Sergei Mavrodi

Sergei Mavrodi Founder of the most popular Russian MMM Ponzi scheme was buried in a closed coffin at the Troekurovskoe cemetery in Moscow.

Mavrodi, 62, died in a Moscow hospital on March 26. The funeral ceremony was held in closed mode on March 31. At the funeral, only relatives and friends of the entrepreneur arrived, REN TV reports. The territory of the cemetery was cordoned off and guarded, the channel states.

Recall that founder of MMM Sergei Mavrodi died in a Moscow hospital at the age of 62. He collapsed at the stop of public transport near the Savelovsky station. An ambulance was called by a passer-by after he complained of weakness and pain in the heart. Mavrodi was hospitalized, but doctors lost him.

Earlier it was reported that the body of Sergei Mavrodi was listed as “unclaimed”, as he had no documents. If his identity was not confirmed by relatives and friends, the founder of MMM would be buried in the common grave. However, the body of Mavrodi was taken by his ex-wife.

According to Mavrodi’s lawyer Alexander Molokhov, an initiative group of former MMM participants chipped in to bury him. The brother of Mavrodi, with whom he had bad relations, forbade to bury him in a family graveyard in the Khovanskoe cemetery, where his father and mother were buried.

Sergei Mavrodi is the founder of the MMM joint-stock company, which is considered the classical and largest Ponzi scheme in the history of modern Russia.

According to various estimates, from 2 to 10 million people were affected by MMM’s activities, loosing up to 3 billion rubles ($52.3m).

In 2003, he was convicted of fraud in Russia. The court recognized 10.454 people as victims of the MMM case. After the release, Mavrodi organized new pyramids, but they did not have such huge consequences.

“So I was staying away from Teddy and he was making it known that I was being too reserved – It’s because of your babe [Bambam].

“I could flow with you, you could be my G, but I’m just respectful to your babe and not to start some drama in the house.

Satanic witchcraft has taken over Nigeria — MFM’s Olukoya

General Overseer MFM, Dr. Daniel Olukoya, has revealed that the greatest conflict Nigerians are facing at the moment is war against satanic witchcraft.

He stated this at the church’s monthly “Power Must Change Hands” conference held at the Prayer City, Ogun State, on Saturday.

According to him, “Anywhere you see any bloodshed or massive death of people it is not terrorism but the work of satanic witchcraft. An evil force is the one behind all those bloodshed.

General Overseer

“Do you expect a sane human being to just slaughter another human being who is still alive when he will even think twice when killing a hen or cow?

“Nigerians need to wake up from their slumber as there is a massive resurgence of witchcraft all over the world. Nigeria is in the era of the great wrath where so many mysterious things have occurred; I mean unexplainable sexual perversion, unavoidable terrorism, emergence of kidnappers who are hungry for blood and terrible accidents.

“I urge all Nigerians to watch and pray and be vigilant as we are in the end time. So many things are happening.”

HipHop Singer

Meanwhile, Cardi has revealed why she stayed with Offset even after he cheated.

Cardi B says she is not without sin, and it is for this reason she continues to stay with her fiance, Offset.

Recall that the Migos rapper’s cheating scandal with a South African model broke the internet weeks, stirring major conversation. The video made rounds on the internet for days, bringing Cardi a lot of embarrassment, and fans urged her to call off their relationship. But she stayed.

Now, in new interview with Cosmopolitan, she is explaining why she chose not to leave Offset.

This is my life…I’m going to take my time, and I’m going to decide on my decision.”However, she agreed that what Offset did was not right. “It’s not right, what he f–king did—but people don’t know what I did, ’cause I ain’t no angel.””Everybody got different beliefs and different religions and were raised differently, yet you also supposed to be careful you don’t offend somebody. Everybody gets bothered about everything. Everybody got a f–king opinion about you,” she told the magazine. “If I change myself, then I’m going to lose myself, and I won’t be who makes me happy.”

Davido’s babymama Sophia Momodu flaunts her banging body (photos)

Davido babymama Sophia Momodu, the delectable mother of Davido’s first Child, is enjoying life, and she lives it to the fullest..

She’s currently in Miami, USA, and the stunner put her banging bod on display.

She rocked a white crop top with matching tights and a denim jacket in the first photo, and rocked an all white Calvin Klein underwear underneath a sheer dress in the second photo.

Meanwhile, her uncle, Dele Momodu has said beefing Davido was his biggest battle ever.

The magazine publisher made this comment in new chat shared by Limelite TV, and this comes weeks after he made peace with the singer at the 10th edition of ‘Ovation Red Carol’.

“Fighting with David was my biggest battle ever. It was bigger than fighting Abacha because of the blistering popularity of David,” said the Ovation Magazine boss, adding, “He is an extremely popular guy and it was very unfortunate.”

Recall that the family feud began after his cousin Sophie Momodu, who is the mother of the singer’s daughter Imade, got into a custody battle with the singer’s family. The magazine publisher waded in, and for weeks both families splayed their dirty linen on social media.

“When it happened, I tried my best to avoid a collision with the family because I am very close to the family especially because of Senator Ademola Adeleke. So when the baby issue came, I didn’t know about it, if Sophie didn’t tell me she was pregnant, I wouldn’t have known, she was able to hide it perfectly from everyone.”

Two years later, they made peace and now Dele Momodu breathes easy and can talk about it, finally.

My mother checked my virginity every 3 months till I got married — Tope Alabi

Tope Alabi

Tope Alabi, popular Gospel singer speaks with TOFARATI IGE about her childhood, career, marriage, motherhood and other issues

You recently released an album, Yes and Amen. What is its thrust?

The album is full of wholesome praise to God; there are no side attractions. God told me about three years ago that I should make an album that would contain only praise and worship. There are 11 tracks in all. I worked on the album for about two years. God usually gives me the titles for my albums, and also the time to release them.

You often share moral lessons in your songs. How did your upbringing influence that part of you?

Whenever God tells me to record an album, He always tells me how to go about it. A lot of times, He often uses lessons from my childhood to explain what I should do. I was the only girl in the house and I was raised strictly. My mother was a disciplinarian and she brooked no nonsense. There was no room for me to go astray.

Did your mother support your music career?

Yes, she did because she was also a singer. She always sang around the house. She believed that one didn’t have to be immoral simply because she is a singer. Every other member of my family was not pleased with my music career but my mother never took offence. She taught me that a female shouldn’t be too close to men. For example, I was never bathed at the same time with my male siblings. My mother used to check if my virginity was intact every three months interval before I got married; especially whenever I returned from movie locations. When I newly got married to my husband, we went to the National Theatre in Lagos to watch a movie and actors like Yinka Quadri, Ebun Oloyede, among others were there. When they saw my husband, they congratulated him and told him that he had chosen a good and exemplary wife. That made my husband quite happy. My mum was very strict and she never spared the rod. She also showed me a lot of motherly love.

What are some of the lessons your mother taught you that have endured till date?

My mum always taught me to be respectful. She mandated me to always kneel when greeting elderly people and I still do that till date, even for people I am older than.

How often do you get to spend time with your children?

I thank God because He is the one that has raised the children for me. I am very grateful that my children are godly. Even when guys approach my daughter, she tells me about it because she knows that even if she doesn’t tell me, God would reveal it to me. Whenever we are together, I tell them about God. These days, kids have access to information from a lot of places. If God is not involved, they may not turn out well. I have learnt that it is very good to be friendly with your kids so that they can relate well with you. I play a lot with my kids. If children are not shown love in the home, they would seek for it outside.

Tope Alabi and Her Husband

What other childhood ambitions did you have?

I wanted to become a fashion designer. I studied Mass Communication; I also thought that I would end up as a broadcaster or a correspondent. However, I have always loved acting and I joined a theatre group when I was in secondary school. My dream then was to become a star actress.

How did you start recording soundtracks for movies?

I started my entertainment career as an actress and back then, they didn’t do personalised soundtracks for movies. One day, one of my colleagues, Adio Majesta, said I should be able to compose songs for movies. He told me the title of the movie and that was how I started making soundtracks for movies. He believed I could do it because I always sang whenever we were on location and sometimes, I used the incident happening at that particular time to compose songs.

Would you still love to be a movie star?

I still love to act but right now, there is no time for that. I was recently approached to act in a Christian movie but I haven’t been able to go on set because of my busy schedule.

How would you describe your experience as an actress?

I joined the group, Jesters International, in 1983, and I started acting with Papilolo and Aderupoko. There were times that I would be on location for several weeks, yet I wouldn’t be given any role. I used to feel frustrated but I didn’t know that God had another plan for me. Now, I have more fulfillment as a singer. I have the opportunity to minister to people and break yokes. I don’t take all that I am for granted.

When was your breakthrough moment in your career?

I became very popular when I released the album, Ore ti o Common. I didn’t think that people would like the song because it was the ‘cover’ of a makossa hit. The original song didn’t have any moral message but I decided to change it to a gospel song. People really loved and accepted the song. Meanwhile, I had released two albums, Ikoko Dudu and Baba iwo la k’epe, before then but they weren’t successful.

How have you been able to manage your marriage and career so that none suffers?

I have been trying my best and God has been helping me. I work with my husband; so, we are often together. My children have also been wonderful. I always teach them the word of God and they even know how to pray better than me now. My children also critique my ministrations and I learn from them.

Are any of your children following your footsteps in music?

Yes. My first daughter, Ayomikun, is currently studying music in the university. She often tells me a lot of things about the rudiments and intricacies of music. I actually wanted her to study medicine but she chose music. She writes good lyrics and I respect her for that.

Aren’t you disappointed that she chose music over medicine?

I am happy with her choice. I had told God that the children should become whatever He wants them to become; and not just my wish.

You recently built a house in Iju, Lagos. Why didn’t you go to a highbrow area like Lekki?

I believe that God is everywhere. I have always lived in this area and I am comfortable with it. This place where I live is very peaceful and I am sure that if the people in Lekki get to know about it, they would want to move here.

Some people regard gospel singing as a calling. How do you draw the line when charging clients?

Some people had been doing this job before we started. Most churches know that they have to give honourarium. Till date, there are some places we go to minister and do not charge a dime; they would give us whatever they like. However, in some places, they could take us for granted if we don’t tell them what they are required to pay. For about 15 years in my ministry, I didn’t charge anybody. I recently started to do that because I realised that people were taking us for a ride. There was a particular church we went to minister and at the end of the programme, they gave us N300, and the place wasn’t even in Lagos. How am I supposed to share that with my band? There have been lots of experiences like that. This is the only job that I do and I have several responsibilities to cater to.

Why did you decide to start marketing your albums yourselves?

Marketers usually told us that they sold low figures and it was often difficult to get money from them. That was why we decided to set up a structure to sell our albums ourselves. We usually see the CDs everywhere; yet, the marketers would tell us that people are not buying. So far, the experience of selling the albums ourselves has been great.

How would you describe the experience of working with your husband?

I enjoy it. Gentle people (like my husband) are conservative and reserved. I like the way he is because we have opposite characters. I spend and shop a lot but he is someone who believes in saving money. At every point, he knows what he is doing. Gentle people may be stubborn but it usually helps us to achieve certain things. My husband motivates me a lot. Even the people that work with him in the office love him very much. He might be stubborn, but he is not a troublesome person. He is a very lenient person but whenever he is tired of you, nobody can convince him otherwise.

How do you make sure that misunderstandings with your husband at work don’t go home with you?

We often take some of them home. At times, we have misunderstandings on stage. He usually frowns at me whenever I don’t get something right on stage, and sometimes, he communicates with me using the piano. He also doesn’t like it when I talk too much on stage. He often tells me to greet people briefly and go straight to my song delivery. In cases like that, I always apologise first because I like saying sorry.

How do you like to dress?

I like to look good. You shouldn’t say that because you are a Christian, you wouldn’t look good; things have to be balanced. I like to wear good outfits, and they don’t have to be so expensive. My father was a tailor and I know how to design clothes. Sometimes, I sketch the attire I want and give it to the tailor to make it.

How do you unwind?

Sometimes, my husband and I travel to be alone together for some days. During that time, I would sleep well and go for massages. I also love to watch movies and play table tennis.

How Alizee was killed by her Danish Husband — Sister Reveals

Alizee Danish Husband

Alizee Danish Husband

Details have emerged how a Danish citizen, Peter Nielsen allegedly killed his Nigerian wife, Zainab Ali-Nielsen, popularly known as Alizee and her 4-year-old daughter, Petra in Lagos.

According to the late singer’s sister, younger sister, Madaki Gift in an interview with NewsGuru, Gift attested that she heard the victim screaming for help before she was killed.

She said, ‘My name is Madaki Gift I am Zainab’s sister, the late Zainab who died. It just happened over night when she finished preparing the food for her husband.

“The housemaid went to her room and I was the last person to leave the kitchen. So after a while , there was a fight between both of them and she was just shouting “Help Help!!

“I woke my junior sister up asking her if she heard any noise, later I saw the man hitting her head on the floor.

“I tried to help but he locked everywhere, there was no way for me to run and call people to come and help.

“This was around 4am In the morning, by the time we got there later in the morning she was dead.”

Following the arrest of Peter, the bodies of Alizee and her daughter have been deposited at a mortuary. The Kogi-born singer was reportedly signed to an Asian record label, Petra Entertainment in 2017.

It was learnt that the record deal package included a brand new Ford explorer, a house in Banana Island and international distribution with affiliates of her record company in Asia.

Meanwhile, the late singer’s record label has issued a statement urging the Nigerian Immigration Service to be on the alert.

The statement partly read, “Petra Entertainment Limited has received with shock news of the sudden demise of our artist Nielsen Zainab Joy (Aged 29) and her daughter Nielsen Petra (Aged 4) at their Banana Island, Lagos home on the 5th of April 2018.

“The late Nielsen Zainab Joy (also known as Alizee) was a Nigerian citizen married to Nielsen Peter Schau a Danish citizen resident in Nigeria.”

Alizee Danish Husband

“While we exercise restraint in making public comments on the circumstances surrounding the demise of Alizee and her daughter, – in order not to prejudices on-going police investigations – it has become important to correct some misinformation presently circulating in the media space.

“We call all law enforcement agencies to speedily unravel the circumstances surrounding the demise of these vibrant Nigerians and bring all complicit persons and/or entities to justice.

“In the light of reports suggesting that Alizee’s husband may be under police investigation in connection with these painful deaths, we particularly call on the Nigerian immigration Services to remain vigilant at this time and urge the cooperation of all foreign missions in the country.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the relatives of the late Zainab and Petra.”

Before her death, the singer had been scheduled for the ‘Kingmaker Concert,’ a musical event to be headlined by Alterplate Music Company artiste, Harrysong.

A native of Kogi State, Nigeria, she was set to promote her January 2018-released single, ‘Alhaji Musa’, before the alleged murder.

Man kills his only child to please his second wife

Thompson Agena

47-year-old Thompson Agena from Nasarawa State, has been arrested for the murder of his six year old daughter and only child, Mercy.

According to Sun newspaper, Thompson killed his own child on the request of his lover whom he wanted to marry as a second wife.

The suspect who is a carpenter, had gotten married to his first wife, Cecilia in 2005 with whom he had their first child, Mercy in 2011. They waited for many years before Cecilia conceived for the second child in 2015. Sadly, Cecilia died during child birth in April 2016. She bled to death after giving birth to a baby boy.

”I got one of my younger sisters to help her at home when she returns back, and I painted the house in bright colours. I did all I could to make sure that it was comfortable for my wife and our new baby. At the hospital, Cecilia had a prolonged labour, finally giving birth to a 4.6kg baby boy, but she continued bleeding, suffering a postpartum hemorrhage, and at 1:23 am, had died of blood loss” Thompson said

A few days after she passed on, the little boy also died. A devasted Thompson buried the little boy in his village and continued with his life, taking care of their daughter Cecilia.

A year after his wife’s death, Thompson enrolled for a part-time diploma programme at the Nasarawa State Polytechnic where he met Joy Orkuma, a native of Guma Local Government Area, Benue State. They fell in love, and soon after, she became pregnant for him. When he asked her to marry him, Joy said the only condition would be if he eliminates his daughter, Cecilia. Joy accused Mercy of being a witch and that she might kill her baby after she gives birth. Joy told Thompson that Cecilia usually appears to her in her dream whenever she sleeps over at his house.

Thompson carried out the dastard act on February 22nd.

While she was sleeping, Thompson carried his six year old daughter and dumped her in a well. His dastard act was discovered by one of their neighbors.

Upon his arrest, Thompson said he regrets doing Joy’s bidding. He attributed his heinous action to an overpowering love for Joy and the fear of losing her and the pregnancy she had for him.

When contact, Joy who is currently on the run, sounded unrepentant. She said she only told Thompson to take his daughter away since she cannot live in the same house with her. According to her, what Thompson did was the best.

“I told him that if I must marry him, Mercy will have to leave,” she asserted, “[because] she always appear in my dreams each time I pass a night in her father’s house. So when I became pregnant for him, I told him that I can’t deliver a baby in the house for Mercy to kill.” she said

In the meantime, one of Thompson’s brothers, David Agena, said his elder brother was not the biological father of late Mercy. According to David, the late Cecilia Agena was two months pregnant when she married Thompson. He alleged that while they were dating, Cecilia was seeing two ther men and that when she got pregnant, she forced it on Thompson who took responsibility because he loved her.

“We all knew what happened, but that is a long story. I don’t want to talk about that now. No sane human being will kill his daughter because of a girlfriend, [I mean] how can you do a thing like that? Cecilia was a nice woman, godly and hard working; she loved her husband so much, in fact, they both love themselves. I don’t know what came over him.

“About three guys, including my elder brother, were dating Cecilia and when she got pregnant. It was confusing who actually was responsible. But she insisted it was my elder brother, who out of love, accepted it and got married to her. Later, we heard that he was not the one. So, there was that problem. But, my elder brother and his late wife were the best of friends. There is no reason for him to do what he has done because of a woman.” David said

Thompson is currently in police custody and will be arraigned in court for murder.

Seyi Law daughter

Seyi Law and his daughter were able to wow the audience in their performance and it all looks like the celebrity is already preparing her for the show business.

From the clip, the proud father was seen asking Tiwa various questions ranging from the name of her country, to the name of the governor of Lagos State, and Tiwa answered correctly, triggering hearty cheers from the audience.

This is the first time the comedian would be spotted performing with Tiwa and in a chat with Saturday Beats, he revealed that the questions were not rehearsed.

Seyi Law daughter

He said:

No, we did not rehearse before I brought her on stage. It was only the audience that was shocked by her brilliant responses, I was not.

“She has been taught a lot from school and those were part of what she was taught. I have always put her in front of the camera and so she didn’t have stage fright.

“I try as much as possible to build her confidence as I suffered serious inferiority complex growing up.”

Speaking on how he was able to rid himself of inferiority complex, the humour merchant simply said,

I had to study more and learn to get involved in discussions more intelligently. I would say my intelligence helped me.”

The show displayed by Seyi Law and his daughter was not however welcome by some Nigerians.

They took to social media to condemn him for exposing the young girl unduly.

While responding to the critics, the comedian said:

It is their problem because I didn’t help their parents train them, so they should allow me to train mine. When I need their opinions I would ask. For now, it is not needed.”

Suya Meat Making: You’d think twice before eating Suya meat after seeing these photos

Suya meat

Suya meat making is disgusting

A Facebook user has shared the deplorable condition of where Suya meats are being prepared.. and the environment looks dirty and beyond unhygienic..

According to the Facebook user, you’d think twice before approaching that Aboki to buy a soothing spicy cow meat.

The dirty environment and poor or zero hygiene conditions in which Suya is made and handled in many places in Nigeria, has called for a great concern.

Suya meat

Meanwhile, the Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, has warned Nigerians against the consumption of some popular delicacies like Suya is dangerous to the health.

According to the Minister, other forms of meat including Kilishi (spicy dried cow meat) and Ngwo-Ngwo, (assorted meat pepper soup) also lead to the death of many Nigerians as they cause hypertension leading cardiovascular disease in Nigeria and can result in stroke if untreated.

Many Nigerians, however, do not agree with Prof. Adewole as they see the consumption of such delicacies as a must and most times, they come quite cheap.

Pastor TB Joshua delivers two lesbian partners in his Church (video)

Pastor TB Joshua

Pastor TB Joshua, has made news again after a video of him performing a deliverance session on two lesbians surfaced online.

Joshua delivered the women who were lesbians partners and had attended his church during a programme.

Pastor TB Joshua

After prophesying into their lives, the homosexual urge in them vanished.

Speaking to his congregation after the deliverance, the pastor urged everyone to embrace the ladies saying what they need hate is the sin, not the women.

“God hates sin, not sinners. When I say, ‘Do not judge so that you will not be judged’, I mean we should hate sin, not the sinner because sinners can change. If you have killed a sinner by judging him, there will be no opportunity for change.

Sinners can be delivered. We should hate the act, not the people because our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the ‘spirit beings’ that cause all these acts. “The Bible is my standard. If my parents were one, I would not have been given birth to.

Those that are asking this question – if your parents were one, you would not have been given birth to. You that are reading me – if your parents were one, you would not be reading this today.” – T.B. Joshua

Mavrodi launched his controversial scheme in 2011 and crashed in Nigeria in December 2016; with millions of Naira belonging to Nigerians still missing.

The Ponzi scheme in a Statement on its official website on Friday said they were shutting down due to the death of the founder, Sergei Mavrodi, who died on March 26, 2018.

MMM shut

The statement reads:

”Dear participants, after much deliberation, we have made the conclusion that continuing the System operation, without our leader and ideological inspire, is impossible and makes no sense.

“We all carried out the tasks he assigned to us, since we had no doubt in his genius and rightness of the path he had chosen.

“We are firmly aware of the fact that none of us has a full view of his conception’s profoundness and sequence of all the actions to achieve a final goal, declared in the “MMM’s Ideology”.

Sergei Mavrodi’s broadmindedness scale is unprecedented.

“Therefore any attempts to continue the System operation without him are bound to fail.

“We respect him immeasurably and cannot afford to allow that our unskilled actions may cause profanation of his concepts.

”In view of the above, with deep sadness, we have to announce the ultimate and irreversible MMM closure.

”We also remind (as a matter of form) that all initially were fully aware of the risks and read the WARNING and confirmed that by checking the relevant box when registering.

”Hoping for your understanding, Administration.”

Nollywood Actress, Eucharia Anunobi speaks on finding love again

Eucharia Anunobi

Actress Eucharia Anunobi who lost her son has opened up that she is still ready to love any time God gives the go-ahead.

Actress Eucharia Anunobi

In a chat with Saturday Beats, the actress while trying to hold back tears explained how she has been coping without her son who she always referred to as her best friend.

Eucharia Anunobi said:

“I do not know how I have been coping but I wake up and tell God that I know he has been keeping me.

“If I want to begin to think about how I have been holding up, I don’t think I would be able to say anything.

“God has said that we should not walk by sight but by faith so I am not looking at the event that surrounds me or had surrounded me.

“If I begin to look at them or think about them, like Peter in the Bible, I would begin to sink as I walk on water. So I do not want to think about the events around me.

“I just know that God is the author of everything and he is the one that I look up to.

“I know that he knows all about the pain I am going through.”

She said when her son died, for a split second, her faith was shaken but God spoke to her in the midst of her sadness.

If I say that it was not the plan of the devil to shake my faith, then I would be lying.

“I know that being a healing minister and an apostle, it was all a plan of the devil to test me.

“I would say for a split second while I held my son who died in my hands, I asked, ‘where is God?’ at that moment but in less than two seconds, he answered me and said that in the midst of the storm, I am here, don’t worry.

“I always tell people that the amount of God that you swallow before the day of adversity is what keeps you during the adversity because surely the adversity would come.

“I guess if people say I am standing strong, I give God the glory.”

Despite all her ordeals the actress believe that light will surely overpower darkness. It is just a matter of time:

To keep myself happy I read the work of God. I pray and I am also schooling.

“I am involved in a lot of work, I am very busy. I am open to love but at the right time.

“God who is the author and finisher of my faith has great plans for me.

“Why not? I am open to love. There is no one who has been created and would say that they do not want a partner, so why not?

“I pray for a partner and I know my partner would come at God’s appointed time.

“Why not, I am open. I love reading and cooking; I also love cleaning and washing.

“I love driving as well despite the Lagos traffic. I love taking care of people and giving out things,” Anunobi said.

When asked how she would feel if she gets pregnant again, she laughed and simply said:

You are going too far with your questions but if my partner comes and I get pregnant again, we would give glory to God.

Nigerian Rapper Ill Bliss talks about how he coped for 8 years in a childless marriage

Nigerian rapper Ill Bliss

Nigerian rapper Ill Bliss, has opened up on how he was able to cope for eight years without having a child.

The rapper welcomed his new daughter recently where he spoke about this for the first time.

Speaking with Saturday Beat, the rapper described himself as a ‘testimony’.

He mentioned the eight years of waiting for the fruit of the womb was one of the toughest periods for him and his wife.

Nigerian rapper Ill Bliss

In his words;

“It was the most trying time of our lives as a couple, but we never had doubts about having a baby. We were only concerned about when we would have the baby. We waited, kept praying and stayed focused.

I don’t know where I got the strength from, to be honest. I see couples that are under pressure to have a child after six months of marriage and they are worried. I waited for eight years and some months. My daughter turned nine months old this week.

It is awesome and amazing to watch her grow. I am a testimony of God’s goodness. If God could do it for me after eight years, he can do it for anyone looking for a child. The experience brought me closer to God,” he said.

The rapper also mentioned that he was lucky that he didn’t face any pressure from his parents and in-laws but that it occasionally occurred to him that he had no child.

“I am very lucky with the kind of parents and in-laws I have. They all supported us and kept praying for us. They kept advising us never to panic, that the kids were coming, so there was no pressure from their side.

Naturally, as a person, I sometimes fell under that pressure that I was not a father yet but a lot of people did not even know my situation because I was always around children. I have relatives who have kids and I was always playing with their children because we are one big happy family. Everybody just kept praying till it happened. Nobody knew I did not have a child for eight years.”

Nigerian activist downs a bowl of rice and lizard meat (Photos)

Nigerian activist

Nigerian activist Che Oyinatumba took to his Facebook page to share photos of an interesting meal he had.

The meal was so exceptional that he couldn’t help but acknowledge the blessings of Africa.

We can’t say if it’s recession that has gotten the best of this gentleman or if this indeed is a dish enjoyed by people of his town, but we can say it’s a cuisine we’re not brave enough to try anything time soon.

Though he calls it Abakiliki rice, we’re okay with it cause it has ‘rice’ in it, but what we’re overly stunned at is his ‘encouragement’ for his Abakiliki rice… Exotic, ladies & gentlemen, take note… “Exotic” Lizard is what is his ‘encouragement’ for this meal.

He literally has a Lizard, which looks roasted btw, in his plate! What a real wawu… He captioned the photos:

Africa is blessed!!!

Two students of Benue State University write final exams in their wedding gowns

Benue State University

According to multiple reports, two 400-level students of Benue State University were pictured writing their final exams in their wedding gowns.

The students are Mass Communication students of the university, where they wrote their last paper, COM 402: Media Law and Ethics in their wedding gowns today.

Apparently, the exam clashed with their wedding which was today.. The exam of course couldn’t be shifted, so they had to storm the exam hall in their gowns.

Some reactions as captured by Laila Below:

Their children will be so serious with sch ehn, they should finish on time m craving for wedding rice abeg

What students go through in this country to get that Damn certificate though. And in the end, you won’t find any job. When you finally find one. They’ll offer you 30k a month.. I’m tired of Nigeria. I swear

That is nice. They in for 2 exams in a day. They will get a certificate immediately today in one while they have to wait for d other to come out later. But may i ask a question here? Are they using uniforms in the school?

Women that marry in school and are pregnant during NYSC ???…I don’t know how you do it

So they can’t wear another outfit and change immediately after d exam. You have made it to the media, clap for yourselves ???

It’s obvious a lot of people have forgotten that final year students of nowadays make customized tops and possibly put it on there final exam. Happy married life to the ladies. They obviously value education and didn’t give chance to an EXTRA YEAR. Good one.

A country that can’t just have a flexible educational system..these ladies can write the exams later, but no they must do it now or have carry over.. even Harvard university will give exceptions but our hard life mentality won’t allow us..well it’s my 2cents ??????

Daddy Freeze – Hell Fire does exist!

Controversial OAP and Preacher, Daddy Freeze has said hellfire is very very real!

The preacher has tackled the controversial issue in his latest YouTube video he titles, “Is Hell Real?”, This is coming after there were controversial reports where Pope Francis was credited to have said Hell does not exist.

Daddy Freeze

Twenty-five minutes into the clip, Freeze uses Galatians 2:9 to prove the existence of hellfire and reveal what actions take people there.

Galatians 2:9–10 says, “James, Cephas and John, those esteemed as pillars, gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship when they recognized the grace given to me. They agreed that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised. All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I had been eager to do all along.”

Freeze on Hell

According to the OAP and leader of the Free the Nation Online Church, not giving to the poor takes one to hell.

In his words, “Helping the poor is a fundamental teaching of Christianity and neglecting the poor is a sure way to hellfire.”

In another attempt to affirm the existence of hell, Freeze refers to Revelation 21:8, which says, “But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

He backs this with Matthew 13: 50, Chapter 25: 41, 46, and Mark 9:43.

Concluding the video, Freeze adds, “This is figurative though but it still signifies that there is hell.

“So, there is hell especially if you are working with the Bible… I can point it out to you without any doubt that hell is real.”

Read the interview below:

Your first Instagram skit was posted on August 11, 2017. How did you grow your following so quickly to 337,000 within five months?

There is no secret at all. I think it is just about doing what I love and enjoy. If you are consistent at doing something, people will notice you and eventually follow you. They will also refer others to your page if you are doing something wonderful. I never thought of coming online to be posting any skit. I was just doing comedy for fun, for my family and friends, who would laugh and compliment me. But afterwards, others discovered me and wanted to see more of my funny side. So, in August last year, I posted my first video skit on Instagram. I think I got just about 80 views on my first post. By the time I posted my second skit, it got about 110 views. I didn’t let the few views discourage me because I was not seeking fame in the first place. So, I just kept doing what I loved and enjoyed and that’s how the following grew. Today, I get thousands of views on my skits. So, I didn’t do any special thing to get followers on Instagram. I didn’t buy them and I didn’t also promote my account. It just grew because of my consistency and because there is a message in my skits.

Why do you use the ‘wide mouth’ filter for your skits?

I like the feature because it gives me a distinct look and voice in my videos, thereby making them to be unique. I had been using the feature on Snapchat but when I learnt about Instagram and that the feature was also available on it, I didn’t think twice before adopting it for my skits. And so far, the feedback from people has been good. People like the way I use the filter in my videos.

Where do you draw inspiration from while creating your skits?

Many ideas go on in my head and I write them down if I don’t have my phone with me. Some of those ideas are as a result of my frustration or tiredness. I always try to turn every experience, whether positive or negative, to an inspiration. And it doesn’t have to be a big experience. My inspiration sometimes comes from small experiences. For instance, I might be looking for fresh bread in the neighbourhood and if I don’t get what I’m looking for, I get tired and frustrated and from there, it could become the theme of the next skit I’m creating. I also listen to people when they share their experience. Through what I hear, it can also motivate me to create a skit. But overall, the desire to become better day after day is the major source of my inspiration. When I wake up, what I think about is how to make better impact on the lives of people through my skits.

So, would you say you have made impact on people’s lives through your skits?

Yes, I have and it’s in a great way that has given me joy. I have received tons of messages from Nigerians complimenting me regarding my skits. Some would say when they were in the hospital on the sickbed; it was my skits that made them not to give up on life. They would tell me my skits kept them happy and sustained them throughout their stay in the hospital. Some would tell me they were once frustrated but that my skits made them to have a rethink about life. Some would say that when they lost a friend or family member, my skits made them to smile and forget their sorrow. Others would say when they lost their job or relationship and they were down, my videos helped them to wade through those hard times. Sometimes when I read the messages, it pushes me to work harder towards putting smiles on more people’s faces. And I promise to do that. So, yes, I have made impact on people’s lives through my skits.

Have you ever been a victim of online bullying and how do you handle it?

Yes, who would say they have not been bullied online? The hustle has not been easy, but I don’t pay attention to the bullies. I pay attention to my work.

What are some of the weird requests you get from your fans, especially the female ones?

There is a lot of weirdness out there, but what I try to do is to turn the weirdness into sources of inspiration. I don’t let them put me off. Concerning my female fans, some of them usually tell me that I am cute and that they would like to have sex with me. Some who don’t request for sex would tell me that they just want to have a date with me.

Do you grant such requests?

Of course not; one should not lose focus because of those things or else, distraction will set in and success will become farther away. I don’t want to be carried away.

Has your social media presence opened doors for you?

Certainly yes! It has opened doors for me. Through my skits, I have been invited to perform at functions that ordinarily, I would never have been able to attend. I have had conversations with people that I wouldn’t have ordinarily met. I have also received gifts from people because of what I do. So yes, my social media presence has brought breakthrough for me and it is a testament to the fact that if you love what you do and you are consistent at it, someday, it would bring blessing.

Have you ever come across some of your online fans in real life?

Yes, many times. In fact, some minutes ago [Wednesday evening], I met some fans and they were kind of excited. Sometimes now, I get scared of going out because of the attention. But I guess this is something I have to learn to adapt to.

Have you ever had a reason to block anyone on your social media pages and for what reason?

None at all! Things don’t get to me easily. I think I have a thick skin, so it does not matter what people do to me, I don’t get easily pissed off. Some would say negative things about me, some even try to condemn what I do, but I have learnt to allow people air their views, whether negative or positive. What I do and what I would encourage anyone to do is to learn from the dirt people throw at you. If people piss you off and you start blocking them, that means you might block almost everyone in the long run. Meanwhile, you never know if your strongest critic or hater today will become your biggest fan or lover in the future. That’s why I simply overlook any naughty behaviour from some fans.

Before using the social media to post your skits, what were you using the platform for?

I was a writer and songwriter, so I used the platform to share my songs, but since I discovered the comedian in me, I have used the social media, especially Instagram and Snapchat, to post my skits. So, right now, what I basically use the social media for is to promote my comedy career.

Is comedy a talent you developed while growing up or has it always been in you right from childhood?

I was just a normal guy, I never thought of becoming a comedian, but I guess some people saw the comedian in me because they usually told me that I was funny. I never knew I was — until I started. Today, I have no regrets of who I am.

Which of your skits do you think put you in the limelight?

It was the one I made about people who live on Lagos Island — on how they are too afraid of small potholes on the roads. I ranted that you would see them driving their cars too delicately and swerving at the sight of every small pothole and almost causing accident in some instances. I told them in the skit to go to Lagos Mainland, where there are many big potholes on the roads. If they saw how motorists on the Mainland drove over large potholes, I told those on the Island that they wouldn’t be swerving anyhow at the sight of small potholes.

What is the feedback you get from your family and friends regarding your skits?

It’s been good. They love what I’m doing and they are proud of me.

There are many comedians on the social media right now? What makes you different from others?

Comedians’ messages always differ and I believe I have a unique message. Then, I also use the ‘wide mouth’ filter, which makes me have a different look from other comedians.

Do you get endorsements from brands because of your popularity on social media?

Yes, a couple of brands have reached out to me and I hope to get more.

What would you tell youths trying to follow in your footsteps?

It’s taxing to make skits, it’s not easy. But I enjoy what I do. Some people think it’s something that requires little effort to make. But what I have found out is that if you enjoy what you are doing, you wouldn’t mind the hard work that you have to put into it. Hence, what I will tell anyone trying to do skit is to love doing it because if you love it, you will enjoy it. If you don’t love it, you will quit too soon after making a few skits.

Who is your role model in the Nigerian comedy landscape?

This is a difficult question. I can’t really say I have role models in the industry, but of course, I have people that I admire. I am a fan of many comedians, especially those who have been around for over 10 years. I don’t want to start mentioning names here, but these are people that almost every Nigerian knows. These are people whose impacts on the industry have been huge.

Have you ever posted a skit that you regretted making afterwards?

I have never regretted posting a skit online and this is because I take my time to analyse and review whatever video I make before posting it. I don’t just make skits because they are fun; they must pass a message across to the people, so if it doesn’t contain any message, I won’t post it.
