N-Power fraudsters sentenced to one year in prison for Impersonation

n-power-fraudsters-

A Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State has convicted and sentenced Sata Owugha Clinton and Bolounmubofa Blessing Soroh to one year imprisonment for impersonation and using the identity of a petitioner to enrol in the Federal Government of Nigeria’s N-POWER Social Welfare scheme.

The convicts were arraigned by the Port Harcourt’s Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on a one-count charge bordering on impersonation under Section 22(3) (a) of the Cybercrimes Prohibition, Prevention Act 2015 and punishable under Section 22(4) of the same Act.

Clinton and Soroh got into trouble when they used the name and identity of Lovedy Chiamaka Uzor to enrol in the welfare scheme and in the process obtained the sum of N360,000 (Three Hundred and Sixty Thousand Naira only) from the scheme. They were able to open a bank account in the name of Uzor because she also applied for the scheme, but stopped her application mid-way, fearing that the scheme may be a scam.

The convicts capitalized on this and completed the enrolment processes in the victim’s name. The victim got wind of their fraudulent activities when she contacted her bank and found out that the convicts were already receiving payments from the scheme in her name.

The charge reads: “That you, Sata Owugha Clinton and Bolounmubofa Blessing Soroh on or about the 10th of October, 2017 at Zenith Bank within the Jurisdiction of this Honourable Court did fraudulently impersonate one Loveday Chiamaka Uzor with intent to gain advantage for yourselves thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 22(3) (a) of the Cybercrimes prohibition, Prevention Act 2015 and punishable under Section 22(4) of the same Act.”

They pleaded “guilty” to the charge. In view of their pleas, prosecuting counsel, Alao Rashidat, prayed the court to sentence the defendants for the offence of impersonation accordingly as contained in the Cybercrimes Prohibition, Prevention Act.

Justice Sani, thereafter, convicted and sentenced them to one year in prison.

Women who scream ‘Jesus, Oh my God’ during sex will all go to HELL – Prophet

Controversial man of God, Prophet Kumchacha has shockingly revealed that any woman who screams the name of God or Jesus Christ when having s*x will end up in Hell.

Prophet Kumchacha who is the leader and founder of Heaven’s Gate Ministry has said that, whether the woman is making love with her husband or boyfriend, once the person screams the name of Jesus Christ during the act, she will not miss hell.

“Whether you are making the love with your husband or your boyfriend, once you scream the name of Jesus Christ while in the act there is no way you will not go to hell”, he revealed during a live television discussion on UTV.

According to him, specially trained angels will subject you to all forms of severe beatings on judgment day before throwing you into hell because shouting the name Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit under such instances constitutes a grievous punishable by being thrown into hell.

“God is not his personal property it is the omnipresent God we all know. Read Exodus 21:1-7 it says you should not mention the name of God in vain. So while being romanced if you are mentioning the name like that you commit a big sin. If care is not taken you could be flogged one day by invisible hands while in the act”, he added.

Trump immigration clampdown targets Nigeria, others

President Donald Trump is considering imposing travel restrictions on countries whose citizens overstay short-term visitor visa, according to The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

The American president and some of his aides are reportedly considering the move as a means of curbing immigration.

The journal listed Nigeria, Chad, Eritrea, Liberia and Sierra Leone as some of the countries whose immigrants overstay their visas at relatively high rates.

The Trump administration wants “to reduce overstay rates for visas and the visa waiver program — and it’s well known that the administration is working to ensure faithful implementation of immigration welfare rules to protect American taxpayers,” WSJ quoted Hogan Gidley, White House spokesman, as saying.

The report added that the US, as part of the new rule, “would tell the countries’ governments that if rates don’t reverse, then future visas could be shorter or harder to get, according to an administration official who described the move as putting those countries “on notice.”

“Ultimately, nationals from countries with high overstay rates could be barred entirely, though the official said no ban is now under consideration,” the report read.

The White House is also said to be considering a number of other rule changes that will make it more difficult to obtain student and investor visas, as well as visas for spouses of highly skilled H-1B-visa holders.

On Monday, the United States embassy in Nigeria said its visa officers do not enjoy denying Nigerians visa.

It explained that some questions often misunderstood by applicants which earn them a rejection, while announcing a Facebook Live session to talk about some of the commonly misunderstood questions on Wednesday.

It’s risky to undergo plastic surgery for people’s attention – Stephanie Coker

Media personality, Stephanie Coker has spoken of the risks involved when one undergoes plastic surgery for the sole purpose of getting other people’s attention.

Her unpopular opinion comes at a time when so many Female celebs jump on the act and surgically improve their bodies just for the social media clout and fame.

Sharing a bikini photo of herself, Stephanie Coker wrote:

“Although this was captured perfectly by renowned photographer @kelechiamadiobi This image Is not flawless and it has nothing to do with lighting, angles or the environment. It is because the subject herself is imperfect.

I always wanted to keep this image in my closet room for my eyes only. Until last week when a friend said she was going to get a BBL.

Now I am not opposed to one altering their looks, it is not my place to judge, however, I do find following such life threatening trends to grab the attention of others a bit risky. Especially when most men on this side of the world are walking around looking like Humpty Dumpty. There have been a handful of cases that I personally know of women who have lost their lives to plastic surgery.

I say all this to say, if you are going to get plastic surgery, please do it for yourself at least, and research the risks to your health and weigh up your options”

Atiku releases ‘evidence’ of election result from INEC website.

Atiku releases evidence

PDP Presidential candidate in the February 23rd presidential election, Atiku Abubakar, has insisted the result from the server of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) shows he defeated President Buhari in the presidential election.

Atiku gave this submission to the presidential election tribunal and he released a “unique MAC address and Microsoft product ID of the INEC server” from where the results were obtained.

INEC had on February 27th, declared that President Buhari polled a total of 15,191,847 votes to defeat Atiku who polled a total of 11,262,978 votes.

However in his petition submitted at the election tribunal, Atiku claimed he polled a total of 18,356,732 votes to defeat Buhari, who, according to what the INEC server showed his team, polled 16,741,430 votes.

INEC while reacting to Atiku’s claim, said the figures that was presented by the PDP candidate were forged.

In response to INEC’s claim, Atiku and the PDP in a statement released today, said the address of the server from which the results were obtained are unique to INEC.

“The Servers from which the said figures were derived belong to the first Respondent (INEC). The figures and votes were transmitted to the first Respondent’s Presidential Result’s Server 1 and thereafter aggregated in INEC_PRES_RSLT_SRV2019, whose Physical Address or unique Mac Address is 94-57-A5-DC-64-B9 with Microsoft Product ID 00252-7000000000-AA535. The above descriptions are unique to the 15t Respondent’s Server,” they said.

Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party

“There is no conjecture in the votes and scores in the table pleaded by the Petitioners. The figures are factual. The Spokesperson for the 2nd Respondent’s Campaign Organization openly admitted that the data in question was in the first Respondent’s Server when he wrote and submitted a petition to the Inspector General of Police and the Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS) asking the Security agencies to investigate the 2nd Petitioner herein for allegedly hacking into the Server of the 1St Respondent and obtaining the data in question.

“Specifically, Mr. Festus Keyamo, SAN, the Spokesperson of the 2nd Respondent claimed in the said petition that it was the first Petitioner who smuggled the data into the Server.”

Atiku and the PDP also alleged the INEC chairman “committed grave errors in the final collation exercise” for the election by “falsely crediting” some persons with political parties, including “Okotie Christopher, Reverend Dr. Onwubuya and Ojinika Jeff Chinze.”

“The grave errors referred to in paragraphs 4 and 5 above were under the hands and signature of the first Respondent’s Chairman, (who was also the Returning Officer) in the conduct of the final collation of the results of the Presidential Election,” they added.

“The Petitioners state that the final results as declared by the first respondent are those that were transmitted online to the website of the first Respondent (www inecnigeria.org).”

Peter Okoye bashed for saying “if you really love your children, get a business not a job”

Peter Okoye bashed

Peter Okoye has been criticized by his followers after he gave a piece of advice which many did not accept.

The singer shared a post which said, “If you really love your children, get a business, not a job, because when you die your children cannot inherit your job, but they can definitely inherit your business…”

But not all of Peter’s followers agreed with his post and some questioned him for it. Some told him it’s easy for him to say, considering that he has the capital to finance a business, whereas, for a lot of Nigerians, their businesses die due to unfavourable policies and lack of funds.

The noises are mostly made and heard from the empty barrels. We give attention to what is of value not what takes our attention from what is of no value. And very soon, society must weed out the tares that prevent the wheat from standing out.” If u come with allegations pls come out of the closet with prove to ur allegation.

Man & wife left distraught after penis enlargement charm leaves him with massive manhood.

A man and his wife are currently going through troubling times after the charm he used to enlarge his penis size gave him a size that is way bigger than what was anticipated.

The man reportedly went in search of a penis enlargement charm after his wife complained about his less than satisfactory performance in the bedroom.

The couple, from Mahwelereng in Mokopane, Limpopo, South Africa, has been married for more than a decade, but the wife said her husband became sexually weak three years ago.

The wife began to complain about his weak sexual game and he secretly sought out a native doctor to help enlarge his male member. Sadly, the charm backfired by giving him a penis that is too large for comfort.

He said: “She was always complaining that I didn’t satisfy her sexually and I thought going to a native doctor to get charm would help save my marriage. But now I just want my manhood reduced to its normal size.”

The wife complained about his new size, saying: “His manhood wasn’t working very well. But lately, I don’t even sleep with him because he is hurting me. I even told his mum I want to go back home.”

Explaining why the husband’s penis size grew too large, James Chuma, a native doctor originally from Sudan but based in Mokopane, said his client took an overdose of the manhood charm he gave him.

He said: “This man didn’t follow my instructions. He kept drinking that charm even when his manhood was growing big.

“But I will help him reduce it to a normal size. It was for him to chose the right size, not me.”

Omotola replies Bashir Ahmad, says she never collected free money from politicians

Popular Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has reacted to a statement by President Muhammadu Buhari’s media aide that those making ‘clean money’ in Nigeria are not complaining under the present government.

Bashir Ahmad had stated this in response to Omotola’s description of Nigeria as ‘hellish’ under President Muhammadu Buhari’s watch.

Recall that Omotola made the remark on her Twitter page on Monday while calling out Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo over the state of the nation, coupled with killings across Nigeria.

In response, President Buhari’s personal assistant on new media, Ahmaad, in a tweet, stated that those who were making money legitimately have no complaint about the current state of Nigeria.

”Madam Omotola those who are working for CLEAN money are not complaining and will never refer our dear country as ‘hellish’. In Kano State alone, from 2015 to 2018, no fewer than 200 medium and small scale rice milling centres emerged. For that, billions circulated among millions.”

However, Omotola this morning took to her twitter handle to react to the insinuation that her outburst was because politicians in the Buhari-led government do not give her free money.

US Embassy speaks on denying Nigerians visa, tells them what to do.

US Embassy speaks

The United States Embassy has stated that it doesn’t enjoy denying Nigerians visa. The embassy made this known in an effort to correct ‘alleged anomalies’.

Nigerian have now been asked by the US Embassy to follow a Live Facebook on the issue on Wednesday 2pm.

US Embassy, Nigeria

A statement reads:

Contrary to popular opinion, visa officers do not enjoy handing anyone the 214b refusal letter.“Proof: Visa Officers will be live on Facebook to talk about some of the commonly misunderstood questions on the DS 160 and help you improve your next application.”

Some Nigerians, however, stormed the page’s comment section to disagreeing with the embassy’s statement.

A certain Akufai Valentine Jonah recalled how he was denied a visa despite obtaining a scholarship in 2013.

He wrote:

“I had a terrible experience in 2013. I got a scholarship to attend a conference in Denver but I was denied a visa . I was not angry because I was denied visa. I was angry with the disrespectful manner the consular officer spoke to me.“Imagine giving one that refusal letter and you are told ‘off you go’ without any tangible explanation. After reading the letter, it states that I don’t have strong ties to my country either through being married, neither do I have a job. Back then I worked with an NGO and it was clearly stated in my application form. I have forgotten the third excuse. “I just laughed and left, I know people who were single then and are still single today that have got US visas. I know people who have no jobs but have got US visas. I know people who had zero travel records but were granted US visas. Since that episode I have never ever applied for a US visa because I don’t have any business there for now.”

Adaobi Emmanuella Njoku wrote ;

“Contrary to what you just posted, I think and believe they actually do enjoy it because they act like they know it all and still end up giving visas to people without genuine intentions.“I can’t wait for Wednesday to come because I have already prepared my questions. They will explain to me how it is possible to deny a person a visa three times with three different reasons at different times when the form was filled exactly the same and for the same purpose: for a medical trip to help save one’s child. I can’t wait for Wednesday.”

Kim Kardashian reveals sacrifices she made in her bid to become a lawyer

Reality TV Star and mother-of-three, Kim Kardashian is studying to become a Lawyer.

The reality star took to Instagram to update her fans on her journey so far.

“Last year I registered with the California State Bar to study law. For the next 4 years, a minimum of 18 hours a week is required, I will take written and multiple choice tests monthly.

As my first year is almost coming to an end I am preparing for the baby bar, a mini version of the bar, which is required when studying law this way.

I’ve seen some comments from people who are saying it’s my privilege or my money that got me here, but that’s not the case. One person actually said I should “stay in my lane.” I want people to understand that there is nothing that should limit your pursuit of your dreams, and the accomplishment of new goals.

You can create your own lanes, just as I am. The state bar doesn’t care who you are. This option is available to anyone who’s state allows it. It’s true I did not finish college.

You need 60 college credits (I had 75) to take part in “reading the law”, which is an in office law school being apprenticed by lawyers. For anyone assuming this is the easy way out, it’s not. My weekends are spent away from my kids while I read and study.

I work all day, put my kids to bed and spend my nights studying. There are times I feel overwhelmed and when I feel like I can’t do it but I get the pep talks I need from the people around me supporting me.

I changed my number last year and disconnected from everyone because I have made this strict commitment to follow a dream of mine – It’s never too late to follow your dreams.

2019 JAMB: Police arrests over 50 professional exam mercenaries

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has revealed it uncovered and arrested over 50 ‘Professional Examination Writers’ who specialized in writing examination for candidates for a fee.

The board’s weekly official bulletin, tagged: ‘JAMBULLETIN’, signed by JAMB’s Head, Media and Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin disclosed this in Lagos State. The board said it uncovered a group described as ‘Professional Examination Writers’ who specialises in writing examination for candidates for a fee.

According to the bulletin, as a result of the various intelligence gathering mechanism, the board was able to uncover and arrest over 50 of such fraudulent persons in centres spread across the country. It noted that some of the suspects were Master’s Degree holders and undergraduates of tertiary institutions in the country. According to the bulletin, these professional examination writers connived some Computer Based Centre owners to perpetuate the crime by engaging in multiple registrations whereby the fingerprints of the actual candidates and their impersonators are captured side by side.

“The modus operandi of these UTME syndicates was confirmed when one of the kingpins was apprehended recently. On interrogation, he confessed to the multiple registrations of his biometrics alongside other several potential candidates preparing to sit for the examination, in exchange for a huge sum of money.

“This development led to the decision of the board to revalidate all biometrics of candidates that have taken the board’s examination in recent times. This timely action will enable the board to not only fish out and dismantle this registration cartels and racketeers but also bring them to book along with their collaborators,” it said.

The bulletin added that another startling discovery by the board was the fact that a substantial portion of the UTME application documents, was composed of the bogus registration. It noted that the unwholesome application had the singular effect of inflating the total statistical data of candidates’ registration that amounted to over 30 per cent of the 1.8 million that registered for the 2019 UTME.

PDP tells Buhari: ”Tender your WAEC certificate at the tribunal”

In a statement signed and released by its spokesperson, Kola Ologbondiyan, the party also called on Nigerians to note that in claiming that an aspirant does not need WAEC certificate, but the ability to speak English, to contest for the office of the President, the Buhari Presidency, through Festus Keyamo, has finally admitted that President Buhari does not have a WAEC certificate as he claimed in his INEC form.

According to the party, it is completely inexcusable for President Buhari to swear to an affidavit to claim an educational qualification he does not possess.

An attempt to deceive the public using a defective reading and skewed interpretation of a section of the constitution cannot exonerate President Buhari.

Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party

Moreover, Section 295 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) is very clear on issues of interpretations and reference to questions of law.

The PDP therefore maintains that the onus is on President Buhari, as ‘Mr. Integrity’ to tender the certificate he claims to possess before the tribunal instead of this lame diversion from Presidential aides” the statement in part read

Windstorm hits Taraba State NYSC camp, leaves 33 corpers hospitalized

Taraba State NYSC camp

A heavy windstorm hit the orientation camp of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Taraba State leaving a total of 33 Batch A 2019 corps members hospitalised after the incident which destroyed buildings and other valuables on Saturday at the camp in Sibre, on the outskirt of Jalingo, the state capital.

The heavy windstorm reportedly started in the evening caught up with the corps members who were out celebrating a cultural festival in preparation for their passing out parade billed for Tuesday 16th April,2019, having completed their three weeks orientation course. The disaster also left the screen of the corps ambulance shattered, blew off several roofing sheets of both male and female dormitory, and left them at the mercy of rain.

The Taraba State NYSC Coordinator, Florence Yaakugh, confirmed the incident to Channels Television but said no life was lost.

“We were all here as camp officials and corps members having the cultural festival on Saturday when the windstorm all of a sudden started. The storm was so strong that visibility was so poor for both the corps members who were on parade and the camp officials.

While scampering for safety because of the fierceness of the storm, some corps members who had some health challenges like asthma, chest congestion, and the likes were choked and hospitalised. About 33 of them were moved to the clinic of the camp, of which nine were referred to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Jalingo because of their condition.”
