Nigerian Prophetess, Nonnie Roberson dies after complaining of abdominal pain
Popular Nigerian female cleric and President of Nigerian Women in Clergy, Prophetess Nonnie Roberson has died.
According to reports, the cleric died on Wednesday morning April 10th after complaining of abdominal pain.
Confirming the death, one of her associates, Elder Theophilus said ‘Nonnie died of abdominal pains which she complained of on Sunday’.
Nonnie Roberson is a seasoned midwife, seer and prophetess. She is married with four biological children and numerous spiritual children. She was a successful entrepreneur, who understands how to navigate the marketplace ministry.
Late Nonnie Roberson is the founder of Sisterhood Africa (SHA), a closed group of over one million women, who she ministers to and counsels.
Dispatch rider, one other killed as hoodlums clash in Fadeyi (Video)
Two people including a dispatch rider, were killed during a brawl between hoodlums in the Fadeyi area of Lagos state on Wednesday, 10th of April.
According to reports, the dispatch rider died after he was hit by a stray bullet. The fight is said to have started at about 11am with sporadic shooting that left people scampering for their lives and the federal road closed down for hours.
No one knows the main cause of the fracas.
“The crisis is not a small matter. Immediately the shooting started, the police on ground ran away, because those boys were heavily armed. They were not carrying pistols. I don’t know how to describe their guns, but the guns they carried surpassed that of the police in terms of the sophistication. It was after the whole crisis has simmered that the police and some SARS officials came to the scene,” a resident of the area said.
Police officers, stationed at the area to maintain orderliness, confirmed the killing, adding they have deposited the corpses at the morgue.

Police officer who destroyed DELSU student’s N250k phone has been arrested
Few hours ago, the video of a police officer destroying the phone of a Delta State University student which he reportedly bought for N250,000 went viral on the internet.
In the video, the officer who was angry that after serving the police force for about 13 years, he still has not been able to afford such an expensive phone, smashed the phone to the ground.
According to an update by the Nigerian Police Force on Twitter, the officer has been arrested and an orderly trial has commenced.
Remorseful ‘yahoo boy’ sentenced to six months imprisonment
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC Ilorin Zonal Office has secured the conviction of one Ogundele Adeseye, 24, who was re-arraigned on a one-count amended charge bordering on internet fraud.
He was convicted by Justice Babangana Ashigar of a Federal High Court sitting in Ilorin, Kwara State, on April 10, 2019 after he pleaded “guilty” to the charge, following a plea bargain agreement.
He was previously arraigned on a five-count charge, which was later amended to one count after plea bargain agreement was reached.
The charge reads:
“That you, Ogundele Adeseye, sometimes in July 2018 or thereabouts in Ilorin within the jurisdiction of this honourable court by means of fraudulent trick that you are a white Caucasian and interested in having a relationship, obtained the cumulative sum of $500 (Five Hundred Dollars) in form of iTunes gift cards from one Chase Gliglia, an American Citizen whom you met on seeking.com website (sugarbabysite) by chatting with her using the [email protected] and thereby committed an offence contrary and punishable under section 421 of the Criminal code act.”
In his plea, Ogundele said,
“My lord, I have learnt my lessons, I have realized that crime and criminality is not good, I am pleading with your lordship to temper justice with mercy.”
In sentencing him, the trial judge held there was a need to enforce judgement that will serve as a deterrent to would-be internet fraudsters.
“In accordance with plea bargain agreement, I hereby convict the defendant and sentence him to six months imprisonment,” he said.
Ogundele, however, busted into tears when he was being led to Mandala Prisons by the prison officials.

Man catches wife cheating after accidentally leaving camera on (Video)
A man caught his wife cheating with his best friend after accidentally leaving his camera on while charging the device.
The husband, only known as Mr Yang, said the incident unfolded in 2016 in China when he took his dash camera home and left it charging without knowing it had turned on.
Shocking footage captured the moment his friend Mr Liu, said to be a local mayor, turned up at his home to be greeted by his wife, Cui Hua, who he knew though work.
The footage, captured in August 2016 but only recently shared, shows the pair kissing as they greet. They then a brief conversation before Mr Liu appears to start undressing her.
Mr Yang explained he had been hiding the incident as his son was preparing for university entrance exam and only decided to divorce in January 2018.
Mr Yang said he had complained to the local government but had yet received any reply. Being accused of cheating, Cui Hua replied to ShangYao News that she was a colleague of Mr Liu.
She admitted that the government had received her ex-husband’s complaint and said:
“If this is true, they [the officials] would have given me a warning.”
Cui Hua also denied that the footage was taken from a dashcam as she believed it was filmed on a hidden camera.
It’s known that Mr Liu has retired from the service and Cui Hua has been appointed as the town’s deputy secretary.

“Without Ifa, there could never have been Google.” – Ooni of Ife
The Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, on Wednesday said Google originated from “Ifa,” also known as the oracle.
The traditional leader said without Ifa, Google would not have been created.
Ogunwusi said this during a press tour of the tourists sites within the ancient city ahead of the Tourism Innovation and Development Innovation Conference slated for April 24.
The theme of the forthcoming conference is: “Impact of Sustainable Tourism Development and Marketing of Tourism Destinations on Host Communities.”
Odu Ifa refers to the verses of the literary corpus that are usually consulted by people who believe in its efficacy before embarking on any project or activity.
It is also a West African religion and system of divination.
Ogunwusi said Ifa as a form divination was all about sourcing for information and knowledge through traditional consultation.
The traditional ruler said Google could be regarded as the modern way of sourcing for past information and what was likely to happen in the future too.
He said Ifa originated several thousands of years ago and is seen as the voice of the almighty God, referred to as: “Orisa Oke,” which is supreme to other lesser gods.
He said: “Without Ifa, there could never have been Google.
“So Google is the modern day version of Ifa.
“Ifa is all about information, getting knowledge from the almighty God.
“Whenever you search Google for information or knowledge, you are consulting Ifa and without Ifa, there would not have been Google.”
Ogunwusi said Ifa was still relevant in contemporary times.
He said that was why people were still consulting the oracle for information and solutions to their problems.
Ogunwusi explained that if the modern day youths and the educated wanted to know the date of any important event, they would search for it from Google, adding: “That is part of the functions that Ifa does for its believers and followers.
“That is the truth but it may sound strange.”
The Ooni, who is the custodian of the Youruba culture and tradition, called on Nigerians to embrace traditional worships peculiar to their communities.
He said that would not stop them from practising other modern religions.

Man dragged to the police station after he withdrew cash from an ATM using ‘cardless transaction’ option.
A man identified as Azeez Morufu, was spotted withdrawing money from an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) without using an ‘ATM card’ in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital on Tuesday and it led to him having a date in the police station.
According to a reports, Morufu was seen early Tuesday at ATM points of one of the new generation banks beside the Ibadan zonal headquarters of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) on Oba Adebimpe Road, Dugbe.
Morufu who made some ”confessions” after he was caught said he has a code he always input on the ATM to dispense without a card.
An eye witness, who drew the attention of others to the scene, explained that she became suspicious when she noticed the young man in dirty clothes was withdrawing huge amount from the ATM. She said that the suspect has, however, been handed over to police from the Iyaganku division.

A star gymnast has had to retire from the sport after she broke both her legs and dislocated both her knees during her floor routine at the NCAA competition.
Samantha Cerio, a gymnast at Auburn University had to be carted out of Friday’s NCAA gymnastics regional in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on a stretcher after the accident. The 5-foot senior from Huntersville, North Carolina, was attempting a handspring double front on her first tumbling pass when she landed awkwardly and suffered the gruesome injury.
Trainers and medical staff tended to Cerio for almost 10 minutes before she was taken off the floor on a stretcher.
Cerio later took to Instagram late Sunday to announce that she will be retiring as a gymnast.
She wrote:
Friday night was my final night as a gymnast. After 18 years I am hanging up my grips and leaving the chalk behind. I couldn’t be prouder of the person that gymnastics has made me to become. It’s taught me hard work, humility, integrity, and dedication, just to name a few. It’s given me challenges and road blocks that I would have never imagined that has tested who I am as a person. It may not have ended the way I had planned, but nothing ever goes as planned.
Thank you Auburn family for giving me a home and a chance to continue doing the sport that will always be my first love. The president also said he is going slowly because he does not want to make the mistake he made when he was as a military head of state when he sent many to prison without been tried in court.

The president, Vice President, the governor’s and ministers, other than the president and the Vice President, the others, I put them in Kiri-Kiri, and I told them they are guilty until they can prove themselves innocent.
“And you know subsequently what happened- we put about six tribunals base on the geopolitical zones, and those who were ministers and governors were asked to justify what they have in the banks and physical on the ground relative to their legitimate earnings.
“There were only two Nigerians then to my knowledge who were found to be very Honourable, both of them are dead now: Biliaminu Usman, a junior minister, from Jigawa State, and Adamu Chiroma, a minister of finance and governor of central bank.
“They were incredible Nigerians. But you know what happened, eventually, I myself was arrested, I was put in detention for three and a quarter years, luckily for me, I was not stupid, I didn’t take anybody’s money, so there was no bad publicity for me because they couldn’t find anything against me.
“Eventually I was released, and that was why I made up my mine since the bulk is partisan politics, I joined the partisan politics. You also know what happened, I tried three times, and I managed to succeed the fourth time.”
Nigerian Police Officer seen bullying a student because his phone was too expensive (Video)
A video of an angry police officer harassing a student of the Delta State University, after going through his phone and concluding “it was too expensive,” is making the rounds on social media.
In the video which was shared on Twitter, the officer could be heard saying that in his 13 years in service, he has only been able to buy a N15, 000 worth of phone as he’s not been able to afford the expensive phone the student is using.
In anger, he reportedly smashed the phone on the ground. The incident, according to the twitter user who posted the video, happened in Okpe yesterday April 9th.
The matter dragged for a very long time and the students were prevented from proceeding on the trip with the other passengers. The highlight of the confrontation was, however, when the officer angrily slapped the boy and smashed his phone on the ground.

Late HipHop star, Nipsey Hussle’s death certificate shows that he died 35 minutes after he was shot, allegedly by Eric Holder, outside his clothing store on March 31st, 2019.
Nipsey Hussle cause of death is gunshot wounds to the head and torso. He was pronounced dead at 3:55 PM on March 31 … 35 minutes after he was shot.
It should be recalled that the 33 year old Crenshaw rapper was shot on the last day of March, 2019 in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. Nipsey was rushed to the hospital, and his family and celeb friends showed up shortly after he arrived.

TMZ, who obtained a copy of Nipsey Hussle death certificate, says Nipsey’s occupation is listed as an artist and entrepreneur.
The death certificate says Nipsey was never married at the time of his death and that he worked in the entertainment and real estate industries.
Nipsey Hussle was shot by his killer, suspected to be Eric Holder, in plain view of a surveillance camera, and footage shows the shooter opening fire 3 different times on Nipsey before kicking his body and fleeing the scene. Two other people were shot, but they survived.
Nipsey’s brutal murder sent shock waves throughout Los Angeles and beyond, with celebs and sports stars paying tribute to the slain rapper in many different ways. Candlelight vigils are being held across the globe and a massive memorial service will be held at Staples Center Thursday.

Married man lands in trouble after photos of him caressing student surfaces online (Photos)
A married man has landed in trouble after pictures of him frolicking with a female subordinate emerged online – in the midst of his ongoing sexual harassment charges.
The man who has been identified as Christopher Tendekayi Mundembe, is the Human Resources regional manager at Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority, ZESA).
He appears in the photos with Tsakani Chauke, a Midlands State University Student who recently completed her internship at the power utility.
When reached for comment by H-Metro, Mundembe said,
My mobile was stolen last week and I am still to find out who exactly leaked the photographs as all my contacts received the photos. I replaced the line and upon switching it on I received several calls concerning the photographs.
Chauke on the other hand also said that she was not aware how the photos had leaked. She went on to say,
I never asked him if he was together with his wife. Also, we last communicated long back and I was not aware that he still had the photographs.
Mundembe is also facing charges of sexually harassing another student who was on attachment at the power utility.
Mundembe is alleged to have called the student into his office and demanded a hug. When the student refused, Mundembe allegedly grabbed and fondled the student’s breasts and buttocks without consent.
The victim initially reported the matter internally, but when she saw that nothing was being done she escalated the matter and reported the case to the police.
Mundembe is expected back in court on the 15th of April.

A Twitter user with the handle @iamvic3 has alleged that a Nigerian airline company he patronized only flew them half of the way then put them into a bus to continue the rest of the journey.
His tweet reads:

Another twitter corroborated his claim saying they (Airline company) do it almost all the time, adding sometimes the passenger is notified but more often than not, they don’t tell them.

One of the hottest and most juicy beef going on in the music industry has apparently come to its end as Demmie Vee was seen in a video prostrating for Kizz Daniel and the whole crew.
Recall Demmie vee, recently took to social media to lambaste Kizz Daniel for coming to his house with sarz while revealing what exactly transpired between the two parties.
While the beef was going on, Demmie Vee released the original track of his hit song ‘You Go Wait’ claiming Kizz edited his voice to spoil the track.
However, in a new video making the rounds, it appears the misunderstanding is settled as Demmie Vee prostrated and apologized to Kizz Daniel and his Label.

Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey has revealed that he eats once a day, fasts on weekends and walks to work all in an effort to make sure his mind stays sharp.
The 42-year-old only eats dinner and doesn’t eat at all on weekends. Jack also doesn’t take warm showers, and in an effort to ensure his mind stays sharp, he walks the distance between his home and the social media HQ
Jack Dorsey whose net worth is $5.3billion, claims the routine makes his days feel longer making him able to get ample sleep every night.
‘During the day, I feel so much more focused. … You have this very focused point of mind in terms of this drive,’ he said.
Dorsey enjoys fish, chicken, or steak with a salad or a side of vegetables and has berries or dark chocolate for dessert.
He also plans to have a family at some point and is trying to experiment with what has the best impact before he does.
Speaking about his eating lifestyle:
‘I’ll go from Friday ’til Sunday. I won’t have dinner on Friday. I won’t have dinner or any meal on Saturday. And the first time I’ll eat will be Sunday evening. I’ve done that three times now where I do [an] extended fast where I’m just drinking water,’ Dorsey revealed.
‘The first time I did it, like day three, I felt like I was hallucinating. It was a weird state to be in. But as I did it the next two times, it just became so apparent to me how much of our days are centered around meals and how — the experience I had was when I was fasting for much longer, how time really slowed down.’
Islamic cleric arrested for raping physically challenged girl inside a mosque in Lagos
The police in Lagos State have arrested a 27-year old Islamic cleric, Alfa Abdulrasheed Mukaila, for allegedly having sex with a 15-year old physically challenged girl inside a popular Mosque in the Ilasamaja area of the state.
Mukaila allegedly took advantage of the victim right inside a Mosque. The mother of the victim noticed her daughter’s unusual steps when she returned home and upon inquiry, she told her mother what the Alfa did to her.
The girl’s mother took her to the General Hospital in the area where some bruises were discovered around her vagina area.
The case was reported at Zone D Police Command, Mushin, and the cleric was said to have gone into hiding. Following futile attempts to locate the cleric by men of the police force, the policemen arrested the Imam and some Alfas from the Mosque in order for them to produce the cleric who perpetrated the act.
After intensive search, the suspected rapist was arrested and is currently in police detention. The police say he will soon be charged to court.
