Two prophets, Olusola Akindele, 42, and Ayodele Bamiduro, 42, of the Lion of Judah Church of Christ located at 13, Robiyan Avenue, Robiyan near Ijoko, were arrested by men of the Ogun state command following an investigation after the woman’s remains were found.

According to Crimepuzzle, the victim a 40-year-old woman identified as Iya Aanu, had on July 30, 2018, visited Olusola, who she had been dating for two years, in his Assess Road residence at Mosefejo. They had sex and as the woman was relaxing afterwards, her lover smashed her head with a heavy piece of wood and dragged her to a room within the apartment. She struggled but eventually lost the battle.

After she gave up the struggle, Olusola dragged her lifeless body to the bathroom and severed her head and hands, and later dumped her remains in an uncompleted building behind his residence. He then took the severed head and hands to his accomplice’s church, the Lion of Judah Church of Christ on 13, Robiyan Avenue, where he buried the body parts.

Disclosing how the suspects were arrested, CP Iliyasu said at a press conference held today at the scene of the crime at Mosefejo that on August 10, 2018, a complaint was lodged at the Agbado Police Divisional Headquarters by the Baale of Igbore Robiyan. The Baale informed the police that a headless, decomposing body of a woman was found in an uncompleted building within the community.

Upon receiving the report, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Agbado, CSP Olatunji Omonijo, was asked to investigate and unravel the mystery behind the killing. Investigation led them to the suspects who have reportedly confessed to the crime.

The CP narrated:

On interrogation, Olusola Akindele, who claimed to be a prophet in a church, confessed that the victim was his woman friend, who he simply identified as Iya Aanu. He stated further that they had been dating and hibernating for two years. On the fateful day, the deceased came to visit him, as usual, and after they made love, and the woman was relaxing, the so-called prophet surreptitiously brought out a very big clog that looked like a pestle with which he smashed the woman’s head.

He added:

The severed head and hands of the victim were buried at the back of Lion of Judah Church of Christ, situated in another area within this vicinity at 13, Robiyan Avenue, belonging to Ayodele Bamiduro

The CP advised the public to be careful whom they associate with and always notify at least one person about their whereabouts when leaving the house to ensure their security and safety.

A Nigerian woman has found herself in a hospital with a broken jaw after she was allegedly assaulted by her husband.

According to popular Facebook group, DPA, the woman who didn’t give the reason for the alleged maltreatment by her husband, she was beaten mercilessly and left injured in the process.

The woman also accused her husband of tearing up her certificates and credentials in a bid to spite and punish her.

The woman who was rushed to the hospital after the alleged brutalization is now seeking for justice after contacting her legal team.

The police in Lagos police said they arrested 57 men for alleged homosexual activity at Kelly Ann Hotel/ Event Centre in Egbeda, Lagos, on Sunday morning.

The police said on arrival, young men numbering about 80 were met in a hall taking different types of drinks including banned substance like Tramadol, Shisha laced with substances suspected to be Marijuana. When the men sighted the police, they took to their heels but the police arrested 57 of them.

One of the arrested suspects, a 20-year-old man identified as James Brown told journalists they were attending a birthday party and that he is not a homosexual.

The young man who said he is a dancer – told journalists during the parade in Lagos, that he disclosed to the police that he is HIV positive and yet they arrested him and labelled him gay even though he was at the night club to perform.

When asked how he contacted HIV, he said that he got from birth (through his mother).

The young man said; “I went there to work and get paid. The party was on Saturday and it is (was) meant to be overnight. I was arrested and have been denied to even take my drugs which is for medical reasons.”

James Brown also said that they were about 25 girls at the birthday venue but the police left them to arrest the guys and labelled them gays. He said he regrets the day he was born in this country.

Some irate youths in Ede, Osun State, have beaten to death an HND 2 student at the Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Fisayo Olorunfemi, aka Fish, after the student allegedly crushed an 18-year-old admission seeker, Islamat Bello, to death with his vehicle.

There were various accounts of the number of lives lost in the accident, which occurred in Ita Oloki in Ede.

While residents claimed that four persons were crushed to death and the driver lynched, the police said the undergraduate killed one person and he was murdered by the angry mob.

Apart from the admission seeker, residents said Olorunfemi, who drove a Toyota Camry, with number plate, AAA 463 DV, also killed a telephone repairer, identified as Waliu, and one unidentified person.

Olorunfemi, who was reportedly lynched by the youths of the town, was said to be speeding to avoid being arrested by some security operatives after he had allegedly killed a woman in purdah with the car in the Olowo-Bida area.

The driver, who was said to be a student of Building Technology, was reportedly beaten to death at the scene by the youth, who saw the mangled bodies of those he allegedly hit.

A resident, who identified himself as Sule, told PUNCH Metro that Fish rammed into the admission seeker who was trekking by the roadside after she had sat for the post-UTME exams at the polytechnic.

Waliu and one other person were said to be on a motorcycle when the speeding car also rammed into them and flung them into a ditch.

Although the accident happened around 6pm on Monday, our correspondent who visited the scene on Tuesday saw bloodstains on the wall of a building near the scene.
An electric pole, which the car rammed into after crushing the admission seeker, had broken into two but the iron rods inside the concrete pole were seen still holding it from falling completely.

Some personal belongings of the deceased, such as slippers, handkerchiefs, as well as broken windscreen, number plate of the motorcycle, and others were still at the scene although the remains of the victims had been removed, while the vehicle had been towed away.

The Assistant Commander, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in charge of Osun West, Mr Hussein Sanusi, told our correspondent that he was informed that three persons died in the incident.

The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Osun State, Mr Peter Oke, who also confirmed the incident, said the driver crushed to death a motorcycle rider and a female passenger.

He said, “The accident involved a Totota Camry, whose driver was said to have hit a motorcyclist and a girl. The two of them died. The driver was also said to have been killed by people.”

But the Commissioner of Police in Osun State, Mr Fimihan Adeoye, said that the accident claimed one life and the angry mob lynched the driver of the vehicle.

He said, “One person died in the accident. The accident involved a car and a motorcycle and people took the law into their own hands and killed the poor boy.

“Efforts are being intensified to arrest those that killed the boy. It was an accident; it was not intentional, except they can establish that the boy drove intentionally to kill.”

A nine-year-old boy in Denver, Colorado, has committed suicide on the first week of school after being bullied by classmates for coming out as gay, his mother says.

Leia Pierce told local media that her son, Jamel Myles, killed himself at their home last Thursday after enduring several days of
homophobic bullying. “Four days is all it took at school.

I could just imagine what they said to him,” Pierce told KDVR. “My son told my oldest daughter the kids at school told him to kill himself. I’m just sad he didn’t come to me.” Pierce said her son, who was enrolled at Joe Shoemaker Elementary School, told her he was gay over the summer and that he wanted to come out as such to his classmates when he started school. “He went to school and said he was gonna tell people he’s gay because he’s proud of himself,” she said.

The school said grief counselors had been made available to students and staff and a letter was sent to families about the tragedy
and help available.

Pierce said she hopes her son’s death will raise awareness about the devastating effects of bullying “We should have accountability for bullying,” she said. “I think the child should, because the child knows it’s wrong.

The child wouldn’t want someone to do it to them. I think the parent should be held (accountable) because obviously the parents are either teaching them to be like that, or they’re treating them like that.”

The police in Edo state have arrested the Proprietress of God’s Orphanage Home, in Benin, Edo State, Kehinde Blessing Imarhiagbe, for complicity in the alleged theft of four-year-old-Elo Ogidi.

Elo was abducted from church in Lagos state on July 8th and was found in the orphanage run by Imarhiagbe last Friday,

Speaking to journalisits while parading Mrs. Imarhiagbe, the State Police Commissioner, Babatunde Kokumo, described the activity of the suspect as unwholesome, adding that the stolen girl was “found at the orphanage under questionable circumstances.”

Speaking in her defense, Imarhiagbe, said Elo was brought to her Orphanage home by a man who gave his name as Emeka, who allegedly claimed to be the father of the child, adding that he had lost the mother. Imarhiagbe said since she did not suspect any foul play, she did not bother to probe the true identity of the baby, especially when Emeka was visiting her orphanage home every week.

She, however, said she was surprised to have received a phone call while she was attending a church programme in Sapele, Delta State, that the police were looking for her in connection with a child allegedly stolen in Lagos.

She said on arriving Benin, she surrendered herself to the police and that since her arrest all efforts to reach Emeka had not been unsuccessful as Emeka has since switched off his phone.
