Seyilaw is renowned for bringing joy and laughter to the lives of many Nigerians, but he is also never one to take any insult to his family on the low and some of his followers didn’t get the message.
Yesterday, the comedian posted the photo below from an outing he had with his wife and daughter.
.
An amebo follower replied saying:
Seyi Law is wearing trousers that cover his ankle while his wife’s gown or blouse can’t even cover her laps. What a tale of a couple.”
Apparently he saw the comment and he replied with “Oponu” which means ignoramus or a very stupid person
An investigation by LeadersNG into the activities of the promoters of 67millionyouth Initiative has revealed that many of them are proxy working for President Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election bid.
A presidency source who pleaded not to be named told LeadersNG that the Senior Special adviser to the president on Social Investment Programs, Ismael Ahmed is the brain behind the project.
The source further stated that many of the promoters of the project were actually those that worked for President Buhari’s emergence in 2015.
The source said, it was not an easy task in convincing the promoters to get on the project as many of them voiced out their frustration with the administration and the manner they were discarded after helping the president to win the 2015 election.
Though the organizers of the project said the 67MillionYouth Initiative is a coalition of Nigerians with the mandate to galvanize active youth participation in politics and leadership in Nigeria, our source told us in confidence that the initiative is aimed at galvanizing support for President Buhari who has lost popularity amongst the youths.
Most of the Trustees of the initiative are active members of the All Progressives Congress with few others from other political parties which make up the list to make the initiative look non-partisan.
One of the trustees by name, Debola Williams co-owned the RED media with Chude Jideonwo, that vigorously campaigned for the Nigerian leader to become president in 2015.
The RED media according to LeadersNG investigation was contracted in 2014 by the then DG of Buhari’s Campaign Organization, Mr Rotimi Amaechi to help launder the image of the Nigerian leader whom many believed was a perpetual runner and unelectable leader.
On the list of the 67millionyouth are prominent APC members and artistes who have been contracted to use their huge followership to sway young people.
Most of the delegates on the 67millionYouth initiative are aides of the President, ministers, principal officers of the National Assembly and governors elected under the platform of the All Progressives Congress.
LeadersNG also gathered that one of the delegates, Nigerian R&B artiste, Bankole Wellington AKA Mr Banky W has been contracted by President Buhari’s administration to promote the president’s re-election bid under the guise of the 67millionYouth initiative. Her colleague Simi is alleged to have been contracted also.
Banky W earlier this year announced the dissolution of the record label arm Empire Mates Entertainment (EME), which he co-founded with the son of former Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, Harold Demuren.
The singer in an Instagram post said, EME’s business venture will now be marketing, advertising, public relations, branding, shooting of television commercials and documentaries.
He named TV personality, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, OAP Tolu ‘Toolz’ Oniru, wife of Captain Tunde Demuren, DJ Xclusive, and Adesua Etomi as the first set of clients of the rebranded company.
LeadersNG through a presidential source learned, the campaign organisation is in contact with many A-list artistes, many of whom are indifferent to President Buhari’s brand and have said they can’t put their careers on the line for a president who is believed to have performed below average.
However, many of the delegates LeadersNG spoke with before filing this report said they were surprised to find their names on the list as they were not informed before putting up their names.
“The organizers are just looking for a way to legitimize their fraud! I was never at anytime, a member of any youths group” . A delegate whose name was included on the list without her consent told LeadersNG.
Our Investigation further revealed that the sum of Two Hundred Million Naira (N200M) has been budgeted for the project to take off. The money LeadersNG learned was sourced from the NNPC through the SSA to the President on Social Investment Programs, Ismael Ahmed.
Meanwhile, some online commentators have taken to their twitter handles to voice their distrust with the 67millionyouth initiative.
Many of the commentators have questioned the integrity of the characters behind the initiative as majority of the trustees were the same set of youths that actively participated in bringing the current administration to power.
Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, has implored Nigerians to not give up their hopes on the plans of President Buhari to build a new Nigeria.
He said the pains that are being experienced at the moment are just the price to pay for a better tomorrow.
Aregbesola, who stated this during the weekend, while hosting the Committee on South-West Youth and Women Sensitisation Programme, led by wife of the Deputy Governor of Katsina State, Hajia Mariya Buhari Munir, appealed to Nigerians to be patient with the Buhari-led administration.
In a report by The Guardian, he told the group that was on a courtesy visit to him that despite the challenges Nigerians are faced with, there is still light at the end of the tunnel because they have a President who can be trusted.
Aregbesola said,
“For whoever that has grievances with the present Federal Government, I want you to know that it is not always easy to correct an already damaged situation. It is obvious that there are challenges and pains, but I want us to see it as the challenge of building a new Nigeria.
“We should accept the hardships we are facing now as the price to pay for building a new Nigeria of our dreams; that country where everything will work the way it ought to is what our president is working hard to achieve. We shall get there and we shall all be better for it.
“We cannot give up on Nigeria at this time, we are almost there, let’s have faith in our president; we can do it and I know it is possible. Nigeria is redeemable and the process has already started with the present administration.”
The governor said the rot inherited from the past administration could not be hurriedly fixed in one or two years, explaining that the nation would have experienced serious doom if the present administration had not berthed when it did.
He described Buhari as a partner in progress and a pillar of strength and support to many states that could not finance themselves, citing the various forms of assistance given to them in the form of bailouts, the Paris Club refund and others, which helped them to find their feet.
Veteran musician and dancer Daddy Showkey has said that contrary to some people’s opinion, he is not quitting music for advocacy.

Before now, he was using his Instagram page to constantly express how angry he feels about the tankers and containers being parked within the residential areas in Ajegunle.
He further emphasised and revealed the reason behind his crusade against tankers and trailers parking around the major roads in Ajegunle. He said ;
“People’s lives are in danger and they are important to me. The tankers always obstruct the road and if there is an emergency, people will not find an escape route easily. Every business around Ajegunle is dying because people cannot access the area easily. I wanted the governor to see what the people are going through and I am happy that he has finally intervened.”
However he didn’t fail to use his Instagram account to also call the governor’s attention to the container terminal in Ajegunle Donclimax, he said,
“The container terminal in Donclimax should also be moved; it is high time we started showing concern over the welfare of ordinary people within Lagos State and Nigeria generally.“Why would they build a container terminal in a residential area? A container terminal is supposed to be close to a seaport. I will keep advocating for my people, because they are the ones that listen to our songs and buy my albums.”

She said ;
“I didn’t have a good relationship with my father growing up because he wanted a male child. Those made me understand as a child that you have to fight for yourself because it is about you alone at the end of the day.
“People think I like money, the fear of failing makes me work hard. I always push myself to succeed and be the person everyone doubted me to be. When I was little, people would ask me what gave me the impression I could become successful in life. I once struggled to pay my rent and I have been turned down by people many times. I didn’t get here because I am beautiful or an actress; I kept pushing myself. I do things that you will never think I can do; nobody thought I would be given an admission at the prestigious Harvard Business School.”
She said she was aware that everyone had a limited time to spend on earth, insisting that she had decided to live like there was no tomorrow.
Ike explained further ;
“I have been through a lot in my life; I have my ups and downs. I try to have a good life because life is too short. I lost my mother when she was still very young, which made me realise that we cannot live as long as we want. You don’t even know what can happen tomorrow; so, you have to embrace every moment.”

Nollywood actor, Emeka Enyiocha who has been away from the movie scene for quite some time now, has explained his reason for the absence.
Enyiocha, who owned a beer parlour in the Surulere area of Lagos said;
“I don’t want to work for other people to eat.”
The actor added that the people he handed over the business to were mismanaging it, forcing him to close it down.
On why he left the movie world;
”I left the industry because I got married and started having kids. I had more responsibilities to deal with. I needed to be closer to my family and kids so that they would not call me uncle when they see me. Marriage and family slowed me down. It definitely slows someone down except you do not want to take care of your family.”
Former BBNaija Housemate, Lolu has opened up in a new interview on his relationship with Anto both during and after the show and he insisted that the kiss they shared in the house was as real as life.
Lolu Somuyiwa, in the interview with Segun Adebayo and Victor Ogunyinka, of Tribune, also opened up that life after the house has not been easy.
Safe to say it has been overwhelming. With having to deal with a barrage of messages from women, who want a piece of him, to building what he called an uncommon brand to living up to expectations from people.
Excerpts below:
Since you left the Big Brother Naija house, you have been seen everywhere attending events and making new friends. What have you been up to?
I have been everywhere trying to be successful. I have been building my brand and achieving my goals as much as I can. Big Brother gave us a platform and I have been trying to build on that platform to achieve everything God has placed in my heart.
Has it been hard building your brand on that big platform?
The brand I am trying to build is not one that would be built overnight. What I am building requires a lot of hard work and groundwork, and a lot of determination and commitment. So far, so good! I have been working hard to bring that dream to reality.
As much as I am working hard to bring make sure everything turns out fine, I have come to understand that by the time you get to the end of a destination, you will realise that there is another destination. Basically, I am a work in progress. I am grateful for how far I have come, but there is more work to be done.
After the Big Brother show, was there a time that you felt like there were things you should have handled better; what was that thing you wished you could take back?
What makes a man is him being able to accept responsibilities for his actions; whether good or bad. I don’t think I should have done anything differently or take anything back. I have always felt like everything I did in the house was done with the same sound mind. I don’t have any regrets about whatever happened in that house. I am so happy that for those 11 weeks I was in the house, I was myself.
Let’s talk about you and Anto. There was the first and second coming. There was also the kissing moments that everybody saw. Was that kiss real? Or you were acting?
Acting? The only time I acted while in the house was one of those times when we had to carry out a particular task. People felt I acted because I may have been blessed to know how to use words. My experience in the media spanned over 10 years, where I am used to words day in day out.
Apart from being in the media, I read a lot and I had to learn from people. I think people just finally got to see me on television as opposed to hearing my voice on radio. Whatever happened in that house was not an act. It was real from day one till I left.
Recently, we had the gist about Alex and Khloe having a big fight over Leo when he celebrated his birthday. In fact, we learnt that Khloe deleted Leo’s pictures on her instgram page afterwards. What exactly is going on between the two girls?
People just like blow things out of proportion. All the housemates are on the same Whatsapp group and we all talk regularly. There was never a time that this issue came up in the group. Alex and Khloe are in that group.
Both of them talk in that group. It does not make any sense to me. People are very quick to add up one or two things to paint the picture they imagined. I won’t say they are best of friends, but they have mutual respect for each other. I don’t think there is any snatching of Leo gist anywhere.

A Nigerian man from the Northern region who reportedly fired his plumber just for being yoruba, took to Twitter to advocate for less association between Northerners and Southerners.
He said that Southerners hate Northerners and don’t even hide it. He also said that Southerners also envy the privileges Northerners enjoy.
His tweet reads;
Those of you Arewa Twitter overloads retweeting tweets from these southern people, I hope you know you’re making them more popular? These people hate you, hate your way of living and envy your privileges. They don’t even hide their hatreds towards you.
Why must you associate yourselves with them? Unfollow them, draw a barrier between you and them. Our plumber is a Yoruba guy but i told him today that he won’t ever work for us. Yes it’s that personal. They’re loyal to you only when they’re benefiting from you.
Seeing the backlash his tweets caused, he deleted the tweets and revealed that he just wrote that to spite people ;
Mission accomplished. I made lot of you angry. I’d take the tweet down. This is to make you feel how we feel when you’re unfairly judged. We didn’t sack any plumber. All my tailors, except 1, are from the south in workshop. We aren’t tribalistic but you’re pushing us to the wall.

Nigerian singer L.A.X, in a exclusive interview with Star Tracker, speaks on his successes, recent projects, plans, hopes and more.
Read excerpts from the interview below;
What new projects are you working on at the moment?
Right now I’m working on my album. Last year I was working on it but I lost my hard drive on which I had close to 90 songs on. This happened early last year after I dropped ‘Run away’. I felt like there was a reason I lost those songs, so I focused on creating a new sound for myself. So when you hear my music now you will notice that the sound is different from what I had on ‘Caro’ or ‘Ginger’. It’s now a different vibe all together. I just felt like that is the direction God wants me to go. Right now my album is on the way and it will be ready before the end of the year.
Where do you see yourself in the next one year?
I will be as big as Wizkid and Davido, even bigger than them. There’s nobody that can’t be. I let my music speak for me, I have sat with people that won’t lie to me, people that are bigger than me and when they listen to my songs it’s the same feedback.
Months after the split of the duo Psquare, Peter one half of the group explains that it was the disrespect directed towards himself and his family that pushed him to quit.
Peter Okoye, now known as Mr P, says his brother Paul would insult his wife and kids and expect a Psquare performance moments later.
Peter married Lola Omotayo-Okoye in 2015 and they have two children named Cameron and Aliona.
“In life what we call family value is important,” said the ‘Ebeano’ singer said on Citizen TV in Kenya.
“The fans want Psquare but how many times do you want Psquare to come back and break up.
“We’ve broken up three times and the same issue is still there. So if Psquare is going to come back we need to settle that issue. Psquare might come back, they might not come back.
Peter said he must put his wife and children first because of the vow he made on his wedding day.
“I pulled out the plug because I felt the disrespect coming from my family (was) getting too much,” he said.
“There’s something we call marginalisation. Don’t ever be a slave because you want to be family.
“Psquare can only come back if the respect comes 100 percent.
“I don’t disrespect my brother’s wife neither, his family but he does that to me all the time. He’ll insult me and my family in public, on Instagram, and the next minute he’ll wait for me backstage for us to perform together.
“I can’t do that. One thing is for sure, I took a vow to protect my wife and kids the day I got married and I stick to that.”

Another Nigerian has been killed in South Africa, bringing the number of those killed since January 2016 to 121.
Mr Chibuzo Nwankwo, 42-year-old Enugu State indigene, was shot in the early hours of Friday at a local bar in Kempton Park, Johannesburg, following a disagreement with an unknown person.
The Nigerian community in South Africa on Saturday confirmed the killing of Nwankwo.
The community said that Nwankwo`s death brings to 121 the number of Nigerians killed in South Africa since January 2016.
Mr Habib Miller, the Publicity Secretary of the Nigerian Union in South Africa, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on the telephone from Pretoria on Saturday.
“The deceased, a patron of the bar, got drunk and started harassing a female worker.
“Information available to the union said that Nwankwo was chased out by security personnel, but he kept on coming back; became very aggressive and rude before the ugly incident occurred,’’ he said.
Miller said that the South African police later intervened and arrested the murder suspect.
“A murder case has been opened and investigation has started. We call on Nigerians to be calm and allow the law to take its course,” Miller said.
He said the union was against any form of violence, adding that it would monitor the case to ensure that justice prevailed. (NAN)
