American Singer, R. Kelly was taken into custody after arriving Friday night at a Chicago police precinct, hours after authorities announced multiple charges of aggravated sexual abuse involving four victims, including at least three between the ages of 13 and 17.
The 52-year-old singer, whose real name is Robert Kelly, was driven to the station in a dark colored van with heavily tinted rear windows.
The vehicle pulled up outside the precinct about 8:15 p.m. and a security detail for Kelly kept reporters and cameramen at arms’ length as he exited the side door.
Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi tweeted a short time later that he was under arrest.
Kelly did not respond to questions from reporters as he walked inside the building. He was expected to be held overnight before an appearance Saturday in bond court.

Musa Ibrahim, a BDC operator, who spoke to TheCable from Lagos Island, said he bought $20,000 from the CBN at 357 per dollar.
“We collected from CBN today at the rate of N357, and each BDC operator is entitled to $20, 000,” he said.

The wife of the President, Aisha Muhammadu Buhari, has sparked up an Uproar online for Nigerians to choose between poverty and wealth in tomorrow’s presidential election.
Aisha Buhari, while presenting empowerment packs to 1,250 women and youths from the six area councils of the Federal Capital Territory in Abuja, on Thursday asked Nigerians to “decide whether the poor should become poorer and the rich richer or a society where the gap begins to be reduced.”
In a statement by her media adviser Adebisi, Olumide Ajayi, quoted Mrs. Buhari, as saying that “poverty is one of the indices that encourage people to embrace vices like terrorism, kidnapping, and begging.
Aisha statement has since been met with criticisms and diverse reaction from Nigerians online.

Osmond Eweka, a member of the Benin royal family who was in 2018 arrested with his co-defendant, Kamel McKay for scamming 250 job seekers and raking in thousands of dollars from their unsuspecting victims has been served with a no-jail sentence.
The 31-year-old appeared at the Manhattan Supreme Court where he was given a no-jail sentence, known in legal parlance as a conditional discharge.
According to NY Post, he previously copped to two counts of scheme to defraud and paid $50,000 in restitution as part of the sweetheart plea deal struck in December with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.
“Mr. Eweka chose to do what was best for his family and his newborn son,” said his lawyer, Thomas Kenniff. “He is pleased with the court’s decision to sentence him without jail time and now looks forward to resuming a law-abiding life.”
His co-defendant, Kamel McKay, pleaded guilty to the same charges in exchange for one year in jail.
The defendants allegedly targeted job seekers on indeed.com, promising to find them work, including as front-desk receptionists and hotel housekeepers, in exchange for a fee of between $300 and $700, court records show.
After interviewing the victims and collecting their fee, the alleged fraudsters would send them to work sites, where they were turned away by employers who weren’t expecting them. The confused job seekers were then unable to get in touch with Eweka, McKay or their bogus employment agencies.
The duo pocketed $54,000 in fees and didn’t provide a single job, according to prosecutors.
Eweka, who married an attorney in 2016 in an elaborate wedding ceremony in Nigeria, allegedly operated the bogus employment agency scam out of an Empire State Building office under the alias Sean Jackson.

A senior chief pilot has been filmed sleeping in the cockpit of his Boeing 747 – the pilot, who has nearly 20 years of flight experience, was captured in the act by his co-pilot.
The video shows the chief officer with his eyes closed and his head down as he sits in the main seat of the cockpit.
He has not been named but he is said to be the airline’s most senior Boeing 747 pilot, and mainly flies the Tokyo, Okinawa, Seoul and Hong Kong routes.
The chief pilot is also an instructor in charge of simulations at the China Airlines Flight Training Center. The video surfaced just days after China Airlines pilots ended a seven-day strike over issues including pilot fatigue and long working hours.
Taiwan’s flag carrier, which has its headquarters in Taoyuan International Airport, has responded to the incident saying the clip was filmed before the most recent strikes took place.
Meanwhile, the unnamed pilot has received “adequate punishment” for ignoring flight safety procedures, a statement from China Airlines said.
China Airlines has also suggested the co-pilot who filmed and released the video may also be punished for choosing to record the clip instead of waking his senior officer up.

According to the gossip website, many of the “Empire” actors are “f**king furious” and feel if FOX honchos don’t fire Jussie, he should quit on his own because he doesn’t deserve a spot on the hit show.
The feelings of animosity come from the fact everyone on set had Jussie’s back after the alleged attack, but in light of the new evidence police have laid out many of them feel hurt and embarrassed.

On Friday morning, two suspected human traffickers were apprehended for trafficking some Nigerians to Libya with the promise of taking them to Europe.
The suspects (named withheld) were apprehended after they were identified by their victims during the profiling of 164 Nigerians who voluntarily returned from the volatile North African country.
Ibrahim Farinloye, a spokesperson for the National Emergency Management Agency, South West Zone, confirmed the development to newsmen in Lagos saying the suspected traffickers have been handed over to officials of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons for further investigation.
According to him, the two men were among the new batch of 164 returnees who arrived the Cargo Wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos about 12.15am on Friday.
He said the Nigerians were brought by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) and the European Union (EU) under the Assisted Voluntary Returnees Programme that would end in April 2020.
Farinloye said,
“The returnees were brought onboard a chartered Al Burag Airline Boeing 737-800 aircraft with registration number 5A-DMG. Upon profiling, the returnees consisted of 71 female adults, 17 female children and six female infants.
There were also 55 male adults 13 male children and two male infants. Among them were three returnees with medical cases and a pregnant woman who was in labour upon arrival in Nigeria.”
