Ahmed Musa vows to score against Argentina today

Ahmed Musa vows

Super Eagles hero, Ahmed Musa is basking in confidence to score again for Nigeria ahead of tonight’s crunch clash against Argentina at the ongoing World Cup in Russia.

Super Eagles star, Ahmed Musa became ‘Lionel Musa’ on social media in Argentina last Friday after his two goals against Iceland which not only put Nigerians back on course for a last 16 place, but also restored the World Cup hopes of the South Americans, Reuters reports.

Musa has warned his new-found hero status in Argentina is likely to end abruptly on Tuesday night when the two countries meet in a decisive Group D game in St. Petersburg.

“Whenever I play against Argentina, or whenever (Lionel) Messi is playing against me, I score.

“Four years ago, in Brazil when Messi was playing against me, I scored two goals,” said Musa, referring to the 3-2 win for Argentina over Nigeria in a group game in Porto Alegre where Messi also netted twice.

“When I transferred to Leicester City and we played against Barcelona and Messi was in the pitch too, I scored another two goals, so I think in the next game anything can happen. Possibly, I’m going to score another two goals.”

Musa’s brace for Leicester came in a pre-season friendly in Stockholm shortly after he had signed for the then English champions from CSKA Moscow in 2016.

The 25-year-old is now the first Nigerian to score at different World Cups and with four goals the country’s all-time record scorer in the finals.

“I’m very good at breaking records and I’m happy now to be the top scorer at the World Cup for Nigeria. It’s not easy but I have to thank my coach for his support because if he didn’t believe in me he wouldn’t put me in the pitch.”

Musa was restored to the line-up after Nigeria’s opening Group D loss to Croatia and repaid the faith with two fine individual strikes.

It ensured Nigeria, with three points, went second in Group D, behind Croatia who have already qualified after successive victories, but ahead of Argentina and Iceland, both on one.

Nigeria’s success also ensured a renewed window of opportunity for Argentina, who were hammered 3-0 by Croatia in Nizhny Novgorod on Thursday, but now have a realistic chance to qualify if they beat the Africans on Tuesday.

“We know the importance of the last game, it’s do-or-die,” added Musa. “We have to win, we can’t afford to lose. By the 95th minute we will know who carries the day and, by the grace of God, we are going to work very hard.”

Here is what he wrote below:

I know we can’t wait for the game ….. but pls Nigerians, let us use this opportunity to tell our leaders that they have failed us ? … they don’t value human beings anymore? and pls don’t be distracted, if by the grace of God Nigeria wins …. pls congratulate the players and pour out your mind and speak out at the same time …. it’s about time we let the whole world know that, as we celebrate we are also mourning ? God help us all ?

Meanwhile, Argentina fans who are in Russia to support their nation at the ongoing world cup have described Nigerian forward, Ahmed Musa as a big threat to their continuous stay at the mundial.

Some of the Argentines in separate interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday in Moscow, the Russia capital, said the Super Eagles were in better state of mind going into the match.

To Santiago Lautaro, the Super Eagles are more of a team than the Argentines.

“We only have only individual talents but not a team.

“Ahmed Musa is as dangerous as Lionel Messi but you know he has done better than the Barcelona star in Russia 2018,” Lautaro said.

Matias Franco told NAN that Musa had good statistics against his country but wished the CSKA Moskva player would not have a good day when the Super Eagles filed out against them.

“Our performance has not been good in this competition but it is not over yet.

“I hope we can have a better performance against Nigeria on Tuesday because it will be sad to leave the World Cup now.

“Our defenders must be weary of Musa’s threat, he is a good player and you remember he scored two goals against us the last time we met,” Franco said.

Augustin Nicolas, believes that his country will beat Nigeria in the last group game on Tuesday in St. Petersburg because they are the better side.

Nicolas boasted that the Argentines would get themselves better in the game against Nigeria even though he admitted that the Super Eagles are a better side.

Woman claims her dead child was raised to life by “God of Bishop Oyedepo” (Photos/Video)

A woman identified as Mrs. Grace Williams shared her testimony yesterday, at Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel) branch in Jimeta, Adamawa State.

Read the testimony as shared on the official Facebook page of LFC Yola:

Dead Baby Bounced Back to Life
My daughter returned from school on Thursday 21st June, 2018 safe and sound with no traces of ailment whatsoever. After taking her lunch she decided to sleep, but after long hours of sleep I went to check on her and discovered that she was lifeless.

I quickly raised alarm but all efforts were to no avail. Her body became stiff and cold. All hope was lost. I quickly rushed the baby to the church amidst crying and wailing with the slogan “Operation 615 is blessing and not sorrow”.

The Pastor collected the baby from me and laid her on the altar praying. While the prayer was going on the Resident Pastor kept saying “Jesus the God of my father Bishop Oyedepo do it again”. Miraculously, I suddenly saw my baby moving her body and crying.”

I have come to return all the glory to the God of my father Bishop Oyedepo.

Nigerian celebrities react to killings in Plateau state

Plateau state killings

Nigerian celebrities have come out to condemn the attacks in Plateau state which left about 86 people killed and several others injured.

The Plateau State Police Command had earlier confirmed the killing of 86 persons in the attacks on Razat, Ruku, Nyarr, Kura and Gana-Ropp villages of Gashish District in Barkin Ladi Local Government.

This followed claims by the Chairman, North Central zone of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) Danladi Ciroma, that the killing of the 86 persons was in retaliation to the killing of over 300 cows in the last few weeks by the villagers.

However, reacting on social media, some of the celebrities said the inability of the security agents to stop the incessant killings in different parts of Nigeria could be a deliberate act for political reasons.

Here are some comments:

@official2baba, “For how long shall this continue? This has become more than an emergency situation. I weep, I weak, I tire. Knowing that the solution is very simple but politics will not allow. How heartless?”

@Ramsey Nouah, ”This is sad and honestly becoming unbearable. How long shall we continue?. It’s beginning to look like a deliberate act by our security to neglect this issue for political reasons. Human sacrifices for political goals???.. What has the world become???..the height of dehumanization. This is heart wrenching.”

@Adesua Etomi, lamenting about the value for cows rather than human lives took to her Instagram, saying “When Cattle have more value than human lives. How did we get here?”

“Dear Nigerian Government, we don’t want any more condolence messages. Do something, lives are still being lost. When you’ve done something, release a statement to let us know what you have done and how you were successful.

“Saying people should boycott cow meat will not solve anything. The problem is bigger than cows.”

@TiwaSavage, “My God! What is really happening to Nigeria? Pray for Plateau. No more killings. We just want peace.”

@Frank Donga “Too much blood, too much pain, too much poverty. God please heal Nigeria with your love. Fix us by your power.

“We cannot sit down and expect things to change, we need reforms in politics, judiciary, police and military.

”This country needs help, God has given us all we need already, let’s stop sleeping.”

@Frank Edwards, “It is well with Plateau state and its people. Let there be peace again in Jesus name, the type money cannot buy.”

@TimiDakolo wrote, ”If our government will not help to stop these senseless killing, I think as citizens we should begin to plead with countries to come to our aid. And just because it is happening Plateau, Borno, or Adamawa State doesn’t mean we are safe.

”We do not feel safe at all. Let’s tag foreign government and agency to come to our aid. We really need help.”

According to her, she had to scold the men around the scene before volunteering to take the victims to the hospital in her car. Unfortunately one of the men died on the way to the hospital.

She wrote:

Tonight I witnessed how incompetent even men that claims to be men are. I was driving to my destination in agidingbi when I noticed these marwa keke poeple parked recklessly blocking both ways of traffic that I had to squeeze my car through only to come down and see 2 men helpless on the floor. Georgina Onuoha slams

Nollywood Actress, Georgina Onuoha who is U.S. based has slammed Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo.

He had said there will be resettlement and rehabilitation for farmers to go back to their farmlands in Plateau.

Osinbajo on Monday, visited Plateau following attacks that left scores of people dead.

Read her post below:

“I can not believe that this man is a pastor and now the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Prof Osinbajo @profosinbajo , you can not serve God and Man at the same time. If the root cause of these senseless killings are not addressed it will keep repeating itself. It’s been blood bathe since this your regime because we are no longer in a democratic nation so I won’t call it administration. Resettlement and rehabilitation of these farmers is not going to stop these hoodlums from invading again. What happened to using the full force of the Nigerian arm forces to fight against these killers. If the non violent protesters of the Biafra agitators are met with killings and beatings by the Nigerian Army and armed forces ordered by your regime, what happened to using that same forces in tackling this menace ravaging our nation. It is time you begin to speak truth to power. Enough is a Enough. Extending your condolences will not change anything. Protect Nigerians with your military and save them from these herdsmen killing them.
You pastors in Nigeria have bastardized religion in Nigeria that even the people have become docile to fake miracles and prayers.
Fellow Nigerians, go and get your PVC, fasting and prayer points will not count. Only your votes will count. God will not do for man what he has given Man the ability to do for himself. Your vote is your power. They’ve used Cambridge Analytical to sow religious tensions and hate amongst us, so that their divide and conquer strategy will work. Don’t allow it this time around. Go and get your PVC. Enough is Enough. Our hearts are with the Plateau State “

“For integrity and honesty, I won’t go to jail ” – Buhari

President Muhammmadu Buhari on Monday appealed to the integrity of his ministers who, according to him, are in charge.

At the Presidential Villa in Abuja while hosting a delegation of the Supreme Council for Sharia in Nigeria, the President said:

“You cannot accuse me of stealing,” he added, “I have appointed ministers and they are in charge. I appeal to their integrity. When they come here (Federal Executive Council Chambers), we ensure they follow the due process. If I owned an oil well, I would have gone to jail.”

President Buhari said he had no regrets being a person of honesty and integrity.

He said: “I am satisfied with what I am. I am happy I have kept myself and people close to me from benefiting from government contracts,”

He said he did not award contracts and did not care about who got them so long as they did a good job at a cost that is justifiable to the nation.

“I have been in many places including Ministry of Petroleum. I would have gone to jail if I had taken an oil well. For integrity and honesty, I have no regrets. By this, I have contributed to my social safety. I won’t go to jail.”

Sex dolls can now refuse sex if she is disrespected or bored

sex dolls

New upgrade by Dr. Sergi Santos, the creator of Samantha the sex dolls, shows that she can turn down sex if she’s not in the mood or if she feels disrespected.

Santos upgraded the robot at the request of his wife , so it can now shut down if it feels like it’ s being treated inappropriately, reports Independent UK.

The upgrade meant the doll can now enter what is called ‘dummy mode’.

The mode was demonstrated at the Life Science Centre in Newcastle, and it is activated if sensors under skin detect a partner is aggressive or if Samantha is bored by its partner’ s advances .

She even has the ability to say “ No ” if she wants to .

The robot has motorised hands , hips and face , and can whisper endearments if properly seduced . She also has ‘ family ’ , ‘ romantic ’ and ‘ sex ’ modes , as well as an ‘ extra naughty ’ level.

While governors danced at Eagle Square, lives were being wasted – Shehu Sani

governors danced

Senator Shehu Sani has reacted to the massacre perpetrated by Fulani herdsmen in Plateau state which saw the loss of over 86 lives and 50 houses.

The massacre took place in Razat, Ruku, Nyarr, Kura and Gana-Ropp villages of Gashish District in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of the state.

Senator Shehu Sani who represents Kaduna Central Senatorial District pointed out how the political class were busy dancing and singing at the Eagles Square while innocent lives were being slaughtered in Plateau state.

“While governors danced and sang at Eagle Square, the lives of the governed were being wasted.

“In Nigeria today, the life of the poor is cheaper than peanuts and Gala. We have become a nation in perpetual mourning and funeral service.

“Enough blood has been spilled in Nigeria to touch the conscience of people in power, if at all humanity matters.

“Until the ruling political elite raise the value of the lives of the underprivileged to equal that of the powerful and privileged, the systemic wastage of the lives of the poor will remain unabated.

“The nation has lost its sense of outrage and we are tragically spreading red carpets and beating the drums of praises to leaders who woefully failed in their responsibilities,” the lawmaker said.

Following the tragic death of D’banj’s one year old son, fans of Nigerian singer, Timaya, have warned him concerning his own swimming pool.

Meanwhile, details have emerged on how Daniel Oyebanjo aka Daniel D Third, son of Nigerian singer D’banj died after he drowned in a swimming pool at the family’s residence in Ikoyi. A source close to the family stated that the kid died while his father was away in Los Angeles to witness the 2018 BET Awards which saw Davido emerge Best International Act.

The source also revealed that the kid was playing with a couple of family friends who paid them a visit at their residence on Sunday. When they got carried away, the little boy wandered off to the backyard where he fell into the pool and drowned.

The boy’s body was later found inside the swimming pool by his mother who thought she left him with grown kids believing they were capable of taking care of him.

He was immediately rushed to the hospital in an unconscious state where he was certified dead. The body of the late infant has been transferred to the mortuary.

Desperate Politicians behind killings in Plateau – President Buhari

desperate politicians

President Buhari has reacted to the mass killings carried out by herdsmen in Plateau state.

In a statement by Garba Shehu, his senior special assistant on Media and Publicity, Buhari said he is aware that other than geographical factors, politicians are taking advantage of the situation.

“We know that a number of geographical and economic factors are contributing to the longstanding herdsmen/farmers clashes. But we also know that politicians are taking advantage of the situation. This is incredibly unfortunate,” Buhari said.

“Nigerians affected by the herdsmen/ farmer clashes must always allow the due process of the law to take its course rather than taking matters into their own hands.”

The statement added that according to information available to the presidency, about 100 cattle had been rustled by a community in Plateau while some herdsmen were killed in the process.

The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders’ Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) described the attacks as an act of retaliation.

The association said 300 cows belonging to herdsmen were rustled, adding that no one should expect peace since the cattle were not found.
