An unarmed man who was suspected to be an armed robber was allegedly shot dead by policemen in Edo state on Tuesday morning, January 29th.
According to Instagram user, @CarrickDublin who shared a video from the scene online, the suspected man was fleeing the scene after he was apprehended when the police shot at him.

An upcoming Nigerian artiste identified as Xcellente has outed for allegedly assaulting some young ladies who accommodated him in their apartment.
According to one of the ladies identified as Zarah, Xcellente allegedly descended on them after he felt they were being rude to him.

A final year student allegedly took his own life because he had a poor GPA – according to Twitter user, Kofi, the student took his life this past Sunday, January 27.

Police and paramedics were called on model, Blac Chyna and new boyfriend, rapper, Kid Buu following a violent fight that broke out between the pair who are currently on Baecation in Hawaii.
TMZ reported on Monday that the pair, both 30-years-old, got in a heated argument in their hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton in Honolulu – TMZ‘s source claimed that Chyna accused Kid Buu of cheating before an argument erupted and it turned violent.
Chyna scratched Kid Buu, who also slammed her against the wall several times and choked her, the insider added. The police and paramedics were called shortly after the fight at the Four Seasons hotel in Honolulu, where Chyna and her man were staying.
The mother of two was not taken to the hospital as TMZ reports that no one was seriously hurt. But after Kid Buu left the hotel, he posted in Spanish … translation – “Don’t f**k with me, I’m a grown man.” He followed it up with a homophobic slur.
The fight comes few hours after Chyna posted loved up photos of them on her Instagram stories.

A Nigerian man has narrated a quite unique incident that he witnessed recently when Nigerian women farmers were asked for their account numbers.
The Twitter user stated that when it was time to pay the women their allowances, rather than provide their account numbers, which they had, they chose to give the account numbers of their husbands and children. He, however, didn’t state the reason for this.
Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers on Monday morning, hijacked a 14-seater commercial bus, killing the driver and two passengers in Rivers State.
The incident occurred within Rumuekpe, in Elele-Ndele axis of East West Road, in Emohua Local Government Area of the state.
According to reports, the bandits were responsible for violent crimes perpetrated along Elele-Ndele in Emohua, and other neighbouring community along the East-West road.
It was gathered that the suspected kidnappers hijacked a Navy-Blue Hiace bus belonging to Agofure Motors after shooting sporadically at the vehicle and occupants.
The gunmen then abducted the rest of the occupants after killing the driver and two other passengers. An eyewitness, Sinachi, claims that only one woman was allowed to go because she has a bad leg.
The spokesman of Rivers State police command, Nnamdi Omoni, is yet to confirm the incident.

A teacher has been apprehended after she sent nude photos to a 17-year-old student on Snapchat and then asked if he wanted to play ‘naked hide and seek.’
Kelsie Schmidt, 22, who taught math at Beulah High School in North Dakota, allegedly sent the X-rated pictures to a student at the school.
According to court documents, Schmidt was arrested on January 23 after a student told a detective ‘that he could get the math teacher in trouble for pictures that she had sent him.’
The officer was interviewing the student following reports that a teacher had been sending nude photos on Snapchat.
According to police, Schmidt sent about 3 to 4 pictures to the student. One was reportedly a picture of the teacher, naked from the waist up, with her hair partly covering her breasts. Another photo was allegedly of the teacher’s legs with the message ‘get a group and play naked hide and seek,’ according to the Dickinson Press.
Beulah Public School District Superintendent Travis Jordan said the school is investigating the incident and Schmidt, who was in her first year of teaching at the school, has been placed on administrative leave in the meantime.
She has been charged with felony luring minors by computer or other means and is due back in court on February 27.
Following an earlier report that one Shalom Sam-Ogbaji alongside her kids were declared missing, it’s being revealed newly that they actually fled their home.
According to her brother who initially announced that she had been missing since last week, the mother of two is said to have fled her home in a bid to escape her abusive husband.
It was gathered that prior to Shalom’s disappearance, her husband who first declared her missing to her family members allegedly took to battering her and broke her phone, making it difficult for her to contact anyone after fleeing from him’
Allegations have also emerged that the unnamed husband formed the habit of kicking Shalom Sam-Ogbaji out alongside her kids on many occasions when he drinks and smokes to a stupor.
Bollywood actress, Esha Gupta has faced heavy backlash on social media after her racist comments on Arsenal’s Nigerian-based footballer, Alexander Iwobi went viral.
Esha, an avid Arsenal supporter and an ambassador of the English Premier League side, criticized Iwobi’s performance in the club’s recent game on a Whatsapp conversation with her friend which she later shared as on her Instagram story.

Members of the Lagos state House of Assembly are reportedly meeting to impeach incumbent Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.
A report by TVC reveals that the lawmakers accused the governor of gross misconduct, adding that the plenary session is in progress.
Details of the proposed impeachment is still foggy as at the time of filling this report but speculations have it that it might not be unconnected to Ambode’s failure to present the 2019 budget appropriation to the state Assembly.

Senate President Bukola Saraki has stated that the administration of President Buhari would have silenced him if he had any skeleton in his cupboard.

A bit of drama ensued on board an airplane between a Nigerian man and Ethiopian airline officials which caused flight delay recently – according to a Facebook user, James Singini, the incident allegedly occurred at Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) in Malawi.
According to reports, the Nigerian who overstayed in the country, was just released from prison and had an expired flight ticket.
It was gathered that the Nigerian man was allowed to pass through immigration at the airport and also allegedly overpowered the police at the entrance.
He was then confronted by the airline officials – about three of them – as they struggled to get him out of the plane.
The drama was filmed by another passenger as the Nigerian man can be heard shouting ‘help me’ before he was finally bundled out.

A Nigeria student has decided to make good use of the ongoing indefinite strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU as she shared photos of herself delving into the palm oil-making business in the village.
Sharing photos on her page, she wrote alongside them,
“So ASUU refused to call off the strike and I’m stuck in the village. Omo, making palm oil is not a day’s job. But anyway, it was fun and it’s an experience.”
Obinna Ezenwaka, a victim of fraud has sought legal redress as he explained to the Lagos State Special Offences Court how a Lagos-based prophet, identified as Cletus Ilongwo, hypnotised and defrauded him.
According to a report by Punch, the Presiding Pastor of the Power of the Holy Ghost Evangelical Ministry, is facing 11 counts bordering on fraud.

In the report, Ezenwaka recounts the whole ordeal of how Cletus hypnotized him with various items ranging from the blood of a ram, a cross-like chain.

Sometime in April 2015, a neighbour took me to the prophet’s church and after a particular Sunday, he gave me an appointment to see him, because he wanted to know the reason why I came to the church. I told him that some people owed me and they were not willing to pay and that I wanted him to help me pray so that I could recover my money.
“He asked me to write the names of the debtors in the sequences of seven, nine, 14 and 21, which I did; another day, he gave me another appointment that the Holy Spirit ministered to him that I was going to recover my money to the last kobo and I left.
“One Sunday in October 2015, he gave me another appointment. He introduced me to two of the church members, who were close to him, Samuel Amaefule and Maxwell Adiele. He said I should be working with them and that God would answer my prayers and that I would recover my money.
“The two members got close to me; they visited me in my office and home to deliver any message from the prophet and each time I was with them, any business-related discussion I had with my customers over the phone, the two of them would tell the prophet and when next I see him, he would start giving revelations about the transactions, making it to look as if he was making a true revelation.
“In the third week of January 2016, the prophet asked me to come to the church that God had a message for me; when I got there, he took me to where they were selling rams and said God asked him to make a sacrifice on my behalf and he paid for the ram.
We bought the ram and went back to the church; he asked me to write the names of my debtors in the sequences of seven, nine, 14 and 21 in red ink. I gave him the names and he called the two members he had introduced to me earlier and a man from the North called Talif Aliu, whom he said works with the Nigeria Customs Service.”
Ezenwaka added, “He (the prophet) killed the ram and used a bowl collect its blood and persuaded me to bathe with the blood, but I declined and he said I should not doubt the message of the Holy Spirit, so I bathed with the blood. After bathing, he gave me the head of the ram and told me to follow him to a place in the church’s premises where he dug the ground and buried the head of the ram with the names of my debtors.
“He asked me to take the remains of the ram to my landed property in Lagos and also asked the two members to follow me to bury the torso of the ram and that I should come back two weeks later.”
