Frank Edwards, renowned gospel singer has shared his life story of how he survived as a child.
He also advised people that whatever suffering they go through is training for the future.
He has taken to his Instagram page to share the inspirational story of how his survived as a child by selling ‘Okpa’
Okpa is a delicacy popularly known in the eastern part of Nigeria.
He had sold it for ten years with his mother.
In a bid to inspire and advice people about waiting for God’s time, the gospel singer also stated that all the difficulties people go through before they succeed is training for the future.
Edwards says he sold Okpa for ten years.
This experience at the time made him familiar with business strategy and dealing with customers.
Furthermore, he also added that his experience gave him training for the future.
According to him, his mom made the okpa daily and he had to sell it with her.
He shared how this caused his eyes to become permanently red due to the damaged caused when he fanned the flames of his mother’s cooking.

An enraged Nigeria father, has out of anger, cut off the leg of a young man who was alleged to have defiled his baby in a community in Edo state.
The man who was reportedly caught while inserting his finger into a 6-month-old baby’s private part in Edo state, has landed himself in a hospital, after the baby’s father cut off his leg with a machete.
According to a Facebook user, Prince Gwamnishu Harrison, who shared the story online, the father was arrested for taking laws into his hand, and charged for causing ‘Grievous Harm‘.
The man reportedly revealed at the station that he cut off the leg out of annoyance.
He said he wants to withdraw the charge (Defilement) against the man to regain his freedom.
Meanwhile, the 36-year-old man suspect that defiled the baby, is receiving treatment at the hospital.
The hacked off leg was rejoined by doctors at the hospital.

A Nigerian lady identified simply as Caroline, who was a member of the Catholic Biblical Movement of Nigeria (CBMN), was reportedly found dead along the Adikpo expressway in Benue State after she left home with her boyfriend, on Wednesday.

A 16-year-old girl whose romantic notion towards a 17-year-old Mahmudul Hasan Maruf, was turned down by him, reportedly threw acid in his face in an incident which occurred in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
It was gathered that before dousing the boy with acid, the 16-year-old girl had been chasing after Mahamdul for a number of months despite his rejections.
Local media reports the boy was on his way home from a night out with friends, when he was confronted by the girl.
However her last confrontation, left the boy with horrific facial injuries as a result of the attack.
The girl and her mother have now both been arrested by police in Bangladesh.
Mahmadul’s mother joined him in the hospital, where he also revealed the horrendous damage caused by the acid attack.
He suffered most of the burns to his face, but also had injuries to his shoulder.
Doctors say it is likely the boy will be scarred for life, after entire layers of skin fell off his face.

The Ogun State Police command has arrested a 36-year-old man, Owolabi Musiliu, over the alleged mysterious death of his lover, Fausat Idowu.
The suspect, who is a mechanic at the Mechanic Village in the Camp Area of Abeokuta, was alleged to have taken 40-year-old Fausat, a divorcee and mother of four, to a hotel in Abeokuta for sexual pleasure when she fell ill and died mysteriously.
In a brief interview with journalists when he was paraded by the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, Ahmed Iliyasu, on Friday, Musiliu, a father of three, explained that it was the first time he and the deceased attempted to have sexual intercourse since they started dating about six months ago.
Musiliu added that they were just removing their clothes, when the deceased suddenly had a temperature and later slumped.
He added that it was when he was taking her to the hospital in his vehicle that he discovered that she had died .
The police commissioner said the suspect failed to report the incident either to the police or the deceased’s family but buried the remains in a shallow grave at Osara Village, close to the deceased’s house, off Abeokuta-Ibadan Expressway .
He said it was when the suspect was arrested that he led the police to the shallow grave in an uncompleted building, where he buried the victim in Osara.
When asked why he did not inform the police or the family of the deceased, the suspect said he was afraid, so he decided to hide the corpse and he later buried her at midnight.
Iliyasu explained that the deceased’s younger brother, Hammed Idowu, had on February 1, 2018 reported to the police that the deceased had gone to attend a christening at Bode Olude Area but did not return home .
On the strength of the report, Iliyasu said detectives at the Homicide Section, were detailed to investigate the matter. He said intelligence-based investigation and profiling of the deceased’ s telephone call log revealed that the suspect was the last person she spoke with.
He said the suspect was later tracked down and apprehended on March 19, 2018. He said the suspect admitted that he knew the corpse and had buried her after she died mysteriously.
Iliyasu said,
“On interrogation , the suspect admitted taking the deceased to a hotel at Iyana -Apakila, Abeokuta, for pleasure, where he claimed she fell ill. He said he took her in his vehicle but she died in the car mysteriously.
“He further confessed that he took the corpse to a nearby bush, dug a shallow grave and buried it without disclosing same to anybody.
This made the circumstances of her death mysterious as well as questionable, which is condemnable . The suspect will soon be arraigned before a court of competent jurisdiction.”
Paul Okoye of the now defunct singing group ‘PSquare’ has revealed in a new interview with The Nation, that he never left the group when his twin brother, Peter, opted out.
According to the singer, he has moved on with his solo career after waiting for two months to see if their difference could be resolved.
Paul said: “I never left and I don’t know why people keep asking me that.
“It might be the fourth time it’s happening but I always wait. But this time the difference is that I did not wait.
“So I don’t have issues on that.”
Speaking further, Paul also said the earlier days of their separation was strange to him because he had never performed alone but now he is used to it.

The beautiful couple were joined by the Vice president and his wife, Yemi and Dolapo Osinbajo as well as the first lady, Mrs Aisha Buhari to cut their lovely cake.

Although Shola Idowu, popularly known as Weird MC is known to be one of the pioneer contemporary female rappers in the Nigerian entertainment scene with hits like ‘Allen Avenue,’ ‘Ijoya,’ under her belt and numerous awards on her shelf, nothing much has been heard from her in recent times.
In a chat with the rap artiste who is currently in the UK, the 47 years old entertainer mentioned that she would still love to have children of her own because she is a lover of kids.
She said, “Right now, I am open to love, the love of God. All I would say is that everything would happen as he wills. Regarding having children, I came through someone, so someone has to come through me.
“I love kids a lot. I would love to have two. Growing up, there were six of us in the family, three boys and three girls;

She detailed how his death affected her, saying that it caused a void in her heart.

“Nomoreloss and I were very close and his death came as a big shock to me because we spoke a few days before his death.
“I went to London for about a month and only returned to Nigeria to perform at Darey Art Alade’s show.
“When I called Nomoreloss, he sounded happy to hear from me and even asked if I was back.
“We were all playing and joking. He told me that he was somewhere at Dolphin Estate, so I told him to accompany me to the concert.
“I was excited to hang out with him but he just told me to go and have fun.
“I didn’t know he was ill at the time but he did not want me to know about it.
“After his death when I asked his brother why I was not informed, he said he was sure Nomoreloss did not want me to see him the way he was because he probably knew how emotional I could be seeing him.
“We were very close; more like brother and sister relationship.”
“On that Monday, I was so busy and coincidentally I was not on twitter which is very unlike me.
“I noticed that Alariwo had called me several times eventually I picked his call and the next question he asked me was if the news was true and I was lost because I did not know what was happening.
“He broke the news to me and I told him that I did not like that type of news because I still spoke to him a few days earlier.
“One of my personal assistants was with me and he also acknowledged his death but I ignored him because I did not believe it to be true.
“I went to a friend’s office, Jide, and he also confirmed the news to me but I still did not believe them, so I called Omobaba.
“When he confirmed the news again, I was so shocked. I remember going to the mortuary and insisting that I wanted to see him because it was like a dream and there he was just lying down.
“I was so shocked. All I could say was, ‘wow! So Muyiwa you are gone.’ It was a big shock to me,” she said.
The rap artiste was quick to affirm the news that she is now a born-again Christian.
She, however, noted that her love for God would only change her dress sense but not her music or fan base.
“The appeal people have for me or the music I used to do take second place to God.
“If I feel overly concerned about the appeal, then the question would be who am I worshipping, my career or God.
“God created music as an engagement tool and the main reason music was created was for it to be used to worship Him.
“So if I take the musical talent God has given me and use it to honour him by sharing Him with the world, I think that is a good thing.
“I come from that background; the only difference is that I am now talking about God, I am now telling people that I have seen the light; come with me because this is what the light looks like.
“I think it is an amazing thing and people would see that I am now sincere.
“There are a lot of contemporary gospel singers; we have the likes of Kirk Franklin, B.O.U.Q.U.I, Nathaniel Bassey, and Travis Greene.
“Weird MC means that I am different and peculiar, it also aligns with the fact that if you become born again, you become a peculiar nation unto God.
“I had thought about changing my name after giving my life to Christ. I had thought about using my real name, Shola since a lot of people know my real name.
“But I want my audience to realise that there is a spiritual transformation going on in my life.
“I truly believe that my true core followers would transform with me because it is the will of God.
“The will of man cannot supersede in my life anymore. The Holy Spirit can also minister to me that I should not drop the name because there is a nation attached to me and the Lord wants me to minister to the audience and keep my name.
“I would not do things that would compromise my faith. I would always use myself as a vessel of honour unto God.

On Wednesday 21st March, the EFCC, Lagos Zonal office arraigned one Ifeanyi Nwaneri before Justice Olusola Ajibike Williams of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos on a five-count charge bordering on stealing to the tune of N1.2billion.
The defendant, a customer with Access Bank Plc, was alleged to have fraudulently carried out several transactions on Point of Sales (POS) terminal issued to him by the bank.
The defendant had approached the bank sometime in March, 2017 for the issuance of a POS terminal and requested that it should be enabled to accept international cards.
He started receiving huge inflows into his account through his international cards on July 30, 2017.
He consistently received money from July, 2017 to September 18, 2017 to the tune of N1.2billion.
When the bank discovered how money was being credited into Ifeanyi’s account, he was engaged by the Relationship Team Unit of Access Bank to know the nature of his work.
He told the team that he deals in ‘Precious Stone’, in addition to dealing in automobile parts.
He also said that his customers were foreigners. He managed to move some of the money into different bank accounts. .
Access Bank later received a mail from Interswitch in which it made declaration of fraud in the transactions of POS belonging to the defendant and the fact that there was no authorization for the transactions from the legitimate owners of the money involved.
Investigations, however, revealed that the defendant carried out the transactions with the VISA International Card.
The case had been adjourned to April 23 and 27, 2018 for continuation of trial.

Coming from someone who fell in love and got married from Big brother Africa, her opinions definitely does matter.
Pokello Nare has taken to Twitter to weigh in on Cee-C and Tobi’s dramatic relationship. According to her, falling in love in the house and falling in love outside are two different experiences.
This is coming after Cee-C was following Tobi around today, begging for his attention, but as usual, dude was unbothered.
Elikem Kumordzie and Pokello Nare met and fell in love on season 8 of Big Brother Africa (The Chase) in 2013.
Here’s what Pokello wrote;
“You know when u play hard to get coz you want that nigga to go all out to get you. Then he decides he is tired of chasing but now you have fallen. Cee-c now dey feel Tobi roff. We hv been there before”
She continued;
“But I blame Tobi, that kiss during the Dancing task was when love sweet Cee-c bad. So now she can’t understand how just 4 days later he has just gone cold. Why kiss the gal like that dat na”

A Youth Corp member who is yet to be identified has been arrested for allegedly defiling an eleven-year old JSS2 student.
The Corp member is serving in Delta, Warri area of Delta state, where the incident also occurred.
According to reports gathered, the Corp member was assigned to carry out home lessons for the young girl but he had other plans for the girl.
This resulted to an early pregnancy and also put the little girl in a bad position.
The girl, who is a student of The Nana College, Warri now goes through the pain of abuse and molestation.
In addition, the suspect has been arrested and is currently in custody at Division B police station in Warri.
Furthermore, a notification has also been sent to National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) National Secretariat as the suspect is yet to be charged to court.
Consequently, a Facebook user, Israel Joe shared the news on the platform, he wrote:
“A youth corp member defiled an eleven (11) year old JSS 2 student. Simple instruction to carry out home lessons have ended the little girl with pregnancy.
“The Nana College Warri student now goes through the pain of abuse and molestation.
“While he will be charge to court and a notification has been sent to NYSC national secretariat, we insist that parents must be careful with those they leave with their children. Trust no man.
“The suspect is right at the custody of B Division Warri and we are much impress with the non compromising investigations by the working DPO.
“Again I’m saying trust no man with your female child. Don’t suspect them, don’t trust them. Be street wise…”
