The Presidency has on Sunday, October 28th, said it is an indication of idleness on the part of PDP and other Nigerians, to complain about Buhari not presenting his certificates to INEC.
It was earlier reported that President Buhari while submitting his presidential nomination form to INEC ahead of the February 2019 elections, presented a sworn affidavit instead of his certificates.
According to his affidavit, his credentials are still with the Nigerian Army where he was an officer until his retirement in 1985.
This has since draw widespread criticism, and in reaction, Femi Adesina who is the Special Adviser to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, told the Nation, that the certificate saga is a dead issue.
He said;
“The certificate saga is a dead issue, only idle people will consider it. It is something that had been laid to rest before the 2015 general elections. Those raising the issue (PDP and others) are idle and they have run out of ideas.
They see defeat staring them in the face and they are desperate to cling to any straw. This issue was resolved before the 2015 election. It is a matter of fact that when President Buhari and others joined the military, they took their original certificates from them.
The military knew where they kept the original certificates of the President. In fact, a former Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Alani Akinrinade corroborated that the military collected the original certificates of all its officers. The PDP believes it is going to lose the elections, and they will lose, and it is raising dust over a dead issue.
“The military already said they lost the certificates. But does it mean that it did not exist that the President went to school, sat for examinations and passed; attended military courses and War College. It does not change the fact that the President rose through the ranks to become a Major-General in the Nigerian Army and a Military Head of State.
Didn’t those opposed to President Buhari go to court over his certificate and lost before? They will still lose this time around. It is a dead issue.”
Nigerian singer, Dammy Krane who engaged in a brawl with Nigerian top singer, Wizkid at Quilox in 2016, has disclosed that he has forgiven the FEVER crooner.
In the year, it was alleged that the fight ensued after Dammy Krane claimed that Wizkid stole the song, Baba Nla, from him after paying him a visit at home.
Speaking on reconciling with Wizkid after they were pictured together this year, Dammy Krane said;
“Wizkid and I went to an event and from there we went out together. It was from there that we became friends again. I have forgiven him because it is just one song and we would still do songs together. We would still do one or two things together but you need to understand that we are all getting to different stages of our lives.”
“I believe that my songs would last for a long time; they are all evergreen songs and ten years from now, I know that you would always hear Dammy Krane’s songs like Amin and Amen.”
Also speaking on his ‘beef’ with Orezi over a copied hairstyle, Dammy Krane disclosed that Orezi had apologised to him.
“If you know Dammy Krane very well, you would know that I joke with a lot of things but people tend to take them seriously. I do not think we had any problems; only miscommunication. Orezi has already apologised to me because he understood that it was miscommunication. Everything that happened during that period was miscommunication,” he said.

Home Affairs minister of South Africa, Malusi Gigaba has taken to his social media page to give a plea to the general public after a sex tape of him was released online.
According to the minister, he was legally intercepted on a particular day and that was when his device which contained an explicit video of himself and his wife, was stolen from him.
He took to his page to write,
My wife and I have learned, with regret and sadness, that a video containing material of a sexual nature, meant for our eyes only, which was stolen when my communication got illegally intercepted/my phone got hacked, in 2016/17, is circulating among certain political figures… This video has been at the centre of a number of blackmail and extortion attempts, dating back to the period immediately following my appointment as Minister of Finance, on 21 March 2017, all of which I have steadfastly refused to entertain… These blackmail/extortion attempmts as well as teh illegal interception of my communication/hacking of my phone have all been reported to the relevant law enforcement/intelligence agencies and I am advised that the resultant investigations are still continuing…
I take this opportunity to publicly apologise, in advance, to the rest of my family – especially my kids, my mom and my in-laws – and the south African public for the pain and embarrassment the likely wider distribution of this privae material will cause… I hope our nation will, someday, constructively engage with the question of whether it is correcnt to condone and promote the gross invasion of the privacy of others by distributing such material, more especially in the clear absence of a public interest justification…

As expected, she would be expecting gifts from friends and well wishers but, according to her, there’s a gift that would be priceless to her.
“Absolutely there’s no lady without someone special in their life and that leads me to say I truly have a boyfriend.
He is such a cool dude, very articulate and strict, handsome, benevolent with a God-fearing heart.
Sincerely, I would expect him to give me a reliable assurance on my birthday as a gift. Simply because I need a brand new exclusive car. Just for the nature of my job, mind you, it doesn’t mean I am a materialistic woman, it’s good you speak your mind always. And it would be the greatest gift I would have on my birthday.”
Olive Utalor has featured in films like Wasted Authority, Ulaku, Battle of True Love and many others.
A Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt on Friday ordered the Nigerian Army to pay the sum of N1,250,000 and publish a written apology in at least two national dailies to a Nollywood actress, Ebere Ohakwe, as compensation after she was beaten up by men of the Nigerian Army in February 2017.
Ohakwe, popularly known as Jewel Infinity, was travelling in a public bus from Port Harcourt, Rivers State to Onitsha, Anambra State when operatives of the Nigerian Army stationed at Omagwa axis of the Port Harcourt Airport Road stopped the vehicle for a routine stop-and-search and, in the process, physically assaulted her.
The Federal High Court presided over by Justice Adamu Mohammed had earlier ruled on the matter in March 2018.
Mohammed had ordered the defendants (Nigerian Army) to pay the sum of N1m to the plaintiff as compensation for infringing on her fundamental human rights.
According to PUNCH, but the Nigerian Army through its counsel filed an application to the court to set aside the judgment and resume fresh hearing.
Counsel for the plaintiff, Chime Chime, in a counter-application, urged the court to dismiss the defendant’s submission.
Mohammed, however, struck out the application of the Nigerian Army, stating that it lacked merit.
The judge awarded N250,000 against the defendants in addition to N1m the security outfit was expected to pay to the victim, as well as a written apology to her to be published in at least two national dailies.
Controversial On-Air-Personality and leader of Free the Sheeple Movement, Daddy Freeze has described the decision by Pastor Enoch Adeboye of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) to anoint combs while praying for his congregation, as “sorcery”
In a video of a 2015 RCCG programme Daddy Freeze shared, the revered man of God could be seen lifting up a comb as he led the congregation in prayers.
Pastor Adeboye had told his congregation to come to the program with their combs, which he later prayed on them. He then instructed the congregants not to loose the comb. He said they should make sure if they’re going for any interview or visa application, the comb he prayed on is what they should use.
Commenting on the practice, the controversial Daddy Freeze said,
“First he asked his congregation to pray to a rod he lifted up, now this comb? Isn’t this sorcery? Or how do you explain this? Using a comb when you need a visa??
“Singapore is 5 years younger than Nigeria, yet they don’t need combs for visas because their passport is the strongest in the world. When are we even going to get sense in this country?

Members of the factional Boko Haram sect, who kidnapped school student, Leah Sharibu alongside 109 students in Dapchi, Yobe State, early this year, have demanded N100bn ransom before the girl could be released.
According to a diplomatic source who spoke with Punchng, the source, which claimed to be involved in the negotiation for the release of the schoolgirl, said there were fears that if given the money, the terrorists could use the cash to acquire weapons with which they would unleash terror on innocent Nigerians in the future.
The diplomatic sources argue that giving such huge sum of money to the terrorist organisation could also negatively affect national security ahead of the 2019 general elections.
“It is not that the government of Nigeria is not making efforts at getting Leah Sharibu out of the grips of the Boko Haram. But we are aware that the terrorist organisation holding her is demanding N100bn.
Though no amount is too much to get the soul of one innocent person out of danger, I think the government of Nigeria is considering many things. We all know that elections are ahead and that the terrorist organisation may also be planning to embark on inflicting damage on the people; government has to be careful and also be diplomatic about it.
We are pleading that members of the Boko Haram sect be considerate in their demands as well. They should please release the girl to her parents.”, the source said
Sharibu was one of the 110 pupils of the Government Technical and Science College, Dapchi, Yobe State, abducted by Boko Haram insurgents on February 19, 2018.
84-year-old Pastor and founder of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Odi-Ajaye Zone, John Olusola Ojo, recently went to pay the dowry of his wife, Olabisi, 70, after 46 years of marriage.
In an interview with Tribune, Pastor Ojo said he decided to honor his wife by going to pay her dowry in September, years after her family initially disagreed on their union.
Going down memory lane, Pastor Ojo said when he met Olabisi during his youth, he was very poor and also had come from a poor family background. Olabisi on the other hand, was from a priviledged home. At the time they met, she was living with her Uncle who was grooming her for one of his colleagues who worked as a driver at the Nigeria Railway Corporation.
Bisi however, refused to give in to her uncle’s demands as her heart was already with Olusola Ojo and she was ready to stay with him, despite his poor background.
For refusing to do as he requested, Olabisi was often victimised by her uncle but that did not dissuade her as she stood her grounds that she would marry no other person but Pa Ojo.
On many occasions, her uncle will beat her into coma so that she could denounce me. Because of Bisi’s determination to marry me, she would not change her mind even when her uncle took her to Kafanchan in the northern part of Nigeria, with the belief that distance will remove my love from her heart. One day, after serial persecutions, Bisi returned to me and assured me that even if I had married five wives, she is ready to become the sixth.
“When all persuasions to make my in-laws accept their daughter’s bride price from me failed, the General Superintendent of the Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria, advised us to go by statutory marriage through which we were certified as husband and wife in 1972. Few years into our marriage, my in-laws had a change of heart; since then we have maintained a good rapport,” he said.
Pa Ojo says they lived so happily that his in-laws forgot to ask him for the dowry of their daughter.
“In fact, the relationship with all my in-laws had been so cordial such that nobody was asking for bride price anymore but because of my belief as a Christian, bride price is a must in God’s view; so I must pay it, at least if it is just to show how much I value my dear wife – Olabisi”.
On her part, Mrs Ojo said she agreed to stick with her husband at the time when he as poor because she knew she could afford to take care of him.
“I knew I could take care of him, I concluded so because my parents were financially buoyant – my mother was a produce buyer while my father was a commercial farmer. But to my people, he was poor beyond redemption, they called him ‘one-man-one-jacket.’ It took much pacification before I was allowed to marry him. I thank God for his mercy on both of us, our children inclusive for whom we have become today. I have to thank Him especially for His special kindness to me. Up till this moment, I have never had any cause to regret that I married my husband. Most especially, I am grateful to God that I am also among those women who were married traditionally; appreciating me before my people by paying my dowry. I am indeed happy that it happened to me,” she enthused.
16-year-old African-American girl, Treasure, shocked the world recently after she appeared on Dr. Phil’s show to say very racist things about black people while stating that she identifies as a white person and “white is right“.
Treasure, who apparently, is a black teen, has claimed she’s white, and she is “completely and utterly better than” African-Americans.
According to her, she knows she’s white because she can feel it in her veins.
She said,
“I have naturally straight hair. My nose is not giant like African-Americans. My lips are perfect, they’re not too big and they’re not too small.”
“My ears, I don’t have black people’s ears because they’re really giant.”
In new videos which have gone viral, Treasure is seen attacking Beyonce, saying she is a ‘talentless Bi*ch’.
Nigerian entertainment consultant, Ayo Shonaiya has waded in on the rumoured troubles in the marriage of Nollywood actors, Gbenro Ajibade and Osas Ighodaro.(ICYMI)
According to Shonaiya, ‘normally I wouldn’t do this, because I hate commenting on people I don’t know personally, but this Osas and Gbenro rumoured separation is another example of the curse of celebrity weddings. People should understand that marriage is not a spectator sport‘.
The rest of his tweets below,
Normally I wouldn’t do this, because I hate commenting on people I don’t know personally, but this Osas and Gbenro rumoured separation is another example of the curse of celebrity weddings. People should understand that marriage is not a spectator sport…
Like I said, I don’t know Osas and Gbenro personally. In fact I first heard about them because of their wedding. I also shared an elevator ride with them in New York at the NEAs. They seemed quite cool. Beautiful people. Almost picture perfect sef…
Funny enough, years later, at the premiere of Wedding Party in Toronto, I shared another elevator ride with Osas at the car park, but this time I didn’t recognise her! She had shorter hair, but I guess it’s because their wedding wasn’t trending anymore…
My point is, these celebrity weddings, it’s always loud on the day and some days after. When it’s not trending anymore, there’s a pressure to retain that public buzz, so much so it’s subconsciously embedded in the marriage itself. It’s a mind thing…
And for the public, they have moved on to the next celebrity wedding. The next thing you can give them to give you that buzz back is have a baby, then yayyyy. Then what next? It’s like an ongoing TV series. Your lives now become “content”…
Celebrity couples should understand that when you start these “series”, the public are subconsciously waiting for a plot twist, and the most common plot twist for a celebrity wedding is a celebrity divorce!!! It’s a mind thing…
Lastly, from someone who’s been happily married for what seems like an eternity, and as odd as this sounds, the best way to keep a marriage strong, is NOT to treat the marriage like it’s the most important thing in your lives. Trust me. It works ?

However, Femi Kuti his elder brother has bagged about four Grammy nominations in the past, without winning any of the nominations.
A delighted Seun Kuti shared yhe news via his IG page, with the post below;
According to him, it doesn’t matter if it’s real or not as they duo are adults and are responsible for whatever happens to them.
In a recent chat with a radio station, the ‘Godwin’ singer said both Tiwa Savage and Wizkid were two consenting adults and there was no need for anyone to get emotional about the video.
He stated:
“I don’t mind the free publicity I get from the video based on association (the same record company) with Tiwa Savage. To be honest with you, they are two consenting adults and they are entertainers. They are in the show business and it doesn’t matter if it (their romance) is real or not.
They are getting the numbers; the video had over one million views within 24 hours. I feel sometimes Nigerians get too emotional about certain things.”
Members of the factional Boko Haram sect, who kidnapped Leah Sharibu alongside no fewer than 109 students in Dapchi, Yobe State, early this year, have demanded N100bn ransom before the girl could be released, a diplomatic source told SUNDAY PUNCH on Saturday.
The source, which claimed to be involved in the negotiation for the release of the schoolgirl, said there were fears that if given the money, the terrorists could use the cash to acquire weapons with which they would unleash terror on innocent Nigerians in the future.

The diplomatic sources argue that giving such huge sum of money to the terrorist organisation could also negatively affect national security ahead of the 2019 general elections.
The source said, “It is not that the government of Nigeria is not making efforts at getting Leah Sharibu out of the grips of the Boko Haram.

Empress Njamah may have reacted to a viral interview made by her ex-boyfriend, Timaya, where he revealed he collected his car gift from her, after they broke up.
Timaya earlier revealed why he collected his car gift from an ex-girlfriend, Empress Njamah.
The Bayelsa State-born musician and the actress had dated during the early stage of Timaya’s career. They, however, parted ways over undisclosed reasons.
However, the ‘’Sanko’’ crooner, for the first time, came out to speak on why he broke up with the actress and how he collected his car gift. He said;
“We woke up one day, and she said I was cheating on her with different girls, and I asked her with who, she called quite a number of names, popular people that I didn’t think of and I didn’t do shit with.
‘’There was one other popular actress that comes to my house regularly, at some point, we had a misunderstanding and we broke up and I even heard about the part where they said I went to the church to beg her.
“At that point, she wanted me to get her a Murano, and at that point, a friend of mine came home for Christmas and brought a Murano, and he was going back and wanted me to buy the car, so I was like ”you like this one” she was like she doesn’t like this one that she wanted a particular one from the United States. So I gave my friend the money to buy the car. Then a girl got me a Honda Pilot for my birthday, just a fan.
‘’The lady who gave the car gift wanted it back because I had given it to Empress. I reached out to Empress to get the car back so as to return it back to the lady.
‘’Empress told me she has used the car to settle herself. I was looking for her, that’s why I went to the church.
‘’I’m saying this now because of the comments people made when they say “you buy gift, you go collect am like Timaya,” am sorry that was my car.
“I went to the church because it is my car. I had the spare key, I wanted to drive the car, so the security guys come dey look me, and I tell them say, but that’s my car, na my girl, Empress na him carry this car come this church, so they said I should go inside the church and call her and I said I can’t go inside when there is a service going on, so na from there the chaos happen,”

Mr. Andrew Ogbuja’s arraignment followed his alleged complicity in the serial rape of a minor, Ochanya Ogbaje, who died earlier this month from medical complications arising from the said act.

The Lagos State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has issued a warning to commuters to desist from throwing wastes out of moving vehicles, saying defaulters may be sanctioned with N5,000 fine.

People need to stop throwing things off moving vehicles, drivers should encourage their passengers to use the dustbin in the vehicle instead of throwing them out,’’ he said.
Abayomi stated that the Command has received lots of complaints from the street sweepers in the state expressing their dissatisfaction on account of such act which according to them could lead to fatalities.

Well, not everything, he was allowed to play Play station, computer games, cartoon network, Ben 10, and all cartoon movies were his daily. He doesn’t respect elders, gets anything he wants any time he does. To crown that, at 12 years, he weighed nearly 60kg. Rude to teachers, drivers, househelps, uncles, aunties and older siblings. He was sent to a boarding school. They threw him out and he became a day student.
One day, at age 13, he was caught smoking, in a school bathroom. The Vice Principal, called him to his office, he told the Asst Senior Prefect, that he will see him later. And gradually his character was cast in iron. Rude. Poor hygiene. Disrespectful. Careless. Stubborn. No morals. No regards for constituted authority. Doesn’t take no for an answer. Believes every woman was Beneath him. He wanted to be treated like a king… I know what you are thinking. “This is an extreme case”. Trust me, even 1% of the characteristics I just listed, is extreme.
Let me even tell you why I am worried, during holidays, the boy does nothing. Lounges. All his laundry, at age 17 going on 18, are done for him. His room is like an abandoned LAWMA project. And with his approach to life lacks Vision too. Tell me, how will this man grow up to know that a woman’s NO is NO? Remember, the man you raise today is the husband of a woman, or another man’s husband… ad long as they don’t caught him, no problem
