Egyptian Actress Sued For Wearing This Revealing Dress (Photos)

An Egyptian actress who wore a revealing dress to the Cairo Film Festival is to go on trial on charges of “inciting debauchery”.

What appears as an innocent attempt to move with the fashion of the time has turned into a looming jail term for an Egyptian actress. Rania Youssef an Egyptian actress wore a black, lacy, transparent outfit that exposed most of her legs, to the displeasure of many Egyptians, although some opine she has a right to wear what she wants.

According to reports the Egyptian actress who wore a revealing dress at the Cairo Film Festival has been charged of “inciting debauchery.”

A judicial source told AFP that she could serve five years if she is found guilty. Ms Youssef apologised and said she would not have worn the dress if she had known it will cause such contention.

She was sued by two lawyers Amro Abelsalam and Samir Sabri who are well known for taking celebrities to court.

One of the lawyers Mr Sabri told AFP that her appearance “did not meet societal values, traditions and morals and therefore undermined the reputation of the festival and the reputation of Egyptian women in particular.”

The Egyptian Actors’ Syndicate also criticised the “appearance of some of the guests”, which it said “undermined the festival and the union”.

The actress via a social media post said she had”probably miscalculated” in choosing to wear the dress.

“It was the first time that I wore it and I did not realise it would spark so much anger,” she said.

“I reaffirm my commitment to the values upon which we were raised in Egyptian society,” she added.

My voice got better after plane crash – Plane crash survivor, Kechi Okwuchi reveals

Plane crash survivor Kechi Okwuchi, who was one of the finalists of America’s Got Talent show in 2017, has revealed that her voice got better after the accident.

Speaking to Punch Nigeria, Saturday Beats about her life after the show, Okwuchi noted that she still could not explain how her voice got better after the plane crash. She referred to it as a miracle that she would never forget. She said;

“My voice after the plane crash is one of those miracles I can’t explain. My voice became significantly better than it was before the plane crash. I remember when I was still in the hospital; my mum will always put a music player by my bed. There was a time she was playing one of my favourite albums, and I was singing along; I can still remember the moment when my mum and I were surprised that my voice sounded better than it used to before the accident.

“We just saw it as something positive in the midst of all the ugly things that happened after the accident. I just ran with it, my voice really changed. It was an escape for me, and I was able to sing my sorrows away. It was very strange, I still can’t explain it,”

Nigerian man says once you are tested HIV positive, you are dead

A Nigerian man identified as Nwankwo Ogechi Peter believes once you test positive for HIV, that is the end for you.

Yesterday December 1st was celebrated as World’s AIDS day and the young man took to his Facebook page to voice out his opinion on the dreaded disease.

He further stated, in his post, that the best remedy is to remain faithful to a partner and it is not even guaranteed that condoms can even stop one from contracting the disease.

Read his post:

Today is world HIV & aids day, many are saying have a test and know your status and live happily that testing positive for HIV & aids is not the end of the world, but I said it is the end of the world because you can never think rightly again, every of your thoughts will be towards there all time.

No matter how hard counselors tried to advice you once you are positive to HIV you are positive and your health condition can never be the same again and only thing that will be coming to your mind is dead, that is the simple truth, putting on condom moving from different people and claim you are protected that you play safe is a big lie.

The best advice anyone can give you is to be faithful with the person you are sexing with, either your date or your wife/ husband and make sure that your partner is faithful to you too, i know is difficult to say stop sex, because is not even 1% possible but being faithful to your relationship is 100% safe for the both partners that remains faithfully to themselves.

Don’t be deceived with condom because is not 60% safe. don’t say you are not keeping much friends, is not about the quantity of friends you keep, you can keep millions of friends and be faithful to that one person whenever it comes to sex and be 100% safe, but keeping 2 or 3 friends and sexing with them claiming you are safe, is a big lie, you are not safe even 1%, you are not my dear, my own advice to you all out there is to be faithful and make sure your partner is faithful to you too and be 100% safe.

Happy new month to you all

Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury fight ends in split draw

Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury fought to a split draw Saturday night, with the American retaining his WBC heavyweight title for an eighth time after knocking down his British challenger twice, Daily Telegraph reports.

But it was a dramatic contest, and a bewildering performance from the self-proclaimed Gypsy King, whose movement and footwork, slipping and sliding allowed him to win most of the rounds. But when Wilder landed, he was dangerous, flooring Fury in the ninth and twelfth rounds.

Fury did well to recover from the second knockdown as Jack Reiss counted him. Somehow, Fury got back to his feet and even had an exhausted Wilder in trouble.

Judge Robert Tapper scored the fight 114-112 for Fury, while Alejandro Rochin favored Wilder 115-111. Judge Phil Edwards, the only British judge, scored it a 113-113 draw.

While the fight played out exactly in favor of each fighter’s strengths as Fury controlled by boxing with constant feints and awkward angles while Wilder (40-0-1, 39 KOs) picked his spots to land heavy counter shots which threatened to end the fight.

But the bigger story was the 30-year-old Fury’s ability to come back from so much turmoil outside the ring and regain his prime form of three years ago despite a lengthy battle with mental illness, substance abuse and a period in which he ballooned to as high as 400 pounds in 2017.

“We’re on away soil, I got knocked down twice, but I still believe I won that fight,” Fury said. “I’m being a total professional here. I went to Germany to fight [Wladimir] Klitschko [in 2015] and I went to America to fight Deontay Wilder. God bless America. The ‘Gypsy King’ has returned.

We now anoint pants out of fear of Yahoo Boys – Warri girls

Warri girls

With the current rate at which Yahoo Boys are now hunting for ladies’ pants, Warri girls, according to a report by Sunday Vanguard, are now taking the caution to anoint pants before putting it on.

It was gathered that undies, particularly of girls between the ages of 16 to 32, are hot cakes for use by ritualists. One pant, according to some residents, sells for as high as N250,000.

The price can be higher when the ‘boys’ confirm “ through science that the girl has not done any abortion”, Esther, another resident in the area, said. The pants are allegedly used for money ritual.

“After they finish with the pants, their owners will lose their wombs which is the real ritual”, Esther added.
Alero, who lives with her parents, said she has three adult sisters. The anointing oil and holy water, according to her, had the capacity to neutralize any evil plan of Yahoo Boys on their pants.

For Tamera, a charming lady in her late 20’s on Jakpa Road, she and her mother no longer hang their underwears on the rope outside the flat in the compound where they live.

“Because of Yahoo Boys, we no longer hang our underwears on ropes outside the flat in our compound. We live with five other tenants in our compound. There are boys in the compound too” She said
With the current rate at which Yahoo Boys are now hunting for ladies’ pants, Warri girls, according to a report by Sunday Vanguard, are now taking the caution to anoint pants before putting it on.

Since we heard the news, we have been hanging our pants in the bathroom; whether they get dry or not is no longer the issue.

We sometimes use hot iron on them to get properly dry”. When asked if they also handled their braziers in like manner, her response was spontaneous, “Yes o. No difference between pants and braziers. We hide them very well now. Ladies pants na mega bucks for Warri”.

There is also an unconfirmed incident at a shopping centre in Warri where a Yahoo Boy allegedly offered a girl fifty thousand naira to just caress her. It was a good deal , the girl thought , after all he was not going to have sex.

So they reportedly hopped into the guy’s car. After the guy finished, transfer of cash allegedly done to her account, she went to the convenience to freshen up.

“It was at the toilet she bled to death. Her friend who was with her that night was the one that raised the alarm, narrated all that happened to everyone”, a lady who did not want her name in print said.

Despite the seeming extra care on the part of many girls not to fall victim of Yahoo ritualists, some of the Yahoo Boys, Street Boys, Everywhere Stew Guys, as they are called in Warri, oftentimes boast, according to residents, “Baba God will always provide data for subscription”.

Data here means whatever they need for ritual while subscription means renewal of ritual to sustain cash flow, Vanguard reports.

Why I’m yet to declare any political ambition – Alibaba reveals

Veteran comedian, Alibaba, in a recent interview has revealed why he has not yet considered declaring any political ambition.

While speaking Sunday Scoop, he stated that he didn’t have faith in the Nigerian political system and he will never run for a political post in this present-day Nigeria.

He said:

“I think Banky W and other entertainers running for political offices have a stronger belief in the system than I do. I don’t think there can be credible elections when the voting system is not credible. That has been my fear. Also, we are still practising money politics, which means that an individual with the biggest pocket takes the slot.”

He maintained that it would be hard for anyone to drive a change as the person would have to work with the existing constitution.

The comedian said:

“I don’t understand why the person who used the maze to hit the head of his colleague in the Senate is still there. Once you have embarrassed the chamber, you should be thrown out. Why are they yet to prosecute the people who went into the chamber and carried the maze?

Why should it take so long to put people who said a snake swallowed money in jail? When the constitution is strengthened and the political scene is convenient for people who don’t use money to contest elections, then I can go into politics.”

It’s not a sin to drink alcohol – Born-again artiste Lynxx says

Nigerian singer and rapper Chukie Edozien, popularly referred to as Lynxx, has said it is not a sin to drink alcohol as the 1st miracle Jesus performed in the Bible had to do with transforming water into an alcoholic drink.

The rapper had reportedly been seen smoking at social functions but he had never addressed the issue.

While refusing to comment on reports of him smoking, he told Sunday Scoop:

“It is not a sin to drink (alcohol). What was Jesus’ first miracle in the Bible? He turned water to wine. I still hang out with my old friends in the entertainment industry.”

He argued that despite being a born-again Christian, he wasn’t doing gospel music.

He said,

“I am born-again, but I am not doing gospel music and I don’t do secular music again too. I cannot call myself a minister of God just because I performed at a gospel show. I don’t have a name for my kind of music. If I feel like praising God today, I will make a song about God, and it doesn’t necessarily mean I am a gospel artiste.”

Lynxx stated that he hadn’t released a new song in a while because he took time off music.

“I took a break because I needed to focus on business and my new found relationship with God in 2015. You could have a career but also have goals that might not be in line with what you do for a living. Sometimes, you have to make sacrifices and focus on other things before you get back to what you are known for,” he said.

The rapper maintained that he had never regretted his decision to quit secular music. He added:

“God is the most important thing to me. You can never experience Christ in His true form and regret it. I don’t think there is anyone who can tell me that they have encountered the Holy Spirit and regretted it. It is impossible!”

After performing at the Catholic Church’s Unusual Praise concert two years ago, Lynxx explained why he didn’t perform at this year’s edition.

“I didn’t perform because I am now part of the community putting things together. I also wanted to experience the show, the worship and the praises. For me, I found fulfillment and joy in that,” he added.

Atiku Abubakar reveals how he is going to defeat Boko Haram

Atiku Abubakar reveals

Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has revealed part of his plans on how he intends to defeat Boko Haram, if elected into office.

According to the former Vice President, since terrorists are themselves human beings, and recruit their members from the local populace, he would make it tough for them to replenish their ranks by working for and with local communities.

He, however, stressed that for whatever anti-terror plan to work, it must have the buy-in of the people “because terror can only thrive where there is local support.

Take that local support structure away and the terror architecture will collapse like a pack of cards.

“Terrorists are themselves human beings. Terror groups depend on recruiting from the local communities to replenish their ranks or they cannot grow. The members of Boko Haram are not spirits and while there definitely is some foreign influence, the overwhelming number of their leadership and followers are members of the local population.”

The former Vice President said that central to his team’s plans “for defeating terror therefore must be to find out why young men in those communities are aggrieved enough to be alienated from Nigeria and attracted to the radical philosophy of Boko Haram and ISWAP.

When we find out, we must prevent this alienation from occurring.”

Atiku, who established a nexus between the distribution of wealth and the alienation effect said:

“within Nigeria, the heartland of the terror insurgency is the Northeast, with Borno and Yobe states being the hardest hit. Surely, it cannot be a coincidence that the Northeast is also the most economically backward part of Nigeria with Borno and Yobe states worst affected.”

The PDP flag bearer regretted that when the leadership of a nation fails to provide positive avenues for the young to assert their intelligence positively, they will always find other ways to deploy or express their innate abilities negatively.

“To defeat terrorism therefore, we need to arm our military and motivate them with good working conditions and terms of services, especially for the
lower ranks, who face the greatest risks and are the least paid. We need to demonstrate that when you fight for Nigeria, Nigeria will fight for you, but even more importantly, we must show that when you die in the services of Nigeria, your name and your survivors will be celebrated by the society that you died for.

“We must also help our military win the hearts and minds of the people of the Northeast by empowering them to open soup kitchens where they give food
to the hungry. We must encourage them to set up field hospitals where they treat the local population free of charge. Even something as giving each soldier a pocketful of sweets to handout to little children on the streets will help the military win the love and affection of the local population and turn their allegiance to our armed forces,” Atiku submitted.

4 boys drown in beach while trying to rescue their friend who survived

4 boys drown

The remains of the four boys who drown in beach while making attempt to rescue their friend at the Bosumtwi-Sam Fishing Harbour in Sekondi, Ghana last Sunday, were laid to rest yesterday after a burial service was held for them at Ketan in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis.

According to sources, the deceased were part of about 15 youths who had gone to the Skyy Beach Haven, near the fishing harbour, to have fun on that fateful day.

The names of the deceased, who were all residents of Ketan near Sekondi, were given as Frank Amankwaa aka ‘Juju,’ 18, and a final-year student of a senior high school at Sekondi and Joseph Bonful, 20, former student of a technical school in Takoradi.

The rest are Agya Ackon, aka “Off” and one Evans, who was a welder at Ketan, near Sekondi.

Surprisingly, the person the four persons attempted to rescue, whose name was given only as Julius, 19, and a member of a local brass band group, survived.

Julius is currently receiving treatment at the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Sekondi.

The bodies of the four persons were retrieved last Monday morning and were deposited at the morgue of the same hospital.

Daily Guide learnt that one of the revellers decided to swim in the sea. When he got near the sea, he saw someone drowning and raised the alarm for the three other boys to join him.

They jumped into the sea and attempted to rescue the individual. Unfortunately, the four, who decided to help, died while the one, who was allegedly drowning, survived eventually.

A source in the area asserted that there was no rescue team in the vicinity and the onlookers were not willing to help resulting in the death of the other persons.

Relations of the deceased persons, who were present at the burial ceremony yesterday, could not hold back their tears as they were joined by well-wishers to bid farewell to their sons.

The classmates and friends of the four deceased were inconsolable as they wept bitterly when the caskets were taken from the service ground.

People who bashed me for my joke on power supply are stupid – Dee One says

Former Big Brother Naija contestant Dee One, who was recently bashed over his joke of power supply in Nigeria, has called his critics stupid for not understanding the undertone his joke carried.

Recall the comedian recently uploaded uploaded a video where he argued that Nigerians did not deserve to have 24-hour electricity supply. Watch here ICYMI

He told Sunday Scoop that he was just joking. He said,

“It was sarcasm. There is nobody that doesn’t need electricity. Those bashing me for that post are very stupid because I’m not the government.

If they want to bash anybody, it should be the government. I always tell people to use their gifts to address serious issues. Poor electricity supply is a very big problem in Nigeria and it’s part of the things setting us back.

If people can channel their frustrations to the government with the same vigour (they attacked me online), I believe things will be much better. It’s only in Nigeria that we take comedians seriously and we take politicians as jokers.

“Trending on the Internet doesn’t give one money; it just puts you out there. And if it puts you out there, it then depends on what you’re able to do with the attention.”

Speaking on his relationship with fellow Big Brother ex-housemates, Dee one said,

“I am cool with all of them. Friends will always fight, but after that, we try to reach a common ground and move forward. Personally though, I am done with all that Big Brother drama; that era has passed. Right now, I want to be known and addressed as a comedian, not as a former BBN contestant.”

Responding to people who say that he is not funny, he said,

“I can bet that most people who say I am not funny have never seen me perform. I just did my stand-up comedy show and everyone who attended had a good time. Many people just talk based on what they see online.

Meanwhile, I cannot be funny to everybody. I have my target audience. I am not the type of comedian that would give free jokes on the Internet. It is business for me. If I put out my content for free, why then does anybody have to pay to watch me?

These days, every Tom, Dick and Harry can be found on the Internet claiming to be comedians and giving materials away. However, I don’t blame them because I know they are looking for publicity. But, for someone like me, who already has the publicity, I don’t need all that. I was a professional before I went into the Big Brother House.

Big Brother did not pay me to do jokes, so I abided by the rules and regulations of the game. It’s sad that these days, people are used to getting free things. My advice to people who think I’m not funny is that they should come and watch me. I run a comedy club alongside Omobaba and SLK, and I’ve been doing it for five years.”

Actress Yetunde Aderibigbe acquires a Benz for herself for the new month

Delectable actress, Yetunde ADeribigbe has acquired for herself a new Benz as a new month gift to herself.

Yetunde has joined the long list of Nigerian Entertainers who bought a new car in 2018.

She shared a photo of the new car she bought herself, wrote on Instagram; “My new month gift???THANK YOU LORD??? #happynewmoth”

Some Instagram users have since reacted to her new acquisition. Some are of the opinion that she was gifted the car by one of her big god.. While some congratulated her for acquiring the luxurious ride via her hard-work and sweat.

This is coming after her colleague Iyabo Ojo took to the gram to express her disgust with the level of gossip, envy and falseness that exists in the Nollywood industry.

According to her, this doesn’t happen only with the women, but also with the men. Posting on her Instagram page, Iyabo Ojo shares how the celebrities are so good at faking their relationship with their colleagues and then seek validation on social media.

She wrote,

MY INDUSTRY, I JUST CAN’T COMPREHEND!!! Gossip, Envy, Faux, Backstabbing & Biting the list goes on………….

UNFORTUNATELY MEN ARE NOT LEFT OUT…. WHAT A SHAME!!!

We never truly support our own, we’re just friends when it suits. How well we’re perfect deceiving our fans…. that’s why we are ACTORS.

Can I just hint y’all that we are just colleagues in some shit competition that no one understands, unfortunately not only two can play the game…. but hundreds can play the role.
But then, why can’t we all understand that we are all different, unique in different ways, aspiring to be more successful.

Have you ever come to terms that fingers are never equal? Be grateful for what you have and stop seeking someone else’s downfall…. or is the character included in the script?.

Oh yes, we get along with some, yet we are mindful of our utterances because all they wanna know is your. Then we act for the gram where we seek validation for our not so real relationships …. problems starts when you refuse to let them into your business, you become a rival and a threat… boom, they start rewriting the script…… and when they’re done destroying you, they move to the next gullible victim….. Damn, we are professionals in this field… Trust me.

What about the motivational writers …. The script gets changed every seconds, at least to suit them….. The victim players… awon rumour mongers. Don’t be fooled……Watch, Learn, get entertained & move on.

We are all acting.. 20 years of entertainment, different roles, same game…. Trust me when I say, the game is not for a leaner… you gotta to be rooted. It’s unexplainable…

.. Don’t be fooled our industry is a make-believe world…. …

Keep ur circle small & keep ur shit to urself …If u know, u know. Straight from d heart….

Men are afraid to approach me because I am famous — Khloe

Former Big Brother Naija contestant and fashion entrepreneur, Khloe has opened up in a new interview that men are afraid to approach her just because of her fame.

She made this revelation in the interview with Tofariti Ige, where she also talked about her career, family, lifestyle and how the reality TV show has reshaped her life.

Read excerpts below:

Background

I was born on October 29, 1993, in Lagos State to Mr. and Mrs. Abiri. I am the second child of the family but the first daughter and I am from Ekiti State.

I have many great childhood memories. However, I will say that my best memory as a child was the day my parents finally agreed to enrol me in my secondary school’s hostel. That had been my dream and prayer point from when I was in JSS One. It finally happened when I got to my senior class and till date I cherish the experience.

Education

For my secondary education, I attended Lagos State Model College, Meiran, Lagos State. I graduated with a degree in Accounting from the Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

Before BBN

I had been in the industry for years before Big Brother Naija came up. I was a commercial model and I worked with some known brands and adverts. I was a video vixen for a while but I stopped that in 2018. Right before BBN, I was into fashion designing.

Big Brother Naija

It was a shocking experience because that wasn’t the first audition I had appeared at. I tried out at the audition for Big Brother Africa and the audition of BBN before the one I finally became a housemate at, but I never got a pass. I promised myself that I would strive to get into the one I finally got picked in for January this year. I put in my best and God crowned my effort with success. It was such a great and surreal experience that money cannot buy. There were times I wanted to just go back home but I always say a strong woman doesn’t quit until she is done and that was the drive I had to endure and enjoy the confinement in the house. I’m grateful for the opportunity. If I had another chance to go for BBN and stay that long in the house, I don’t know if I would accept or not.

After BBN

I will say BBN has put more attention on me and my brand but I honestly wasn’t doing badly before I got into the house. I was known and well recognised but not as much as now though. Now, I am known all over the continent and that is the added advantage I got from the BBN platform. There is still the hustle and hard work but now I double the hustle and triple the price.

Parents’ reaction

I am very blessed to have the kind of parents I do. When I told them I was going in for BBN and had made it into the house, they prayed and blessed me. When I came back home from the show, they were very supportive and adored me even more. They are my number one fans. You know the saying, “Blood is thicker than water”.

Challenges

Apart from the backlash I get on social media, all is well. I believe that a life without challenges is not one worth living. Challenges are there to help one grow and learn and I’m picking up very fast from the challenges that life throws at me. I don’t regret them.

Controversies

What people think or say about me is not my problem and it does not affect me. Their perception of me does not define me nor does it decrease me. I know who I am. My family and friends know me and that is what really matters.

I have heard that I have a daughter that I abandoned. That is the height and it is very annoying. People say a lot of nonsense when their mouth is itching.

Fame

It has been good but it only affects me relationship-wise because men are now scared to approach me or want to be serious (with me). They feel like there is a price tag that comes with fame but unbeknownst to them, I’m very much like any other lady. I’m saying this to my future man, Come close to me. I don’t bite.

Current projects

Right now, I am working on my brand as a public person. I am trying to ensure that I have a solid brand that will push me even higher. I am also working on branding my new designs and most especially, my natural organic skincare line which is about to be launched. Finally, I am working on some collaborations. Those are the things you should watch out for from me.

Role models

My role models are Genevieve Nnaji, Rihanna, Cardi B, Annie Idibia, Toke Makinwa, among others.

Hobbies

Funnily enough, I love being in a dark room, watching horror movies alone. I love the night life and also love to explore.

Relaxation

I usually relax by cuddling. I know this sounds like a joke but it is the truth.

Fashion

When it comes to dressing, I think I like Rihanna and like to channel my ‘inner Rihanna’. She can wear anything as long as she is comfortable in it. That’s the type of person I am.

‘We’re coming back O! Goodluck’ – Angry robbers leaves note behind at victim’s residence in Ogun State

Angry robbers leaves note behind

Robbers were left disappointed after meeting the absence of their victims in his home, which made them leave a note threatening to come back.

The incident happened at Grace Estate, in Iyesi area of Ado Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State, after the robbers broke into a three-bedroom apartment when the occupants were away from home.

According to reports, the robbers were said to have made attempt to enter the apartment through the main entrance to the building, but they could not open the main door. It was said that the robbers broke into the building through the ceiling of an adjoining flat and carted away one of the electronic gadgets in the house.

They were also said to have made attempt to break into the rooms, but the doors were too strong for them to unlock or vandalise. Apparently frustrated over their not too successful operation caused by the absence of occupants of the building, the hoodlums were said to have left a note promising to return at no given date.

The note sighted by our correspondent reads: ‘’We are coming back o !!! Goodluck.’’ The incident was reported to the Obasanjo Farm Police Division, Ota. It was learnt that policemen from the division visited the scene, while the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the station had directed his men to embark on constant patrol and surveillance of the community to keep the gang in check.

Speaking with The Nation, the owner of the building, Dare Ogunyombo explained that he was away from home for some days with his family, when the gang visited his residence.

He said: ‘’the suspected robbers visited my residence while I was away from home with my wife and children. They ransacked the house and scattered everywhere.

I noticed that they fruitlessly tried to force their way into my apartment through the main door to the building. They however broke the ceiling of the next flat and entered my apartment through the roof, while they carted away a satellite television decoder in the living room.

They also made attempt to enter my room but the door was too strong for them to unlock or break. I guess they were in a hurry to rob and because they were frustrated, they left a note on the table threatening to come back for me and my family.’’
