A 14-year-old girl whose father had the habit of inserting his fingers inside her genitals to check if she is still a virgin at their home in Enugu state, has been rescued and reunited with her mother.

Activist, Gwamnishu Emefiena Harrison, who shared the story online, said the young girl ran to his NGO, to confide in officials about what she had been going through.

She was taken away from her father’s house and handed over to her mother – her father has since gone underground and has since refused to honor police invitations.

A man reportedly lost his three kids in the collapsed Lagos school building, as claimed by a Twitter who seem to be present at the scene of the incident.

The real estate consultant who shared tweet of the man who lost his three kids in the collapsed Lagos school building, further disclosed that the suicidal man paid the school fees of his kids a week before the incident today.

He wrote;

So this man at the site of this building collapse in Lagos island is threatening to kill himself as he lost 3 of his kids who sat at home all through last week because of school fees only for him to take them to school today, pay their fees and they all die I’m deeply hurt

There was also an unconfirmed report of a woman who lost 5 children in the collapsed Lagos school building. This disclosure was made shortly after rescue teams arrived and have been working at the scene of the incident at Ita-Faji, Lagos Island with so many sympathizers. Dr. Olufunmilayo who disclosed that a woman lost 5 children in the collapsed Lagos school building, wrote;

“Collapsed building in Lagos island.

“One woman has lost 5 children to it.

“I hope this will not just end in the usual Nigerian “awww” “eyah” and a lot of silly smileys

“We have to start investigating and jailing those responsible for avoidable deaths like this.”

7 School Pupils, 12 Adults rescued alive from Lagos building collapse

19 persons including seven school pupils and 12 adults, were rescued from the three-storey building that collapsed in the Ita-Faji area of Lagos Island on Wednesday March 13th.

Rescue operations spearheaded by men of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA were ongoing as the police and other security operatives monitored the security situation at the scene.

Man caught while trying to use 6-year-old for rituals In Delta (Photos)

A suspected yahoo boy was almost lynched to death after he was allegedly caught trying to use a little 6-year-old boy for rituals in Delta state.

It was gathered that the young man pretended to be mentally unstable in order to carry out the nefarious act in Sapele area of the state.

It was gathered that he was apprehended while trying to blow powder (which had cowries round it) on the boy in a bid to hypnotize him.

The suspect was immediately captured and beaten mercilessly by the mob. It was revealed that during the beating, the young man was making some incantations for reasons best known to him, before he was stabbed in the chest with a sharp object.

The police later came to his rescue as the suspect was dragged to a station in the area for further interrogation.

Gunmen attack Edo Police Station, free prisoners, kill DPO and others (Graphic Photos)

Some gunmen who attacked an Edo police station, reportedly freed prisoners and also killed a Police DPO alongside four others.

The gunmen who attacked Afuze police station in Afuze, Edo State last night, freed prisoners and also killed police officers came with Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), which they exploded before carting away rifles and other ammunition.. There was also a pregnant police officer among the victims of the attack, as it was further gathered that the the gunmen targeted other police posts and burnt down their vans.

A local resident who spoke to ThisDay last night said the gunmen, who were about 10 in number, arrived the station at about 8p.m., shooting sporadically before killing the officers.

The eyewitness further disclosed that the attack lasted for over 30 minutes, with the gunmen freely detonating their IEDs before gaining access to the armoury where they carted away weapons.

It was also gathered that after the attack at the police station, they went to the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the local government where they destroyed police vehicles parked at the premises.

“We suddenly started hearing sounds of gunshots and explosions at the police station. The gunmen caught the policemen unaware.”

“We were all afraid to come out. By the gunshots died down, we heard that the DPO and four officers were killed. This is strange to us here. We have never experienced such an attack in this town,” he said.

A 400 level student of the Cross River University of Technology, CRUTECH has been killed by an alleged drunk 200 level student on campus.

Joseph, a Civil Engineering student of the institution, was reportedly sitting by the gutter on Tuesday, waiting for his lecture at the Calabar Main when a drunk 200 level student, driving his friend’s car, lost control of the car and rammed into him.

Joseph was rushed to the hospital immediately after the accident yesterday but he was declared dead on arrival.

A mum identified as Rose Alcides Rivera, who killed her daughter because she doesn’t want her to have sex has been arrested by the police in Orlando.

The lady who turned up at hospital asking for help for her 11-year-old daughter who was already dead from multiple stab wounds, also pulled a knife on hospital workers before being arrested on Sunday. The 28-year-old mum later told investigators that she killed her daughter because she doesn’t want her to have sex with men.

“Rivera stated she stabbed her daughter while in the car, and while stabbing her she was attempting to make her more comfortable,” an investigator wrote in the report.

Rose who was charged with first-degree murder in the death of Aleyda Rivera, reportedly took the child to a man’s house and accused him of having sex with the girl. Rivera said she believed her daughter was having sex with men because she “smiled different,” the station reported, citing an affidavit. However after the deceased denied it, she stabbed her in the car.

Orange County Sheriff John Mina who spoke to newsmen, however said there appears to be no validity to Rivera’s claim that her daughter was sexually active.

“We believe that part of the investigation is unfounded,” Mina said, according to Orlando Weekly. “We are looking into that but don’t believe it to be credible, although we are still continuing the investigation.”

It was gathered that the lady couldn’t talk or identify herself after being dropped off yesterday in Ajamimogha road in Warri area, thereby sparking rumours that she might have been used for money rituals.

According to online reports, the residents were notified by a road side sweeper who saw her while being dropped off.

The pretty lady just sat by the roadside as shocked residents gathered in their numbers and surrounded her while urging her to talk.

A local goat thief who decided to improvise a new way to avoid detection is currently behind bar after he was caught with a stolen goat meat strapped to his body.

According to reports, the man who is said to hail from Maasai, Kenya, allegedly stole a goat and slaughtered it. He split the animal into two from the backbone and tied the parts to his body like an inner cloth/vest.

In the video trending online, the man was forced by the police to remove his clothes that had the meat concealed underneath.
