Nollywood Actress, Georgina Onuoha’s marriage ended a while ago and a family source has shed more light on what may have led to the alcohol addiction of her husband, Dr. Ifeanyi Charles Igwegbe, which ended their marriage.

In 2015, Dr Ifeanyi was arrested for driving under influence after an accident that almost claimed the life of a woman. This led to the suspension of his medical license.

The family source has however blamed Georgina Onuoha for the man’s misfortune with claims that she ruined his career with her bad habit. The source, Andy (last name withheld) alleged that Georgina was behind the deportation of her ex-husband’s cousin Shantel to Nigeria.

The source also said Dr Igwegbe, who helped bring the actress’s siblings into the US, became an alcoholic out of frustration from her trouble.

“I have taught this to many married women, who say their husband is too busy and several of them listened and snapped out of that if he loves you, he will find time to call and make time for you.

“Others are just set in their ways. That thought process is one reason many relationships break up, some before it even starts.

“While I agree that it’s important to be in touch, constantly, with your significant other, I also believe that there are times when work really can hold you down and shut down the world.

Police parade Chibok girls’ abductors in Borno

On Wednesday, the Police in Borno paraded 22 suspected Boko Haram terrorists, including eight men said to be responsible for the 2014 abduction of over 200 girls at Government Girls’ Secondary School, Chibok.

The suspects, were paraded by the state Police Commissioner, Damian Chukwu who revealed they were apprehended at different locations in Borno and Yobe States.

Chukwu said the police recovered 11 AK47 rifles and other weapons from the suspects, adding that they confessed to over 50 suicide bombings within Borno and Adamawa States, invasion of Bama, Gwoza and several other attacks.

He also said the suspects admitted to killing thousands of innocent citizens including security agents in the North East.

The police commissioner said:

“Suspects narrated various roles each of them played. Amongst them are the commanders and coordinators of suicide bombings in Borno State, coordinator and members of the Chibok School Girls kidnapping, ambushes of security agents, logistics suppliers and receivers of gold, international currencies and cows, among others.

“Mayinta Modu, 23, alias Abor, confessed to being one of the Boko Haram commanders, who coordinated and led the kidnapping of the Chibok School girls in 2014 and several attacks on Bama, Gwoza and Mubi towns in Borno and Adamawa States.”

Those allegedly responsible for the Chibok girls’ abduction and several murderous attacks were identified as Commander, Mayinta Modu (23), Adam Mohammed (20), Gujja Jidda (21), Mamman Wadi (25), Alhaji Modu Jidda (29), Ajiri Bulama Dungus (22), Mohammed Abba (20) and Fannami Mustapha (22).

After Ruggedman called out Yomi Shogunle, the Assistant Commissioner of Police, claiming that he shared a fake story about him, Police PRO, Dolapo Badmus has written to him.

Yomi Shogunle had shared a photo of Ruggedman with a Federal SARS officer and alleged that Ruggedman, who has been very vocal in his call to end SARS, has now turned around to join those calling for SARS to be reformed rather than to be scrapped.

Calling the ACP out, Ruggedman was incensed when he saw the photo being used to pass the wrong message, so he fired back and reiterated that he is all for #EndSARS. ICYMI

Reacting to his action after he tagged her in his call out post, PPRO, Dolapo wrote to him that he shouldn’t be partial in his judgement and rather chose a side.

She wrote,

I came across this and I wasn’t surprised! Firstly I didn’t expect @ruggedybaba to tag me having taken into cognisance the fact that in a long while he has stopped tagging me in anything police matter!

The ‘Living In Bondage’ star who declared his ambition some weeks back under the platform of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Enugu with the immediate past governor of the state, Sullivan Chime, in attendance, has now shared his poster.

Juventus, the biggest soccer club in Italy, sold 520,000 Ronaldo jerseys in just 24 hours, according to Yahoo Italy.

As official Ronaldo jerseys cost about $120, that would be $62.4 million in total revenue almost half his transfer fee.

Ronaldo left Real Madrid for Juventus last week in a $129.3 million deal, but the Italian club will not recuperate the bulk of the transfer fee from shirt sales alone, as typically clubs receive only 10-15% of the revenue generated by the kit manufacturer (Adidas). It is therefore likely that Juventus will see about $6 million to $9 million of this money.

Outgoing Governor of Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, on Wednesday raised alarm over aerial surveillance of the Government House, Ado-Ekiti by a police helicopter.

According to the governor, the police chopper has constituted danger to his personal safety, his family, workers and visitors to the Government House.

In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi, the governor described the development as “brazen show of naked force and abuse of power by the Federal Government.”

According to him, he sees no reason for the aerial surveillance of his official residence and office since the state governorship election is over. He also accused the nation’s security forces of allowing themselves to be used to intimidate political opponents despite being funded with tax payers’ money.

His statement in part reads ;

“They continue to fly helicopters over the Government House and Governor’s Office in a way that compromises the safety and well-being of residents and workers. The helicopter flies so low that it runs the risk of crashing into high-rise buildings and masts within the premises. The noise pollution this causes is enough irritation. This brazen show of naked force and abuse of power is as ungodly as it is undemocratic. If the security forces belong to all Nigerians and not to President Muhammadu Buhari and APC, it should not be biased in this blatant manner. It is unprofessional of the security forces to allow themselves be this debased, running APC errands when they are funded with resources that belong to all of us. They are obligated by the Constitution to be apolitical and not willing tools in the hands of the powers-that-be Once again, I say I will not be intimidated. I will stand on my feet until every injustice is upturned and the freedom and liberties of our people are restored. The thief runneth when no one pursueth. They are afraid of their shadows.”

A 39-year-old man has divorced his wife after accusing her of giving birth to too many children like a “rabbit”.

Michael Ayinde dragged his wife, Glory, to court seeking the annulment of their marriage with the explanation that she has a penchant for unbridled procreation.

The couple had been married for nine years, however, their union has now come to an end over what many would find as a comical issue.

The presiding officer of the Igando Customary Court, Akin Akinniyi, said the marriage hit the rocks after the responded failed to appear in court.

“Throughout the duration of this case, the respondent (Glory) refused to honour court processes.

“Therefore, the court has no choice than to dissolve the marriage; the court hereby pronounce the marriage between Mr. Michael Ayinde and Mrs. Glory Ayinde dissolved.

“Both parties henceforth cease to be husband and wife and are free to go their separate ways without any hindrance or molestation,” Mr. Akinniyi ruled.

Earlier, Mr. Ayinde told the court that he wanted a divorce because his wife’s constant reproduction had become a burden for him due to the harsh economic conditions.

According to him, Glory has had six children within the nine-year duration of their marriage.

“Before I married Glory, I warned her that I needed only two kids irrespective of their gender so that I can afford their upkeep. She agreed only for her to discard the agreement after marriage.

“My wife wants to kill me with children. She is giving birth to children like rabbits. In nine years, she has delivered six babies.

“She was sacked from her workplace just because she gets pregnant immediately after she resumes from maternity leave,’’ he added.

Robbery suspects use ‘charm’ on SARS operatives to escape from custody

Two robbery suspects, Bukola Adeoye and Rotimi Adeyeye, who reportedly escaped from the custody of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Ondo State Police Command, Akure were alleged to have charmed the officers on duty to escape.

According to PUNCH, it was reported that suspects were arrested for robbery in Akure some weeks ago and were kept in the custody of SARS, but later escaped with handcuffs.

A girlfriend of one of the suspects, Loveth Ogbu, who was arrested by the police, told our correspondent at the command headquarters, Akure, on Wednesday that she never knew her boyfriend was a robber.

Ogbu was paraded alongside five other robbery suspects who were alleged to be members of Adeyeye and Adeoye’s gang.

Ogbu said ;

“I am Rotimi’s (Adeyeye) girlfriend. We lived together in the Ijoka area of Akure. I did not know that he was an armed robber until he was arrested by policemen. The policemen told me that he and his friend, Bukola ( Adeoye ) were armed robbers.

“When they were in police custody, his elder brother, Barrister, gave two of them juju (charm) to use on the policemen on duty. He also helped them to remove the handcuffs after they escaped.

“They used the juju on the policemen at the SARS so that they could escape. The policemen on duty were hypnotised, so they were able to escape.”

However, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Gbenga Adeyanju , who paraded the suspects, said Adeyeye and Adeoye, after escaping from the SARS custody, moved to Ore in the Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State, “where they continued their criminal activities.”

He further stated that it was Adeyeye’s lover, Ogbu that assisted the police to know the whereabouts of the two robbery suspects.

The commissioner explained that when they went to the hideout, the suspects engaged policemen in a shootout and Adeoye was shot, while Adeyeye escaped again.

He added that Adeoye later died at a hospital following the injury sustained in the gun duel.

Adeyanju said ;

“On July 17, 2018, detectives received information that the escaped armed robbery suspects, Bukola Adeoye and Rotimi Adeyeye were taking cover in the house of one Loveth Ogbu, and she was arrested.

“During interrogation, she confessed that the escaped armed robbery suspects were in Ore. Based on the confession, the police arrested one Felix Eteti, who was a member of the gang.

“Detectives trailed the robbers to Christ Foundation Primary School Ore and on sighting the detectives, the robbers opened fire on them. During the exchange of gunfire, One of the armed robbery suspects, Bukola Adeoye, sustained gunshot injury and died a few hours after being admitted in a hospital.”

A Nigerian man has offered praises to God after his wife emerged from a terrible accident alive.

Onoride Kevin, a Nigerian man whose wife emerged from an accident alive, has given thanks to God.

The man’s wife survived the terrible accident that saw their car somersault in Abuja yesterday.

According to Mr. Onoride, his wife was on her way to work when a speeding car clashed with her own along airport road. Her own vehicle plunged into the gutter but she was quite unharmed.

The grateful man shared photos from the accident scene and then wrote the following words.

Butt enlargement doctor flees as client dies hours after surgery

A high profile plastic surgeon nicknamed Dr. Bumbum is on the run after a woman died hours after a procedure on her buttocks.

Dr. Denis Furtado, who is regularly on Brazilian TV and has 647,000 Instagram followers, has performed thousands of bottom enlargement operations. But he vanished when Lilian Calixto, 46, fell ill and died after receiving injections at his Rio de Janeiro home.

It is thought that the married mum-of-two wanted to have acrylic fillers injected to increase the size of her buttocks, and a hormone implant to treat symptoms of menopause. But soon after, she began gasping for air and Dr. Furtado took her to the Barra D’Or hospital.

Ms Calixto, a bank worker, was found to be in an “extremely severe condition, unresponsive to manoeuvres,” and died within hours.

A hospital source claimed that the surgeon accidentally injected the product into her artery, leading to a blood clot that ruptured her heart.

Dr. Furtado’s girlfriend and a nurse who assisted him in the procedure have been arrested, but officers have not been able to track him down.

Ms Calixto’s husband of 20 years, Osmar Jamberci, told Brazil’s Extra newspaper: “She went on Saturday night and was due to return that night, it was going to be a quick thing.

“She told the family that she was going to have an implant because of the menopause.

“At 8.30am on Sunday, this doctor called me telling me there had been a complication and that they needed someone (for the hospital) to release her body.

“It was the only time I spoke to him, and after that, he disappeared.”

The couple’s 13-year-old daughter was said to be the only person who knew she was preparing to have her buttocks lifted.

Police and Rio de Janeiro’s Regional Medical Council have opened separate investigations into the incident.

Twin Brothers die in accident after visiting mother

A set of twins, Taiwo and Kehinde Animashaun, 31, died in an auto crash, on Saturday, while returning to their houses in Ijoko after a visit to their widowed mom’s residence in the Sango area of Ogun State.

According to reports, the motorcycle they were riding on, crashed into a stationary truck parked by the roadside. The twins and the motorcycle rider, Wahab Lamidi, died on the spot.

It was gathered that the twins checked on their widowed mother after attending a family function in the area.

After spending some hours with their parent, they left for home around 9pm on the motorcycle which ran into the truck at Vulcanizer Bus-Stop.

Speaking with PUNCH correspondent, the elder brother of the twins, Afeez Animashaun, said the incident happened on Sunday.

He said, “They both came for the introduction of one of our family members and they went to visit our mother afterwards.

“They both left at the same time because they lived not too far from each other. They left around 9pm only for us to get a call an hour later that they were involved in an accident.

“We were told that while they were on their way, the motorcycle ran into a faulty stationary truck that failed to use the C-Caution sign. They and the rider died immediately.”

He explained that Taiwo’s wife and the deceased’s mother had been distraught since the incident happened, adding that the twins were very fond of each other.

The truck driver, Bisi Oluniyi, who was said to have been transporting cassava peels to a piggery in Oke-Aro, was subsequently arrested for not using a caution sign that could have averted the accident.

Neighbours lock adulterous woman, lover in her home overnight

The neighbours of a Zimbabwean man, Godfrey Makeche Ncube of Chinotimba suburb teamed up in mob justice style to trap Tafireyi Zimba who had been cheating with his wife, Cynthia Ngwenya.

Neighbours who included Ncube’s brothers guarded the house securing it with a padlock the whole night to make sure that the lovebirds did not escape, reports iHarare.

The lovebirds were only released the following morning when they were whisked away to the police station.

Ngwenya and Zimba, who is a security guard at Masimba Construction have been accused of having an extramarital sexual relationship while Ncube worked the night shift at a shop in Chinotimba suburb for some months regardless of the fact that she has a six-month-old baby.

Ncube declined to give details about the issue, “To me this is now in the past and talking about it will just rekindle the pain. I can’t talk about it and you cannot write as well because you were not there. We went to the police and they told me not to go around talking about the issue,” he told reporters.

Officer Commanding Victoria Falls District Chief Superintendent Tadeus Madondo confirmed the incident, however, he said no criminal report was filed.

Meghan Markle’s half-sister, Samantha Grant escalated a family feud with a series of angry tweets on her private account targeting the former actress saying, “my father is not an embarrassment for loving his daughter! The Royals are an embarrassment for being so cold”.

“You should be ashamed of yourselves @KensingtonRoyal. How about you pay tribute to your own father?! Enough is enough. Act like a humanitarian act like a woman! If our father dies I’m holding you responsible, Meg!” Grant said.

Grant’s outburst occurred two days after Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle, told The Sun that he thought the new Duchess of Sussex looked “terrified” to be a royal and that she hadn’t spoken to him since the day after her wedding to Prince Harry. Young man beaten severely for stealing bibles in Anambra

In a rather bizarre version of events, a suspected thief got severely beaten after he was caught stealing bibles at a store in Anambra state on Wednesday.

The owners of the bible store nabbed him and severely dealt with him before taking photos of him with the stolen bibles.

Everyone has been left to wonder why the young man would steal the Holy Books – he just might have done the criminal act so as to sell the books and all but the amusement of many is how this christian vendors didn’t portray the act of Christ while taking action on the criminal.

Imagine, “what would Jesus do?” will he gather his 12 disciples and beat up this gentleman for stealing the Holy word that’ll be sold for the propagation of the gospel at the end of the day? or he’d rather not condemn him and ask that he go and not continue in his sins…

The question comes to mind because the people who dealt with him are supposedly Christians and as Christians, one ought not to condemn his fellow brother over his sins but rather help him in the right path of restitution and make his ways right with God.

FG announces name of proposed New National Carrier

The Federal Government of Nigeria on Wednesday announced that the name of the proposed new National Carrier is ‘Nigeria Air’.

Minister of State for Aviation, Sen. Hadi Sirika, disclosed this while unveiling the airline to investors at the ongoing Farnborough International Air Show in UK.

The colour is green, white and green.

Meanwhile, the government has started negotiations with aircraft manufacturers and investors.

Sirika said he had met with the Management of Airplane manufacturers Airbus to negotiate the acquisition of the desired aircraft for the nation.

Sirika also disclosed that negotiations with Boeing and other Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) would take place on Tuesday.

According to the Minister, the ongoing International Air Show is an opportunity to negotiate with airline manufacturers with the view of getting the most competitive and best value-for-money deals for the country.

He said he would also explore every opportunity available at the air show, an event that brings the biggest and the best in the industry, to attract more prospective investors into the Nigerian aviation environment.

Fire guts UBA Pensions building in Lagos

The Pensions building of the United Bank of Africa (UBA) was gutted by wild fire a few hours ago.

Some reports have it that the headquarters of the bank was burnt down, however it has been confirmed that the Pension building was caught up in flames.

As at the time of this report, the area has been cleared as the authorities immediately swung into actions.

The two ladies dropped comments on each other’s pictures showing love to each other.

Nigerian Superstar Singer and songwriter, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun better known as Wizkid, is recognised globally and on the home front, he is also a father of three boys.

The star boy is a father to three lovely and handsome boys from three different mothers.

The first is Boluwatife Balogun, whose mother is Sola Ogudu. The second son, who he named after himself, Ayodeji Balogun, is born to Binta Diallo. The last but certainly not the least is his son, Zion Balogun, by his ex-manager, Jada Pollack.
