos, they said they were from the Anti-Terrorsist squad and they conveyed me and some people that were arrested with me to Lagos. I was with N325,000 cash which I wanted to use to buy cows at Niger. The money followed me up to Ilorin but when we got to Lagos, I didn’t hear anything about the money again. The Police men did not give me or my family members.
Pain, Torture & Court Trial
They took me to Adeniji Adele Police Station, Lagos. That was when they started giving me hell. They hung me, beat and tortured me. That was the day I knew they were accusing me of murder. They said somebody was killed in Lagos and his car was snatched and they later found the car around the village where I was in Gwari. The policemen said the people fled into the bush that was why they were looking for visitors around that area. All the while I had no idea why I had been arrested. The confessional statement in my case file, they wrote it themselves and forced me to sign. After that they transferred me to Ikoyi Prison and that was where they resumed another round of torture. I spent almost 9 months there before they took me to court with four other men. I didn’t even know those men. They charged us all for conspiracy to murder. My lawyer told me to plead ‘Not Guilty’ so I did and from there they took me to Kirikiri Medium Security Prison.
Sentence to death
Four months later, they said we had a case to answer at Apapa Court. After reading the charges, they took us back to Ikoyi Prisons. The trial started in 1989 and it ran on for 6 years. On February 15, 1995, Justice Da Silva sentenced me to death. I told the judge that day, “You have condemned me, but God did not condemn me.” My Mum, my Dad, my children and family members were in the court that day. I was transferred to the Kirikiri Maximum Security Prison.
Life as a Man sentenced to death
They put me in a condemned cell. It was hell on earth. They kept 9 of us in a very small room. That was where we took our bath, ate, slept, defecated and eased ourselves. There were no beds. Who would give us beds? By law, they don’t let any condemned man come out. But sometimes, they let us out for about one hour in a day. Life in the prison was very rough. There, I hardly slept. The prison authorities gave us food but not good food.
In the condemned prisoners cell, you wouldn’t know which day they will call you and just execute you. In 1996, I can’t remember the date, we were 9 in the cell. They took 8 of them out, they never brought them back. When they call your name like that, you know what will happen. They executed all of them.
Communication with the Outside World
Then, when we want to communicate with our family or our lawyers, we go to the welfare unit and write a letter. We must wear our blue uniform and they’ll put handcuffs and chains on our legs. Any time we wanted to come out to welfare, or clinic or for visitation, they’ll put the handcuffs on us. That was until 2002 when we protested and they stopped it.
I have been hearing of what has been happening in Nigeria. I have been hearing of Boko Haram, of Obasanjo, of Goodluck Jonathan. All the information we have there is carried over information, you can’t get the exact information. It is what they say to us that we will believe.
My brothers used to visit me. My parents died when I was in prison and they told me. I felt bad but I could not do anything. I just prayed to God not to let me die in prison.
Around the millennium time, my family members brought a phone to me at the prison but it was not approved. I had to sneak it in and we hide to use it. If the prison wardens catch anyone with a phone, they will send the person to prison inside prison. Real torture.
Bad Eye
One day, something flew into my eye, maybe an insect or something. At the prison, there was no good treatment, no specialist there to treat us. My family members couldn’t do more than buy me drugs but I did not see any doctor for my eye. It got badly infected and that’s how it got to its current state.
Wife and Children
As a young woman, if my wife was my sister, I would have even advised her to marry someone else because no one knew when I was going to come out. I won’t advice my sister to wait for a man who doesn’t have hope of coming out. She has married again and I don’t feel bad about it. My children used to come once in a while but they don’t really know me. Now that I am out, they will know me better.
What Kept Me Going
My biggest encouragements there were the Christian brothers. They were very good to me. They took care of us, especially the Catholics. They didn’t want to know whether you are an idol worshipper or whatever, they will just embrace you. I’m very close to the church now. When God does something for you, you just have to give thanks to God.
How I Got Out of Prison
I thank God for Pastor Ariyo Popoola. He had been coming to prison for a very long time. He used to come and talk to us, preach to us, tell us that this is not the end of life and that we could become something in future. At that time, so many lawyers had duped my family, collected money and just dropped my case. One day in 2005, he came to me and said he wanted to take up my case. Then, they used to call me Mr. No Hope. I didn’t believe him, I said he should go. He came back again after some months and said he wants to take my case. I said “is it by force, I won’t give my case to you”. But somebody encouraged me telling me that afterall, he was not asking me for money or anything like that. He introduced me to Chino Obiagwu, the Executive Director of LEDAP. When I met Mr. Obigwu, the first thing he said to me was “My friend, I am taking up your case and I’m going to win that case. Are you ready to sign for me?” I said I will not sign with biro, I will use thumbprint. Then he said “I will give you a warning. Don’t call me, don’t send anybody to me. Are you going to have patience?” I said, “Is it me that you are talking to about patience?”
The Final Appeal
I didn’t even have faith at all. Sometimes, when Pastor Popoola came to prison, I would hide from him. The prisoners don’t go to the Court of Appeal, it is only the lawyers that were representing us. He didn’t even tell me anything and I didn’t bother to ask. Sometimes they were communicating with my family but I didn’t believe anything will happen.
The Call that Changed My Life
On the 5th of June 2012, they called me to come to the Welfare Unit to get the progress of my case. I said I wasn’t not going there. Some people that were sitting with me said I should go but I said I wasn’t going, that they will just be lying to me. Later I called Pastor Popoola. He said “Egbon” (Big brother), I said “wetin be dat” (what is it?). He said “o ti sele o” (It has happened). He said the court of Appeal has let me go. I just started shouting, I didn’t know what to do, how to thank him. I was very happy.
My Perception of the Police, Prison and Nigerian Justice System
The police are bad, they are not doing a good job. They are killing innocent people. Lawyers will collect your money, they will not do any job. If a person has spent 6 years on trial and is sentenced to 15 years, they will not count the years spent on trial, they will just start counting the 15 years from the judgment day.
Justice was not done in my case. Justice is for only people that are rich and it is not supposed to be so. Justice is supposed to be for all Nigerians. The man who calls himself a judge will see the truth and will not even listen. My judge was biased towards me and I don’t know why.
We still have people languishing in that prison. People that have spent 28, 30, 33 years. The government is not doing well. How long will somebody be in prison? Which time will he spend the rest of his life? Let the justice prevail.
People are changing there. A lot of people are becoming born again. Imagine, somebody who did not go to school for his whole life will attend primary school, secondary school and go to Open University there. Let the government come to the aid of these poor men. A 14 year-old boy is in prison there charged for robbery case.
What Freedom Means To Me
Freedom is good. The freedom to be able to walk about, to do the things I want to do by myself. I’m not even used to it yet but it’s very good. I’m breathing different air, eating different food. Just these few days, my system has already changed.
I thank God for Pastor Popoola. God will be with him. I thank God for Chino Obiagwu and LEDAP. He didn’t collect one naira from me, up till today.
Advice to People who find themselves in Similar Situations
The only advice I would give is hold on to God.Be patient and have faith. Let that person be saying to himself, “God if I’m a sinner, forgive me and set me free. Let the people of the world see your glory in me”. It takes a lot of pain, it’s not an easy task for somebody to be in prison.
Looking Ahead
I will still go back to my job. If the Government wants to help me, fine but I believe my family and my children will take me up. I’m very hopeful. The rest of my life is going to be a very good life because I am going to take everything so easy. If it comes, I give thanks to God, if it doesn’t come; I give thanks to God Almighty.

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Bisola Aiyeola has slammed Anto Lecky for claiming the show was scripted by organizers.
Anto had earlier said on twitter that the voting inconsistencies of the Organizers led to her eviction from the 2018 edition of the show.
Making reference to the fact that she was told to act a script the second time she made her way back into the house made her doubt the authenticity of the show’s voting system. Anto Lecky wrote;

Reacting to the claims, Bisola stated that one should not bite the finger that fed him or her, she said;
“So, are they trying to say that the finalists didn’t deserve to make it too the finals??? I personally think they Did and majority of the audience voted Miracle. The Brand has its integrity to protect too and I don’t believe they would tamper with voted etc. They should also not forget, that millions of people would maximize just one week in that house. A 57-year-old mother of four who has slept with 200 toyboys has said that sex with younger men is so good she dates multiple guys at once.
Gaynor Evans who hails from Enfield, London says she began her love affair with younger men after hooking up with a 23-year-old following the divorce of her second husband in 2010.
She got married to her first husband at 18, with whom she had three children with, before divorcing him a decade later.
In 1987, she got re-married to a man ten years younger than her, but that ended in 2010, leaving her single in her mid-forties before switching her attention to younger men.
According to her, toyboys are better in bed, and she never dates men older than 30 as they’re the secret to keeping her young.
Gaynor, an author, and businesswoman said:
“I’m one of the most openly prolific cougars out there.
“I’m not boasting about it and I know it’s not for everyone, but I’m non-repentant.
I make no apologies for being a prolific cougar because it’s a lifestyle choice and one I’m happy with.
“My sexual desire has never waned and I’m dating three men non-exclusively at the moment.”
She also disclosed that she never dates exclusively and can have around three men on the go at one time, but her personality doesn’t suit older men
She said:
“I’m an older woman who has stepped outside convention – I’m very unusual. Although I’m nearly 60, I feel 30.
“I won’t waste time worrying whether people judge me for having great sex with a 25-year-old.
“Older men need looking after, but younger men just enjoy life and don’t have the baggage,” she continued.
“Older men also tend to go for younger women.
“Younger men don’t want mothering despite what people would think – they make you feel in touch with the world.”
Speaking on her failed marriages, the businesswoman said:
“My first husband and I married really young and we didn’t really know what we were doing.
“When I met my second husband I was a single mum with three children and he was a decade younger.
“I was very busy with work and we just drifted apart.
“After being married twice I was launched back into single life. I was disillusioned.
“Being single in my late 40s was a shock, and I decided I had to change the ways I thought about things.
“I was terrified, as an older woman I struggled with my confidence so I reinvented myself.”
While out with her daughters Laura, 38 and Katie, 39, the divorcee said she began to realise she was getting a lot of male attention
“I noticed I started getting approaches from younger guys while I was out with my daughters.
“Initially I thought they were just being polite but then I realised they were interested.
“It was an eye-opener – I couldn’t believe they were flirting with me.
“Eventually, I went for it with a 23-year-old.
“Being intimate with him was a very uplifting experience, he was very adoring and flattering.
“That spurred me on and I went from strength to strength.”
“I have never had a bad experience in bed with a younger man.
“The chemistry is very electric because as an older woman I’m confident – I’ve never been criticised.
“It’s not just about the sex though. It’s so far from that, it’s about the conversation and the rapport. Feelings do get involved.
“I multi-date and I’m not exclusive with men because it would be unrealistic of me to expect the same from them.
“I know people who are 100 per cent faithful, but I think that a man’s natural inclination is to spread his seed.

A 55-year-old woman had to carry her own daughter’s child in her womb and gave birth to her grandchild because her daughter was born without a womb.
Emma Miles, 55, offered to be a surrogate for her daughter Tracey Smith, 31, who was worried she would never have a child of her own due to a birth defect.
At 15 Tracey, who hadn’t started seeing her period, went for a scan and she was told she had been born without a womb but she did have working ovaries and fallopian tubes. At 16, she was diagnosed with MRKH (Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser Syndrome) – a condition that causes the vagina and uterus to be underdeveloped or absent, although external genitalia are normal.
Tracey was devastated when doctors told her that she would never carry her own child. But her mother promised to help her when the time comes.
Years later, Tracey and her husband Adam, 40, began considering fertility treatment and Tracey decided to take her mother up on the offer.
Ms Miles lost so much weight in order to reach a healthy weight to get pregnant with her grandchild and give birth safely. She also took hormone tablets to prepare her body for the pregnancy.
Tracey’s dad Robert Miles, 61, was also very supportive. He put it in writing through a solicitor that he and Emma would happily give parental rights to Adam and Tracey once the baby was born.
Nine weeks ago Emma, of Lampeter, West Wales, gave birth to a healthy baby girl called Evie.
Now Tracey will be celebrating her first Mother’s Day on Sunday with her baby girl, all thanks to her mother.
Tracey said:
“Every moment of heartache was so worth it just to have our little bundle in our arms. I am so grateful to mum for her amazing gift to us.”
