The #10YearsChallenge started trending few hours ago on social media as people share online their decade old photo by the side of their current one with the hashtag.
Facebook and Instagram particularly has been clouded with posts of different people partaking in the trend and while we’re laughing and inspired by the photos, we’re rather astonished by one that caught our eye.
This lady, pictured, has left us stunned after she shared before and after photos of her backside, a decade after – her post has since garnered a lot of attention from users.
A student of Abia State University has had us in laughs as he narrated the quite funny way he handled a sassy student who tried to be smart with him during his class.
Chris Ifeanyi, who volunteered to teach high school students to pass time as the ASUU strike continues, said he asked a question in class and one of his students gave a sarcastic reply. Other students expected him to punish the girl and waited with trepidation but he had other thoughts.
He narrated the incident, writing:
I volunteered to teach some secondary school students literature while ASUU thinks its my destiny they are playing with. A bell went off and since I am not yet familiar with their bell signals, I asked the class if that bell was for going home.
One girl answered with side talk “No sir it’s for assembly”
I heard her, the class heard her too and took to that hushing silence of trepidation as per someone has spoken out of turn and should expect the worst ? ? ?
“Class, do you all realise what she just did?”
“She just insulted you”
“Oh no, she gave us an example in figures of speech, Sarcasm. And for a topic we have not yet broached Emmanuella has displayed excellent wisdom hence, she’d be leading the discussion in our next class which would be figures of speech” I changed scheme of work ? ? ?
“I’m sorry Mr Chris, I was just playing”
“it’s alright my dear, the best way to learn is by playing”
You will die on top of question tomorrow, you think you can talk anyhow

The Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, Ile-Ife, has commenced exams for its students despite the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.
The school on Monday commenced its 2017/2018 second semester exams.
Recall that ASUU had, on November 4 2018, embarked on industrial action. Since then, academic activities have been suspended in various universities.
However, some departments in OAU are carrying on with academics as they have lecturers who are not members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities. The lecturers said they are members of the Congress Of Nigeria University Academics, CONUA, adding that the industrial action was not binding on them.
Students of English and Literary Studies department have been receiving lectures and sat for exams on Monday. The university’s public relations officer, Abiodun Olarenwaju told TheCable that the school calendar would not be extended.
“There’s nothing that suggests we are going to extend any calendar. Don’t let us be speculative, when we get to the bridge we will cross it.
“The senate of the university is in charge of the academic activities, if they find it to extend, they will and if not, there’s nothing anybody can do about it. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and don’t let us be speculative
“Whether they are going to extend it or not has not stopped the students from reading, they should read.”
A dog owner, Sasha Smajic, 37, spent over £4000 ( N1, 872, 480) on giving her late dog, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier named Captain, a lavish funeral, Metro UK has reported.
Smajic said, Captain, who was eleven years old deserved the same respect as any family member. Captain died on Christmas Day after suffering a cardiac arrest on the operating table.
Smajic said she didn’t eat for a week after his death. In total, she spent £4,249 on the funeral, including £225 on a dove release and another £620 on getting his name written in flowers.
The dog owner said, “I don’t think I’ll ever celebrate another Christmas. I don’t think I would ever have the strength to do that. A piece of me has gone.”
Captain’s body was taken from the vets in a horse-drawn carriage to a park where he used to go for walks. His coffin was then transferred to a hearse for the 40-minute drive to Willow Haven Cemetery in Bedmond, Hertfordshire.
Cemetery owner Maureen Beach read a poem at Captain’s graveside with 11 doves – one for each year of his life – being released at 2pm during the service after he was lowered into the ground.
Afterwards, Sasha went to the pub where she put a plate of chicken and chips on the table “as that is what he would have had”.
Sasha said, “Captain deserved a special send off. For some people he was a dog, to me he was my baby – he was everything to me and always will be.”

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) says its presidential candidate, President Buhari, may choose not to attend the 2019 presidential debate slated for Saturday January 19th if he feels there are other viable options with which he can speak to Nigerians.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Lanre Issa-Onilu, said this in an interview with Daily Independent. He said the APC will look at several options through which President Buhari will engage Nigerians, adding that there is no big deal if it believes debate is not one of such means.
“What is special about presidential debate? Presidential debate is one of the several platforms for presidential candidates to engage with the public. As a party, we will look at all the options and pick the ones that we can accommodate and those that will be impactful and effective in achieving our goals. We will be the ones to determine that. If presidential debate happens to be one of that, fine.
“If it wasn’t, then it is no big deal. There is nothing special about any debate. It is just one of the several platforms to engage the electorate” he said.
Meanwhile, The apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo has charged President Muhammadu Buhari to attend the upcoming presidential debate.
Speaking with DAILY POST, Chuks Ibegbu, the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the organisation, said Buhari must not send a proxy to the debate.
He stated this while reacting to the decision of Buhari to handover his reelection campaign to a national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu.
Buhari had disclosed his decision while inaugurating the APC Presidential Council, at the International Conference Centre, ICC, in Abuja, last week Monday.
Also, the National Publicity Secretary of APC, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, had disclosed that Buhari may not attend the debate if he feels there are other viable options with which he can engage Nigerians.
However, Ibegbu stressed that Buhari must appear in person and not Tinubu because he, the president, needs to tell Nigerians what he has done since assuming office.
According to Ibegbu: “We can’t preempt anything because we are not part of Buhari’s programme but he has a moral duty to talk to his people on why he wants to rule for another four years.
“He has to come and talk to Nigerians on what he has done in the past four years and what he intends to do in the next four years, he can’t do it by proxy.
“If he doesn’t talk to Nigerians then he has no moral right to lead us. Tinubu or no Tinubu he must tell Nigerians in person what he has done in the last three and half years and it must not be by proxy.”

Nigerian photographer and actor, Toni Tones reacts to an Instagram post by Skuki in which he stated that ‘any woman who calls herself king is a weak woman’, told him to stop policing women.
Skuki who disclosed that he gets surprised when women try to act like men just to show strength, had written;
It baffles me when some women try to act like men, just to show strength! #deadmove . Only weak women abandon their GOD-GIVEN FEMININE POWERS and try to be WHO THEY’RE NOT! . Think about it- Apart from physical strength, how much stronger than a woman is a man? . NOTE: Humans are both PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL. Men are stronger on the physical end, while women are stronger on the spiritual end. . Do you know why a man can have an orgasm in a minute?- It’s because his libido is tuned to the physical side of sex . Whether his mind is fully there or not, he would thrust-thrust and ejaculate . But a WOMAN who is MORE OF A SPIRITUAL BEING, has a libido that is more in tune with her spirit-side. . She needs to have her mind and thoughts in one place, before she gets a FULFILLING orgasm. . NOW LISTEN- Science proves that a woman’s orgasm is 9 times more intense than a man’s own. That right there, is SPIRITUAL ACCESS TO SEXUAL PLEASURE – Men don’t have that! . And so it goes in all other aspects of life! MEN ARRIVE FIRST, BUT WOMEN ARRIVE BETTER! . Even with SPERMS- which are the seeds of life! The male-sperm is faster, but the female-sperm is stronger. . DO YOU GET IT NOW??? Where a man’s strength stops, a woman’s own begins… . Therefore the women who try to imitate men are on a lost course… and apparently there are a lot of them in this generation!
However reacting to this, Toni Tones who advised Skuki to channel same energy to men who need more policing, added that someone calling themselves “King” does not make them weak. According to her, Skuki shouldn’t be bothered with what anybody chooses to call themselves. She wrote;
However the singer who dropped a rejoinder after the backlash he got, wrote;
Replying to my last post about ‘WOMEN WHO CALL THEMSELVES KINGS’ some people commented: . COMMENT 1: If a woman has been through hell, and she feels she has completed a masculine feat, then she is free to call herself KING” . MY RESPONSE: The fact that you feel you must compare your STRENGTH to that of a man, before it can be SEEN as ‘strength’ shows your lack of faith in your feminine powers . With this contradicting-mentality, you BETRAY your gender, more than you stand for it. . COMMENT 2: Some men call themselves lions, just to show they are strong. So there’s nothing wrong with a woman calling herself KING, just to show she’s strong . MY RESPONSE: As a man it’s flattering that you compare yourself to us, just to feel strong. Thank you! . But I hope you know with your statement, you have totally de-valued the unique strength of QUEENS . I don’t know who did this to you, but this way-of-thinking, oozes of inferiority complex. . When a man describes himself as a lion, he speaks STRICTLY in terms of physical strength, and in that case he AGREES that the lion is ONLY physically-stronger. . So are you saying you agree that men are more powerful than women? . What are you representing exactly? . You want EQUALITY OF THE SEXES to be a reality, yet you’re denouncing your reality as a woman, to fight for the reality-of-women ???????? . Maybe you don’t realize it, but YOU HAVE DECAMPED!… lol. You have simply joined the men, and now YOU’RE FIGHTING WOMANHOOD
