“If this was a South African or American show, I don’t think the people who won will win.”” – Pere Egbi speaks on BBNaija
Reality TV star, Pere Egbi, has stated that the previous Big Brother Naija winners weren’t deserving of their big wins.
The two-time show participant implied that Nigerians voted emotionally instead of rationally, which is why the winners emerged as champions.

From the show’s start, the following people have won: Katung (2006), Efe (2017), Miracle (2018), Laycon (2020), Phyna (2022), White Money (2021), and Ilebaye (2023) – All Stars.
Speaking on the most recent edition of Celebrity Quickies, Pere stated that the winners of the reality show thus far would not have received the title if it were an American or South African show.
Pere stated that although he was on the just-finished All Stars edition in 2023, he won’t consent to go on the show once more if the chance arises.
He said:
“My experience in the Big Brother Naija house was a rollercoaster. I had different encounters with different people, experiences that gave me something. Overall, it was good.
But if I was asked to go back in the [BBNaija] House again, I would not. Simply because I feel Nigerians are not ready for reality TV.
A bunch of Nigerians who actually vote for these guys in these shows in Nigeria, especially, Big Brother, are just one-track minded. I’m being honest, if this was a South African or American show, I don’t think the people who won will win.”
“Why I confessed to cheating on my ex-husband” – Korra Obidi
US-based Nigerian singer and dancer, Korra Obidi, has outlined the reasons behind her public admission that she had cheated on her American spouse, Justin Dean.
Recall that in 2022, Korra came to the United States of America to live with her now ex-husband, but not before she admitted to cheating on him while she was still in Nigeria.

After their divorce was finalized, the mother of two opened up, claiming that she confessed because she didn’t want to live with the secret.
In a recent interview with News Central, Korra made it clear that she kept it a secret from the public.
The US-based singer who traveled to Nigeria last year in search of a spouse, continued, saying that although her confession was difficult to make, it also revealed a lot.
Korra said;
“If I had not said what I said, if I had not come through with my truth, it wouldn’t have brought out all the truths that came to light.
As you saw on the blogs, I admitted to that [cheating]; he [my ex-husband] admitted to a lot of things. So it was like we were both doing these things.
And we would have been living in a lie to please the public. And how long can you do that? So I would never regret saying I was having commitment issues before I came to America. I never said this [my ex-husband] is the only man I’m going to be sleeping with for the rest of my life.
So I dabbled. I admitted to it openly. And a lot of people insulted me for it but at the end of the day, I would never live with a secret to death.”

“Yul Edochie’s ministry is embarrassing to the Christian faith” – Solomon Buchi
Media personality, Solomon Buchi has slammed popular actor turned pastor, Yul Edochie, as he launches his ministry.
Recall that Yul had his first sermon on Sunday, January 28, on YouTube, following the unveiling of his virtual church, The Salvation Ministry, or TSM, last week.

Solomon reacted by saying that the actor is parodying Christianity, particularly with his acts that go against his teachings.
He mentioned that Edochie had an affair with Judy Austin, his colleague, and that, as a consequence, the two of them had a child together.
The influencer added in a long Twitter (X) post that it’s hard to know if Yul is serious about his ministry or if he’s simply being sarcastic. He also voiced worries about the movie star’s mental state and recommended that the actor be admitted for treatment.
He wrote;
“Yul Edochie is making a caricature of the Christian faith. From cheating on his wife, getting another woman pregnant and being caught, to claiming polygamy is normal and okay, and now to open a ‘ministry’ claiming God called him. No doubt, God can call anyone, but there’s a whole structure to the logistics of starting a ministry.
Who is Yul Edochie’s spiritual father? What church does he even currently attend? Who discipled him? In the past months, he’s been involved in adultery and polygamy, which the Lord can forgive, but why is his ministry launch so close to a vulnerable season, for which he needs repentance and healing?
Yul has been through quite a lot in the past months, and he might need intensive mental care. This charade isn’t helping and all he needs is Jesus and reflective time to morph into a better man. It’s hard to tell if his ‘ministry’ is sarcastic or real, but whatever it is, it is still embarrassing to the Christian faith. Get your life and family together first, Yul.”
