So ma girl met this dude on IG sometime last year ending I guess, Yoruba but based in Canada. She wasn’t so into him and all but he was on her case, mans was “in love”.

Fresh facts have emerged on how rising Nigerian singer, Zainab Alizee, and her three-year-old daughter, Petra, were murdered allegedly by her Danish husband, Peter Nielsen, at their Banana Island residence, Ikoyi, Lagos, on Thursday.

Effiong Asuquo, a chief superintendent of police, told a Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court, Lagos on Wednesday that the accused hit his wife’s head on the wall several times leading to her death and then proceeded to poison his daughter.

Mr. Asuquo, a prosecutor, alleged that the accused killed Zainab and her daughter in the house.

Mr Nielsen allegedly committed the offences on Wednesday at his residence at Block 4, Flat 17, Bella Vista Tower, Banana Island, Ikoyi.

“The accused who was always at loggerheads with his wife had hit her head on the wall several times leading to her death; he also proceeded to poison his daughter.

“He had dragged their lifeless bodies under the gas to create the impression that they suffocated to death as a result of a gas leakage,” the prosecutor said.

The offences contravened Sections 223 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 and carries death penalty.

The case has been adjourned until May 8 pending advice of the state’s director of public prosecution.

The accused initially denied culpability in the murder, stating rather that he woke up to find the bodies in the kitchen and that they could have been suffocated by gas.

Meanwhile, Nollywood actress, Omoni Oboli, has called for justice over Alizee’s death.

The actress advised Nigerians facing domestic violence to dump the marriage and runaway with their children as nobody is worth dying for.

Popular singer, Harrysong, has also called for justice over the death of the Nigerian artiste.

Alizee was billed to perform at Harrysong’s ‘Kingmaker Concert’ at the Warri Stadium in May.

A native of Kogi State, Nigeria, she was set to promote her January 2018 single, ‘Alhaji Musa’, before the alleged murder.

The 29-year-old singer signed a two-year record deal with an Asian record label, Petra Entertainment, in 2017.

The deal reportedly earned her a new Ford Explorer SUV, a house on Banana Island and international distribution with affiliates of her record company in Asia.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday said he decided to seek re-election in 2019 because majority of Nigerians were appreciative of his efforts to reposition the country.

He said he decided to declare his intention on Monday during the National Executive Committee meeting of the ruling All Progressives Congress because of the anxiety among Nigerians on whether he would run or not.

According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, the President spoke while receiving the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, in London.

“I declared before leaving home because Nigerians were talking too much about whether I would run or not. So, I felt I should break the ice.

“We have many things to focus on, like security, agriculture, economy, anti-corruption, and many others. We needed to concentrate on them, and politics should not be a distraction.

“The majority of Nigerians appreciate what we are doing, and that is why I am re-contesting,” the President said.

Buhari recounted some successes of his administration with particular emphasis on the strides in agriculture.

“We have cut the importation of rice by about 90%, saving billions of dollars in the process. People who rushed into petrol money have now gone back to agriculture. Even professionals have gone back to the land. Nigeria should be able to feed itself comfortably soon. I am so pleased,” the President said.

President Buhari spokesman, Femi Adesina, has described as a ‘misquote,’ a report that his boss had pledged to serve for only one term.

Adesina said this while speaking with Channels Television via Skype, from London, yesterday,

President Buhari, 75, had on Monday shortly before he left for London, declared his intention to run for presidential election in 2019.

Mr Adesina clarified that the President was misquoted when he said he will not run for a second term because of his age. He added that concerning the President’s statement in 2011 when he said he will do just one term, it is no longer ‘applicable.’

“No, that’s a misquote, he was never, never quoted that way.

“If there is anything on record like that, it is a misquote because I was with him in South Africa when that issue came when he said, oh, he wished he had become president at the time he was a military governor; that he would have done a lot for Nigeria.

“And the other happened in 2011. When he was running in 2011 he said, yes he would be a president for one term. But did he win in that year? No.

“The victory came in 2015. So, that being quoted in 2011 is not applicable again because he did not win that year.’’ Adesina said.

On the purported vote of no confidence allegedly passed on the president by the Northern Elders Forum and the Council for Shariah, Adesina said the two groups have the constitutional right to support anybody vying for political office in the country.

He cited an example of a former president of the country who equally failed to secure the votes in his state and region but ended up winning the presidential election twice.

Asked whether Buhari obtained the support of his doctors before the Monday declaration, Adesina replied that the president is a responsible man who would never go against the advice of his medical personnel.

“If there had been any warning, any red light from his doctor, you know, he wouldn’t have ventured into it, unless you are telling me there is something you know that I don’t know.

“But, I know the president; as a very, very responsible man. If there was any warning, he wouldn’t do it.’’

Adesina disclosed that the president took him and other aides unawares when he announced his intention to run for another term in 2019.

He added the president’s declaration was in reaction to appeals by millions of Nigerians.

“Yes, there had been a lot of appeals. I have served in different meetings, with different interest groups and all of them wanted him to run for second term in office.

“And, do you know that whenever the president reacted to these groups, he would speak on all other points they raised except the issue of second term. It has been like this in the past one year even before he went for medical vacation…”

Nigerian singer and MAVINS recording artiste, Dr Sid has had to deal with a troll who referenced his late father while trolling him.

This troll, a lady, took to Twitter to shade the musician and while doing so, dragged his late father into it – she asked whether he still is an artiste before saying, as his father died, so did his career.

EFCC arrests four guys

On Saturday, April 7, 2018, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC Lagos Zonal office arrested four suspected Internet fraudsters.

The suspects are: Ale Daniel, Tunde Badmus, Adams Tunde Adedeji and Ajiboye Gbenga.

They were arrested in the Lekki area of Lagos State for various offences bordering on cyber crimes and money laundering.

Their arrest followed intelligence report received by the Commission about their activities, alleging that they were living flamboyantly without known sources of income.

Items recovered from them, include exotic cars and charms.

Speaking on the renewed clampdown on Internet fraudsters, the Lagos Zonal Head of the Commission, Akanninyene Ezima, said:

“It is to checkmate the activities of these undisciplined elements who want to reap where they did not sow.

“By this action, we are also sending a red alert to the so-called yahoo-yahoo boys that engaging in fraudulent deeds, does not pay.”

He also urged landlords, particularly in gated communities, to always carry out background checks on their tenants so as not to unwittingly run foul of Section 3 (Three) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act 2006, which says;

“A person who, being the occupier or is concerned in the management of any premises, causes or knowingly permits the premises to be used for any purpose which constitutes an offence under this Act commits an offence and is liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term of not more than 15 years and not less than five years without the option of a fine.”

The suspects will soon be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

Richard Akindele: OAU Vice-Chancellor finally speaks

The Vice Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University has finally reacted to the scandalous reports of one of its professors requesting an exchange of sex for pass marks.

On Wednesday, April 11, in a statement personally signed and released to the public, the Vice Chancellor, Eyitope Ogunbodede said that investigation of identifying the person involved is currently in progress.

He said:

“In full compliance to all applicable laws, the university has set up a high powered committee to investigate the allegation and submit its report within one week. Anyone found culpable will be dealt with decisively.

“The university considers sexual harassment as an offence punishable contrary to the code of conduct and anti-sexual harassment policy. The university will never condone such act by any staff or students.”

Similarly, the chairman of Congress of University Academics, Obafemi Awolowo University,Mr Niyi Sunmonu, maintained that if it is established that the leaked audio is true, the perpetrator is not fit to be in the academic environment.“Lecturers are expected to mould the lives of students.”

Recall that we had reported earlier Professor Akindele’s wife spoke on the scandal and blamed the devil for it.

The wife of the OAU lecturer has denied the allegations against him, saying the devil is out to tarnish her husband’s reputation.

The professor who is a clergyman at the Anglican Diocese of Ife, Osun State, was caught in a recorded phone conversation, demanding five rounds of sex from a female student before she can pass his course.

According to Premium times, some of his church members expressed shock at the development.

One of the church members said they went to the professor’s house immediately the news broke on social media and met his wife who blamed the devil.

According to her, she was urged to share the experience after she watched an inspirational video.

The well respected veteran comedian shared a detailed conversation which he had with the fan.

In his post, Alibaba revealed that upon the allegations, he decided to have a conversation with the fan in order to set things straight but it turned out the fan made the negative post for nothing.

This is one of those reasons I do not like to listen to people who say, IGNORE ALL THOSE LOW LIVES. Because the comments they make about you remain online and when bloggers see that you did not put up anything to deny or correct it, they take it as the truth.

The age of ignoring comments that damage your character has passed. Because these days, falsehood can be magnified into a believable lie… mainly because people are too lazy to cross reference and find out the truth by themselves. Just look at this yam head, jumping into my timeline and accusing me of being STINGY. I had to go look at his page to see if I knew him from anywhere

And saw a picture he had asked me to take with him at Eko Hotel last year. I asked my team if we engaged his services and I didn’t do the needful. I wanted to just block him, then someone liked his comments. That meant it was just one person who saw me as STINGY. Not bad. Just 2 guys. In fact, it meant I could correct the impression fast.

So I engaged him to know what he did that I did not show him generosity that he was ENTITLED TO. He first said celebrities like me should learn to be generous when services are rendered by people like him, instead of posting them and saying I will see you later.

I was worried. Then he confessed he had not done anything or worked for me. Pheeeew! That prompted me to ask what his definition for stingy was. He had no reply. You see, I like these kind of people. They can count the money you work for. They can even help you plan it. If you assist others but don’t do anything for them, you are STINGY.

Imagine the thwart, beefing car that I bought with my money, while he is lounging on a power bike! On scale of economics, there are people who that is a 4 storey car. But no. The entitlement culture has peaked. People now want anyone who has succeeded to hand over their hard earnings just so they won’t be seen as STINGY. Grace Ladoja is the daughter of a former Governor of Oyo State, Rasheed Ladoja.

She took to social media to hail her father and in the process revealed how long it took for her to be cool with him.

Grace Ladoja shared a cool picture of her dad holding her and captioned it…

Father & Daughter pt2 it took me 27 years to be cool with my Dad. I realised parents are only human, not perfect or God level. I tried to find a friend in him so that’s what we became.

Earlier this year, Grace was awarded a Member of the British Empire for her services to music. She is one of 452 recipients of the prestigious awards as part of the Queen’s new year’s honors list.

Speaking about this achievement on Instagram, Grace said:

Ruggedman clash with ASPBadmus

Ruggedman has clashed with a popular police officer on social media.

The police officer is Opeto Dolapo Badmus, fondly known as ASPBadmus.

The clash was over the death of a young man who died from injuries meted on him by some police officers.

Drama started wen the PRO gave update on the said issue, explaining that investigation is currently going on by the Lagos state commissioner of police, Edgar Imohimi.

Ruggedman who seemed to be tired of this’usual response’ from the police then reacted.

In a series of subsequent posts, both parties were able to air their opinion however, the clash came to an end but not without the female officer mentioning that she was totally disappointed in him for saying that the police was shielding the bad eggs.

Pastor says wife denies him sex

A Pastor identified as Joshua Ibeneme approached an Igando Customary Court in Lagos to end his 21-year old marriage to his wife for allegedly having sex with two of his Church members.

According to NAN, Ibeneme told the court that his wife was messing around with his male members.

“My wife had sexual affair with two of my church members, a deacon and a bishop.

“Both were boasting telling my other members that they slept with my wife because she enticed them.

“Whenever I return from a trip, my last born always tells me that men came to pick and drop my wife. Even God told me to divorce her or else she will destroy my ministry,” he claimed.

The petitioner said that his wife denied him sex for five years.

“My wife starved me of sex for over five years. Whenever I want to sleep with her, she will be given one excuse or another, in fact, she had moved out of my room to a separate room.

“But she gives it to my members freely,” the pastor said.

The 53-year-old pastor said that his wife was always mocking and embarrassing him in public telling people about his sexual performance.

He said that his wife always accused him of having affairs with any female member who came to the house for counselling.

“She accused them of dating me and also goes to their houses to fight them. Her behavior and attitude have chased members away from my church,” he said.

According to him, his wife instigated their children against him, they do not respect him and they refused to run errands for him except when their mother permitted them to do so.

He begged the court to divorce the loveless union claiming he was no longer in love with his wife.

However, the respondent, Uzomaka, denied having sex with their church members but accused her husband of infidelity.

“It is women that cause our frequent fighting, they are the problem in our home and my husband’s lust for them is very high.

“I never slept with the two men who claimed that they slept with me, they just wanted to tarnish my image, my husband is dating the wife of the deacon,” she said.

The mother of three said that she starved her husband of sex because she hated sex adding that she married him because she wanted children.

The 45-year-old teacher said that her husband became sexually inactive five years ago.

“He calls me derogatory names in public such as ‘prostitute’. I did not instigate the children against him,’’ she explained.

She begged the court not to grant her husband’s wish to dissolve the marriage claiming she was still in love with him.

The court president, Mr Akin Akinniyi, urged the couple to maintain peace and adjourned the case to May 10 for judgment.

Wizkid reveal why he has no picture with Drake

Wizkid has revealed why he doesn’t have a picture of him and US rapper, Drake together.

He came under scrutiny when he released videos of his hit song ‘closer’ which he featured Drake.

However, the rapper didn’t appear in both videos shot for the song leading to some form of embarrassment for Wizkid.

Situation got worse when Nigerian singer and producer, Tekno posted pictures of himself chilling in a studio with Drake and hinting at a possible collaboration.

Many interpreted it to me that Drake is probably having a misunderstanding with Wizzy, that’s why both men haven’t been seen together.

Well, in a recent interview, Wizkid clarified the matter by stating that not having a picture of him and Drake doesn’t prove anything. He further mentioned that he chills and hangs with a lot of people that he doesn’t even talk about nor take pictures with.

He said:

“Do you know how many people i hang out with on a daily basis that i don’t post the pictures? Do you know how many people that i know that i talk to and nobody even knows we’re friends.. There’s a lot of them. I don’t really care about pictures or other stuff, I’m more of my work.

What does a picture have to prove? that we hangout or we chill? We do that so why should i have to post it. I’m not that kind of person, i’m more of the music and i care about my music, so just enjoy the music. That’s all i’m here to deliver to my people, Accept it”.

In the same interview, Wizkid revealed how he ended the rivalry between himself and his one time sworn enemy, Davido.

He made it known that Davido is his brother despite their battle of supremacy which began and ended in 2017

According to Wizkid, anyone who knows him recognizes the fact that he is a peace loving person who doesn’t have time to beef anybody.

“I just called him and we made it happen. It’s not a big deal. I just sent him a message. It’s all hype, that’s not real stuff”.

Residents of Busai country were left in awe after a young housemaid cried out while writhing in pain as he offloaded a bulk of maggots from his pants.

Man swallows Toothbrush

A Kenyan man identified as David Charowass rushed to a General Hospital on emergency after he allegedly swallowed his toothbrush.

According to reports, Mr Charo was brushing his teeth when the toothbrush slid down into his throat.

The bizarre incident which took place on Sunday, April 1, has left many in shock as the man appeared in good condition, and could speak conveniently.

A series of X-rays carried out on the victim by the medics showed the toothbrush still inside him, as he awaited medical attention.

According of a relative who spoke to press men on Baraka FM;
“He is here at Makadara. He was brushing his teeth when the toothbrush slid from his hand and he swallowed it.They have done three X-ray tests on him already but he has not been attended to further,”

Though the toothbrush is yet to be removed, the hospital medics have him under observation in custody of the emergency unit.

The Lagos state police command has in a press statement given an update concerning the murder of Nigerian singer, Alizee and her daughter.

The command says it has decided to take Mr Peter Nielson to court on two count charge of murder.

Mr Peter Nielson fingered to have murdered his wife, Alizee and their four year old daughter,.

The late 37 year old Nigerian singer, Zainab Ali-Nielsen, aka Alizee and her daughter were found dead on Thursday in the kitchen at their residence in Banana Island, Lagos.

Alizee’s father said, “I have known my late daughter’s husband for over seven years now. At the outset, he was of good character but last year, he started fighting his wife. Last November, a case was reported at the police station when he beat her to a coma. He then wrote an undertaking that he would never batter her again.”

UPDATE ON THE BANANA ISLAND MURDER. …….

The Lagos State Police Command hereby notifies the general public that it had decided to take Mr. Peter Nielson, the Danish man alleged to have murdered his wife Mrs. Zainab Nielson and daughter, Petral Nielson to court for two counts charge of murder.

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State has directed that the case be charged to court based on the findings of the Crime scene detectives sent to the apartment of the Nielsons after the alleged murder was committed, the preliminary autopsy report and the result of DNA analysis carried out by forensic experts.

He would be taken to the Yaba Magistrate Court today 11th April, 2018, where the case would be mentioned and his trial for the offence of murder begins.

Meanwhile, a duplicate copy of the murder casefile has been sent to the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP), for legal advice.

Further development on this matter would as usual be communicated to members of the public.

The wife of the OAU lecturer has denied the allegations against him, saying the devil is out to tarnish her husband’s reputation.

The professor who is a clergyman at the Anglican Diocese of Ife, Osun State, was caught in a recorded phone conversation, demanding five rounds of sex from a female student before she can pass his course.

According to Premium times, some of his church members expressed shock at the development.

One of the church members said they went to the professor’s house immediately the news broke on social media and met his wife who blamed the devil.

A cleric in the church who simply identified himself as Reverend Adeola said:

Another church member said there will be no need for a computer test on the leaked audio as the voice is definitely that of the professor.
