A Nigerian actress, identified as April Joju Muse has taken to social media to reveal that she was brutalized by a Police officer on her way to work today.

According to the actress who shared the video of what transpired between herself and the uniformed personnel, she was hit by a vehicle which reportedly belongs to the Police.

..and then she was screaming at the top of her voice against the policeman, when he destroyed her passenger window, and threw teargas in her car.. She wrote:

“My dear friends if I die, pls look for at Ajiwe police station. I was brutalised on my way to work. I’ve posted a video.”

The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, says Nigeria youths are copying the wrong model of leadership, an act, he notes, may jeopardise their future.

Amaechi made the assertion in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on the sidelines of the Future Awards Africa held at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos last Saturday.

He said the youths are not ready yet to embrace a corrupt-free society because they were wrongly orientated by those who were using them for their interest. He said:

The problem with Nigerian youth is that they just want to take over from the elite but they are not ready to embrace change, they don’t want reform.

They say that the roles being played by the elite are not satisfactory, but they must be ready to upset the leaders of this country through their ingenuity.

For example, during our days of activism, we engage government over unfavourable policies and we get headlong even during the military administration.

Now, student union presidents want a vehicle and a driver to be driving him about to attend meetings; during our time, who dares have a car, we all struggle on the street.

He advised Nigerian youth to rise to the fight against corruption. He said:

I will advise the youth to fight against corruption with all their energy instead of giving tacit support to those they think are their benefactors.

During our time in the student union struggles, we rose against impunity and organised protests; but what happens today, the government of the day announces the money siphoned but the youth keep quiet.

Such astronomic stolen amount government announced wouldn’t have happened during our time, all the street would have been filled with youths protesting and seeing that the culprits were punished.

Today, we have some of our youths dancing behind the corrupt politicians for a pot of meal that will not last long thereby mortgaging their future.

Amaechi said that Nigerian youth should stand up to the reality of life by asking questions from leaders on how they manage the economy and the commonwealth of Nigeria. He wrote:

Nigerian youth should start asking questions from leaders, including me, about what we are doing with our resources. It’s time to reject those that put us in this.

We should all desist from pulling our country down through corruption. But unfortunately, the youth are not interested in that, all what they want is how to look good.

Maybe they looked at me wearing designer shoes, what they will notice is that designer and how they can get it. That is not supposed to be.

During my time as a student union leader, I had only two pairs of clothes. But now the value system is wrong and the youth are copying wrong leadership model.

A 23-year-old third year university student identified as Valerie Apondi, was on Saturday murdered by her boyfriend who accused her of being unfaithful, The Star reports.

The incident took place in the wee hours of the morning in a guest house in Bondo town. Apondi, who was pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology, was found dead in a pool of blood in the room they had booked.

The caretaker of the guest house said the two booked the room on Friday at around 8pm. The suspect, Collins Oluoch Ogweno, 25, a nurse at Nightingale Hospital in Kisumu is said to have killed Apondi with a machete.

The deceased’s friend who spoke on condition of anonymity said Oluoch persuaded Valerie to move out of school even though she did not want to. This is not the first time the two have had a heated argument. The couple also have a child together.

The wife of 37 year old Seun Ayoade, pictured above has accused an officer of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Ondo State Police Command, Ojelabi Oladele, of torturing her husband to death because she refused having sex with him while she was married to the deceased.

Gbemisola in an interview with Sahara Reporters, said Seun and officer Ojelabi Oladele were friends and that during her marriage to Seun, Ojelabi had asked her for sex and she turned him down.

He persisted in his request and she repeatedly turned him down on the grounds that she is married and not just that, but that she is married to someone who is his friend. Gbemisola alleged that this did not go down well with Ojelabi who framed her ex-husband up, got him arrested on October 12th and had him tortured to death while in SARS detention.

Ojelabi then dumped Ayoade’s corpse at the morgue of the Ondo State Specialist Hospital in Akure and lied to attendants that the deceased died as a result of gunshot wound he sustained during a duel with the police. Speaking to Sahara Reporters, Gbemisola said

“I can’t just imagine how a friend to my man [Mr. Ayoade] will be asking me for sex. It is very disgusting. Many times he [Mr. Oladele] asked me to go out with him, but I always tell him ‘no’ and that I can’t do it.

Because I turned down his offer, he then decided to punish Mr Ayoade by calling him a criminal, hence his arrest and detention at the SARS office. And despite all this, Inspector Oladele is still threatening to deal me just because I refused to allow him to sleep with me.

They have now killed my husband in their detention center with cooked-up lies that he was an armed robber who died during a gun duel with some police officers,” Gbemisola said

Reacting to her claims, the spokesperson of the Ondo State Police Command, Femi Joseph, said the case was already being investigated and assured that the officer would face the law if he is found culpable of the allegation.

“The Police Commissioner has ordered full-scale investigations into the ongoing case. Although it is an allegation, a panel has been set up, and investigations have begun to unravel the truth of the matter. And if the culprit [officer] is found guilty then he is going to face the prosecution and full wrath of the law,” he said

A human rights activist in the state, Adewumi Owolabi, had already taken up the case and petitioned the police intending to investigate his officers properly.

An Igbo Lady who resides in Ghana is claiming she saw The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu disguising in Ghana.

She claims she saw him at Eddys Pizza in Ghana at about 8:45 pm, yesterday, 11 of December 2017… She says when she saw him, she spoke to him at first, but then he refused to respond to her, not until she spoke Igbo and he responded.

At First, she took to her Facebook wall to write yesterday, after her encounter with Kanu.

She then continued;

She says she regrets not taking pictures, as he refused to speak to her, not until she spoke Igbo;

She was then questioned, if she was 100% certain of her claims;

Then this morning, she took to her wall to write;

“I met the Biafra leader Nnamdi kanu at Eddys pizza Gh at about 8:45pm date 11/12/2017. He was surprised i recognized him and didn’t want to speak to me at first until i spoke igbo and he responded.”

“After all the trouble he caused in Nigeria he has guts to eat pizza?. How long will you keep hiding? He couldn’t even disguise well. Am sorry for those who trusted and believed in him. Rip to those who died for the cause of Biafra. Some persons might doubt me because i have no pictures to show for it.”

“Nnamdi kanu stop hiding and let your people stop blaming the Nigerian government. Am sorry to say but you are a Coward , a deciver and a betrayal ??”
