Emile Ratelband, 69, argues that if transgender people are allowed to change sex, he should be allowed to change his date of birth because doctors said he has the body of a 45-year-old, UK Telegraph reports.
The entrepreneur and self-help guru is suing his local authority after they refused the amend his age on official documents.
Mr Ratelband’s case has now gone to a court in the city of Arnhmen in the eastern Dutch province of Gelderland.
The case has caused controversy in his homeland, with the Dutch edition of Vice, a news website, asking, “Is Emile Ratelband disturbed or accidentally extremely woke?”
Mr Ratelband was born on 11th March 1949, but says he feels at least 20 years younger and wants to change his birth date to 11th March 1969.
Mr Ratelband said:
“I have done a check-up and what does it show? My biological age is 45 years.
“When I’m 69, I am limited. If I’m 49, then I can buy a new house, drive a different car. I can take up more work.
“When I’m on Tinder and it say I’m 69, I don’t get an answer. When I’m 49, with the face I have, I will be in a luxurious position.
“Transgenders can now have their gender changed on their birth certificate, and in the same spirit there should be room for an age change.”
A little boy suffered an extreme brutality from his dad, yesterday, in Okigwe, Imo State, for allegedly being too stubborn.
The incident occurred in Okigwe, Imo state after the boy, believed to be 7, left home and his father had no idea of his whereabouts. When he finally returned, his father flogged him so much that the marks were visible on his back. He then proceeded to cut his son’s ear with a razor.
When neighbours intervened, the father told them that the boy is too stubborn and doesn’t listen.
The boy was eventually taken to the hospital where his ear is being treated.
A family has been thrown into mourning after two sisters were kidnapped by gunmen, leaving one dead and the other unconscious.
Esther Franz Uchechi, a graduate of Abia State University, Uturu (ABSU), was kidnapped along with her younger sister, Neche, a SS2 student. They were abducted in Imo state and taken to an undisclosed hideout in Anambra.
Neche was reportedly tortured to death, while Esther was found unconscious in a bush and rushed to the hospital by a priest.
Nigerian Singer, Davido, is of the opinion that musician, Mr Real (Legbegbe crooner), should bail incarcerated film maker, Seun Egbegbe after making money off his name.
Egbegbe has spent 20 months in prison over his inability to meet his bail conditions.
Davido said that if he were in Mr Real’s shoes, he would have bailed Seun Egbegbe.
He dropped the comment after Tunde Ednut threw shade at Mr Real for making money off another person’s crime, and name, not his own crime.
Tunde reposted a tweet by veteran actor, Ayo Shonaiya above his shade which read
“Seun Egbegbe has been on remand in jail for 20months because he couldn’t meet N5m bail condition. Meanwhile, a song about his (alleged) theft of iPhones has made well over N50m in Royalties. #Life”

Popular Nollywood actor, Femi Adebayo Salami has just escaped been attacked by gunmen around Ojota, Lagos state.
Femi Adebayo narrated that two gunmen wielding AK47s, attacked his vehicle in broad day light, around 7UP heading towards Ojota, Lagos state.
He wasn’t in the vehicle at that time and his driver was able to escape from the scene. He wrote;

Today, Just at the U turn coming from CMD Magodo around 7UP heading towards Ojota, my vehicle was accosted by men in a Toyota Corolla. They crossed my vehicle at the U Turn. 2 men alighted from the vehicle bearing AK47s. They tried to force the doors open. They kept hitting my car with the butt of their gun. In the process, they broke the door handle and left dents on different parts of my vehicle.
All these happened in full view of other vehicles and other individuals passing by. In the short time this happened, no one came to help. The guys were obviously not Policemen, they didn’t wear any Insigna of the force. They wore plain clothes and had extra guts to perform this act during the day at about 12 noon.
Their assumption will have been that I was in the vehicle but my driver was the only one enroute to my location. With swiftness, he was able to maneuver and speed off. I thank God for keeping him. We are all still shocked at this but grateful to God that no life was lost in the process. ?#FemiAdebayo

Popular Nigerian singer, Tekno Miles, has asked fans to pray for him as he is currently away receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness.
Apparently Tekno has been in the background because of his health and has been unable to chase up with work. In a note posted on Instagram, Tekno gave reasons why he has been away and unable to turn up at shows he was booked for.
Tekno disclosed he has been sick and has sought treatment and now steadily recovering. The ‘Choko’ crooner asked fans to say a prayer for his recovery.

A lawyer has narrated a horrific encounter she had with another road user. The lady, simply known as @thefitlawyerr on twitter, said she was assaulted at link bridge by a driver who scratched her car.
She said the Police interfered in the matter and and told the driver to go, blaming her.
According to the lady, she is an international law student and she said Nigeria is not an ant, not to talk of being the giant of Africa, compared to other African countries.

A man has raised alarm and exposed some beans sellers after he caught them using Sniper as a pesticide to kill weevils in beans.
Sniper is known to be a very dangerous insecticide that should be used outdoors and should never come in contact with food.
But, in a bid to make profit, the beans sellers used it to ensure their beans stays weevil-free.
The young man who saw them said he has seen this happen multiple times at Iddo market but they never listen to him whenever he challenges their unscrupulous practice.
A medical doctor has been trending online after he saved a child’s life by using a carton to improvise as an incubator.
Dr Chibuike Joseph Chukwudum, who works at a hospital in the southeastern part of Nigeria has been hailed a hero for his actions.
As there was no incubator available at the hospital where he works, he kept a fragile baby alive by creating an incubator with a carton. He then added hot water bottles and a source of light to keep the child as warm as possible.
Three people have been confirmed dead in a boat accident in Lagos. According to reports, the boat was conveying about twenty passengers enroute Ojo from Coconut jetty, a suburb in Lagos when the boat capsized in the middle of the sea.
Although there was yet to be a report on the state of safety of the remaining seventeen accident victims, but three were confirmed dead at the scene of the accident Wednesday night.
“Three people have died and five others missing as boat conveying 20 passengers capzised mid-sea in Lagos yesterday night,” a source told The Guardian.
“A 20-capacity passenger boat with 18 passengers and two crew members had capzised mid-sea enroute Ojo from Coconut jetty, a suburb in Lagos.”
However, efforts made to speak with the spokesperson for Lagos State Emergency Management Agency Kehinde Adebayo, proved abortive as phone calls were unreplied as at the time of filing this report.

Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, has ordered the closure of all beer parlours within the police community in the state.
His order comes after a police officer in the command, identified as Kadima Useni with appointment number 176219, was dismissed after a viral video of him showed him drunk while on duty around the Akowonjo, Dopemu area of the state.
The CP believes shutting down the beer parlours will avoid a recurrence of such and the dismissal of the officer will serve as a deterrent to others.
According to the state police command spokesperson, CSP Chike Oti, the Lagos police boss directed the officer in charge of the Command Provost Section to embark on tour of all police formations and barracks within the state with a view to identifying and shutting all beer parlours within the police community so as to prevent a re-occurrence of such an embarrassment.
In the same vein, the commissioner warned against offering policemen alcoholic drinks while on duty by members of the public. He added that henceforth any policeman found drunk on duty will be visited with similar punishment.
