Nigerian singing sensation, Tiwa Savage is reportedly enraged after Tekno and Ciara allegedly ripped off a song on her 2015 album RED titled, ‘Before Nko.’
American R&B diva, Ciara recently released a collaboration with the MMMG signed Tekno titled ‘Freak Me’ – upon the release of the song, a large number of fans were quick to point out the striking similarities between the new song and Tiwa Savage’s track.
Tiwa Savage who apparently got wind of the reports is vehemently angry about the situation.
Thenet.ng reports that they can exclusively confirm that neither Tekno nor Ciara obtained clearance or permission from Tiwa Savage before infringing on her copyright.
Meanwhile, Ciara had excitedly shared the artwork for the single, while Tekno refrained from doing so.
The reason behind his silence is said to be not be far fetched as an unnamed member of Tiwa Savage’s camp revealed that Tekno is someone Tiwa Savage considered a friendly colleague; not in the least because they both are Pepsi ambassadors and know each other well.
The source said;
“We were surprised that they went that route. They didn’t even just sample some strings, the beat and lyrics of the hook are basically the same. Tiwa is extremely upset because it seems like a rip off of her sweat.”
“They didn’t ask or inform us before the song was made. As a matter of fact, we reached out to them when we heard the song but they didn’t do us the courtesy of even responding.
This is not how to do things. Tekno himself is not sharing links to the song as much as his boss Ubi is. This is wrong.”
“It may not have been in Ciara’s place to know that the song belonged to someone else but the onus was on Tekno as the featured act and producer (who we believe gave the song to her anyway) to inform her.”
Although Tiwa Savage (along with Don Jazzy, his brother DPrince) was listed as one of the composers on streaming sites such as TIDAL, she believes that does not suffice as ‘permission’.
Nollywood actress and model, Damilola Aina, has said she wants a rich and handsome man for marriage.
The lovely entertainer hinted that she is single and is okay with it at the moment – however, when it comes to marriage, she says she would always go for a handsome and financially capable man to compliment her.
According to Damilo Aina, when it comes to marriage she would always go for a handsome man to compliment her. The man also has to be financially well balanced.
She said;
“I want a man who understands who I’m. He must be physically very ok. In fact, he has to be handsome, good looking, fine, sweet guy. He must be intellectually sound. He must have something up there.
He has to be financially capable too. He can’t be poor oh, so even if I have my own money, when the children start coming, he must spend money.”
Damilola also beckoned on her colleagues to be careful of the kind of private information they put out on social media. She added;
“Honestly, some things are meant to be known to you and family alone and not for the world via social media. In a way, it is drastically contributing to the crash of marriages and relationships.
Let private things remain private. You can post fashion, style, and the likes, but relationship matters should be off the public eyes.”

Nigerian music artiste, Falz who’d earlier reacted to the NBC ban on his song ‘This is Nigeria’ which they say contains vulgar words, has threatened to sue the agency a day after he shared a letter which revealed that a Radio Station in Jos was fined for playing the song.
The call for the song’s ban had first been made by MURIC, who claimed that some ladies in hijab were dancing Shaku Shaku and they believed it was against the Islamic religion, but their pleas fell on deaf ears. However announcing the song’s ban this week, the NBC said,
This is Nigeria, look how we living now. Everybody be criminal,” stating that it made the song vulgar and it was in contravention of Section 3.6.1 and 3.13.2.2 of its constitution.
Falz who disclosed that he felt it was ridiculous for the commission to ban the song, argued that it was not a vulgar song but a socially conscious piece of art which addresses the current issues in the country.
In his Interview with Saturday Beats, Falz said;
“There is absolutely nothing vulgar about the song and I think it is ridiculous that the Nigerian Broadcast Commission singled out the least vulgar line in the song and ascribed it to be the reason they banned the song. It is a very simple and clean song.
The only thing is that I was very blunt about the way I talk about things. I do not know maybe some messages in the song hit them and that is the real reason they banned the song.
The line was, ‘This is Nigeria, look how we living now. Everybody be criminal.’ If they ban this song, then I do not understand them because that song is definitely not a vulgar song.”
He also stated that he he does not know if there was any conspiracy to ensure that the song never enjoyed airwaves, but he was aware that the song could have hit some nerves of certain people. Falz added that his lawyers will be investigating why his song was banned.
“I do not know if the fact that some group wanted me to retract the song is linked with this new development but I know that there were a lot of messages in the song and it is hitting a lot of people in the wrong places and that is what is making them react in that manner. However, there was absolutely no basis for the NBC to ban that song. I am going to have to write to them through my lawyers to find out what is really going on. When I find out the reason behind the ban, I could ask them to lift it if need be and if they do not adhere to my request, I might have to seek legal redress,” he said.

Spanish authorities have reduced by two million euros the tax liabilities of football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, the El Mundo daily has reported.
According to El Mundo, which had access to documents of the settlement, tax authorities realised he paid two million euros too much last year for image rights he sold in 2014. That means he only has to pay 16.7 million euros, as against the 18.8 million euros ordered by the court, to settle a tax fraud claim.
Spain’s taxman and Ronaldo’s advisors made the deal to settle claims the 33-year-old, who has since moved to Italy’s Juventus, hid income generated from image rights while he was playing for Real Madrid.
The agreement also includes a two-year jail sentence which he won’t serve. Sentences of up to two years are generally not enforced in Spain for first-time offenders in non-violent crimes. El Mundo said Ronaldo has already paid 13.4 million euros of the 16.7 million euro he is expected to pay. Spain’s finance ministry would not comment on the report. The newspaper said the tax agreement also means that the court near Madrid investigating the case had dropped charges against Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes.
The court was not immediately available for comment. Had the case gone further, without the player offering a settlement, Ronaldo could have faced a reported fine of 28 millions euros and a three-and-a-half-year jail term, according to the Spanish tax office union Gestha. Ronaldo’s big rival, Barcelona’s Argentinian star Lionel Messi, paid a two-million-euro fine in 2016 in his own tax wrangle and received a 21-month jail term. The prison sentence was later reduced to a further fine of 252,000 euros equivalent to 400 euros a day of the original term.
A woman reportedly slept with her son from her first marriage in order to raise children for her husband from her second marriage. The 47-year-old woman identified as Mrs. Veronica Iorshe, from Howe, Ugee Council Ward slept with her son from her first marriage in order to have children for her second husband, Sebastian Iorshe, 44, from Aliade, all in the same Gwer East Local Government Area of Benue State.
Read the full story reported by Daily Sun:
The tragic story started much earlier when Veronica got married, at 19, to Mr. James Hon (now late) from Gwer West Local Government Area of Benue state. The marriage was blessed with one child, a son. But eight months after, Hon died in an auto accident on the Makurdi-Enugu road while returning from a business trip. He used to trade in palm oil. After his death, Veronica summoned up the courage and continued with the business while staying in her husband’s house. But owing to some irreconcilable differences between her and her husband’s people, she returned to her maternal place but still continued with the oil-trading business, with her only son, Simon Hon.
But somewhere along the line Veronica switched to bushmeat marketing business. In her itinerary, she would travel to Awe Local Government Area of Nasarawa state to buy the meat and thereafter sell it to the people of Aliade in Gwer East Local Government Area of Benue State. It was in the course of doing this that she met Sebastian Iorshe, a Tiv man from the area and a love relationship developed between the two. As it were, Sebastian had also lost his spouse two months after marriage in 1998.
So, given the mutual fate and feelings shared by the widow and widower, they did not see any reason not to marry and settle down as husband and wife. They did so about eight years ago. But the marriage ran into a big storm when it repeatedly failed to produce a child or children to cement the relationship. Matters were not helped much with Veronica’s movement into the second marriage with her only son, Simon, now 26-years-old. Sebastian’s mother who is not happy over the couple’s inability to produce children was said to regularly accuse Veronica of using her son’s wealth to train up her own son.
But amid the frosty relationship, suspicion, accusations and counter-accusations created by this development, the couple neglected to go for a medical check up to ascertain the source of the problem. Veronica put the blame on her husband. She claims that while she was willing, her husband was not. She said she suspects that her husband, said to be suffering from low sperm count, had, all along, known that he is unable to father a child.
But not too sure of where the problem lay, Veronica decided to test her own virility or potency by luring her son into secret lovemaking (with a stem warning not to reveal the affair to anybody). Investigation by Saturday Sun reveals that the serial lovemaking session lasted throughout the month of March and April 2018. Each time Veronica came down to Lafia with her son to deliver dry meat to restaurants around the area, she would rent a hotel room where she would, time and again, lure her son into performing sexual acts with her. Her reason for doing so she said, was to ascertain whether the fault was from her or not. At the end of April the result came out when she missed her period, signaling that she was pregnant.
But when she broke to her husband, what ordinarily would have been good news, he denied being responsible for it and suspected foul play. Stating February 1, 2018 as the last time they had sex together, he wondered how that would have resulted in pregnancy two months after. He added that if she missed her period at the end of April, then he is not responsible for it. This development led to suspicion that created a big crisis in the family. On 2nd August 2018, both of them submitted themselves to a medical test in Lafia based on the advice of a close relation. The result showed that Veronica is three months pregnant and confirmed the fact her last lovemaking with her husband February 1, couldn’t have led to that.
Matters turned out worse when another test conducted on her husband showed that he has weak and low sperm count that would make it impossible to father a child. The moment these details were released by the hospital, the angry husband, accusing her of infidelity, asked his wife to pack out of his house to go and live with the man responsible for her pregnancy.
After persistent pressure from our correspondent, Veronica eventually opened up to tell her own side of the story. “I am not a loose woman,” she said. “I am just a woman who loves her husband very much and didn’t want to lose him. I did what I did to save my marriage even though I feel guilty about it. It was not easy but I slept with my first son from my first husband so that I could give my husband a child. But rather sustaining my marriage, the plan has scattered it and I have lost it.
“I got married to my husband eight years ago. We had no child. The worst was that I never got pregnant even for one day. When I discovered that I was no longer getting younger, I was worried as much as he and his parents were. His mother became so impatient that she started breathing down my neck as she gave me no breathing space at all. She said that I was cheating on her son, using his son’s money to maintain my son, that I’m older than his son.
“She moved in to live with us and practically made life in my matrimonial home unbearable for me. At a point, she stopped talking to me. The only time she would talk to me was when she wanted to insult me and remind me of how less a woman I was. I was confused, more so when my husband refused to submit himself to a medical test to ascertain the source of the problem, though we loved each other before the heavy pressure from his mum came. We used to have serious lovemaking sessions especially during my ovulation period all in the bid to get pregnant so that my mother-in-law could stop humiliating me. Yet, I couldn’t get pregnant. I started suspecting the problem could be from my husband when he refused to subject himself to medical test. But the insult from my mother-in-law was getting too much, too unbearable for me. She vowed to frustrate me out of her son’s home. To make things worse, she sent away my son saying that he has no business staying in the house. I had to look for a one-room apartment for him in Lafia.
“After he left, it was just three of us in the house in Awe, which is a distance away from Lafia. I was always terrified each time I heard her voice from a distance. She tried to frustrate my meat market in Awe. In fact, the only time that I had peace was when I went to the market. It is so agonizing to say this. Instead of testing someone else to ascertain my fertility, I seduced and slept with my son. Simon is a young man in his early 20s; he has not started sleeping with women before I lured him into making love with me.
“I started by buying good things for him, sleeping together on the same bed, playing with his manhood and gradually one thing led to another. There was a time I asked him if he had tested sex before and he said no. I compelled him to take an oath not to disclose it to anybody. I said I would teach him sex. I ensured that I did that during my ovulation period. I never disclosed the reason for this but deep in my mind, I wanted to test my fertility. I planned it during my ovulation so that I could get pregnant, although it was not easy sleeping with a son. I knew I was doing the wrong thing and betraying my husband but I saw it as a necessary action to save my marriage. I didn’t want to go out sleeping with another man outside. I knew it was wrong but I prefer it from my son than a man outside. After one month, I discovered that I was pregnant.”
Now that the deed had been done and her husband had sent her packing from matrimonial, you wanted to know what she was going to do. She responded that she would do nothing else but piece together the pieces of her broken life and move on. She would relocate to Markurdi, she said to continue the dry meat supply business with her son. But how about the pregnancy, you managed to ask. Is she going to abort or keep it? Though she regrets her action, she said, she had decided to keep it because “it is blood within my blood.” Saturday Sun understands that when the heat became unbearable, Veronica asked her son to relocate to Benue State to avoid unforeseen circumstances.
Husband’s reaction
Speaking on the issue Sebastian expressed his disappointment over his wife’s betrayal and vowed never to forgive her. “I don’t want to believe the story she is narrating to you that her son is responsible for it, though I have not suspected her or seen any sign that an outsider was dating her,” he said. “But the truth is that I’m not responsible for the pregnancy and will not allow her into my house. It is a shame for me to be associated with a mess like this. Please, I don’t want to talk about it anymore; she is no longer my wife.”
Mixed reactions continue to trail Toke Makinwa’s nude photo and someone has taken out time to cover her up with Ankara fabric and snickers.
The Lady with the username @abigailslessor, who is a sketch designer for clothing brands, wrote that people should stop judging and hating.
She wrote ;
For the culture and holiness ?
‘y’all stop hating and judging if you don’t know the story. You see any damsel in distress, drenched by the heavy down pour in Lagos a day ago. The flood dragged off all her clothing, even her shoes. Before she knew it, paparazzi everywhere and she had to fold up on the ground. That’s why the pic. Thank God I had some Ankara pieces to make this after taking her home, also gave her a pair of shoe and tfare back home’.
A Nigerian Man simply identified as, Kaycee Ichie Oguejiofor on facebook, has taken to the platform to shade his ex girlfriend, Amaka, who turned him down for being broke back in 2011.
I know you will read this, how are you enjoying your singledom, not like marriage or relationship is a big deal, but I am very happy in mine. Nothing is perfect but mines is very close to perfection.
I remember the last time I saw you, you were on way to Pastor Peter’s Church for prayers. And it’s not to tell why. If you don’t change even your attitude even the devil will not answer your prayers.
I remember when I asked you out in 2011, and your response was “Delgado I like you, but I can’t date a broke man. You said if I am lucky you will still be single when I have made money. And just then you might consider me.
Anyways I don’t wish evil or bad on people ọ, far from it… In fact I have only one prayer for you, I honestly pray and money will turn to man and ask for your hand in marriage.
Let me stop here for today happy birthday.
Model, Blac Chyna‘s butt may have collapsed under the weight of her enormous implants – after years of rumoured surgery to make her butt as big as possible.
The 30-year-old mum of two looked somewhat deflated when she stepped out in Los Angeles on Friday.
Gone was the enormous butt she was rocking last month, where her bright orange dress could barely fit over her artificially inflated buttocks, and in it’s place was a rather flatter behind.
The new photos have sparked concerns for her health, as presumably Chyna has had to remove her implants for a reason.
Chyna is known for her love of plastic surgery – it should be recalled that her ex-fiance and baby papa, Rob Kardashian, once tweeted a slew of furious messages about the amount of money he’d shelled out for Blac Chyna’s body overhaul after she gave birth to their daughter, Dream Kardashian.
Nigerian actress, Juliana Olayode a.k.a Toyo Baby, who during the week announced that her parents who had been separated for 17 years are back together, has recounted the challenges she faced during the period.
According to Juliana Olayode, the reconciliation of their separated parents started after her elder sisters called for a meeting between her dad and her mom. She added that at first, she thought it wouldn’t work.
She had written on Instagram,
“I know that my Rebirth Fam would be able to relate more with what I am about to share. Gosh, where do I start? My heart is racing. I still can’t believe it. I have prayed for it to happen for 17 years. At some point, I stopped praying about it because nothing changed, things only got worse.
“My elder sisters called for a meeting, and between us, we wanted to reconcile my mum and dad but we didn’t tell them about it. I was so afraid. I wondered if they would come or if our plans to bring them back together would work. So, three days before the meeting, I started praying about it. I started imagining them together. I was just doing everything by faith.
“On Sunday morning, I had cold feet. I was so afraid. “God, please do it this time”, was my prayer when I entered my late sister’s house for the meeting. It was a VERY long process but they made up. They hugged each other and looked into each other’s eyes and started laughing. Then my mum started crying and my siblings and I joined in the tears of joy.
“I’m still in shock.
“So fam, wedding bells are ringing;
“There is nothing God cannot do. Don’t stop praying. Don’t stop believing. He will do it in his own time…
“I join my faith with everyone whose parents are divorced or separated for whatever reason and I declare that the same God who answered my prayer after 17 years will do yours if you so desire (Amen)”
However in a new chat with Saturday Beats, Juliana Olayode disclosed how how she and her siblings have always wanted their parents to come back together.
“My parents were not aware of the whole plan; they didn’t know they were going to see each other and we are happy they eventually reconciled.
“Like I said in my book, it was very difficult not seeing my parents together. Going to school and coming back to meet only mummy or Daddy; I have always prayed about it as a child, that was always my little prayer to God. It happened when I stopped trusting God about it and I just believed that in God’s time, he would make it happen, and I am happy they reconciled” she said.

Mykehia Curry is going to be the first member of her family to go to college as the 18-year-old student from Georgia took out student loans to pay for her tuition and housing at Albany State University, but she didn’t have money for some of the things she’d need for her first time living away from home.
Curry’s mom is on disability, so money has been tight. So last week Saturday, just days before she was scheduled to leave for school, she asked God for help.
“I wrote a note that said ‘God please help me get the rest of my stuff for college. Then I said ‘Amen, I love you God’ and I wrote my name and number” Curry told CNN. She tied the note to three helium balloons leftover from her grandmother’s birthday celebration and let them go.
“When I was writing the note, I was just trying to reach out to God. I didn’t know where it would land. I thought that someone would pick it up and call me and tell me they got it or just throw it in the trash” she said.
The balloons flew about 15 miles northeast and carried the note to Gray, Georgia. That’s where Jerome Jones, a Baptist minister, found it. Jones also works for Georgia Power and spotted the balloons on Monday while he was out on a job.

A boozed-up South Carolina woman pulled over for blowing past a stop sign at 60 mph, told cops she shouldn’t be arrested because she’s a “very clean, thoroughbred, white girl”.
But Lauren Elizabeth Cutshaw’s lecture didn’t convince officers from the Bluffton Police Department — who arrested her on charges of speeding, disregarding a stop sign, simple possession of marijuana, driving under the influence and possession of drug paraphernalia.
After getting pulled over at about 1:45 a.m. Saturday near Bluffton and May River roads, where she was spotted speeding through a four-way stop sign, Cutshaw told cops she had had just two glasses of wine.
“I mean I was celebrating my birthday,” Cutshaw, who turns 33 on Thursday, told the cops when they asked her how big the glasses were for her alleged two drinks, according to the report.
But she didn’t stop there. Cutshaw gave the officers a litany of other reasons why she deserved to be let off the hook: She maintained perfect grades during all of her school years, was a cheerleader and a member of a sorority. Her partner is also a cop, Cutshaw said.
“I’m a white, clean girl,” Cutshaw said, according to the report. “I’ve never been arrested, can’t you see that in your system?” , Can’t you see, I graduated from a really good university, I was almost valedictorian.”
“I don’t wanna know what it’s like,” she says about going to jail. “I’m a pretty girl. Please don’t make me go in there.”

Fast-rising singer, Weflo has stated that no youth can make it in the Nigerian music industry with their own money. Asked why yahoo-yahoo is believed to be rampant among many upcoming artistes, the UNILAG graduate explained that if you are not getting someone to finance you but you have been able to shoot so many high quality videos, then you are either into fraud or other illicit means of raising money.
While speaking in an interview with reporters at an event in Lagos about his newly released video, “Ise” shot by top Director Paul Gambit, Weflo lamented that the Nigerian environment is not conducive for upcoming talents because the cost of establishing your musical talent is almost like the cost of going into an oil and gas business.
“The Nigerian music industry is not for a poor person, and this is not to discourage any upcoming artiste from coming into the industry, but the truth is that if you as an upcoming artiste doesn’t have anyone backing you financially, you will be depending on only fate to even get attention. Studio fees alone will not allow you to beable to express all your talent. It will restrict you from doing as many songs as you want. Your hit song is probably among the ones you haven’t yet have money to record. When time comes to promote the audio, the media will cut your neck and you may eventually not beable to promote the song.
“Don’t even let me start with video directors. Sometimes to get a standard video shoot at 1millin Naira, you have to beg directors. Don’t also talk about DJs, radio stations and Alaba mix and so on.This is why for every 20 successful artistes making waves, there are probably more than 200 thousand others looking up to God for studio fees. That is why a lot of artistes are into Yahoo and all sorts of means to raise money. It’s not in my place to judge anyone, because we are all responsible for our actions at the end of the day. So if you find an upcoming artistes who is shooting all types of internationally standard videos and spends so much promoting them, then money comes from either one of the aforementioned means; not to deny that there are occasional exceptions where the song just go viral without any major effort. In my case though, i have been lucky to have the full support of my parents financially and in all ramifications.” Weflo stated.
Explaining further, Weflo says “You might want to ask, can’t an artiste get a part time job and save up for his music career? The truth is, like i said earlier, the type of capital you need to succeed in the music business is not the type you use starting a small scale business. You need millions to run it. If you start small, fine!; but 9 out of 10 times you will not break through until you find a sponsor. Maybe if you earn a 7-figure salary, but how many youths in Nigeria earn a 7-figure salary? The few that do are most likely not into music.”
Weflo however advised that the best way forward is for banks, government and corporate bodies to support the industry.
“We are in an era where music videos reach 100million views on Youtube, I dream of an industry where a brand for instance can take up the bill of an artiste’s musical video shoot in exchange for a feature of their product or service in the video. Banks should also beable to give loans to artistes and government needs to fund entertainment same way they fund sports”, he advised.

A Nigerian man identified as Full-time Udummiri Nwakalu on Facebook has taken to the platform to announce the dedication of his soul to the devil, claiming he is better than God.

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole has been captured in a trending video making a terrible blunder of the English Language while addressing the press.
Watch the video below:
Recall Senator Dino Melaye slammed the National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole for claiming that the seat of the Senate President belongs to the ruling party.
Melaye also accused Oshiomhole of exhibiting what he called “brain arthritis.”
The lawmaker added that the Senate presidency seat belongs to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, rather than to the ruling All Progressives Congress.
Melaye pointed out that the opposition Peoples Democratic Party gave the block vote that made Senator Bukola Saraki emerge as President of the Senate.
The lawmaker, who is one of the 14 senators that have so far defected from APC to PDP, said this while briefing journalists in Abuja on Sunday.
Oshiomhole had asked Saraki to resign as Senate President since the lawmaker had defected from the ruling to the opposition party. According to the APC chairman, the seat belongs to the majority party.
Melaye, however, condemned Oshiomhole for referring to the seat of the Senate President as a ‘crown’ that belongs to the APC. According to him, the seat is national and not political.
He said, “For those who are saying that Saraki should resign (as Senate President), I am so disappointed in the National Chairman of APC.
“He was very busy with labour and social issues that he did not take time to look at the Constitution and our extant laws to know that crowns are worn in the kingdoms, villages and communities; that there is no crown in the National Assembly.
“He has appropriated the seat of the Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to a political party. That is intellectual stagnancy. He has exhibited what can only be as a result of brain arthritis.
“I cannot understand why the national chairman of a party will not know that the seat of the Senate president is of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and has no party affiliation. Then, he appropriated the seat to APC, forgetting that even those who elected the Senate President were from the PDP.
“The PDP gave the Senate President 42 votes out of the 53 votes that he got on the day of election. So, the APC is the minority, even in the election of the President of the Senate.
“But the National Chairman of the APC, in his ‘bolekaja’ approach to life, myopically, intellectually stagnantly… anyway, you can’t give what you don’t have.”
Femi Fani-Kayode has come for Adams Oshiomhole again, this time calling him a Gorilla.
He tweeted this in reaction to the statement released by the ruling party yesterday, in which the Senate President, Bukola Saraki was described as the most unfortunate Senate President Nigeria has ever had.
The party in its statement called Saraki a traitor who ”betrayed his father, sister (many times), his party PDP in 2014, the APC in 2015 by conspiring with opposition PDP senators to emerge Senate President, APC administration by sabotaging the executive and defecting to the PDP in 2018”.
