doctor died

A Consultant at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki identified as Dr. Canice Ebirim died on Tuesday during the Super Eagles and Argentina match.

The Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the same hospital, Dr. Emeka Ogah confirmed his death.

He told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday that reports reaching him suggested that Ebirim died within the period of the match.

The CMD said that he received the news of his death at about 9 p.m. while the match was ongoing.

Ogah said that a friend of the deceased informed him that Ebirim started behaving funny within that period.

“Ebirim’s friend said that the deceased started moving suspiciously and solicited for assistance which made him intervene and took him (Ebirim) to the hospital.

“Efforts made to revive him at our hospital proved abortive as he died but we would liaise with his family to conduct an autopsy.

“We are surprised at his death because he consulted at the hospital on Tuesdays. We have to wait till autopsy is conducted to draw further conclusions,” he said.

A friend of the deceased, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said that he (Ebirim) resided in Owerri with his family and only visited FETHA during his clinic days.

“He was a dedicated and lively fellow who will surely be missed by his family, friends and associates,” he said.

Teenagers kidnapped in Ondo for prostitution reveals they slept with 15 men daily

Teenagers kidnapped

Two teenage girls who were sometime ago reported missing, tortured and raped by some men in Ondo town have returned home.

The girls were declared missing after a video of their naked selves and torture was uploaded on social media platforms by five men who had been remanded in custody for the rape.

The accused – Bode Akinsiku, Olabanji Femi, Abiodun Ayodele, Fadairo Wahab, and Adedayo Adebayo – were alleged to have lured the two teenagers to the house of one of them on Kogbona Street in the town, where the victims were allegedly raped and tortured.

The two raped girls and one other teenager alleged on Tuesday that they were abducted shortly after the rape trial started.

They alleged that the wife of one of the suspects, Toyin Akinsiku, and one Imole, masterminded their abduction.

The teenagers said Akinsiku took them to an unidentified woman in Lagos State, who used them for prostitution and menial jobs.

One of them said, “We were going back home in company with one of our friends, Posi, on the day when the two women forced us to climb an okada and took us towards the Awoyaya area along Ondo-Ore Road in Ondo town, where we later boarded a bus to Lagos.

“Our abductors handed us over to a woman who specialised in hotel business and forced us to become prostitutes in the hotel. We take more than 15 men on a daily basis and the woman gave us N500 every day.

“At times, we were made to hawk sachet water. But when it was weekend, we were inside the hotel for business. We later ran away from the hotel.”

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Femi Joseph, who confirmed the return of the girls, said Toyin had been arrested and would be charged to court for kidnapping.

He said: “The girls were abducted in Ondo and taken to Lagos State for prostitution by the wife of one of the suspects (Toyin), but the girls managed to escape.

“We have arrested Mrs Akinsiku, while the other woman ran away. We will soon charge her to court for kidnapping.”

“Very soon, we’ll have SARS that is responsible” – VP Yemi Osinbajo

Vice president, Yemi Osinbajo has stated that the federal government is working to deal with the atrocities of operatives of Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Nigerian Police Force.

The VP said this while fielding questions from young Nigerians at a Town Hall meeting, on the sideline of the launch of the National Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Clinics in Ibadan on Tuesday.

He stated that the Federal Government’s commitment to addressing the concerns raised about SARS operations is reflected in President Buhari’s directive for an immediate review and restructuring of the unit.

VP Yemi Osinbajo

Osinbajo said:

Many people are complaining about the atrocities of SARS, people are saying there should be no more SARS. SARS as you know is anti-robbery squad but several members of the squad have gone rogue and are doing things that are contrary to the very reasons for which they were set up.

But it is not enough to just say, ‘end SARS’. You know it is an anti-robbery squad. What we need to end is to deal with the atrocities of SARS, we want to end everything that is wrong that they are doing and we must always have in place, a force that is able to protect us against robbery, against kidnapping and all that.

The President has already ordered a review of the formation of SARS so that very soon we will be able to have SARS that will be responsible.

Maradona hit by high blood pressure after Nigeria, Argentina match

Argentina great Diego Maradona appeared to need help to walk after watching his national team dramatically beat Nigeria to survive in the World Cup, according to a video clip posted on Twitter.

Argentine media, including newspaper La Nacion, said Maradona was treated for low blood pressure in the stadium and was able to leave normally shortly afterwards.

In the video posted by Fernando Schwartz, a well-known sports journalist in Mexico, a man can be seen helping Maradona to stay on his feet as he was led away from his seat overlooking the pitch and into an adjacent room.

A photograph also posted on Twitter appeared to show two medical staff attending to Maradona.

Earlier, he had been captured by television cameras flicking his middle fingers toward the crowd and celebrating wildly as Argentina beat Nigeria 2-1 with the winner coming minutes before the South Americans would have been eliminated from the finals.

The Argentine website of sports broadcaster ESPN said Maradona was taken to hospital. But other Argentine media described the incident as only a scare.

A spokesman for World Cup organizers FIFA said Maradona had left the stadium but could not provide further comment.
A spokesman for Argentina’s football association could not immediately be reached.

Maradona, who led Argentina to the 1986 World Cup title, has battled cocaine addiction in the past. In 2015, he underwent a gastric bypass operation.

The whole of Nigeria was let down when Super Eagles lost to Argentina 2-1 in an intense match up last night.

With the game tied at 1-1, Nigeria players surrounded the referee when it appeared that Marcos Rojo handballed the ball in his own penalty area in the second half of the clash. The match official used VAR, but decided against awarding the spot-kick, much to the dismay of Nigerians.

Super Eagles might have had a possible win if they were awarded the penalty. Nigerians felt they were robbed by the Turkish referee, Cuneyt Cakir.

Mikel, as captain of his country, led the discussion with referee Cuneyt Cakir and, despite appearing to have been informed that the ball had struck Rojo’s head first, the former Chelsea midfielder claims to have received no suitable explanation as to why a spot kick was not given.

“I don’t understand how that wasn’t a penalty, for me it was a clear handball,” he said, according to FourFourTwo.

“It was a clear penalty. Maybe the referee has given the first penalty and doesn’t want to give a second one.

“But a penalty is a penalty. He (the referee) looked at the VAR, (we asked him) did the ball hit the hand? He said ‘yes’, but why it’s not a penalty? I don’t understand.”

Meanwhile, Former Chelsea striker, Didier Drogba has claimed that bad officiating masterminded the Super Eagles ouster at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Nigeria lost 2-1 against Argentina in their final Group D game at the Russia tournament in which a draw would have helped the Super Eagles to qualify for the round of 16.

Didier Drogba stated emphatically that referee Cuneyt Cakir favored Argentina unjustly with the decision not to award the second penalty to Nigeria.

“I think it’s a bad decision from the referee not to give Nigeria a second penalty,. It’s the defender’s mistake he didn’t read the ball well. “It’s difficult to give the penalty because it would take Argentina out of the competition,” Didier Drogba told BBC One.

World Cup 2018: ‘It’s a big disappointment’ – Gernot Rohr Speaks on Nigeria’s exit

Gernot Rohr speaks

Super Eagles’ coach Gernot Rohr has reacted to his team’s 2-1 loss to Argentina in Tuesday’s World Cup game calling it ‘a big disappointment.’

Marcos Rojo’s 86th-minute effort made the difference in the encounter to deny the Super Eagles a place in the World Cup round of 16.

Although he admitted that his side put in their best in the tourney, he has expressed his displeasure for their failure to move to the next round of the competition.

“It’s a big disappointment, my team did the best, played a very good second half and are missing a few minutes to have qualified,” Rohr said in a post-match press conference.

“I am proud of my players. We played well in the second half, we are missing a bit of experience, we have a young team and I think these kind of matches are building the character of the team and in four years they will be very strong.”

On his future with the Super Eagles following the exit, he said: “I would like to continue because I have a good feeling with this team.

“We have players who are very young doing well. It’s a good cocktail of youth, passion and discipline. We have never had any problems.

We lost the first game, worked very hard to be better in the second and they did so well that we hoped to come through against Argentina.

“Like you see, we miss a bit of experience in the last minutes, but this is building the character and we will learn and be better in the next cup – the Afcon – and I hope we will do well in this competition.”

It’s unfair to say i’m silent on killer herdsmen because I look like them – Pres. Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari says it is unfair for people to accuse him of not reprimanding suspected gun-wielding herdsmen because he looks like them.

Buhari said this on Tuesday during an interactive session with stakeholders in Plateau state.

The president has been accused of keeping mum on the killings by suspected herders across the country.

After the attack on Plateau, the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders’ Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) said no one should expect peace because they lost 300 cows, indirectly taking responsibility for the killings.

However, in his reaction to the mass killing, Buhari blamed the continued attacks on desperate politicians whom he says were taking advantage of the situation ahead of the 2019 elections.

In a statement by Garba Shehu, senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity, Buhari said he has directed security chiefs in the country to remain vigilant and ensure the protection of lives and property in the country.

He also urged traditional and community leaders to complement government efforts by persuading their constituencies to tolerate one another for peace and unity in the country.

‘‘I will continue to pressurise members of the law enforcement agencies directly under me by the Constitution as the Commander-in Chief. About eight days ago, we had five hours security meeting of the service chiefs and the Inspector-General of Police,” Buhari said.

‘‘What happened here in Jos is very bad. The question of leadership, from your household to whatever you are, is justice. The bottom line is justice.

‘‘That is why wherever I go, I will always appeal to the leadership of the communities, the law enforcement agencies to always have control of their constituencies.

‘‘Whatever is being given to the media, we have to be very responsible about it.

‘‘Take for instance the situation in Benue. The Benue subsistence farmer knows that the Nigerian cattle herder that he knows doesn’t carry nothing more than a stick, occasionally sometimes something to cut grass to feed his cattle.

‘‘But the present herder, I am told, carries AK47 and people are even blaming me for not talking to them because maybe (they say) I look like one of them.

‘‘There is some injustice in these aspersions.”

Buhari, however, said despite the security challenges in the country, Nigerians recognise the “success” recorded by his administration in combating insecurity.

“It is noteworthy that many Nigerians still acknowledge that despite the security challenges, this administration has made notable successes in the security sector,” he said.

Plateau killings: Nigerian man says more humans should be murdered to equate the amount of cows killed

Nigerian man says

A Nigerian man from the Northern part of Nigeria has made a very insensitive comment concerning the killings happening in the North.

As Nigerians mourn the death of scores of innocent people in Northern Nigeria, this insensitive man equated the lives of humans with that of cows.

Identified as Abdurrahman Lawal, he said enough humans haven’t been killed by Fulani herdsmen yet.

He further suggested that more be killed to equate the number of cows lost by Fulani herdsmen.

Read what he wrote below:

Recall that the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders’ Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) had said the raid by suspected herdsmen on three local governments in Plateau State were a retaliation of the loss of cows in recent times.

More than 100 people were killed on Saturday night when suspected herdsmen attacked many villages in Riyom, Barkin Ladi and Jos South local government areas of the state.

Commenting on the tragedy via a statement on Monday, Danladi Ciroma, Chairman, North-Central zone of the cattle breeders’ association, said herdsmen in the state had lost “about 300 cows in the last few weeks”.

“These attacks are retaliatory. As much as I don’t support the killing of human being, the truth must be told that those who carried out the attacks must be on revenge mission,” Ciroma said.

“There have been recent reports of cow rustling and destruction of farms between Berom farmers and Fulani herdsmen. The people carrying out these criminal activities are well-known to the communities but the communities are hiding them.

“Fulani herdsmen have lost about 300 cows in the last few weeks — 94 cows were rustled by armed Berom youth in Fan village, another 36 cows were killed by Berom youth.

“In addition to that, 174 cattle were rustled and the criminals disappeared with them to Mangu [Local Government].

“Since these cows were not found, no one should expect peace in the areas. Even soldiers that went after the criminals to recover the rustled cows were shot by the armed rustlers and eventually escaped with all the cows.

“The government of Governor Lalong has done a lot to restore peace, but the criminal elements hiding among their people are the ones frustrating these peace efforts.”

He urged security agencies to be fair to all parties, saying they should neglect any report presented by the Fulani “because such report can lead to attacks and deaths if not properly handled”.

“Criminals thrive a lot in Berom communities, but when the Fulani, who are always victims of their crime, react with attacks, they blame the government,” he added.

Nigeria vs. Argentina: Turkish referee says he doesn’t know why he didn’t award the Penalty to Nigeria

Turkish referee

Cuneyt Cakin, the Turkish referee who officiated the Nigeria vs. Argentina match has said he doesn’t know why he did not award the Penalty to Nigeria.

According to Super Eagles Captain, John Mikel Obi, the referee admitted that the ball touched the hand of Marcos Rojo in the 82nd minute, but he put up a defense in not awarding the crucial penalty kick.

The penalty, if awarded and scored at a time the match was 1-1, could have wrapped up a second round ticket for the Eagles.

Speaking at the post-match briefing in St Petersburg, Mikel said: “I asked the referee if he thought the ball struck Rojo’s hand and he said ‘yes;. The referee told me that the ball came off Rojo’s head before it hit his hand.”

Mikel added: ”I then asked Cakur why he didn’t award the penalty to Nigeria, he said: ‘I don’t know.’ That was sad because we checked the match video in the dressing room and it was a clear penalty kick.

“When the ball touches your hand in the penalty box, it’s a penalty. No two ways about that. Maybe he didn’t want to give us the second penalty. It is sad we had to exit the competition this way.

Speaking about his future with the National team, Mikel said he would be most delighted to lead the boys going further into the future.

“I’m happy playing with this bunch of players. I expect them to grow into a great side and I think this team would make a good impression in the next four years. They are good boys with bright future,” he said.

“Of course, we did everything we could; we pushed and pushed to get the goal but it was not to be.

“We want to thank all Nigerians for their support; we have to keep going.”

“World Cup is over let’s face our politicians, I sing for last election no mean say I no go talk” — Olamide

Rapper Olamide, while reacting to the Super Eagle’s loss to Argentina last night, tackled the government and politicians saying this year’s election will be different.

The revered rapper said now that Nigeria is out of the World Cup, it is time to face politicians after it was revealed that Nigeria is now leading as the World’s poorest country.

Odion Ighalo’s wife calls Nigerians beggars for criticizing her husband’s performance

Sonia Ighalo, wife of Super Eagles player, Odion Ighalo, has slammed Nigerians who criticized her husband for his poor performance in the Super Eagles game against Argentina which they lost 2-1.

According to her, it is unbelievable to know that Nigerians who love to beg on social media now have the effrontery to slam her husband who lost two clear chances to put Nigeria in front in the game.

She also mockingly reminded them that no one putting on the number 9 shirt for the Super Eagles has ever scored for the country.

Screenshot below:

However, Odion Ighalo, in an interview with TheCable, took responsibility and apologized to the entire nation and teammates after the loss.

He also rued the clear chances he had which he failed to utilize.

“I apologize to Nigeria. I apologize to my team mates,” Ighalo said. “I take responsibility for this game because I had taken those chances I had that would have made it a different ball game now.

But that is football and life has to continue. It’s a sad day for me, the boys and the country because we went out in a bad manner and we deserved more in the game,” he said.

“We had a penalty in the game and another one which the referee did not give.
“I missed a couple of chances that would have finished the game but that’s football because sometimes you win and sometimes to lose.”

“The Worrisome Trend of Sensational Social Media “Journalism” and the Impact On Legitimate Business Concerns: Recent Travails of FCMB, GTBank and First Bank.”

On June 25, 2018 I woke up to yet another social media trend – a news story with the bold and quite salacious headline “How Safe Are Customer Deposits At FCMB?” had taken over the digital airwaves. Between the shares and likes and comments, a storm in a cup had brewed to great proportions in a matter of hours. Yet again, a demonstration that the basic ethics of responsible journalism and ethical reporting have been thrown away in business and, indeed, everyday life.

In writing the article, the author had made detailed reference to alleged cases of fraud involving staff of FCMB and went ahead to imply that perhaps the bank’s depositors funds are unsafe.

It is quite of great concern to see so-called professionals go to town with such alarming headlines, with the full knowledge that most Nigerians will not bother to read the actual details. It is indeed of greater concern that this sort of material was released in the way it was, when by his own admission, the author had received specific information from the bank about its financial performance and ability to remain a growth driven and existentially sustainable institution.

I do not have an account with FCMB, neither am I in any way connected to the bank or its principals. I, however, do have the simple capacity to read between the lines and remove chaff from substance.

In the first place, for FCMB to have increased its shares in Legacy Pension to make it a full-fledged subsidiary as reported in this article, it means the bank is forward-thinking and focused on both diversifying and improving its service offerings and earnings. That’s a bold move, when you consider that the Pensions industry in Nigeria has the potential to be bigger than the banking industry in another decade or so.

But even more interesting is the fact that by his very own article, the author admitted that FCMB’s deposits grew to N689.9billion as at the end of December 2017, an increase of 5%, from N657.6billion in the corresponding year. Do customers increase their deposit in a bank they have fears over or which is on the brink? Is it not only logical that customers are only likely to increase deposits in a bank where they enjoy good service and feel at home? For a fact, I know that the KPMG Banking Industry Customer Satisfaction Survey 2017 placed FCMB in 5th position in the entire Nigerian banking industry in Retail Banking, SME Banking and Wholesale Banking. That’s no mean feat when you take into account the number of operators in the industry.

I think what stumped me the most is the fact that by his own article, the author let us in on key financial metrics of FCMB, including the fact that FCMB reported a gross revenue of N169.9 billion and a profit before tax (PBT) of N11.5billion, while profit after tax (PAT) was N9.4billion.

At face value, it seems to me that the author for reasons best known to him or her was determined to demarket FCMB and portray it in the most negative light possible. I do not dispute the possibility that there were some fraudulent activities – afterall, there is no smoke without fire and that tends to ring through more in Nigeria than elsewhere. However, this is an industry challenge – the Managing Director of the Nigerian Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS) Adebisi Shonubi (who a few weeks ago was nominated a Deputy Governor of Nigeria’s Central Bank) recently shared some startling statistics on fraud in Nigeria’s banking industry, revealing the number of reported fraud cases in Nigerian Banks had steadily risen from 1,461 in 2014 to 10,743 in 2015, 19,531 in 2016 and 25,043 in 2017. It has been argued that frauds in the Banks are not alien. In the United States of America it has been said, with compromised credit cards and data breaches often in the news in the past couple of years, fraud is top of mind with many people.

This deliberate attempt to demarket FCMB for reasons best known to the author also brings to mind the most recent attack on GTBank over the Innoson case.

It is not to be forgotten how earlier this month, social media went agog with news that a court had directed GTBank to pay 12 billion naira to Innoson Group, one of its clients with whom it has had a long-standing court battle. The misleading reports on social media had extremely sensational headlines such as “Court Orders GTBank To Pay 14bn To Innoson”; “GTBank Must Pay Innoson 14Bn Within 14 Days”; “GTBank In Trouble As Court Orders Payment of 14bn to Innoson”.

It was such a terrible jamboree on social media that there were certain broadcasts sent across Whatsapp and other social media asking people to withdraw their funds from GTBank immediately, on the premise that the bank would go bankrupt after payment of N14bn to Innoson. Of course, Nigerians will not pause to ask whether paying N14bn in settlement can actually cripple a bank that is widely considered Nigeria’s biggest bank brand and clearly, one of the most solid financial behemoths within the African continent. Nobody stops to ponder. The fact that this latest melee was a result of seemingly deliberate attempts to smear the GTBank brand raises more suspicion about the recent publication on the same online platforms questioning the safety of depositors funds with FCMB.

The GTBank vs Innoson saga has so terribly deteriorated on the account of sensational journalism and reportage, that it has taken an ugly ethnic dimension amongst the unlearned. Thus, on various online communities and platforms in Nigeria, you see Nigerians taking sides on the basis of GTBank being a “Yoruba company” and Innoson being an “Igbo company”. What a sad reality for a nation!

First Bank of Nigeria also witnessed the harsh and merciless bite of sensational reporting when recently there was commotion over the contempt judgement against the Bank and some of its key officials in the case Chief Isaac Osaro Agbara & 9 Ors. v. Shell Petroleum Development Ltd, Shell International Petroleum Ltd and Shell International Exploration and Production BV. Before fact could be removed from fiction, so many broadcasts and “breaking news” articles had surfaced online, all leading with headlines that were designed to damage and not just state the facts.

To make progress as a country and support businesses to thrive, this approach must be arrested. Must we sensationalize everything just so we can earn readership and our 5 minutes of fame, to the detriment of businesses and companies that provide livelihood for thousands of families across Nigeria? I think not.

Even where we need to address real matters arising, surely, the reporting can be more facts-based and less about blackmail and demarketing. As my Yoruba friends have a saying in their language “Even if they sent you on the errand as a slave, deliver the message as a free born”. Crying wolf falsely too many times has serious downsides. Social media credibility is extremely important for the dissemination of relevant, topical, up to date and authentic information. Using it constantly as a vehicle to settle scores, blackmail and seek for attention will ultimately harm the reputation of not only the charlatans in that field but also the real professionals. The fake news toga will be cast on all. That will be a big shame. Freedom presupposes responsibility. Freedom devoid of responsibility is excessive liberty.

These institutions need protection and we really need to stop portraying ourselves to the rest of the world as people always thinking of fraud and sleight of hand strategies to make ill-gotten wealth. There are many honest and hardworking people all over Nigeria. We deserve better than these constant sensational but fake so called ‘investigative’ write ups.

Three Nigerians receive

On Tuesday night, Queen Elizabeth presented the ‘Queen’s Young Leaders’ awards to three Nigerians, Hauwa Ojeifo, Isaac Ezirim and Kennedy Ekezie-Joseph at a special ceremony at Buckingham Palace, London.

The Queen’s Young Leaders Awards programme, now in its fourth and final year, celebrates the achievements of some of the most exciting young change-makers from across the Commonwealth.

The Queen was joined at the Award ceremony by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in recognizing their success.

This year’s cohort from 38 Commonwealth countries are finding solutions to global issues such as climate change, food scarcity, gender-based violence, mental health, and  access to education.

The Duke of Sussex, who was recently named a Commonwealth Youth Ambassador said: “In this rapidly changing world, it is heartening to meet so many inspiring young people gathered here today, who have already stepped up as leaders and improved the lives of so many people across the Commonwealth.

Isaac received his Award for the work he is doing to teach coding to teenagers in low-income areas, founding Teens Can Code which is currently training 200 teenagers how to build web and mobile applications using the same tools that are used by professionals in the tech industry.

Hauwa received her award for the work she is doing to tackle the stigma around mental health, running a women’s support group called She Writes Women, which focuses on mental health support and outreach among some of the most vulnerable people in the community.

Kennedy received his Award for the work he is doing to promote women’s rights in Nigeria, founding the Calabar Youth Council for Women’s Rights (CYCWR), which supports the rights of women in the areas of female genital mutilation (FGM), domestic abuse, forced child marriage and access to education for girls.

As a Queen’s Young Leader, Hauwa, Isaac and Kennedy have gained access to bespoke mentoring and training through the University of Cambridge’s Institute of Continuing Education, designed to develop their leadership skills further and ensure they are best placed to lead the way in the future to tackle some of the world’s most pressing issues.

The now complete Queen’s Young Leaders network forms a unique, dedicated and powerful group of young people from 53 Commonwealth countries who will connect, collaborate and change lives together for years to come. To further support them in their future endeavours, a £200,000 Legacy Fund has been created. It will be open to all 240 Queen’s Young Leaders and 282 highly commended runners-up to apply for grants that will help elevate their work and enable them to work together to tackle some of the most pressing issues facing the Commonwealth.

Piers Morgan blasts Nigerian in Pidgin English over Nigeria’s match with Argentina

Piers Morgan blasts Nigerian

British Media Personality, Piers Morgan insulted a Nigerian in Nigerian Pidgin English as they argued about the match between Nigeria and Argentina.

During the World Cup game, Piers didn’t agree with the VAR when the machine gave Nigeria a penalty kick after Leon Balogun was fouled.

Pierce said the VAR had failed and there was no way that was a penalty because it was the Nigerian player who leaned in and dived.

Piers tweeted: “VAR fails again. No way was that a penalty.. leaned in & dived.”

But a Nigerian felt he was being biased and called him out.

Emmanuel Babalola tweeted back at Piers: “If it is England or Argentina ?? the VAR is correct right? But now it’s Nigeria ?? the VAR has failed. You are such a racist!”

And Piers immediately went ghetto on him, writing: “Emmanuel, you dey craze.”

Ghanaian actor cries out, says no actress wants to kiss him in movies

Ghanaian actor cries

Ghanaian actor, Yaw Adu has questioned why actresses always refuse to kiss him even when Directors tell them to do so in movies.

He revealed in a recent interview that when he had the opportunity to kiss an actress in a movie, she turned him down when the scene got to that part.

“The only actress I have kissed wasn’t a star but I later had an opportunity to kiss Vivian Jill in a movie, which she needed a child and I had to sleep with her for her to conceive but she later turned me down and dodged me when I tried kissing her.

“I did not ask her why she dodged me because I didn’t believe in myself either.

“Perhaps they think since I have big eyes, I might knock them with it which scares them away,” he said.

Sumsun further added that Ghallywood actresses also discriminate against those of them from Kumasi when it comes to kissing.

“I watched a movie, Liwin was directed to kiss Jackie Appiah but she denied him. Assuming it was Majid, she would have kissed him passionately with no qualms.”
