“Don’t play with God!” – Davido celebrates smashing goals some thought were impossible for him
Popular Nigerian singer David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has taken to social media to celebrate his latest achievements.
The music superstar, who recently held a sold-out show at the O2 Arena, shared a post highlighting some of the goals people thought he would never achieve but he has.
According to the post, some thought he would never be nominated for a Grammy, but he proved them wrong by bagging three Grammy nominations for the 2024 Grammy Awards.
The nominations include Best Global Album for his latest album, “Timeless.” The other two nominations are for Best African Performance for his song “Unavailable” and Best Global Music Performance for his song “Feel.”
The post also pointed out some of his milestones on music streaming platform Spotify, Billboard, and other notable achievements that some people thought were impossible.
Commenting on the achievements, Davido told his haters, critics and naysayers not to joke with God.
The post reads,
“He’d never be Grammy-nominated.” He proved them wrong.
“No Billboard Hot 100 entry.” He achieved it.
“No UK certification.” He secured it.
“100 million on Spotify.” He exceeded it.
They never learn. Davido isn’t one to be dared.
He’ll relegate your fave and lock up the city.
