Atiku Rejects Presidential Election Result, Heads To Court

Atiku Rejects Presidential Election Result

The Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar has rejected the 2019 presidential election.

Defeated presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has rejected the result of the election won by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Atiku, who had kept mute since Monday, when the results showed that he was going to be the loser, knocked the election as a sham. And he said he will be challenging it in court.

Read his statement:

I thank the Nigerian people who trooped out in their millions to perform their civic duty this past Saturday. The patriotism of Nigerians is heartwarming and affirms my oft-repeated statement that we are brothers and sisters born from the womb of one mother Nigeria.

With regards to the Presidential elections that took place on February 23, 2019, it is clear that there were manifest and premeditated malpractices in many states which negate the results announced.

One obvious red flag is the statistical impossibility of states ravaged by the war on terror generating much higher voter turnouts than peaceful states. The suppressed votes in my strongholds are so apparent and amateurish, that I am ashamed as a Nigerian that such could be allowed to happen. How can total votes in Akwa-Ibom, for instance, be 50% less than what they were in 2015?

How can total votes in Akwa-Ibom, for instance, be 50% less than what they were in 2015?

Another glaring anomaly is the disruption of voting in strongholds of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos, Akwa-Ibom, Rivers and diverse other states, with the authorities doing little or nothing and in some cases facilitating these unfortunate situations.

The militarization of the electoral process is a disservice to our democracy and a throwback to the jackboot era of military dictatorship. In some areas of the country, such as, Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Imo states, troops deployed for the elections turned their guns on the very citizens they were meant to protect. This is condemnable and should not be associated with our electoral process in the future.

I am a democrat and there are democratic avenues available to present the truth to the nation and the watching world. Already, many international observers have given their verdicts, which corroborate our observations. I am sure more will come in the coming hours and days.

If I had lost in a free and fair election, I would have called the victor within seconds of my being aware of his victory to offer not just my congratulations, but my services to help unite Nigeria by being a bridge between the North and the South.

However, in my democratic struggles for the past three decades, I have never seen our democracy so debased as it was on Saturday, February 23, 2019. 2007 was a challenge, but President Yar’Adua was remorseful. In 2019, it is sad to see those who trampled on democracy thumping their noses down on the Nigerian people.

Consequently, I hereby reject the result of the February 23, 2019 sham election and will be challenging it in court.

I want to assure my supporters and the entire Nigerian people that together, we will not allow democracy to be emasculated.

I hope and pray Nigerians will someday summon the courage to defend democracy. That is the only way we can move away from being the world headquarters for extreme poverty.

‘I Did Not Work For Atiku’ – Dele Momodu Fires Back At Reno Omokri

Dele Momodu, has again hit back at Reno Omokri, former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, over his call for presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar to make a congratulatory call to President Muhammadu Buhari.

We had reported that Momodu on Tuesday gave the advice apparently referring to the ongoing announcement of last Saturday’s presidential results by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Omokri hit back, telling Momodu that he should have sent the advice privately.

However, Momodu has now listed 10 results why he sent out the tweet.

“My dear Reno, I’ve read your tweet. Please let me say a few things for the record:

1. I did not work for Atiku, I only volunteered like I did for Buhari in 2015. I never interacted with his campaign office

2. The PDP Chairman, Uche Secondus publicly rejected the results yesterday.

3. The last time I met or spoke to the Wazirin was before PDP primaries but I supported him and still do with all my heart

4. My tweet was not meant for his private consumption but for his huge and passionate followers like me…

5. I learnt many lessons from the June 12 saga!

6. I felt the tension being generated by the rejection of the polls even before the end of the exercise

7. I consider it pertinent to avert the imminent danger occasioned by the reckless misadventure of the Buhari government and its operatives during these elections…

8. My intervention is only an appeal and an advice to the Wazirin and his supporters. You gain more when you embrace peace when people expect you to fight

9. Atiku is free to head to court but I doubt if Buhari will obey any outcome, if unfavourable

10. Where then do you go? GOD,” he tweeted

Man resurrected by Pastor Alph Lukau arrested by Police

The man that was resurrected by by Prophet Alph N Lukau, has allegedly been arrested according to his former employer.

The man has since been identified as Elliot or Brighton, following the viral “miracle” in Johannesburg, South Africa, which many believe was staged.

Now, one of Brighton’s former employers has revealed the extent of his deception and that he has been arrested.

The Citizen reported that Azania Mosaka interviewed Vincent, who Brighton had worked for at a factory in Pretoria. According to Vincent, Brighton was arrested on the morning of Tuesday, February 26.

Speaking to Azania Mosaka during the Tuesday edition of her show on 702, the man named Vincent confirmed that he had been told by his other employees that Elliot had been arrested and that they had no further details at this stage.

“I got word from one of the guys that works for me that knows Elliot, I believe they arrested him today,” said Vincent.

He went on to confirm that Brighton was indeed an employee at his wood-working factory in Pretoria where he had worked until recently and looked completely healthy the last time he’d reported for duty.

According to Vincent, this was not the first stunt Brighton had been a part of as he’d previously allegedly pretended to be wheelchair-bound so that the pastor could “heal” him in front of the masses.

His employer went on to describe him as a very smart man who was unfortunately fond of lying.

Various social media users have also shared old photos featuring Brighton, and it seems he has previously worked with the pastor as his cameraman, among other things.

“Can you imagine what a life he’s had? He’s worked for me, he died, he was resurrected and now he’s been arrested,” joked Vincent.

Peter Obi Rejects Presidential Results In Anambra

Peter Obi Rejects Presidential Results

Vice presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Mr Peter Obi, on Tuesday, said the results declared by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from Anambra state was unacceptable to the party.

He accused the electoral umpire of disenfranchising over 8 million registered voters in the South East Geo-political Zone in the last general election.

Addressing newsmen in his Onitsha residence, Obi further lamented that the election was systematically planned to ensure the zone did not participate fully in the exercise.

He argued that only 20% were able to cast their votes out of 10 million registered voters in the area.

He said, “You will recall that on the election day I said that the process was clumsy and we also had major problem of card readers and most people could not vote.

“When over 400,000 Card Readers got burnt it became clear that something was wrong somewhere and INEC could not save the situation and they will not allow people to vote manually.

“But in some other parts of the country people are allowed to vote manually and it was accepted by the electoral body. Now how can you tell me that a state like Yobe and Bornu produced the number of voters that is higher than Anambra and Ebony states put together?

“The two states are areas that have been at war and I wonder how they got Card Readers that are working so well despite the war situation that they found themselves?

Obi regretted the retrogressive disposition the country was tilting to, noting that instead of the country building on achievements of the 2015 general election the country was on a reverse

He added, “The impressive turn out of voters was discouraged by the performance of the electoral body last Saturday.

Obi further decried the harassment and attack members of his party had suffered in the hands of security agencies targeted at intimidating them.

He however hinted that it was not in his powers to announce any demand for the cancellation of the election, saying, “It is left for the party to make its position clear on the matter.”

In a lengthy post, Laura explained her stance on saying they were nit friends.

Laura wrote ;

“So this is my beautiful sister-in-law, heard she is great, heard because we have never met but heard she’s cool. Hopefully we will meet soon and talk x hug this whole thing out.

We were quite cordial until she called my husband out on Instagram n never apologized. Since then we never spoke or exchanged messages, hence the “We re not friends” statement.

Listen guys, I’m not someone to ever bring negative light to the family, I’m a strong defender of family, u see how I love my siblings and that’s how I’ve been with all my in-laws.

I don’t want to be known as someone who would intentionally bring division among siblings cos I won’t want that with my brothers or sisters. My husband n his brother re quite close n I don’t want that to change for any reason whatsoever.

I won’t want that to happen to me and Peks. Besides my in-law is an amazing man. Pls enough of the hate, enough of the name calling, enough of supporting one family or the other, let’s stop the team A or B. In the end we will all sit at a table and eat as one big happy Kanu family.

All I said were from an angry place and I’m never someone to be angry or let a troll get to me. I shouldn’t have. So hey let’s be a lil kinder and let love lead. Will make the first move and put a call through. And Amara pls call ur bro inlaw hun, it’s time for that talk.

How I Was Gang-Raped By 8 Students, Blackmailed – UNILAG Student

Student of the University of Lagos (Unilag) on Tuesday told an Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court that she was allegedly gang-raped by eight fellow students and blackmailed with a video recording of the assault.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Miss Z (name withheld) a 19-year-old student of the institution made the revelation while giving evidence during the trial of five students over the alleged crimes.

The students are -Moboluwaji Omowole, 19, Chuka Chukwu, 19, Peace Nwankama, 19, James Aguedu, 20 and Osemeka Josephine, 20.

They face a three-count charge of defilement of a child, permitting the defilement of a child in a premises and procuration.

Other students who are alleged by authorities to be accomplices to the alleged crimes are still at large.

Miss Z who was 17-years-old at the time of the alleged gang rape was led in evidence by Mrs K.A Momoh-Ayokambi, the lead state prosecutor.

In a lengthy testimony which lasted for 2 hours and 10 minutes, she gave an explicit account of her ordeal.

Narrating the events that led to the alleged gang rape, she told the court that she became friends with Nwankaba (the third defendant) who was her roommate when she moved into school hostel at the 2016/2017 academic session.

She alleged that Nwankaba, her friend and roommate lured her to be gang raped.

“I had three roommates which included Peace Nwankaba, during the course of being in the room, Peace and I became friends, she even introduced me to her parents on our matriculation day between Jan. 13 to 17 2017.

“One day in the early afternoon around 12pm, Peace called me on the phone and asked if I was around and asked if I wanted to hang with another boy called Yinka (now at large) at High Rise which is a staff quarters hostel at Unilag.

“At the time I did not know what High Rise was, I told her and she said it was a hostel where people stay.

“I told her I was not sure that I will think about it, she cut the call and called me again within the space of five minutes but this time it was Yinka who was talking to me.

“He told me it was supposed to be a hang out and Peace will be there, at that point I agreed and since I didn’t know where High Rise was Yinka and Peace told me to meet them at Jaja Hall, a male hostel at Unilag.

“When I got there I only met Yinka with James (fourth defendant). When I saw Yinka I asked of Peace and he said she is at High Rise.”

She said when she got to High Rise, she was led to a small building behind High Rise where she met Seriki (now at large) and a group of boys but was assured by Yinka that Peace will come to the premises.

Miss Z said: “James led me up a flight of stairs and we got into a room, there were boys outside the corridor because some of the boys who were downstairs had come upstairs.

“I entered the room with Seriki qms James but Yinka stayed outside, when I entered the room I met two boys and a girl the boys are- Emmanuel (at large), I cannot remember the name of the second boy and Josephine (the fifth defendant).

“When James and Seriki entered the room, Josephine and the two boys left and at this point it was clear to me that Peace was not in High Rise.

“Yinka then asked me to have sex with him, I said no but he continued forcefully persisting and removing my clothes at this point, two other people who were looking into the room entered the room and held me down while Yinka had forceful sex with me.

“In no particular order, the following took their turns – Daniel, James, Yinka, Bolu (first defendant), Seriki, Emmanuel and two other people who I don’t know their name. They were eight men.”

Miss Z said that she that following the alleged gang rape, she was subjected to further sexual assault by the some of defendants and their accomplices.

“After they did that they all came into the room including Josephine and they started playing music, four people held me down and were touching me all around while Josephine was either kissing one of then dancing with one of them.

“At a point Josephine asked of she could kiss me while I was trying to fight off the people around. I was thinking of leaving but I was outnumbered and I didn’t know if those downstairs were part of them.

“Eventually Josephine kissed me and they made comments like its not that bad etc. When they were molesting me, there was a guy who was sitting down and video recording all that was happening on a phone.

“My first instinct was to get the phone from him but I thought I was outnumbered. At a point when they were leaving, they led me outside the building and they told me they had a video of what happened.

“They said if I don’t want to be popular in school, I have to answer them anytime they wanted to have sex. They collected my number and shared it among themselves,” she said.

Miss Z said she did not know how to handle the situation and kept everything that happened to herself because she was scared she will get into a lot of trouble because of the video and that her father will be very angry.

She said felt victimised and in bondage and that she gave Nwankaba her roommate the benefit of doubt thinking that she was unaware of what happened to her.

“I was still talking to Peace as I assumed she did not know what happened, I trusted her, she introduced me to her parents during matriculation and we were in the same room,” she said.

Miss Z told the court that a week or two after the alleged incident she was on more than two occasions subjected to more gang rape and sexaul assault by the members of the group who now included Simi, Randy, Idowu and Eddy (who are all at large).

She alleged that some of the assault and defilement occurred at Chukwu’s (second defendants) parents house Pako area of Yaba.

Miss Z told the court that to add to her ordeal, rumours about the video tape began to make rounds in the school premises.

“I started hearing stories and the narrative was as though I wanted it, Henry a friend of Peace told me that I was popular at Jaja Hall and that there was a video and I wanted to get away from it.

“I had a friend (name withheld) who we both belonged to the an organization in school, he liked me and he is the type to find out about everyone he likes when he heard about the story and video he asked questions.

“Unknown to me, he reported to the school authorities and on Mar. 1, 2017, he told me to follow him to Ecobank to withdraw money but unknown to me, he wanted me to see the school counselor.

“The school counselor beckoned to me, I saw my biodata in her hands, she asked me to follow her and at this point I knew who she was.

“I thought I was going to be expelled, she pulled out a form and asked me to state what happened and I told her everything, she told me the school was behind my back and she said they will be caught, ” Miss Z said.

She said the counselor asked her to lure Omowole (first defendant) to a place within the school premises where he was arrested, taken to the office of the Dean Student Affairs where he provided the names of the rest of his alleged accomplices.

The student said she was admitted at the Unilag Medical Center for three days where the parents of arrested students tried soliciting her to not doing anything about the case.

“From the Medical Center, I went home and stayed for three weeks, during that time their parents were trying to bribe my family with between N3million to N5million.

“My family declined as my mother and brothers were very supportive,” she said.

Miss Z said when she returned to school, the story was in the news and she was being harassed as a result.

“A journalist posted the story in Nairaland and Linda Ikeji blog and one of the defendants created a fake account revealing my identity.

“My photo was also taken by some of Chukwu (second defendant) and one Eddy (at large) in the school premises.

“The people who raped and defiled me are in the same clique, they went to the same secondary school called ISL, I don’t know the full name of the secondary school, ”
she said.

Justice Sururat Soladoye adjourned the case until March 18 for cross-examination of Miss Z. (NAN)

We are so greedy we have no shame, self respect or integrity. We just want money and power even if it doesn’t come with respect. Africa is a shameless continent, that greed is making us play right into the hands of the western world.
I weep for Africa.

If after 50 years of independence you have not built the necessary infrastructure for your people, are you humans?

If you sit on gold, diamond, oil, manganese, uranium… and your people don’t have food, are you humans?

“If to stay in power, you buy weapons from strangers to kill your own citizens, are you humans?

“If you despise and shoot your own citizens like game, who will respect them?”

Taking to Twitter, Dele Momodu wrote:

My dear WAZIRIN, as a believer, you are aware that only God can give or take power. You’ve written your name in gold. Do not wait a minute longer. Please, pick that phone and call President Muhammadu Buhari. You have much more to gain Sir… Pass on the burden!

My dear WAZIRIN, to cut a long tale short, many lives have been wasted, many citizens have been brutally injured, and the results have virtually been declared, and the direction is all too obvious. And this is where you come in, as tempers rise, left, right and centre…
