Viral Nigerian chef, Damilola Adeparusi, better known as Chef Dammy, was invited for questioning by the Ondo State Police Command on Thursday, November 23.

This comes after her pastor, Pastor Adegoke Jeremiah, filed a petition against her with the Police AIG Zone 17 in Akure, Ondo state. However, the details of the petition are currently not clear.

Recall that Dammy became an internet sensation after attempting to cook for 120 hours, days after Hilda Baci broke the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking hours by an individual.

At the time, she received the full backing of her pastor and her fellow church members. However, things went south between them for reasons best known to them.

South African Man Receives 15-Year Sentence For Strang|ing His Girlfriend And Dumping Her Body In A Bush

A 26-year-old man, Mojalefa Stoffel Sebashe, has been sentenced to 15 years of direct imprisonment by the Sekgosese Regional Court in Limpopo, South Africa, for the murder of his girlfriend in 2019.

According to Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba, the Limpopo police spokesperson, Sebashe strangled his 28-year-old girlfriend to death at his parental homestead in Senwamokgope, Vaalwater Village.

He then dumped her lifeless body in a nearby bush.

The tragic incident unfolded on the evening of December 2, 2019.

The following morning, a community member discovered the victim’s body and promptly alerted the police. Murder charges were filed, and an investigation was initiated.

Sebashe was arrested soon after as a suspect in the murder, but the case was temporarily withdrawn pending further police inquiries.

However, he faced multiple court appearances before ultimately being convicted and sentenced to 15 years of direct imprisonment on November 22, 2023.

A video of Nigerian rapper and singer, Crown Uzama, popularly known as Shallipopi, graduating from the polytechnic has surfaced online.

The singer appeared excited as he repeatedly mentioned that he was out of here while his course mates took turns to sign on his shirt.

Shallipopi, who currently has his own record label Plutomania, was firstly signed to Dvpper Music where he released his first hit single, ‘Elon Musk’.

The ‘Obapluto cronner’ who mentioned in the video that he would not be coming to school again after the sign out, graduated from Auchi polytechnic in Edo state, where he studied computer science.

The video was shared by Dami Adenuga on the microblogging platform X and has received a lot of comments from netizens.

Abuja Woman Recounts Her Horrifying Kidnapping Ordeal By One-Chance Operators (Video)

An Abuja resident has shared a terrifying account of being kidnapped, assaulted, and robbed by one-chance operators after entering a cab in the city.

The woman explained that she boarded the vehicle, believing it to be safe, as she was headed from Kubwa to her sister’s house in Gwarimpa, Abuja.

Inside the car, there was a driver, a lady in the front seat, and two men seated behind.

As she neared her sister’s house, she called to inform her of her location.

However, one of the men immediately began choking and hitting her.

Desperate for help, she opened the window and waved to passersby, but her pleas for assistance went unanswered.

After enduring approximately thirty minutes of assault, the assailants forced her into the cramped space on the car floor, demanding a ransom of N1.5 million for her release.

She frantically reached out to people she knew for money. Each time someone on the phone stated they didn’t have funds, the attackers escalated the violence.

They seized her ATM card and withdrew money whenever it was sent to her. Additionally, they coerced her into unlocking her phone, only to log her out of the device themselves.

Eventually, the kidnappers informed her that they would release her since her loved ones had contributed N500,000. They also confiscated her bag and personal belongings.

Dropped off on an unfamiliar road, she found herself begging for a ride, but no one offered assistance.

Thankfully, a compassionate stranger eventually provided her with a ride and a phone to call her sister.

The survivor issued a heartfelt warning, urging everyone to be extremely vigilant, especially at night.

She emphasized the lack of shame and conscience of one-chance operators, expressing her gratitude for being alive by the grace of God.

Prolific Nigerian writer, Chimamada Ngozi Adichie, has revealed how having her daughter prevented her from writing for a period.

In an interview with the BBC, the well-known novelist disclosed this, saying that while motherhood is a gift, it has a price.

She clarified that while giving birth to her daughter could have prevented her from writing two novels, the experience did introduce her to a new level of awareness that she can now include in her writing.

Chimamanda discussed how being pregnant made her feel dizzy and how, up until recently, she was unable to enter her writing period.

According to the famous writer, she was unaware of the experience of pregnancy and had to cope with various discomforts, including achy joints and constipation.

Despite her belief that pregnancy is lovely, she wishes that other women have sufficient knowledge about pregnancy and the intense emotions that go along with it.

Reality TV star and chef, Uriel Oputa, has claimed that she has acting talent greater than that of several contemporary Nollywood stars.

She made this bold statement during an interview on Cool FM, where she revealed that she has been approached by movie producers to appear in films.

Uriel said she studied drama in the United Kingdom, and she knows that she is a good actor, but she rejects movie roles.

“A lot of people have approached me to be in movies. I get asked to be in movies all the time; in my DM, email, I get approached to be an actress.

And I know that I’m a very good actress. I am probably better than some of the actresses in Nollywood right now. And that’s me being real. Apart from having a natural artiste instinct, I studied drama in the UK. So, I know that I’m quite a good actor.

Nigerian singer, Charles Chibuezechukwu, popularly known as Crayon has dispelled the misconception that artistes can get their inspiration from smoking marijuana.

He cautioned his colleagues and other creatives against falling for the fallacy that using drugs or smoking substances would spark inspiration.

The 23-year-old clarified that using marijuana or other illegal drugs won’t promote innovative thinking in someone who lacks skill.

Passengers aboard a Frontier Airlines flight were left stunned when a woman, whose identity remains undisclosed, pulled down her pants mid-flight and attempted to relieve herself in the aisle.

The incident unfolded on Monday, November 20, during a flight from Florida to Philadelphia, as captured in a video shared on Facebook by fellow traveler Julie Voshell Hartman.

According to the footage, the woman apparently resorted to using the aisle as a restroom after a flight attendant denied her access to the lavatory at that moment.

As surrounding passengers voiced their objections, the woman responded with expletives, declaring

“I don’t give a f**k,” “F**k you,” and insisting, “I gotta go pee!”

After briefly pulling her pants back up, she continued to demand entry into the plane’s bathroom, engaging in confrontations with other passengers towards the rear of the aircraft, as shown in a separate, longer video.

Julie Voshell Hartman, who witnessed the entire incident, took to Facebook to recount the distressing experience.

She described how the woman not only exposed herself in front of children but also issued threats towards fellow passengers, including herself.

Expressing her hope for the woman’s arrest and subsequent ban from future flights, Voshell Hartman spoke on the disruptive nature of the incident.

Frontier Airlines has yet to release an official statement regarding the incident, leaving many to wonder about the consequences faced by the woman involved in this shocking mid-flight situation.

Controversial Nigerian actor, Yul Edochie, has taken to social media to comment on people’s lack of interest in Oladips now that it has been confirmed that he’s alive.

Recall that the singer fooled the whole internet after pretending to have passed away from an undisclosed ailment in a bid to promote his new album.

The musician confirmed his survival in a recent update by posting a video of himself looking healthy and tagging it with the phrase “proof of life.”

Social media users’ responses to the video have been divided; some have criticized him for what he did, while others have shown sympathy for him.

In response, Yul Edochie said that if Oladips had actually passed away, people would have been posting his pictures and songs on a regular basis.

Social media sensation and comedian, Chukwuebuka Emmanuel Amuzie professionally known as Brain Jotter, has disclosed during an interview with Hip TV that he used to sell bedbug killer in school.

The renowned skit maker said this after a throwback video of him taking part in a stand up comedy competition was played.

After the skit maker finished watching the clip, he was asked what year he participated in the stand up comedy challenge.

In response, he said he participated in the competition in 2019.

He further revealed that in 2020, he worked at a laundry services where he was being paid 15k per month but was later increased in 2021 to 30k.

Brain Jotter mentioned that the money was not sustainable because he had just gained an admission in the University of Lagos at that time.

He was made to indulge in something else while studying, which resulted to him selling bedbug killer while he was in school.
