The high point of the event was the formal handover of Mrs. Anene to her family and presentation of Sewing machine, some cloths and stipend to enable her start tailoring at home amidst songs of praise to God by friends and well-wishers, as well as dances by the inmates.

In the same vein, find below a Whatsapp conversation between a Nigerian car dealer, possibly a scammer and a potential client.. The conversation got us cry-laughing…
In the thread which can be seen below, the dealer tries to sell a car for his potential client who asks to see photos of what he’s about to purchase, what happened thereafter will have you laughing your ribs off.
The client then proposes a payment method and says the merchant, shouldn’t be worried about shipping fees, as he’ll take care of that by himself – this was where things got really hysterical as the dealer couldn’t understand what his client meant by ‘shipping’.
He mistook the ‘ship’ as a noun – ‘ship’ on the sea – and even went further to explain to his client that he’s selling a car to him and not a ship.

The Federal Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo, on Friday said it expelled 18 students and rusticated 62 others for various misconducts in the 2016/2017 academic session.
The Rector of the institution, Dr. Sanusi Jimah, made this known at the 36th matriculation of the 2017/2018 students in Auchi.
Jimah said the institution had zero tolerance for social vices and that the management would not hesitate to sanction any student found wanting.
He warned, “students who present fake credentials to gain admission will not be comfortable here.
“All the credentials you presented during the registration process will be verified.
“If the credentials are found to be fake, the penalty is expulsion from the Polytechnic.’’
The rector said 11,173 students comprising 6,318 for National Diploma and 4,855 for Higher National Diploma courses were admitted into the institution for the current session.
He advised the students to shun cultism, violence, examination malpractice and other vices.
He also urged them to imbibe dialogue, peaceful co-existence, discipline and hard work to excel in their studies.
“You have come into this institution at a time that management is on a mission for transformation.
“This transformation agenda is directed at ensuring that corrupt practices are eliminated in the conduct of academic and other transactions in the polytechnic.
“The management will come down on staff who extort money from students to enhance their examination grades or request gratifications to pass students.
“Just as we hold staff accountable for proper conduct, so also management will hold students accountable for discipline and full compliance with the rules and regulations operating on campus,’’ he said.
The rector assured the students that staff and management would provide the enabling environment for them to excel.
He said that the institution would continue to promote quality education through the provision of modern teaching and learning facilities.
“Beginning from this session, the polytechnic is putting finishing touches to the take-off of computer-based examination for all ND 1 and HND 1 students.
“This will advance the students’ knowledge on the use of electronic means of learning.
“Computer is of immense benefit in today’s world driven by information technology, and it reduces sharp practices to the barest minimum.’’

Nigerian politician and religious activist, Reno Omokri has once again taken to social media to attack President Muhammadu Buhari.
According to Reno, in his column in Thisday Newspaper today, he disclosed that based on academic record, Buhari won’t even be hired to manage a KFC outlet.
“President Buhari, who is 76 years old this year (his football age), has taught me awisdom. It is foolish to equate wisdom with age. For most people, even some Presidents, age comes alone. Based on academic record, Buhari won’t even be hired to manage a KFC outlet.”
Read the full piece below…
What possessed President Muhammadu Buhari to go to Ghana for the 71st Independence Anniversary and promise them to help fight corruption?
Does the President not have sane advisers?
My grandmother is Ghanaian and if I wanted to, I could qualify for Ghanaian citizenship. I know my people. They do not suffer fools gladly. You should have seen the way Ghanaians ravaged President Buhari after his faux pas.
Ghana is #81 on this year’s Transparency International’s Corruption Perception Index, while Nigeria is at #148. My question to President Buhari is how can you help a nation that is less corrupt than yours to fight corruption? It is like a demon offering to deliver a pastor!
That is how the same Buhari disgraced Nigeria after the 2016 Munich Shooting by promising to help Germany fight terrorism.
Imagine Nigeria that is rated as the 4th most terrorized nation in the world, wanting to help Germany, one of the least terrorized nation, to fight terrorism. Who should help who? Buhari should be in a retiremeho? Buhari should be in a retirement home, not at our Presidential Villa.
Would President Nana Akufo-Addo have brought back a notorious fugitive who just happens to be the biggest thief in the civil service? Would he have reinstated him and given him double promotion?
Would President Akufo-Addo have retained a Secretary to the Federal Government who was caught red-handed pilfering funds that belonged to Internally Displaced Persons?
Would President Akufo-Addo do nothing when a leaked memo revealed that $24 billion worth of contracts had been awarded by the state oil firm without due process?
Would the Ghanaian President appoint a minister who was indicted by a panel of inquiry? A former governor who claimed to have spent $500,000 on a one-day dinner for a Nobel laureate?
In fact, let me address the Ghanaian President directly.
Dear President Nana Akufo-Addo,
I gather President Buhari promised to teach Ghana how to fight corruption. Transparency International says corruption has increased in Nigeria under Buhari! Is this your teacher?
If anyone should be teaching anybody, it would be President Akufo-Addo who should teach President Buhari. Have you ever heard him speak? His diction and elocution would make you proud to be an African. His academic qualifications are intimidating. And his courage is legendary.
Look at the way he confidently and politely told off French President Emmanuel Macron when the latter visited Ghana recently and thought he could speak down to African leaders as usual. Perhaps Macron thought that Nana was Buhari!
Based on academic record, Buhari won’t even be hired to manage a KFC outlet. Based on business record (his 150 cows that don’t increase) he won’t qualify for a bank loan.
He also failed as a military leader, yet, Nigerians expect this man to prosper Nigeria! It is like expecting a man who could not pass mathematics to teach you how to pass additional mathematics.
Spin him however you like, the fact remains that you cannot point to one thing in his life that Buhari has run successfully. I apologize in advance to Buharists, but truth is bitter!
There is no area in which President Buhari can be in a position to teach Ghana. Is it the economy? He has failed woefully in that regard. Does he want to teach Ghana how to take their economy into recession?
The greatest myth of the Buhari era is that he has been a success in the war against terror. Big lie. Turns out that the man has been negotiating with Boko and possibly paying huge ransoms to them to achieve the cosmetic successes he boasts about in the anti-terror war.
All those so-called ‘repentant’ Boko Haram fighters were not all released because they had disavowed terror. No! Many of them were released in exchange for hostages taken captive by Boko Haram.
It is also strongly suspected that Boko Haram’s resurgence is the result of ransoms paid to them by the Buhari administration.
A good example is Shuaibu Moni, a Boko Haram commander captured by the gallant men and women of the Nigerian armed forces and released by the ungallant Commander-in-Chief, President Buhari.
Now the man has surfaced in a new video, threatening the Nigerian state. He can be seen in this video surrounded by well-fed fighters brandishing expensive and sophisticated weapons probably bought with the ransoms allegedly paid to Boko Haram by the Buhari administration.
Like Nigeria, Ghana also experienced killings by killer Fulani herdsmen, but unlike Nigeria, Ghana dealt with the issue decisively. President Akufo-Addo famously gave a shoot at sight order on any cattle found grazing on farmlands.
Not done, he gave an order to shoot on sight any armed Fulani herdsman. So effective were his orders that in January 2018, Fulani elders in Ghana were shown on television, begging the government to give them a grace period of just two days to evacuate their remaining cattle. The video is still available on YouTube for those who care to watch.
Meanwhile in Buhari’s Nigeria, the representatives of herdsmen have the guts to go on television to justify herdsmen killings without fear of being arrested.
Prominent members of Buhari’s government have openly made statements showing obvious bias in favour of killer Fulani herdsmen and the killings continue without let even as President Buhari gives empty assurances that he would stop them.
One of the upper cuts that President Buhari received from Ghana was from Ghanaian comedian, Afia Schwarzenegger, who asked the President to get a bible and read Mathew 7:3-5.
Let me help the President with that verse:
“And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.” (Matthew 7:3-5 King James Version).
Perhaps I should have put it in cartoons since the President’s spokesman told us that is what the President prefers to read.
So what then does Buhari have to teach Ghanaians?
Thankfully, after frolicking in Kano while his nation is in mourning, President Buhari has decided to visit those frontline states currently struggling with insecurity chiefly caused by killer Fulani herdsmen.
I must commend President Buhari for following the example of Governors Wike and Fayose in visiting Taraba, Benue and other states gripped by killer Fulani herdsmen killings.
If President Buhari can’t show good leadership, at least he has shown that he can be a good follower! Well done!
But it seems that the more Boko Haram kills, bombs and abducts, the more Buhari claims to have defeated them. Is Buhari an ostrich that buries its head in sand? Wake up sir.
You run a more corrupt and less secure government than the PDP according to international ratings agencies!
Let me end by saying that President Buhari, who is 76 years old this year (his football age), has taught me a lesson about equating old age with wisdom.
It is foolish to equate wisdom with age. For most people, age comes alone. Not everyone who is older than you is wiser than you.
My advice to President Nana Akufo-Addo of Ghana in the light of President Buhari’s offer to mentor him is that when seeking a mentor and counsellor, look for someone wise, not someone old.
Absalom followed old Ahotophel’s advice and he was destroyed, and David took young Abigail’s counsel and he was saved. At age 30, Joseph gave Pharaoh the advice that saved Egypt. Never confuse age with wisdom!
Reno’s Nuggets
Courtesy is never wasted. Always be courteous to people of low status. Don’t treat a gateman, a cleaner or a waiter like dirt. Respond when they greet you. Even greet them first.
How you treat those who can’t help you is how God will treat you. It was a prisoner that God used to make Joseph the Prime Minister of Egypt.
It was Naaman’s house maid that introduced him to Elisha who God used to cure his leprosy. It was how he treated Lazarus that sent the rich man to hell.
There is nothing like a high or low man. Only statuses are high or low. But we will leave our status on earth when we die #RenosNuggets.

Beautiful photos of a female Member of the National Youth Service Corps wearing a camouflage top to go with her khaki trousers have made rounds on the internet
Youth corpers are known to occasionally modify their khaki uniforms into more fashionable bespoke designs and rock them outdoors.
The corpers, especially the female members, have over time dared to challenge the norm by re-fashioning their outfits including actually re-sewing their khakis into what they consider more ‘wearable’. Sometimes, they are spotted a different kind of top on their khaki trousers.
Now, this pretty Nigerian lady apparently a serving corp member, has joined the trend as she shares photos of herself online wearing her uniform but not in the traditional way. She is seen wearing her khaki trousers atop a military camouflage as she strikes a pose for the camera.
Though looking really pretty in the photos, many social media users fear she might get the beating of her life if by any chance a soldier sees her.
See more photos below:
To be honest, the lady is really beautiful ,,,,, Dontcha think so ?
Ifeoma Oledibe has every reason to be grateful to God after He delivered her from untimely death recently – Ifeoma narrated how she narrowly escaped being crushed to death after she fell out of a moving bus and was run over by another vehicle in Awka, Anambra State capital on Thursday, March 8.
To show gratitude to God for keeping her alive, she took to Facebook to write,
Till now, I still lack words to express my profound gratitude to God, for delivering me from an untimely death today. Yes, u read right, I would have been somewhere in a mortuary by now if not for his miraculous intervention. If not this merciful God, my pictures would have been flying around with RIP tag since morning. Friends glorify this God for me!
I can’t help but shed tears as I am typing this, they are tears of joy. Joy of still being alive after death failed in bargaining for my life today. The same path so many have trod on and received RIP, but I received ”you have a big God!”
Can someone help me and brag about this God for a while…..He’s the Covenant keeping God, Miracle working God, The help of the helpless, The Elshadai, The mighty man in battle, The Ocean divider, The Rose of Shalom, The rock of ages!!!! He’s bigger than all these names, friends praise this God for me!
One of the pictures below, is the screenshot of the status I made this morning, before I had the encounter, as if I knew what is going to happen. And indeed, he proved to me that he’s the unfailing God. Friends thank this God for me!
She continued,
I stopped a mini bus on my way to school this morning, I personally don’t like staying by the door, but being that it was the only space left, coupled with the fact that I was also in a haste, I decided to manage the place, I lowered my head to enter but I ended up hitting my head on the frame of the vehicle (I wonder when I became that tall) I don’t need to tell you how painful that stuff can be. Anyway we took off, but there was this inner voice I shunned, which was telling me that it could be a bad omen, that I should get down from the bus, well like I said, I shunned it. The worst part is that there was no grip for me to hold, yet the door was not closed so I held the front seat.
We got to the ”beautiful gate”, (if you know Unizik very well you should know this gate, Unizik’s first gate when you are coming from Amenyi or Agu-Awka, you will also know how busy that major road can be), the driver just swung to his left forcefully, everything happened so fast that can’t even explain how it happened, but all I know is that my hand slipped from the seat I was holding, I lost balance and fall out of the bus, I can also remember shouting J.. E.. S… U.. S as I was falling. An inner voice again said, ” so Ifeoma this is how u ended up” I thought I had been crushed by the vehicle that was following us, I thought I had died. But who is he that speaketh when the Lord has not spoken?
As I opened my eyes, I was expecting to see myself in another realm, with my spirit floating, but to my greatest surprise, I found out I am still in that environment, and very conscious. I looked back, the vehicle that was following us, just halted few feet away from me. I checked myself, it was just that slight bruises on the photo below, no fracture or any other serious thing, even the phone I was holding has no scratch on it, it was only the watch I was wearing that broke off from my hand, (which I didn’t even bother to pick up) …..
As the other bus driver was busy scolding our own driver on how recklessly he drove, and the passengers were praising God, I was too shocked to cry or talk. I was wondering….. what if the other driver couldn’t stop, what if he had ran over me, what if I had broken my head, what if my clothes had get hooked somewhere in the bus and I got dragged along…. So many what if. It could only be but God that can perform this kind of miracle!! Everyone was amazed because a lot of people have lost their lives through that way.
As you are already thanking God for me please, I want you to learn something from here, if you must stay by the door of a public bus, make sure it has a grip where u will hold, better still insist on the door being closed. And you as a driver, I hope you know that the vehicle manufacturers that attached the grips are not stupid, neither are they idiots to have made the door closable, if your bus’ grip has fallen off, fix it back, make sure you close the passengers’ door before you start your engine. All those little little things can be an architect of a premature death.

It was reported few days ago, that pregnant women in Ghana, are now allegedly taking pills to bleach their unborn babies from dark to light… This is due to the general fact that most Ghanaian babies are born dark.
The pills work by creating chemical reactions that reduce the secretion of hormones that darken the skin of the child, making them light-skinned while they are still in the womb.
One of the drugs in question, Glutathione is one of the most talked-about supplements in the healthcare industry. However, mothers have begun manipulating its side effects to alter the complexion of their unborn babies.

Did you watch day 40 of the Big Brother Naija 3 reality show?
If you missed it, we’ve got the highlights for you!
..
My Beat. My Rhythm
Alex’ energy is so contagious that we all felt it when she first walked onto the Big Brother Naija stage. From queening with her green hair to queening on the dance floor, she’s definitely a force to be reckoned with.
Sink Or Swim?
At the beginning, she seemed to have had it all figured out and looked like she knew what she wanted and how she’d get it. In fact, this is true for most if not all of the Housemates. Everyone thought that having watched the show before would give them an upper hand but boy were they wrong. Being so young and in a position where she’d be exposed to so much with the whole of Africa exposed to her, Alex took a bit of a fall and almost completely lost her game plan. With 19 other overbearing personalities in the House, there was evidence of back stabbing and quarrel cocktails that always spilled over and intoxicated the entire House; Alex seemed to take even deeper dives and found it hard to swim to the surface and catch her breath, hence her drowning.
Dogded The Bullet
However, it seems like her absence during her ‘recollection period’ did her good because she managed to dodge the Nomination bullet and got out of it with mere scratches and emotional bruises, this due to the consequent Eviction of her bestie Vandora. Little ol’ Alex had gone down so much that the only way was up really and that’s where she seems to be going, slowly but surely. Her gaming philosophy is quiet different from the rest though; during her conversation with Ifu Ennada, she said and we quote, “there’s only one winner, one out of 20 people and you want me to break my leg?” Basically, she’s not about to ruffle any feathers or stab any backs, unless of course it’s done to her.
Many Shades Freed
Her partnership with Tobi wasn’t only remedial for him, she too benefited from it. Even though she’d locked herself in closet Leo for a while, Tobi managed to get through to her and not only was her energy felt during ‘audiogasm’, she cracked the shell and stepped over the pieces in the House too. Although she’s mentioned just how afraid she was of growth, there is some evidence it.
Banked for Returns of Loss
Unlike any challenge they’ve had before, the Heritage Bank Task required intellectual investment and had the Housemates thinking outside the box, basically standing firmly as consumers and curating ideas based om their own expectations from a financial service provider.
The Treasure Hunt
For the first day of the Task, the Housemates went on a treasure hunt and were tasked with finding clues that would eventually lead to them receiving their kit boxes that contained material and attire that would be used for their main Task preparations. The Housemates literally went on a wild goose chase and turned every article in the House upside down. The clues were eventually put together.
The Strategy Gist
Day two of the Task was strategy based. A brief stating the rules of engagement and information on how they were expected to curate their presentations was given. Basically, the Housemates were to build a strategy corner, designated only for Task talk and planning and in addition to that, read up on the on the Octopus and then develop apps based on the features of the Octopus. The groups went straight into the planning, with some Housemates automatically assuming leadership and delegating mini tasks amongst the team member, all was well that was expected to end well.
App For The Money
Today, marking the third and final day of the Task; the Housemates were given an opportunity to brush up on the Apps and polish their presentations. On Biggie’s cue, BamBam representing Team White took to the podium and very few errors and respecting the constraints of time, made her case. She was followed by a clearly well-rehearsed Tobi whose entire plot and presentation was convincing and sounded like an app created by Mars inhabitants, on behalf of Team Blue. Last but not least, with book in hand, Cee-C took to the stage and laid Team Green’s App on the surface for all to see. Theirs was particularly interesting because there were ‘cheater buster’ features and one that could limit one’s budget when on a date with unwelcomed guests; where are the women scorned?
The judges, Anto, Lolu and Teddy A had to deliberate and we’re certain that it wasn’t an easy decision, or do you beg to differ?
The Anto Effect
Ante Up
With her delicate frame, Anto entered the House on a bouncing stride, looking all pretty, smiley and most particularly guarded. By virtue of being the only US-born Nigerian in the cohort – and the only spectacled Housemate – she stood out like a sore thumb. Yet she turned what may have appeared like a flaw in her favor. Not only was she fit and sporty, with a clear complexion and general sparkle for life, Anto oozed comfort in her skin, in who she is and in her ability to lead herself. She never claimed to be other than who she is, a poised, sharp and confident woman.
She Rules
Housemates have discovered that Anto’s doe eyes covered a fiercely clever personality. From the get go, Anto brushed any male advances aside, taking males down a peg. Without a word, Anto made it known that she wouldn’t entertain anyone’s fantasies, male or female, for she had come to win the ₦ 45 million prize. Regardless, she blended in nicely in the crowd, never loud yet unmissable. Likewise Housemates reciprocated the chill by keeping a respectable distance from Anto. It’s not that they didn’t like her, it’s just that they sensed she simply was not in their little worlds: the guys quickly got to grips with the fact that they stood zero chance for they were not her type at all. As for the girls, they agreed quickly Anto was out of their league, as she was not of the clingy or moody type like some had been, and respected her like an older wiser sister whose long, healthy natural hair they envied.
What’s My Name?
Yet Anto’s mystery remains solid. While she’s not shy of telling it like it is and sprinkle a few scathing remarks when necessary, no one has really pierced her secrets. No one except perhaps Lolu, her cerebral male alter-ego with whom she has formed a symbiotic pair. These two are so comfortable with each other that they look into each other’s eyes, whisper in each other’s ears, walk arm in arm and sweet-talk themselves to sleep. While Lolu is the clingiest of all, of late, ever since her pairing with Miracle, Anto has made a new ally in the House. She’s been happier to have another source of companionship in the House for they are on the same wavelength. They’ve had such a blast during a few Tasks.
So far Anto’s strategy, like all smart people, has been to downplay her credentials. Her excellent listening abilities have allowed her to steadily navigate the Double Wahala House and adapt to her environment. Yet one cannot ask but wonder who really Anto is.
One For the Money, Two For The Show
Powering Up
After a gruelling week of environmental awareness and physical constraints, Housemates were ready to get into a good game. Competition is a thing in the Double Wahala House, where week after week, Housemates outdid themselves. Tonight was no different, as they jumped, crawled, climbed, dived and hit the ball like never before. Even Teddy A was undeterred when Biggie called him out for touching the bucket with his hands as he tried to pluck with his teeth, one of the apples out of the water. With forty-nine seconds, Cee-C’s record score was unquestionably the highlight of the Games.
The Art of Losing
As the adrenaline from the Game dissipated, Biggie took a jab at Housemates’ execution of the environmental challenge that didn’t meet his expectation. What was intended to be fun and simple turned out differently. Biggie also scorned Ifu and Lolu for throwing insults at each other. As always, he reassured the House to expect normal water supply again before dropping the bomb that they had lost their wager. At this stage, Housemates looked stunned and jumbled.
Never Say Never
After a quick shower and some refreshments, Biggie gathered the Housemates in the lounge again this time to announce the winner of the Task Presentation. After outlining the criteria for the assessment, Biggie announced Team Blue – Ifu, Leo, Tobi and Lolu – and their Oct app as the winners of a 3-course lunch, as well as seed capital for each member, capacity building, access to free business clinics and individual business mentors. To top this very generous reward, each member of the winning team was also awarded a weekend getaway for two in a luxury hotel in Lagos.

Have you been watching? What did you think of the Day 40 activities?
Just two days after Justice Yusuf Halilu of the Abuja High Court granted bail to Maryam Sanda, who allegedly killed her husband, Bilyamin Bello, she has been seen throwing a birthday party for her daughter.
An FCT High Court on Wednesday released Sanda on bail after she was arrested for allegedly killing her husband, Bilyamin Bello, to death. Her slain husband was a nephew to former chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Haliru Bello.
According to photos that have emerged online, Sanda organised a birthday party at her mother’s residence on Thursday, and the event was attended by close family members.
The photos of the birthday that were released sparked an outrage on social media after the suspected killer housewife appeared in one of the photos looking unruffled and cuddling the baby celebrant Alisha who turns one.
Some are enraged that after Justice Yusuf Halilu said the court granted her bail based on medical report indicating that she is pregnant and indisposed, then she shouldn’t have the time to throw a birthday.

While the rest of the world were celebrating the International Women’s day yesterday, 8th of March, 2018, the mothers of kidnapped Dapchi girls were filled with bitterness as their children are still yet to be found.
Insurgents believed to be from a faction of Boko Haram invaded the girls’ school on Monday 19 Feb. 2018 and it was later on confirmed by the Federal Government that 110 students of the Government Science and Technical College in Dapchi, Yobe State have been so far unaccounted for.
Nollywood actress, Maryam Charles, in light of this expressed her heart break over the fact that the girls are still yet to be found – sharing the pain of the traumatized mothers who are yet to find their kids, she wrote:
We celebrated International Women’s Day yesterday but for mothers in Dapchi, Yobe state, the day was bad. Their children are still missing having said to be taken by Boko Haram. I am heart broken by this and I can’t even imagine what they are going through at the moment.i really do hope they are found soon.
To all women working to provide a better life for themselves and their family, don’t stop.keep striving, keep working. The voices that seek to stop you may be many but, don’t listen. You are strong, you are brave. I really hope our government is doing all they can to bring the girls back home because every minute wasted is a shame on our great nation.
A statement from the office of the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, revealed the figure after a meeting between a Federal Government Delegation and representatives of key stakeholders, including the state government, the college, the parents, security agencies and Bursari local government, where Dapchi is situated, in Damaturu on February 25th.
He said, based on the briefings from the Principal of the College, Hajia Adama Abdulkarim, and the state Commissioner for Education, Hon. Mohammed Lami, 906 students – out of whom 110 have not been accounted for – were in the school on the day of the attack.
Hip Hop Mogul, Rick Ross took to his Instagram page on Thursday to show gratitude to his fans for their prayers and support after he was hospitalized for an unspecified heart condition.
The Maybach Music Group CEO who was released from the hospital on Monday, shared series of new photos following his health scare.
In one of this posts, the 42-year-old rapper wrote, “Ain’t nothing like home. I love ya’ll,” while holding a bottle of Luc Belaire Rosé in the photo.
Evicted Big Brother Naija housemate, Ahneeka has spoken with Pulse about her supposed ‘attraction’ to fellow Big Brother Naija housemates, Teddy A and K.Brule.
During a Facebook Live interview with Pulse.ng, a fan mentioned that the evicted housemate had told Biggie that she had feelings for fellow housemates, Teddy A and K.Brule.
In response to the comment, Ahneeka revealed that apart from Teddy’s looks, which she admits makes him the hottest guy in the house, the up-and-coming musician falls flat to her.
K Brule.
On her relationship with K. Brule
Ahneeka said she had connected with the disqualified housemate because, just like K.Brule, she knows what it means to be downtrodden.
Can you guys bring the Ahneeka that was in the house because I don’t know what you guys are talking about?
I just connected to K.Brule because he just was cute. Not just physically, the guy is cute; spirit and looks. Also, I don’t know if I’m a sucker for a lost cause, but I just like people who are downtrodden and people like to step on them.
I just like to know that “yo, you’re not alone’ because I have felt like that in my life, and I just like to relate with those kind of people.
K.Brule is nice, he is so nice. His spirit is so true, so I just connected with him on that level.
On feelings for Teddy A
Teddy is probably the hottest guy in the house because he is very tall and likes to swag it up. But, outside of that, Teddy falls flat to me.
I don’t see Teddy as… Please just play your game and come out of there, nothing else. You’re cute, but mmm… Bye Felicia.
I didn’t tell Biggie that I was in love with Teddy A. I probably was complaining that I couldn’t connect to Teddy because of Bambam.
For some reason in the house, anytime I tried to talk to any guy in the house, people made it look like I was trying to steal their man. And Bambam was my girl so I couldn’t have her thinking like that, even though at some point she did.
So I was staying away from Teddy and he was making it known that I was being too reserved – It’s because of your [Teddy A] babe [Bambam].
I could flow with you, you could be my G, but I’m just respectful to your babe and not to start some drama in the house.
So that was just my concern. I couldn’t connect to the guys because of their wives.
The National Council for Women Societies (NCWS) has appealed to the Federal Government to remove legal restrictions on abortion to ensure safe services.
Mrs Gloria Shoda, President of NCWS, made call at a one day sensitisation workshop for women on ‘Unsafe Abortion’ organised in collaboration with IPAS as part of activities to mark the 2018 International Women’s Day in Abuja.
Shoda attributed the failure to reduce the high rate of death from unsafe abortion in Nigeria to lack of access to safe abortion.
She said that there have been an increasing number of abortion cases throughout the world.
The president said the situation had been fuelled by social and economy vices, adding that unsafe abortion accounted for over 70,000 deaths annually worldwide, Nigeria inclusive.
Shoda said that where enabling laws are available, deaths and disabilities from abortion are greatly reduced.
She said most times services are expensive and facilities are often poorly equipped in terms of manpower and materials necessary to handle abortion emergencies.
She urged women to embrace the use of contraceptives to reduce the incidences of unwanted pregnancies, which could lead to unsafe abortion.
“We also encourage our young girls to abstain from sex until marriage,” she said.
The Germany based Nigerian lady identified as Jacobs May, who embarrassed Nigerian music superstar, Olamide, in Germany has told her side of the story.
Jacobs, whose video about her altercation with Nigerian hip hop artiste Olamide went viral last week, has shared her own version of the much reported incident.
She said all she wanted when she challenged Olamide at a hotel lounge was an apology for his rather short performance when fans had expected “something better” during a show in Germany.
Read her interview with Punch Metro below;
What do you do?
My name is Jacobs May. I am a Germany-based Nigerian entertainer. I am a dancer and I own a dancing school which focuses on African contemporary dance. As a Nigerian in the Diaspora, I try to use my dance to promote the Nigerian heritage.
What led to the fight in the video?
I really did not want to talk further about the Olamide issue, but I saw a video on YouTube and this made me realise some Nigerians still have no clue or an in-depth understanding of what exactly happened in the video.
The organisers approached me, six weeks to the show, asking me to invest €6,000 in the show as Olamide will be in Germany to perform. I told them the notification was too short for me to invest that kind of money.
Three weeks to the show, they contacted me again, begging me to use my photograph to promote the show, which I accepted to do. I also posted the photo on my Facebook and Instagram pages and even told my followers and other people to get their own tickets.
So, were you at the event?
Yes, I was at the event. I bought a VIP ticket for €100, though I was not supposed to pay, considering the fact that I was used to advertise the show, but I did it to support them.
What happened between you and Olamide at the event?
Olamide and I didn’t have any confrontation at the show, but his attitude was so annoying that I had to confront him after the show. It wasn’t an Olamide show but he was the main artiste. Some other Nigerian artistes also featured in the show.
What did he do at the show?
I was told that Olamide arrived at the hotel where I also lodged on Saturday and he was scheduled to perform at 1:00am on Sunday. But to my amazement, Olamide came up at 3:30am, having kept people waiting for two hours.
By the time he came on stage, fans were furious. People were already drunk and they started flinging objects onto the stage. I was seated on the VIP section, which was mounted on the stage. I was part of the people who got hit by a bottle and I almost collapsed on stage. People, including me, got so angry after Olamide performed for only 20 minutes. People paid so much to watch your performance and you put up a shabby performance and for just 20 minutes.
Olamide
So, what happened after the show?
Like I mentioned earlier, I lodged in the same hotel as Olamide. I got to know when he arrived on Saturday because I have been in the hotel since Friday.
Since we were in the same hotel, I walked up to him in the lobby at daybreak to explain what had happened to me as a result of him coming late on stage. I approached him as a civil person and told him what had happened to me. I also told him that it was unfair that he flew seven hours only for a 20-minute show. I confronted him with the fact that it was disrespectful of him to have come late and not to apologise to his fans and to also throw a 20-minute performance for fans that have waited over two hours for him.
I was dazed when he stood up and walked out on me.
What happened thereafter?
I was full of rage when he showed no concern, compassion or remorse. That was when I brought out my phone to record the whole incident. Perhaps if he was polite I would have accepted his apology and walked quietly to my room; but his attitude led to the fiasco.
Just like it is often said that pride goes before a fall, there was no way I would tolerate such an attitude.
Did you contact the organisers of the show?
Yes, I did.
What was their reaction to the video?
They did a video disclaiming my accusations and saying it was a wrong move.
What do you intend doing to them?
I am suing them. I will make sure no show is done here again if the security of the people cannot be guaranteed.
Did Olamide contact you after the video went viral?
No. In fact, I believe there is no need for that. His arrogance would not even let him do such.
The manager said you were only trying to get Olamide’s attention. Is it true?
That is not true, but I’m not surprised because I wouldn’t have expected less; that is so typical of Nigerians. I had no clue he was staying at the hotel before I lodged there.
Of course, what do you expect his manager to say? Sure, they will always make it sound bad for me, but I care less. I just said things the way they are and I am sure next time he wouldn’t try such and other artistes will also learn from this.
Evicted housemate of the ongoing Big Brother reality TV show, Dee-One, has made a shocking revelation about his fellow housemates at the show.
Speaking on individual housemates, Dee-one revealed that Bam Bam as is widely known got into the show as a dedicated Christian and she apparently preached the word of God to her fellow housemates at some point.
DeeOne
Dee-one who was reacting to the scene of Bambam and Teddy A having sex in the toilet, also disclosed that Nina and Miracle always read the Bible, pray before engaging in their sexual activities.
He accused Nigerians of pretending, adding that housemates were encouraged to do anything in the house before going in.
Dee-One who spoke on Fly TV, said, “Nigerians are funny. They’ll be like ‘be yourself do what ever you want’ but when you do it they will turn against you saying ‘no o no o.’” and I’m thinking, ‘whats happening?’
“Some people said, ‘Bambam is such a dedicated girl. A chorister in her church. Why should she bring such a shame in her family.
“I’m like ‘What’s this?’ Bambam came to us, even me…as a spiritual person. I mean, as someone that receives messages from God.
“She told us that God speaks through her and sometimes we even wanted to go to her to know who would be leaving the house first.
“She told us that when she prays and gets information from God, some people would not understand her because they don’t connect to her level.
“Even Nina and Miracle, there was something they were doing. In the evening they will pray. When they want to sleep they’ll read Bible, pray then lie down and have sex.
